Bought refrigerator in August of 2018 for new house.
Yesterday Jan 27 refrigerator and ice maker stopped working in late day.
Could not reach anyone for emergency service and have lost tons of food. Husband ran out to get dry ice for two coolers $65.00 and the rest spoiled and had to be thrown out.
Looked up on line and found out about class action law suit against LG.
Called their customer service number this morning and was told well it's nearly 5and 1/2 years so tough. The compressor part is under warranty but the labor cost,several hundred dollars is on us.Here is the number call for our repair person.
We are seniors in our 80's and on SS and the cost of this repair as well as loss of expensive food stored in the refrigerator is financially draining for us.
We have other LG products because we thought they were good, my husband was a part time worker in Lowes in their appliance dept for a year after retirement and thought LG was good and responsive to customer complaints.
We are now waiting for tomorrow morning trying to cope with little food. 5years and 5 months and we are left holding and expensive financial bag.
