Mavis Discount Tire Service of all-wheel alignment

I bought 4 new tires (Michelin Defender 08218) on 1/06/23. The mileage on my car at that time was approximately 86,100. The first time it snowed after I bought these tires, the car did not handle well. It would pull. I thought I just needed to get used to these new tires. This problem continued on so I brought back the car 4/05/23 (88,000 mileage) for Mavis to inspect why the car would slip and pull in even a little snow. At that time, they said everything was good, no issue they could find. The problem continued, in July my car slid on wet pavement. I decided to look at the tires. I could see that they were bald on the front outer edges. I took the car back to Mavis (92,172 mileage). They couldn't explain why that happened. I think that my alignment was not done properly, how else could my car have issues from the beginning and have tires worn down to the belt after being driven approximately 6,194 miles. They said the only thing they could do was sell me 2 more tires. I had to buy these tires for safety reasons, but I feel Mavis should have replaced them for free as it was their error that caused this problem.

Desired outcome: I should be reimbursed for the cost of these replacement tires. Although they gave me a good price because I had the warranty. It was their fault that the tires had worn badly since the alignment was not done properly.

Mavis Discount Tire Alignment

I purchased new tires under the contract that for the life of the tire I could get unlimited alignments. now that mavis has bought tire kingdom I'm told I have to pay for alignments. after preforming the alignment was when I was told id have to pay. the tire kingdom name is still on the building and the invoice. I went to tire kingdom and fully expected the contract be up helped. I believe I am due my money back as it clearly states in the contract that I have unlimited alignments for the life of my tires. not the life of the business. even such with the name on the building and the invoice you are contractually obligated to fulfill the agreement. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Mavis Discount Tire Customer service

This morning we dropped off the car for an oil change. We said we needed it before noon. The person at the desk that took out order said it would be ready”we’ll before noon”. We arrived after 11:30 and the car had not been touched. The young man at the counter insisted that no one would have told us this and proceeded to talk disrespectfully and quite rudely to my husband and me. He yelled tgat he didn’t need our business and to get our!we’ve been customers since before this location was a Mavis and have never been treated like this before though honestly I have been promises services would be done by a certain time and they weren’t., I have never seen this person at the Mavis before and he has no business being in any sort of customer service.

Desired outcome: I would like a formal apology and frankly would recommend firing this individual.

Mavis Discount Tire Oil change

I am sitting here in the shop on route 9 in English town New Jersey waiting for my car and it’s been on the lift for 30 mins now and ashen I asked the manger what’s the story as he sits by the window playing on his phone.. the other three guys playing catch with a ball outside and he tells me the guy is in the bathroom.. I’ve been coming here for years and the service has always been good and now that whole crew the manger said got fired.. maybe they should be brought back and get rid of this crew.. Mavis Discount Tire Sales/customer service

Purchased 4 brand new tires for 149.99 in February of 2022 which were supposed to have 50,000 MILES, I only put approximately 25-30,000.

On Sunday, June 18, 2023 was traveling eastbound on route 78 in New Jersey in fast moving traffic, when all of a sudden my vehicle started to shake, spun around into oncoming traffic causing my wife to hit her head on the window which caused trauma and the entire blew out.

Brought the car back to your Mavis dealership located on Memorial Parkway in Phillipsburg, NJ and spoke to the assistant manager and training Manager and they stated that they cant do anything for me that i would have to call Continental Tire Corporate office and in the mean time have to purchase new tires.

Purchased 2 new tires and was charged 172.99 per tire, $20.00 per tire for new sensors (which i didnt need) $7.00 for disposing of old tire and $25.00 per tire for warranty.

On Monday June 19, 2023 my wife called to make sure tires arrived and what time the care would be ready and was told "yea there in and will get done" then hung up on,

Upon her arrival to pick up the care explained to the same training manager from previous day that when she called she was rudely hung up on, and he stated that it must have been the Manager Jonathan, he always acts like that when hes hangry, Johnathan came and stated that he always acts like that when he hasnt eaten lunch (it was 4pm) .

She then proceeded to pay and asked if the good tire was in the trunk and Jonathan stated no that she has to back up and they would put both tires in the trunk, she then asked why the bad one since she told them that she wrote to Continental tire wouldnt they need to come see the tire there and the Manager Jonathan stated that no since i bought new tires this is all null and avoid.

The Manager Jonathan and the training manager laughed the whole time my wife was there and did not accommodate her in any way.

I went back there the next day June 20th, and they all thought it was a beg joke.

I would like to be apologized to for the rude was my wife and i were treated and some type of compensation and reimbursement for illegal charges.

Desired outcome: Apology for the rudeness and reimbursement and compensation for all of our troubles.

Mavis Discount Tire New Tire Installation

Back in Dec 2022

Mavis location in Toms River NJ installed two brand new tires. Everything seemed to be fine.

In May 2023, I took my vehicle to a dealership for service, and they noticed two of the tires were flipped; the inside of the tire was on the outside. This was news to me. Due to time constraints, the dealership could not/would not fix the problem.

I made an appointment with Mavis in Freehold, NJ on Rt 9. I am waiting on final price, etc. Due to this Mavis being a different location than the original install Mavis location, I understand if this location has to charge me.

Desired outcome: Please address this issue with your sites. taking an extra minute to ensure tasks are done correctly will maintain customer/clientele trust.

Mavis Discount Tire Mavis tire - tire air inflation, oil change issues

I had gone to Mavis Tire on 4/25/23. I spent $1,686.45. I purchased four new tires, alignment, Front brakes, brake rooters, fluids, and oil change. The following weekend the Tire Light came on as well as I noticed the oil change display did not reflect 100%. I went back to Mavis and they fixed the issues. A few weeks later, the oil pan guard came off and was dragging along while I was on I-84. There were sparks and it was a very scary ride home. When I got home, my husband used garbage bag ties in order to secure it in place. We called Mavis Brewster and they said to bring it in. So the next morning, on 5/27/23, my husband called Brewster Mavis and whoever answered the phone said to bring it in. I drove from Wappingers Falls to Brewster so that it could be fixed properly. When I got there, the manager was so nasty to me and angrily said "NO, I TOLD YOUR HUSBAND YOU WOULD HAVE TO DROP IT OFF". He was argumentative. I too, was angry and felt it was best to leave to avoid a scene as there were other customers. I had wasted my time driving from Wappingers Falls to Brewster. So I would like to get my oil pan guard fixed properly without the hostility that I encountered in the past. I work in Brewster but could go to a different shop if the employees are more respectful. Please contact me so we can resolve this. Thank you

Desired outcome: I would like to have this fixed in a respectful environment before I need another oil change. I am not sure how much longer the garbage ties will work.
