Alignment
If I could give this shop zero stars I would. I went there in September to get an alignment. I had just purchased new tires from somewhere else. By the beginning of December, I had NO TREAD on my back two tires and my car was fishtailing. I took my car to my mechanic, being a woman I didn't know what was going on at the time, and he told me that my tires were bald from a bad alignment. Fast forward, I took my vehicle back to the place I bought the tires and they told me the same thing. I then went back to Mavis, who had done my alignment, and the manager admitted it was an alignment issue but said it was because I knocked the alignment out by going over speed bumps. I explained that this was my daily driver and I don't go over speed bumps to get to my job. He then stated that the tire sizes were two big also for the back of the car, which was untrue because I have had those tires on my car for a long time and never had that problem until I got an alignment here. He said that he would order tires and call me. Fast forward to January still no call. I went back up there and he told me the corporate office person was in a meeting. I have gone back up there two more times and he has told me the same thing. Being that this is my daily, I have had to replace 3 tires because of a bad alignment with no compensation because the manager nor corporate office want to take accountability.
SN:went and got another alignment at Pep Boys and they showed me how bad the tires were. They were at a 50 something and 60 something and I think they should be no more than 15 if done correctly. I asked him if he wanted to see the pictures and of course he didn't.

I had 4 tires replaced by Mavis Tires in Waxhaw, NC in September 2021 at a cost of $1200. I was told I would get free wheel alignment as part of the service. In fact I had to take it back to the service station a few days later as the alignment was off and it was apparently corrected. Now, little over a year later, the outside of my back tires are almost completely bald! I took the car back to Mavis today and was told that the alignment is off, I will need new tires and should have come in for 6 monthly alignments. This is ridiculous! General guidance suggest yearly alignments are fine. It was obviously never aligned correctly in the first place. What are Mavis going to do about this?!

We initially called for prices on tires since they claim to have the best value.
So we called and the sales lady quoted us at $197 and when we got to the actual store, the guy said that the sales lady told us the wrong price and that it would be $257. He was not trying to listen to what we had to say and then proceeded to tell us that it was our responsibility to ask to be locked in for that sale price.
How are we supposed to know that?! Then the guy kept talking over me and made me more upset! I will not be coming back nor will I ever send any of my friends and family to here, EVER!
Not happy with follow up on service received
I brought my vehicle in for service less than a week ago. I purchased two new tires, wheel alignment, asked to check if the remaining tires had a nail in them, full synthetic oil change, and even paid to have a rear wiper blade replaced. Three days later my check tire pressure light came on. Once I had the opportunity to go back to the location, I asked if someone could check the tire pressure as with all of the work that had been completed and the total that I just spent, I did not think it would have been an issue for them to check all of my brand new tires. I was told I had to wait and/or leave my car for someone to check the tire pressure. The manager on duty did not even take a moment to do it himself after I waited in the customer waiting area for almost 10 minutes to be waited on as he sat at the door with his back turned to the area. This is my second issue with this location and this will be the last time I use their service. It does not matter that it is convenient for me to use them as I will go further away form my home to receive better service. I do not understand that business do not understand that my money, $600 dollars worth of work could have been spent at some one else's business, but it will be moving forward.

Wrong size tires - I drove away speedometer did not work drive directly back to Mavis. I was told nothing wrong. Went to the mechanic I was told wrong size tire was place on car
Drove back to Mavis for a correct tire. New tire was placed on car the wrong way. Wrong rotation. I did not know this until I had to back to my mechanic. So I had to back to Mavis for them to fix again
12/28/22 order tires
12/29 Mavis said tires are in brought car there they took old tires off then realized they only had 3 tires. They placed old tires back on car with no air and told us to come back tomorrow. Had to stop to get air in tires before I could even drive home.

On 12/14/22 I went to Pine Bush Mavis for 2 new tires, an alignment and a new ball joint installed.ball joint installed.ball joint.
After waiting several hours after the promised time, I attempted to drive my car home and the front end started shaking badly. I returned to Mavis to find out that the 2 new tires on the front were never balanced and the 2 tires that had steel reinforcement showing were put on the rear instead of my 2 good tires. At this point they can't locate my good tires so I was forced to buy 2 more tires. Very disappointed.
Desired outcome: Some sort of reimbursement.

