tires
I bought tires a year ago and already was due for new tires just 9 months after. I went to the El dorado location in mckinney tx where I bought the original tires and asked about the warranty. I was still under warranty from my previous tires so Todd quoted me $395 for new tires. I told him I wasn't buying them that day- I would have to wait a month or so because I wasn't prepared to buy new tires just a year later and was going to have to budget. I left the store feeling berated- He made me feel very dumb because I had a lot of questions. Note- I didn't get a print out of the quote. I called later that day and asked if I came back in about 4-6 weeks if he would honor the quote and he said yes. I came back 8 weeks later (I wasn't able to afford new tires until this time). He said he had no recollection of giving me a quote and since I didn't have the paper he wasn't honoring it. I asked him to look up my warranty from the last tires because I should have still been covered and he did not. He ended up quoting me $600 (what I paid the year prior for new tires) which included the oil change I needed and service charge. I was under a lot of stress and just wanted to get the tires done and since I approved for the credit card I took the deal knowing he completely played me. I don't feel he is honest and cares about customers. I felt like I couldn't ask questions. I am very frustrated that my brand new tires were completely shredded only a year later. I paid $600 for very low quality tires.
tire change
Stopped in to get a tire changed at 2 o'clock it's currently 330 the guy went to lunch in the middle of fixing my tire didn't tell anyone so someone else is just stepped in to replace the tire hand but the time we get done what we will have been here two hours. The manager of the guy that checks everybody and came out to look at my tire and lit up a cigarette. That is not professional
damage to my car rims and service
I purchased tires on July 20 of this year. The manager stated that they dont like working on big rims but they will do it. I did not notice the damage until next morning since i picked up car as they closed. After they were installed with installation package the very next day my tire sensor light came on. I informed manager the damage to my rims caused by machine that clamps rims. The rims are chrome and they were marks on two of the rims.. I was then told I needed new sensors and he would not charge in leu of the damage..I am looking at my invoice and Tpms sensor kit was charged. I feel that the sensors were covered because when i brought the car in for new tires the sensors were functioning properly. Now when it rains i see rust spot forming where the marks were made. The manager stated that my rims had damage and he took pictures. I said it had minor scrapes on corners not on the inner chrome of the wheels. I feel i have no recourse because of him replacing sensors that i believe were covered.I am very disappointed because i was referred by a friend..
replacement tire
I purchased a set of Michelin Latitude touring tires in April.Purchased the road hazard package. While traveling last week I experienced a road hazard around Indianapolis, called around to 3 locations, closest one was in Nashville Tennessee, they had tire there it was a michelln, but it was not the same as the ones I purchased, so it was replaced and I paid over 40 dollars for road hazard. So I called the NTB location in Shorewood, Illinois were I originally purchased the set of tires and was told that they would have the tire I needed with the rim protector on Tuesday when I got back in town. So after about a half hour run around the manager finally figured out that this replacement tire was different from the other 3.So the tire was replaced, but I had to pay for another road hazard package 2 one in three day period. Long story short, why did I have to pay back to back road hazard charges. It was not my fault the Nashville location didn't have the exact tire. I am very dissatisfied with this whole situation.
service
On Saturday, July 28th, my vehicle broke down. The problem was the battery light came on and then I knew it was gonna be the altenator and was probably going to have to be towed. The closest shop was the NTB in Monroeville, Pa.. I had called there to make sure I could get serviced. In spoke to a young kid named Tyler. When I arrived I gave my name and phone and told them I was going to grab a bite to eat.I came back about an HR later Round 530 or so...The car was still in the lot.i went inside and Tyler said it was being brought in.no more than 2 minutes later the service man came and told what was wrong.it would be the battery, altenator, and belt. Now I was sitting in the customer chair section and watched another young employee make 2 or 3 phone calls to various parts stores and told them he would get back to them and let them know. Now my issue is they told me there was no Pat's store that had it and would have to be delivered from Ohio on Sunday the 29th.priced just under $400.now I worked in garages for years when I was young and I know if one store doesn't have it they could have one sent from another of the same store.now that being said the list of the parts store the kid showed me was long and he said he called everyone.this is down right pathetic to tell me he did when I know plain as day he didn't.There is a pepboys down the road with many around the area that are close by.i had called a pepboys in the area who told me they had the part.i had also called the Monroeville pepboys and they could get one in a few hrs delivered..When I had told Tyler about pepboys he looked like a deer in headlights and got nervous.now this is totally unprofessional and a load of b.s..It is now Sunday at 4:45pm and the store closes at 6.i live 35 miles down the road.if I wasn't given a line of crap they could have got the part from pepboys and been done by now. That being said I am going to have to find a way to go to Enterprise to rent a damn car because of lack lustered employees who don't do their job correctly..I am extremely pissed off and will give a bad reiew not only on the Monroeville location but the whole company as well on Yelp, and other social media.ownership should really give training lessons to their employees and weed out the ones who can't do their job correctly.
