The dealership is tryin to overcharge for simple repairs
The dealership is tryin to overcharge for simple repairs. I went to Mike Maroone Honda for a repair on my car, and they quoted me a price that was way too high. It's like they think I don't know anythin about cars and they can just take advantage of me. I did some research and found out that the price they were askin was way above the average for that type of repair. I ended up goin to another mechanic who charged me a fair price and did a great job fixin my car. I won't be goin back to Mike Maroone Honda for any repairs in the future. They need to be more honest with their customers and not try to rip them off.
I bought a car from Mike Maroone Honda, but it had lots of recalls and electrical problems
I bought a car from Mike Maroone Honda, but it had lots of recalls and electrical problems. So, I told them I didn't want the car, and it was within the return time they allow. They came and took it back, but they never told the loan companies like they should have. Now, those loans show a bad mark on my credit, stopping me from getting anything.
I bought a car from Mike Maroone Honda in September
I bought a car from Mike Maroone Honda in September . The day after I got it, the check engine light came on and I had it checked. They said it needed catalytic converters. I told the dealership, but they said nothing was wrong. Well, now it's March and they finally decided to check again and saw that it really did need catalytic converters. But they want me to pay $450 plus the cost to fix the rear main seal. That's not fair! I had a 60-day warranty when I first mentioned the problem, but they ignored me! Conley and Cameron lied to me. I want my car fixed or traded without me having to pay anything. I have paperwork that proves the catalytic converters needed to be replaced in 2019, well within the 60-day warranty.

I bought a truck and tried to register it at the DMV because my plates were expired
I bought a truck and tried to register it at the DMV because my plates were expired. Turns out, the DMV didn't get my purchase records, so I had to buy an extension plate. I shouldn't have had to do that! I called Mike Marooned Honda and they told me to talk to the finance department, but they weren't there. I didn't leave a message. Later that day, I called again and they answered. They told me that I was supposed to get a call earlier letting me know that the DMV couldn't receive my records without weighing my vehicle first. They didn't tell me this. Okay! So my husband went in for me to get the vehicle weighed. Once again, the finance department wasn't there, but they said that if the DMV doesn't get my information on time, they'll issue a new extension for my plates. Unacceptable! This shouldn't have happened in the first place. I'm so mad. Buying a car has never been this hard.
I just sold my car back to Mike Maroone Honda, the same place where I had an extended warranty
I just sold my car back to Mike Maroone Honda, the same place where I had an extended warranty. They told me they would cancel the warranty and give me a refund. I've tried calling and emailing multiple times to sort this out, but no luck. I had to leave a review on Google just to get a call back. The person who called, maybe the manager or general manager, was really unprofessional. They said, "Why should I help you when you leave a review like that?" That's exactly what they said. We talked some more, and they promised to take care of it. They gave me the personal line of another manager who would handle everything. I sent him the requested payoff note, but haven't heard anything since. I've called, left voicemails, and sent texts, but no response.
I bought a car from Mike Maroone Honda and I've been having some issues
I bought a car from Mike Maroone Honda and I've been having some issues. The salesperson told me that the catalytic converters had just been replaced, so I decided to buy it. However, the next day, the check engine light came on. I bought a warranty to ensure that the car would be covered, but when I mentioned the issue to a manager, they accused me of lying. I escalated the situation and spoke to a higher-level manager, who put me back in touch with the same manager. This manager suggested that I try a fuel treatment, but even after doing that, the problem still persists.
To make matters worse, the salesperson promised to schedule an appointment to have my other vehicle looked at, but no appointment has been made yet. I have already paid $5000 for warranties and made down payments of $2500 and $2300 on the two cars. I have tried calling, texting, and even visiting the dealership to get my cars fixed or to have the warranties canceled and refunded. I just want to go somewhere that actually cares about their customers and not just making a sale.
To add insult to injury, the other car needs new catalytic converters, despite being told by both the salesperson and my mechanic that they had just been replaced. It seems like they not only lied to us but also refuse to fix the issue. It's frustrating because it feels like they have conveniently forgotten about our previous conversations. All I want is for my vehicles to be fixed or for my warranty to be canceled and refunded.
