I bought a battery for my 2017 Nissan Morano at Mavis in Valley Stream NY, in July 2022. (License# NY — CTF1479). The battery malfunctioned and I replaced it at the same Mavis in May 2024. The replacement battery was unfortunately defective (as was likely the original one), and it caused my alternator to malfunction. While riding on the highway, the car suddenly stalled. The tow truck was ready to tow me to the Mavis shop where I bought the battery, but the Mavis shop in Valley Stream informed me that they could not replace an alternator in a 2017 Murano, since it requires a specialist that was unavailable, and I should go elsewhere. The car was towed to another shop who charged me for the alternator, and who also insisted on replacing the battery since it was totally dead. My cost was $750 for a used alternator, $150 for a battery and $272.20 for towing. Had I received a decent battery originally, I would never have had a problem, and my alternator would have not malfunctioned. I am asking for some sort of Mavis service credit for all of the aggravation you caused me and for making me replace the battery for the third time in two years. See below receipts and a picture of the Mavis battery that malfunctioned. My telephone is [protected]-Check your records. I take all of my four cars to Mavis and will go elsewhere in the future if you do not accommodate me for tis horrific experience.
Claimed loss: 1172.20
Desired outcome: Credit for future service