Have a nice day!
hammond, la customer service/dm call back
My name is Perry Catchings and I filed a complaint with customer service last Friday and requested a call back from the District manager of the Hammond, La area. I was told on Friday 7/20 that I would receive a call back 7/23 and that never happened. Is it possible that the service men/women at this location because there ar no reprcussions from the DM? This was horrible service and even less professionalism from the customer service follow-up.

air conditioning repair
I had my girlfriend take her car to NTB in Kernersville N.C. to have her a/c looked at. Your mechanics tire it apart and stated that her ac was shot and needed the following:
Condenser (repair and replace all) 178.18$
Ac condenser $205.45
Fan motor $16.87
Evacuate and recharge system $160.00
Not I'm not sure if they observed a "dumb" woman walk in or are just trying to cheat people. I got a second opinion who said she needed none of this $561.00 fix
We took to another mechanic and the ac needed a 9.89$ relay and it's fixed!
I am absolutely disgusted and will not be back and intend on spreading the word!
my cooper gls touring tires
Dear NTB, I am writing in the hopes of finding a remedy to an ongoing and extremely frustrating situation. I purchased brand new tires at your Nashua NH store on 6/17/17 for $656.78. My mileage was74, 233, I am now at 86, 125. They are 60, 000 tires. Since that purchase I have returned to several of your stores to correct the same problem over and over; at least two of my tires WILL NOT maintain proper tire pressure. I have returned almost 10 times. Although the employees have been friendly and tried thier best, this problem remains still. I must go into the gas station every other week to add air. I work full time and have a family, adding air to my NEW tires constantly is wearing my patience very thin. They have sealed and resealed the tires several times. This has not worked. I have spoken with several mechanics and they all agree that NTB seriously lacked in the preparation process by not prepping the rims before the new tires were put on ( I personally think the tires are simply lemons and no good). Regardless, I am appealing to your company to stand behind what you sell and either replace the tires or prep the rims thoroughly THIS TIME in order that they maintain thier proper pressure for the LIFE OF THE TIRE! Mind you, this has been going on for months! Please do the right thing, stand behind your products and solve this matter as soon a s possible.

Took my car to NTB in Danvers MA for a simple thermostat replacement. I have replaced thermostats many times myself but had no time to do so because I work 2 jobs. My own mechanic was busy at the time and I needed to get to and from work. I work near this NTB so I dropped my car off for an estimate on doing it while I was at work. Josh, (Service Manager?), called me and told me it would be $440.00. WTF? Told me they would have to remove the "engine cover" to get to it and it would take about 2 Hours at $122.00/hr to do the job. Guess what? The only "engine cover" on my car is the hood! You open it and the thermostat is RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! Called my own mechanic who said that was ridiculous. He would squeeze me in. When I picked up my car NTB charged me $61.00 for an "Engine Diagnostic" and $6.10 for a shop fee. Total cost $67.10 for not doing anything to the car. Got no readout or results of their "Engine Diagnostics"! Guess this is the "hidden charge" (and ripoff excuse) of the times! End result after having my own mechanic replace it? $147.83! $21.49 in parts and 1 hour labor! The car now runs great again! Called Store Manager Marco Pellegrini to inform him of the results and my displeasure with his store and my experience. Very arrogant and disconcerned! Didn't offer printed results of the "Engine Diagnostics" which I paid for nor to reimburse me for the charge! DO NOT do business with this company no matter what state you live in. They are out to RIP YOU OFF! Seems to be part of the "Company Training Package" for management!
oil change
I scheduled an appointment at the ntb at 1800 roosevelt rd in Lombard. Illinois for 8:30am. They took my car in for the oil change and shortly afterwards the mechanic came out and said that he needs to show me something in the back. So I went to see what he wanted to show me. Be said my transmission is leaking and they can't do my oil change until they repair the transmission leak. I called my mechanic and told him that they are refusing to do the oil change until I agree to have them repair the transmission first. He said they can't do that it's illegal and I told the mechanic that and the [censored] told me to leave. My mechanic said that's the best solution this company is blood sucking vampires and will screw you the first chance they get. I took my car to valvoline and they changed the oil and told me yes I had a small leak but they topped it off with transmission fluid. I will never go to any NTB again...
refuse to rotate tires for paid in advance service
I went to NTB on July 11, 2018
6755 Highway 6 south
Houston, TX 77083.
and talked with David Bishop Service manager about Rotating Tires ( Paid in advance at the time of purchasing set of tires including Road Hazard warranty)... first he told me that, it will take long time, and I told him OK I will wait. But he did not wanted to rotate my tires, he looked at my tires and gave me million excuses, not to change the tires. Very poor customer service
I went to another NTB store they did rotate my tire but I had to wait 3 hours.
