Motel 6 the service staff was so rude and disrespectful and racist

i made an reservation for June the second to June the fourth and i call to cancellation and the front desk employee was a racist person and he didn't give me time to explain why and it really hurt me because they don't doing veteran and triple a discounts and he rejected me because i am a black female and he was rudly, disrespectful and hung the phone in my face and i don't want to stay in an hotel were there is no colored allowed that means black people and veterans that fought in the war and injured to protect disrespected in employees from motel6

Motel 6 drugs being sold, prostitution, loitering, major safety concern

Checked in to the Motel 6 in La Mesa, Ca on 5/21 at about 1pm. Stayed to wait to p/u my husband from the airport that evening. As soon as night fall came, it became overwhelmingly dangerous. P/U husband, returned to hotel at 11::00, grabbed our things, told the manager what I observed. Asked for a refund, was told no. Asked for receipt; told computers down.

My dog was killed because of the recklessness of Motel 6 at Missin valley, 2424 Hotel Circle North. Just one month before a couple returned from dinner to find their door wide open and their dog missing. They found their dog on another floor. Security promised to look into it and get back to them. Then refused. One month later, my door is wide open and my dog is dead on the highway. I was evicted and the general manager made a false complaint to police about me.

I stayed at that same location this past memorial weekend. It was awful. My neighbor was on drugs and trashed the room. It took 5 police officers to arrest him. Horrible experience

Motel 6 stay on 5/14/18

On May 14th, 2018 we stopped at your hotel to try and just get a decent night of sleep along the way to our destination. We have stayed at the chain before and after seeing your website and that it had the newer renovations that others have had, assumed it'd be the same standards.

Upon check in, the clerk asked if he smoked(bc he had cigarettes in his pocket). He stated yes, but he never smokes in or around the exterior doors or anywhere even close to where the employees deem it ok to smoke. Ironically. He was told a smoking room was our only option regardless. (I should mention that I have asthma and he can't smoke anywhere near me but they didn't want to hear it). We were exhausted by that point and decided to just make the best of it.
Mistake.
The room WREAKED of stale smoke. We left the door open a while and sprayed the entire bottle of travel febreeze to help.
Then we started looking around. The light switches were CAKED with just grime and dirt, those that had covers at least. The vent in bathroom was disgusting. The tub was filthy and literally cleaned it out with shampoo just to shower. The floors were water stained. Even the fire alarm had been ripped out which I believe is illegal. The windows hadn't been cleaned in ages and were textured from so much filth. Then you get to the bedding. The top blanket, cigarette-hole, burned up bedding that was obviously not washed in months. Oily dirty stains everywhere on both beds. We had to peel them off and pile on chairs just to not see them.
Apparently the way this location "disposes" of nasty bedding is to cram it all under the outside staircases all wadded up on the dirty concrete. There was probably ten sheets thrown under there "hidden" yet anyone could see if you had to walk up the stairs.
I have never in my life seen such utter disregard, neglect and filth at a motel 6 in my life. I have never written about or to a hotel because of stay issues or accommodations but this needed addressed.
I have included pics showing room number and the "accommodations". I will also be forwarding to the corporate offices.
I think the absolute LEAST motel 6 can do is to refund the nights stay and I do mean that's the least. This was our first night of our trip and put us off to a very bad start. Thankfully we didn't have issues at any other of the six hotel nights along the way.

I’ve left exactly ONE complaint ever, while I see you’ve posted in excess of 2400 negative, name-calling and derogatory comments on other people’s posts just to elicit a response.

To everyone else that actually matters, I hope my post helps shed light on an obvious issue st this location. And yes, I’ve already received an apology from the company along with their acknowledgement of the issues. Thank you and have a great day!

The fact you believe pics are fake tells me you never stayed there. I only posted so people can be aware and not to wait until too tired to go elsewhere on a trip and stop here thinking their site is a good representation of their actual rooms. It is not. Clearly your post is indicative of someone with nothing better to do than stalk complaints and add your 2¢ worth when you’ve no idea of the situation. Makes me sad that anyone could need attention that desperately.
Keep your integrity intact, derogatory comments to yourself and factual, and try to be a bit more of a class act, you’ll find it makes you less likely to lash out at others to make yourself feel better. Just an idea. :)
I hope everyone has a nice day and just trying to give a heads up, who knows maybe it’ll make the hotel clean up their act so it’s all good and worthwhile.

