I went to store #4518 to purchase tires for a 2006 Pontiac GTO. I asked for stock sizes in Nitto 555 brand and model. Your rep made the commit about going wider in the rear, my reply was no I have issues with rubbing with the old tires and only want stock sizes to there will be no issues. The representatives name was Chris. He in formed me they would have to be ordered and since I was purchasing only rubber no mount or balance I would have to pay cash. I did ask her requested, got cash and purchased the tires. Once they were picked up and installed on the car it was found that they were too tall. I was sold a 235/50 18. Upon figuring this out I call the store to see why I was sold a non stock tire size when that is exactly what I asked for. Chris proceeded to tell me I asked for that size tire and that the company policy is no refunds or exchanges on only tire purchases. I asked him to look up what the stock tire size is for a 2006 Pontiac GTO where I was then put on hold for 5 minutes. Once Chris returned to the phone he confirmed a tire size of 235/40 18 is what is shown in the computer for that vehicle. He reconfirmed that he can not do anything about it. I asked for his store number so there would be no mix ups with this complaint.
Claimed loss: None that I wish to disclose at this time.
Desired outcome: I would like the correct size tires be exchanged to the incorrect tire size sold.