Next time should I buy Tires or Extended warranty from NTB ?
NTB SHOULD REFUND ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY .

terrible service at ntb bloomingdale, illinois
Back on May 25th, 2018 I went in for an oil change and to have a squeaking noise coming from the year looked into. NTB told me I needed new rear struts. I had NTB replace them. The called me to say the took off and put back on the new struts 3 times and my car was still making the same noise so now they had to keep the car overnight and told me I needed a new control arm. They replaced control arm and released the car to me. My car now was making an even more loud squeaking grinding noise. Brought the car back and they said it needed new bearings. Had the bearings replaced. Picked up car and 2 days later the noise was back. Brought car back a 3rd time and now they said the rear brakes needed to be cleaned and tightened. They did this. Picked up car and again in a couple days the noise was back. At this poo t I filed a complaint with NTB. NTM mgr. called me and asked me to bring the car back now a 4th time and said it was the rear brakes. They replaced the rear brakes. Pick the car up and a few days later the squeaking noise is back. So fed up at this point I brought my car to the Jeep dealer and the Jeep dealer stated the rear right strut that NTB put on my car has no pressure and is not working at all. Jeep
Stated NTB installed the part wrong. Jeep dealer told me to go back to NTB to tell them. So now I have to go back to NTB a 5th time because after6 weeks now my car still isn't right and obviously the mechanics have no idea what they are doing. I have had to take off of work numerous days now trying to get my car fixed to where it is safe to drive. I want the corporate office to call me as this experience has been so frustrating and aggravating!
ac service
Went into The Greenville, Texas NTB store on June 22, 2018. They told me I needed a new A/C kit ina 20011 Nissan Sentra. Had the A/C kit installed as well as an allgnment and front struts put on car, which they recommended. Two days later, the A/C is still not working, so took it back. They seemed to have forgotten to replace the valve, and the also said the cabin filter was clogged. They replaced the valve, and I put in the new cabin filter in. Now, three weeks later, it goes out again. Took it back into the shop, and they say said the compressor needs to get replaced again, that they probably put a "bad" one in there. So now we are without a/c, and my wife needs it because that is how she makes a living, by driving. They told her to take it back in tomorrow, and they would put a new one in. They ordered a new one, and said they would put it in tomorrow, if we brought the car in, it would be ready in about 3 hours. we shall see.
new tires
Galveston store put new tires on my truck without balancing them. Reason: They could not get the center caps off and just put the tires on. When i took it back for the vibration they admitted they had not balanced them because of the center caps. I told them to break the plastic caps off and balance the tires. They could`nt. Reason: No socket to fit my lugs. I took it to league city and they balanced them. I have overlooked all the little things that have happened over the last 5 years such as did`nt tighten the lugs, oil low after changing it, Battery cover missing, Engine cover bolts missing, but this was the last straw as tires are not cheap. Oil change and tire rotation is a good deal but after this with the tires i may change service companies.
treatment at facility, poor customer service
On July 6, 2018, I purchased four new tires at the NTB store at 2819 N. Central Avenue in Chicago. I had picked up a large screw in one of my tires and I knew that I was due for new tires. The sales associates at this location were very nice and efficient. When I purchased the tires I also bought the full warranty package and alignment package in case I would have a problem with a tire in the future. I was told that I could go to any NTB facility. They took my car right away, assessed what I needed and then told me the time it would take to get the entire job done. There were people ahead of me and that I would need to wait my turn. I was fine with that. I was out in two and a half hours with new tires, an alignment, and good service.
The incident occurred on July 9, 2018 at the NTB store in Countryside, Illinois. The sales associate that I dealt with is Mr. Patrick Dunn. On July 9, 2018, I had to go to the south suburbs for therapy. When I left I noticed that my tire light had gone on. I did not see a problem with any of the tires but was unsure since new tires were just put on just three days ago. I went to the nearest NTB to have it checked out. I explained how I had just bought the new tires and that the tire sensor went on. I asked if he could please check and see what the problem was. He asked me if I bought the tires from that store. He told me he had a truck unloading tires and that there were people ahead of me. It would be at least two or three hours before he could even look at it. He suggested I go to the NTB where I purchased the tires. I told him I understood if there was a problem and they would need to work on it that I would need to wait but asked if he could just look at it to see if they forgot to reset the sensor or if it is just something simple that needed to be done. I had to go on the tollway to get home and did not want to worry about having a flat or blowing out a tire. He told me that they would look at it if I wanted but it would be at least two to three hours before they would even look at it. He once again suggested I go back to the NTB store where I purchased the tires. He refused to even take a look at my car.