Motel 6 elder abuse by manager tracy/ financial, verbal, mental and cause of current homelessness, and sleeping in hospital emergency rooms!

Went to front desk to obtain my coffee, my current balance paid to receipt, sugar and to inquire about the chula vista police, chula vista fire dept., and chula vista ambulance dept. A guest had some drug concens possible overdose. There is drugs being sold chyrstal meth, weed, crack, other drugs! My new grey bucket with my clean towels were stolen which were in front of my room, floors were still unclean after the maid clean room towels I used were black with dirt and dust caused my asthma to cause breathing concerns, the manager tracy refused to allow me to obtain my prescriptions went to er have been in er's everyday since 05/07/2018, filing elder abuse charges today at san diego police and san diego district attorney's office, elder abuse advocate and san diego county adult protective services, tracy and the asst. General manager alan lucero are facing 6 months jail/prison time plus a $1, 000.00 fine. See them arrested and in criminal court asap!

Motel 6 room

We stayed at 7474 North high street location from the 18th through the 20th of this month. Room was booked under my name which is Denise West. I'm attaching pictures to give you an idea of how disgusting the room was. We came back the night of the 19th and found a dead squished bug on the wall. We were reluctantly willing to accept that the room was not only the worst in appearance and standards room we've ever stayed in before but also not the cleanest. That was until our second night there seeing that whomever "cleaned" our room very obviously killed a bug on the wall and then left it!

Motel 6 refund needed

I booked two reservations with your hotel located in pompano beach, in which i did use the hotel from the 19th until the 20th. I was charged 96.31 for this stay I was informed at 9pm on the 20th that i could no longer stay with this hotel because there was never a payment for the stay dated 5/19. I contacted my bank and placed them on speaker so your employee could hear the charges. She then provided me with the receipt. I never provided my credit card to your hotel online or in person. I was then informed by hotels.com that oi was also charged for the stay between the 20th and the 21st. I spent over 4 hours together on the phone back and fourth I have attached the receipts as well as the cancellation that one of your employees took upon themself. ALso i have attached the screenshots of the booking confirmation and all follow up emails that i received following your employee rudely for lack of a better word "kicking me out" after I was already checked in for over 24 hours. Hotels.com also had 34 very long conversations with your employee. Because of these "issues" that happened for i can only gather no reason at all I no longer had a hotel to sleep. I was unable to make another reservation elsewhere because of availablity and check in time. My card was charged 3 seperate times d96.31 and once 78.39. This issue needs to be resolved and resolved a.s.a.p

Motel 6 motel stay

I stayed three nights attending a graduation at UC Berkeley. The first night was pleasant and uneventful. The night of Friday, May 18, I couldn't sleep because of an automatic refilling of the toilet upstairs from me (I was at 1507) I went to office in the middle of the night. Sherry tried but the occupants upstairs hanged up on her. The morning of Saturday May 19 Around 8 am I reported all of this to counter. They promised me I would get a different room for Saturday night and promised they would look into the leaking toilet upstairs from 1507. When I came back that night, I was still assigned to noisy room due to leaking toilet upstairs. I told Sherry I couldn'tt handle another night like the previous one. She scrambled and tried her best, gave me a room in the back. It reeked of cigarette smoke even though it was "non smoking". At least it was quiet and I was able to sleep. The morning after I finally checked out of this horrible $350 ordeal. Motel 6 in Southern California is not the Hilton, but Adequate. Motel 6 Oaklan Airport is a different story, ..simply put: horrible

Motel 6 motel 6 spring st. jersey

Online it says the price was $79 before tax, they charged us $150 per night. They didn't tell us about the free valet; we drove around for over 30 minutes until another customer told us. There is a hole in our bathroom wall. The floor, sheets, and tub were dirty. We tried calling the front desk for more towels; no one answered. We went down to the front desk and they told us to wait an hour.

Motel 6 establishment

Establishment needs to be shut down the elevators are always broken sometimes people get stuck sometimes its smoking the fat manager shane is a [censored] very rude and unprofessional the housekeeping boy steals from everyones room staff doesnt speak english half of them are illegal immigrants not even suppose to be in this country ice machines always broke no coffee no towels and they refuse to change my sheets if i havent been here for over 7 days the place is a [censored] in the wall everythings broke bugs in the rooms and the whole staff sucks bunch of racist mexicans housekeeper lady is very rude no english also been here almost 2 weeks this will be my last stay they make me sick and they keep coming in my room after i said no service manager doesn't do anything to resolve problem just sits on his big [censored] but tell us whats a policy the place is a [censored] in the wall i will be gone tomorrow i dont care about a refund the place sucks !