I bought a new 2018 Honda Civic from this dealership
I bought a new 2018 Honda Civic from this dealership. I paid about 2000$ in warranty/s. I found out on my own that I could have gotten a refund for the warranty/s when I traded in my Honda for a new Acura a few months later in August . I've called this dealership multiple times since September , around 6 months after returning from Iraq, and now over 8 months later. They've lied to me, saying they sent me a check with the refunded money for the warranty/s. But I haven't received 1000$+ in my hand or my bank account, so it's clear that was a lie. I'm not just disappointed as a customer, but also hurt as a veteran in this community. It's disrespectful and shows a lack of care for my finances and me as a person. The lack of respect from one person to another is completely unacceptable. As a business, your main job is to make the customer happy. And you've failed. The increasing number of recent 1-star reviews on Google and other websites shows that you're still failing. I would wish you luck, but you probably won't even read this because you don't care. It's obvious to me and many others.
Me and my husband bought a car from Mike Maroone Honda in September
Me and my husband bought a car from Mike Maroone Honda in September . It was a black 2020 Honda Pilot black edition. We got warranties with the auto loan. Since we're in the military, we had to move to *** of *** joint base ***. Because the cost of living here is high, we decided to trade in our vehicles for cheaper ones. The loan was fully paid off for the trade-in, and we were supposed to get money back for the warranties on both cars. My husband received his refund for the unused warranty in just 5 days. We contacted Mike Maroone Honda in August to get my refund as well. They asked us to send over some paperwork to cancel the warranties. We emailed them the documents they requested, showing the payoff and mileage. They said they canceled it, but I kept getting notifications about oil changes for a car I no longer have. We contacted them again, and they said they canceled it once more. We've been leaving voicemails and getting the runaround about the money owed to us. It's now December, and we're still getting the runaround, with people blaming each other at their workplace. Yesterday, we got someone else's voicemail with no response. It should only take 5 days to get our check, but it's been 4 months.
Salesman was unprofesional and did not have answers to our questions about rust, the dent on the car, etc
Salesman was unprofesional and did not have answers to our questions about rust, the dent on the car, etc. The car itself had some interior cosmetic issues and mechanical issues. We still were made to pay the peak of *** Blue Book value. We were told the car was being detailed for hours, but upon bringing it home we found the previous owners belongings such as umbrella and registration. I had to find our salesman when we saw our car parked outside after being detailed. He thought we left to get food without a car? At the end of the transaction we were exhausted and starving. The salesman told me he was going to FOLLOW ME TO MY HOUSE to pick up the title for the trade in after we agreed to me bringing it the next day. Out of fear for safety we said no.I purchased the car with a dent on the hood, with their promise to fix it. They had to replace the hood as well as the clamp. The newly painted replacement hood is already chipping and was entirely misaligned, leading me to bring it back TWICE after the initial replacement to have it fixed. It wouldnt latch, was realigned, visibly off. I have had the car diagnosed at a different dealership for a sound Ive heard since purchasing the car. Apparently the front axels need to be replaced. I brought it back to Honda since I had a warranty. I signed for diagnostics and was never told exactly what they found, just that they ordered axels. I had previously asked for a specific part when I dropped the car off. She refused the part number and put aftermarket axels on my *** WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I am currently in a loaner car while they wait for proper parts to come in. They want me to make another 40 min drive there to swap out the loaner cars because they sold the one I am currently in. This has happened with another loaner while was in for repair for hood. That prior loaner was given to me with gaslight on, crumbs, and cranking mechanical sounds while turning.
In December , I bought a 2016 Jeep Renegade from MM Honda
In December , I bought a 2016 Jeep Renegade from MM Honda. My credit was bad and I had to settle for what I could get. After a couple of days, I noticed that the transmission was shifting really hard. It was clear that it wouldn't last for the entire loan period. Within a week, I reached out to the financial manager *** who helped me, to discuss returning the vehicle due to the motor issue. He said, "We'll buy it back from you for its value." But that value was $5k less than what I had just paid for it a week ago. It was crazy! They wouldn't let me return this lemon, which was terrible. Also, *** added the extended warranty to my contract without asking me, which was a first. The next morning, I contacted him to cancel it as soon as possible. He sent me the paperwork to sign via email, and I signed and sent it back. Turns out, the paperwork was never processed. So when I had enough money to buy myself out of the *** Jeep that I was sold, I foolishly went back to the dealership. Now, I had a loan that was $10k more than its worth because the contract was never canceled. I paid $4k down and returned the Jeep so I could get a reliable new Honda Civic. This happened on 2/18/2022. It's been a month now, and the Jeep hasn't been paid off. Late payments have been reported on my credit report, which is a huge blow. The Honda dealership is giving me the runaround and not responding. Even the bank thinks this is a ridiculous way to handle business. I just spoke to the finance manager, ***, and the bank on the phone. The finance manager confirmed that the payment "was sent" by one of the new girls but was never withdrawn from their bank account? Okay? So, let's fix this. How do you let a payment slip through the cracks and get reported on someone's credit report as unpaid? And why are they ignoring me or giving me different answers every time I call? Well, at least they made two sales from me!