Paid over $200 to get new sensors on my tires and low pressure light is still on,they said they tried everything..No big deal but a week later I go to get a $29 New York State inspection and I get a call from good year that 2 of my studs for lug nuts are busted and 1 lug nut is the wrong lugnut..I paid over $200 for an inspection that should cost me $29 minus anything on the vehicle itself. I called the corporate number I was given,filed a complaint saying I would like $150 of my inspection money back..They told me someone higher up would be calling me,this was 2 months ago and still no call(12/25/22) is todays date.. I am beyond pissed that they don’t care enough about their customers to call them back after I went out of my way to discuss something that should have never happened. I have a 3 year old and 5 year old that we’re riding in this vehicle during this time to add to my temper with this stupidity..
Desired outcome: Mavis to step up to the plate in pay me $150 of my money back and apologize for putting me and my kids at risk with broken studs and a wrong lugnut..I still have the wrong lugnut btw
Wheel alignment
First visit ever to mavis shop pooler ga for a wheel alignment. The tech did a great job even tip him 20.00 as a gratitude at a glance. How ever. He failed to tighten the cam bolts. I realized this after driving back home. Clunking sound ect. I returned it back to the shop in pooler ga. Tech named richard. He tighten the cam bolts and offered an apology. I wasn't happy time is money. Now I drove off hit the highway the alignment was off pulling to the right. So I decided to return it to mavis near my home 2045 east victory drive savannah ga where I was greeted by the gm jason an deshaun. I explain to gm the whole story where he offered an apology an with out an appointment took me in and got it done.. Right... Great professionalim and dignity. As marine this is high quality that deserves recognition. And for those who perform below mavis quality of performance. Well I leave that to mavis.3 times for a wheel alignment is just unexcusable.3 time was my charm..

Part was broke at facility, I had to pay for item, very high charges for oil change
Good afternoon,
I was at the location in Shorewood, IL, I sat there for 2 hours and 45minutes. the orginal oil drain plug was broke off by mechanic, I was charged 23.18 for a new one. An oil change and tire rotation should not take that amount of time, even waiting for the part that they broke. The dealer charges 70.00 for an oil change and tire rotation. If I was receiving good service, I still think 140.00 is high, I never paid that much. I will go back to the dealership from now on. Very very disappointed, I asked for coupons, my time is way more valuable than what happened today, no apologies, nothing. I will make sure everyone knows how things are run.. I should of known better when I saw no one in there.
Desired outcome: I would like to see some kind of refund.

I purchased tires from mavis on frankford ave. After leaving my car there at 9:30. I came back by closing and they forgot to install my tires. I called corp they had me deal with stacey. She sent me to the aramingo location. Which installed my tires. A couple of days later tpms light turned on. I visited the aramingo location several times because my tires kept deflating. They decided to take all the tires off in the process breaking a stud which they never replaced. They where gonna clean the tires because corrosion could be the problem which that should have taken place at time of initial install. Surprisingly stacey was visiting location that day. They stated it was the tpms plural that were the problem and that it would be replaced on the house. They never gave me a reciept. So stacey states that because this wasn't placed in the system it never occurred especially since the manager does not work there anymore. My front tire deflated a week ago went down so low I damaged a rim. 1,500.00 to fix rim and get all 4 powder coated plus 200.00for tpms again plural that had to be replaced. So per corp I had to deal with stacey who has no recollection of these incidents. But when I described the women who I saw at the store she said it was her. But because I was never given reciepts. Basically it's like i'm lying or trying to get over. I will never allow them to touch my car bad customer service I will seek legal help.

i hear you,i hit a pot hole and deflated my tire and took it to the royersford location in pa,it was a friday around 230 0r 3 pm,at 330 the guy at the desk showed me the rim was bent,he was a good guy,then i believe it was the head of the shop a tall heavy black gentleman told me it was to late to call the guy they send out the rims to to fix so i left it there till monday around 10 am still no call about the rim as promised to call me first thing to tell me if the rim could be repaired,so i stopped in to check and the big guy didnt even remember me or the rim then told me he would take a pic to see once he got some work caught up on,and expained friday i had no spare my car was on wood blocks in a parking lot so i need to know asap to figure out what im going to do,then calls me back in 5 minutes after i left and told me it couldnt be fixed,i called back and they told me he went to go get breakfast,unreal! so lazy,i took it to another tire place a few miles away and they sent it out,im sure to the same person who fixes all the rims in that area and it was fixe by noon next day perfect,bottom line mavis workers are mostly what they are,suspect at best,you can see it,they are there then gone at least the good ones and the lazy ones like i dealt with ia a lazy one who knows what he can get away with and stays around because he knows he hardly works,put it this way both times i was there he had a white shirt on and both times there was no dirt on it which if you work with tires or cars is impossible unless you avoid work,,,,fact!
computer alignment I did not ask for
I came into the store in North Tonawanda to buy 4 tires. They told me that I would get a discount, of buy 4 tires get one free. Upon looking at my bill, I was charged $99.99 for a computerized wheel alignment that I did not ask for or did not want. So that is how you get a free tire. you actually got a discount of $14.01. If I wanted an alignment I would have asked for it. My jeep was tracking fine. I have driven it for the last 5 years and I check my tires monthly. There was no indication of extra wear on the tires. Also when the ribbon on the antiquated dot matrix printer that this shop uses starts printing where you can barely read it. Change the ribbon or get into the 21st century and buy an inkjet. I do not think I will be back to any mavis in the future. The date was 11/23/2022 at 10 am, approx.
Desired outcome: refund of $99.99 that I paid for something I did not want.
Repair
Went in have the service man look at a noise coming from the idler pulley to get a price for the repair. Told me that they were closing in 45 min and all the mechanics were to busy to look at it. Needed to make an appointment for service to look at pulley and get me a price. The people that you hire at the counter have no experience in car repair? I feel that your company doesn't properly service customers needs. I ve had service done there before.
Desired outcome: I will never go to a mavis service center for car repairs