Motel 6 customer service

I am recently staying at the motel 6 in pigeonforge tn and I have to say.. This is the worst motel I have ever stayed at, I asked for an extra blanket because the bed my children were sleeping in the blanket had cigarette burns all over it as well as the duvet. They refused to give me another blanket or extra pillows that I needed for my back. When I tried to call the front desk you could barely hear front desk personnel and they couldn't hear me at all so they hung up and didn't care to apologize or offer to fix the situation. I will be warning everyone I can via social media and via by mouth just how bad this motel is! I would think also for paying 80.00 a night for this dump they would at the very least offer a trial size bottle of shampoo with the 4 bars of soap we have..

Motel 6 everything.

I have been a long term stay individual at this Motel. The overall condition of this Motel at best is old. Originally was a Knights Inn. During my time here, I have had to clean my own room, including washing my own sheets, pillow cases, etc. I have had to buy my own soap, toilet tissue, etc. Today was the first day in three months that housekeeping came and cleaned my room. Currently under a new owner who at times is not that friendly. I stay here because I am now retired and the price is right. All I ask for is at least once per week to come and clean my room. This Motel does not have a great reputation amongst the other hotels and motels in the area. If Motel 6 wants to continue to have its name on this property, have some professionalism. I am also a veteran with 30 years of service. I expect respect as a paying customer. Thanks

Motel 6 management

I have recently stayed at Motel 6 and i witnessed an employee calling in saying he or she would be late and the manager was getting upset with the employee over the phone. It had seemed as if the employee mentioned the attitude the manager had for them and he told her not to worry about coming into work. Its very simple for management team to say "alright, no problem. See you when you arrive. Drive safe!" However this man got angry over the phone. I did NOT think this was acceptable what-so-ever! I feel sorry for the employees at this property. Theyre a lovely staff. This new manager here however has made them roll eyes behind his back and make faces because of the way he talks to them. Does he not realize that we see his behavior? Something needs to be done. He needs to be spoken to in private about his attitide toward his amazing staff.

Motel 6 motel 6 in gainesville

We came down here to have my dad evaluated for the transplant list at shands. We rented to rooms 251 & 253, we payed 267$ for 4 nights. I stayed in room 251 an it was an awful experience all around. The outlets in the room couldn't be used to plug in cell phone or computer with out it shorting out all the lights on same wall as outlet, major fire hazard. We arrived the evening of the 14th and as I pulled back the covers the pillow was covered in a yellowish smelly stain that looked fresh like the linens had not been changed before we arrived. The morning of the 15th I went to shower before leaving for hospital and there were roaches in the shower, I have video of this, because I am terrified of them and was furious I just paid 267$ for a room this disgusting. I went to the front desk to let them know about issues and they offered to change rooms for me so we went to look at new room and half the lights did not work and there was hair in the refrigerator and microwave, not to mention all on floors, idk who cleans for this hotel but they suck! After deciding that one nasty room is the same as the other I stayed in room 251 and left soiled pillow in top of bed for linen to be changed when house keeping came in but of course that didn't happen so 2nd day I threw nasty pillow on floor but still house keeping just made bed with same dirty pillow case and pillow from floor. Worst experience eve, we will not ever be staying her on our future visits to transplant center at shands and I will be reporting fire hazard to local fire chief. After all this and spending more than 500$ between both rooms the only thing we were offered for all the disgusting things we endured was another dirty room

Motel 6 bed bugs

Hello - I and a friends stayed at the motel 6 in Portland Or on tue 5/15 at address 518 NE Holliday St Portland OR. We specifically stayed in room 212. In the middle of the night my friend woke up and found bed bugs crawling all over her bed. I have pictures to prove this.

We called the front desk - the gentleman came up with bug spray. And offered us a different room. We declined. And i will say we did receive a refund - but this isnt ok and this room needs to be properly cleaned and feel it's important to alert others to this fact. I'm in the process of also informing the Oregon Department of Health.