I took my van to the shop because of a problem with the gas pedal
I took my van to the shop because of a problem with the gas pedal. I used the text message chain to ask for a quote on cleaning and lubricating both sliding doors. They texted back and said it would cost $160, which was too expensive for us. So, we decided to just pick up the van. But then they corrected themselves and said it would actually be $60. We agreed to go ahead with the service. When I went to pick up the van, they told me it would be $160. I reminded them about our text message where they said it was $60. They insisted that they were right and that I misunderstood. They still wanted $160, even though there was confusion. I want the $100 difference refunded because of the misunderstanding.
I also brought up another issue with my van. There is a concerning vibration in the gas pedal. They said they would do a full diagnostic test to figure out the problem. *** became my service advisor. While the van was in the shop, she told me that the aftermarket mats were causing the vibration and the technician adjusted them. I wasn't sure if that would solve the problem, so I asked if they did a full vibration diagnostic test. She said they did and that the technician couldn't feel the vibration anymore. However, when I picked up the van, the gas pedal still vibrated. I told *** about it and said I wanted to try other diagnostic tests. She referred me to ***, but I left two voicemails and haven't heard back from them. Finally, I spoke to *** in service and explained my concerns. He apologized and said he would let *** know and have them call me. It's been almost a week and I still haven't heard from either *** or ***. I want to explore other options for diagnostics.
Finance manager *** sold me an invalid windshield replacement warranty
Finance manager *** sold me an invalid windshield replacement warranty. *** states that contract is not valid for the *** make of auto. I purchased a *** on 10/26. It was a very strange and troubling experience dealing with Mike Maroone ***. I have returned several times trying to sift through the various lies and misrepresentations having to do with aftermarket warranties. Each time I called the warranty companies directly only to find that I had been lied to by the finance manager ***. He sold me a *** ($1800) that it would cover damage to the touch screen in my car and that I could return every year to get such items as a new battery and new brake shoes, wipers etc. free of charge. He said that it would cover damage by rats it they ate the wiring from the underside of the car (you can't make this stuff up). All of the above was false according the ***. He was obviously trying to find the exact fear in me to exploit. He also sold me an oil change contract ($500) and said that this would prevent me from getting "$10/hr mechanics" that would otherwise be used at Maroone ***. I have since cancelled these 2 contracts. I wonder if and when I will receive a refund from Maroone ***. During the closing, *** persuade me to buy a windshield warranty even though I told him that I had good coverage from my insurance company. He stated that *** wouldn't be able to handle the *** sensing camera in the windshield. When I called *** they stated that they usually use *** for most of their claims. Several days ago I called *** and I was finally showing up in their system. I asked them to email a PDF of the contract. Their representative and I went over the contract. *** had sold me the "Luxury" 5 year coverage($846). I will attach the *** contract and the Coverage Options that was presented to me when I bought the car. Directly from the *** warranty PDF: "Provides for the repair or full replacement of the treated windshield." I signed the pricing agreement for my *** on Friday afternoon. It was picked up in *** and driven here on Saturday and I bought it that afternoon. The windshield was never treated with the *** solution. I did not realize that I was buying a warranty for a product that I had not purchased and that had not been applied to my car. It took several weeks and phone calls to *** to figure out that this is a warranty for a car care product, and only windshields treated by it. I had never heard of *** before this incident. It gets worse: the contract says "*** applies to ***..not to exceed and aggregate total of $5,000...Standard vehicle coverage applies to non-luxury vehicles and shall not exceed aggregate of $1200 or $600 each claim. The Luxury contract that I was sold does not apply to the *** make and according to *** it will not be honored for *** vehicles. As far as I can tell, I paid $846 for a worthless piece of paper. The rep at *** stated that maybe I would qualify for the standard. I paid for the 5K policy and maybe I could get the $1200 policy. And there is a lot of "ifs" here. If an adjuster came out to inspect possible future damage he would notice that there was no protective coating and thus no coverage. He could also refer to the contract stating that there is no coverage for *** vehicles. This is not a contract and it offers me no value. This was a nice bit of profit for Mike Maroone *** and it's not likely that they care if there is any value for the consumer. They are taking advantage of consumers who are unfamiliar with the new technology and when the buyer is overwhelmed and uninformed this a good opportunity to make a lot of last minute profits. Most consumers may not realize that they have been taken until damage occurs to their car in future years. It has been a miserable car buying experience. To be lied to by a car company you trusted.