We went to the Mavis on 11/20/2022 at 74 E. Westfield Ave, Roselle Park, NJ. location. We went there for 4 new tires and came out with TPSM sensors that have not been able to fix. We did not have this issue when we came in but when we left on 11/20/2022 the TPSM sensor came on. We were told by Mavis to drive our vehicle 10 miles so it may reset if it didn't to please bring it in the morning. We came back on 11/21/2022 to repair the sensor several hours later we came back and were told the TPSM sensor were fixed, we picked up the car and the TPSM sensor came back on hours later. I called corporate and spoke to them and was told that someone would call me which was Sean a Regional District Manager he told us to bring the car back again. This is our 3rd time in 2 days. He instructed his mechanics to have them put more psi in the tires due to the temperature dropping and that should work. We did today 11/25/2022 we had there technicians check it out they said all the sensors were working but were not reading the system and they instructed us to take it to the dealership. We went to the dealership the same day and there conclusion was more than likely the sensors were damaged by Mavis. We went to Pep Boys and told us that the sensors are not working but Mavis told us that they were, we need this fixed not only is it dangerous for us but for our children. We did not come in with this issue or never had this issue since we had this car we only came in for 4 new tires we need this issue resolved please. I can be reached on my cell at [protected].

Brakes, wheel bearing, oil change
I have given Mavis so many times to show they are capable taking in
Consideration of the staff not being real mechanics but hoping the one mechanic will check work done by the the workers with not much experience but they failed to come to the plate in the last 3 yrs Mavis cost me thousands in damages caused by their inexperience. here are a list of inefficient work :
1. Bad Wheel bearing …. they changed the wrong bearing and had to have it repaired by real mechanics at a cost of 780$ but to be fair they gave me a credit after I complained and fought for it …I had 90$ credit on the books so I had an oil change in my Lexus RX but they ended stripping my oil pan and cost me 890$ for new oil pan 7 months later
2. today I had to replace my rear brakes that I replaced by Mavis 7000 miles ago June6 2021 now brakes should last for at least 20000 miles but I found out they use inferior products instead of ceramic they used organic brake pads because they wear faster so you need to replace them sooner that equals more business not customer friendly at all so 6700 miles I needed new brakes cost me 513$ back brakes should last much much longer but by using inferior parts the customer bears the brunt.
I know I won’t be taken in consideration for the unnecessary anxiety I had to go through but I won’t give Mavis any Good reviews at all …I think you should just stick to tire applications but even that I heard of nightmares of the lug nuts being put on the wrong way …I mean that hard to do but it’s been done several times..
You can take this review any way you want but your company is a detriment to drivers very dangerous to do work on cars that can cause accident and death.. wake up and shape up your ship…this is one person that won’t be patronizing your establishment. Sorry but if you in uppermanegement would check out your company instead of how much your making in $ you would have better reviews and I know I’m not the only one disappointed in Mavis there are thousands

But this was the last straw between my brakes my oil pan and wheel bearing it cost me over 2000$ in the inferior work…
Desired outcome: Not to work on any mechanicals parts on any car because you can cause accidents and death …stuck with just selling tires I’d appreciate response
tire installation and alignment
On 11/19/22 i had an appointment to get 4 (Not so Discounted ) new tires and a alignment for my care. i showed up on time for my appointment at 11: 00 AM and left keys with representative. I arranged a ride until my car was done. I've waited 5 hrs for a call back but that call never came. Just as they were closing i called Mavis back up, and they told me my car was not ready... What? You had 4, 5 technicians on and you could'nt finish my car , why? Because Mavis ran out of time and could'nt Align my car... Leave it here or come back tomorrow im told, are you kidding ! Not only was most of my day waisted i need my car , had things to do... drove car over night with out alignment i had to come back the following day 11/20/22 for them to finish alignment. Tire install
After dealing with Ed and Adam via phone at the Pittsfield Dalton ave location I become very disgusted and disillusioned by the lack of inter team work and communication. First Adam gave me a price and told me I had to pay for the special order # 4 Cooper Discover Snow Claw studdable snow tires. I had 1 week to have tires installed. When I called back I spoke to Ed who said I didn’t have to put a deposit on the above mentioned tires and that I had been misinformed and order the 4 tires to be installed on the 13th of November 2022. I called on the 11th of November to be informed by Ed that only e tires had arrived to call back Friday the 12th of November. Upon calling on the 12th of November Adam informed me he was to busy to check on the arrival of the tire. Note Adam has quite the attitude on the phone. I refer to them has phone muscles. So on Saturday the 13th of November I called. No one answered the phone until 930am. At this point Adam said I couldn’t have the tires installed. So we agreed to the 14th of November. After waiting at Mavis for 2 and 1/2 hours Matt informed me the wrong tire size was shipped. So I called on the 16th of November to talk to Matt and Adam rudely told me Matt would not be in until tomorrow the 16th of November. After speaking to Matt on the 16 of November we agreed to the 18th of November @ 8am. Upon arriving on the 18th of November at 753AM I was informed by Ed it didn’t matter that I had an appointment. So I been sitting here since 8AM. Truck finally when into bay @ 943Am.