Motel 6 bug infestation

We arrived and was told that there was 3 rooms left and was assigned 2nd floor rooms. We went in and dropped of luggage and left to get dinner. Returned at 945pm. When we pulled back the covers, we found some dead bugs on the bedding. When we pulled the rest of the sheets back from around the buttom edge we found serveral dead and love bugs. We check other rooms to find they all had bugs live and dead. As well we found stains and what looked like blue spray substance in the sheets. We went to complain and found that the office was closed. I banged on the door until the office manager came out. He took pictures himself. He offered other rooms. We check the other rooms and found more bugs and hair on the sheets.
We promptly left and went to other hotel. We called owner who sent me to property manager, call property manager and he said to call owner. Went back and fourth for 1 week woth no results. Do not stay at any motel 6. when I called motel 6 corporate line, they stated it is independently owned and operated. Nobody wants to take responsibility or even fix the issue.

Motel 6 office staff

Motel 6 on orange drive in vacaville. Desk clerk candace tried to charge me for a 2nd adult after being at tht hotel off n on for a mnth. Completely alone other then my two kids off and on. My ex husband had stayed during days to check on me after I was almost murdered two days before. He only stayed during visitor hours and she tried to tell at me when I questioned why I would be charged for a guest during visitor hours from 8-8. She was flat out rude and basically trying to be on some weird power trip because she's obviously insecure over her weight and appearance. They were literally rooms full of people all around me but to only notice my a husband was visiting all day. Very bizarre and unproffesional.

Motel 6 the room

I recently stay at a Motel 6 in Virginia Beach Virginia. First off the 1st room they gave us nothing worked in the room. The lamps didn't work the light in the bathroom and also it smelled like dirty mop water and bleach in the room. Second room was no better all though the lights did work it was shavings all in the bathroom on the sink. You had to force the door closed and also it too smelled like dirty mop water and bleach to the point it gave me a headache. The rooms were nasty for the amount of money that I paid for the room. I will never ever stay in another Motel 6 the worst experience ever!

Motel 6 motel 6 on embarcadero in oakland

Reservations canceled even though confirmed by a cc. Waited over 1 hour before being able to fix issue. Next day upon getting a wifi code, found out that my reservation was only changed to a 1 day booking when I have 2 rooms for 4 days. Issues with clogged toilet and then given a plunger to clog myself. Swimming pool is dirty and needs to be cleaned.

Motel 6 false accusation of theft

Prior to leaving the hotel this afternoon on May 10, 2018 at approximately noon, I borrowed an iron from the front desk. I returned the iron to the desk as I was leaving. at approximately 1:00pm. No one was at the front desk as I was leaving so I sat the iron on the lower front desk because I didn't want to leave it on the top counter. After placing iron on the counter, I proceeded to walk to my vehicle. As I was walking to my vehicle, a male employee came from behind the building and yelled something at me that I could not understand. I turned around for a second because I wasn't sure that he was trying to get my attention. As I proceeded, he yelled something again that I still could not understand. At this time, I concluded that he was speaking to me so I turned around. He aggressively pointed towards the main entrance of the hotel so I started walking back to the entrance. As I was walking back, I asked the person if he was sure that I was the person that he wanted to speak to; he did not reply.

As I was approaching the door of the hotel, a female employee came out of the front door and was looking around. I had no idea what was going on but I continued to the front desk. Once I made it to the front desk, the man aggressively demanded to know what I had taken from the desk. Before I could respond, he advised me that he saw me on their camera. After I had an opportunity to talk, I advised the associates that I was returning the iron that I borrowed earlier and that I placed it in what I thought was the most secure location at the time. After I explained what happened, the woman immediately said that everything was okay and the man began to nervously laugh.

What I didn't understand was if I was seen on camera placing the item on the counter, why was I immediately accused of theft? As a guest of this hotel, I was extremely offended, humiliated and very disappointed with how I was treated. I had no idea when a person would be returning to the desk but I thought it was a better idea for me to place the iron at the front desk where it could be retrieved by the staff as oppose to returning it to my room.

This is my first time staying at a Motel 6 so I am not familiar with the accommodations. If I were at another hotel, an Iron would have already been in the room and perhaps this very unfortunate event could have been avoided. I had no idea that simply returning an item to the front desk in front of a camera would have subjected me to this type of treatment.

Motel 6 woke up with pink eye

Woke up with pink eye after staying at motel 6 last night. Currently at the ER with my eye swollen shut and leaking pus and in a lot of pain. The room was a little dusty and not as clean as expected and the pillow cases had stains on them. I've never had pink eye before. I'd like a refund or a complementary night or 2 because I am homeless and I shouldn't be out in the cold air with my eye like this.
