The refrigerator broke on July 16, 2020, during Covid-19 pandemic, I threw all the foods (a month supply, because we only shop one time a month) and called LG, because there are only 3rd years, I received the repair for free. The reason the refrigerator stopped working was because the compress broke. But it happened again. The refrigerator broke again because of the same problem. I called LG customer again. This time customer service gave me three places to call for repairs. The result is none of them are willing to do the repair job. All of them say because the compress quality is so bad even after they replace it with a new one it will break again, and they will lose money for honor the repair warrant. I called LG again this time they said. They can get somebody from LG to do the repair work but will cost $630 for the labor which is 27.55% of the new machine’s cost and it only has 90 days warrant. I really do not understand how those bad quality refrigerators get in the US market and I believe it is not only I have such bad experience.