I did leave and go to the NTB store where I purchased the tires. When I explained to them why I was there the sales associate took a look at my car right away and stated that one of the tires was one pound heavier than the other three and that was why the sensor went off. He took the extra pound out of the tire, reset the sensor, apologized for the treatment I received at the NTB in Countryside and said if you have any further problems please come and see us and we will take care of it. This whole process took five minutes.
My question is why couldn't the sales associate at the NTB in Countryside have done that? If I have a problem do I have to go to the store I bought the tires at to be serviced properly? I have never bought tires from NTB before but due to the fact that I picked up this screw and they were right there that is why I went with them. In the past I have bought good year or discount tires. If I have had a problem all the facilities had good customer service. I have never been told that it will be two to three hours before they will even take a look at my car. I told the sales associate that I was going to file a complaint about his customer service and attitude and he told me you go ahead and do that. He was very rude and gave very poor customer service.
nashua nh ntb
Today I brought my car in for 1230pm appointment my car got brought in after 2pm and it didn't get done until after 5pm. There was not a constant person staying at the desk helping people. There was a tech that came out from shop he said that he couldn't help anyone that they would have to talk to another person. I felt that they were really rude. I thought when you had an appointment that it would be the time you put that they had open. Didn't even get apology for the person that rang me out saying that it took so long. Very bad customer service on there end.
service
national tire and battery 1324 auburn Georgia 30019 Invoice number [protected]. Arrived / checked in at 11:48am Check out at 2:29pm. They took approximately 30 mins to pull the car the bay area. I was able to view the mechanics through the provided windows in the customer service area. They looked properly staffed and only had 3 other cars in the work bays. The staff ordered in lunch so it could have taken them 1 hour to pull my into the bay. one of the staff came into the lounge and turned on the T.V. for me to watch. They knew i was waiting and did not leave the property. i even went out side to handle a personal phone call. so once they got to my car it took from 1 hour and 40 mins to 2 hours to change my oil. they did not communicate with me . this was my only day off and you were open on july 4th. i have personal spent a lot of money with your company in the past for tires and other mechanical service. i will not use your company again and share my experience with out people. Thanks for wasting my time
air conditioning / undisclosed cost
Bought my car in for an Oil Change and FREE a/c diagnositics when I picked my car up I had to pay a 150.00 labor and diagnostic fee that NO one told me I was going to have to pay until I got there. No way I would of agreed to that! It's only $60 at pep boys. I asked how come no one called to tell me anything about the charge and I was told the free diagnostic is limited to what it picks up. Which I was ok with but how can you not at least give a courtesy call stating that a 150 charge would be added! What if I didn't have the money to pay at that time then what would of happen?
time of hours
Hey,
I went to NTB at 5:15 and no cars was waiting or inside the shop. The door outside and online reads it close at 7:00. I asked the gentleman could i get an oil change since it was no wait, he stated that they are actually leaving and that the district manager is aware that they are leaving early. I have always use NTB for my services. The man didn't even try to pull me up to even try to schedule an appt for availability, if they are now closing whenever they chose. Please change you guys time to whenever if that is what's going to be happening. Many people use NTB and thought it was a good company. Thanks for understanding
breaks
I have returned 3 times in a week for them to fix my breaks. I paid over $300 to have them fixed the first time. I'm not one to complain but 3 times in one week just for breaks?
Third day i'm up there i'm given attitude because they are tired of seeing me up there complaining about how my breaks still aren't working. It's not my fault, I paid to much for this many mistakes.
brake service and attempt to avoid warranty
On 5/9/18 my wife and son took his 2003 Mazda Proteges to Store #8877 on Milwaukee St. in Beloit Wisconsin for brake work due to the passenger side brakes "feeling weird". They paid $675.04 for rear rotors pads and calipers. He returned on 6/20/18 because they again "felt weird" and the left rear smelled hot after a longer than to work trip. When the left rear wheel was pulled the Associate came out and asked if "he drove weird or something" because rotor looked like it was run for a year. How he could drive dragging the left brake w/o the right on vehicle w/o adjustable brake bias is beyond me. Since it was "going to be a while" my wife and son left to run other errands and were called back a short time later because "they could not cover the damage under warrantee because someone had maliciously put wax on the brake. Did have an angry ex-girlfriend or something?" They went back and got pictures of the "damage" and sent to me at work (I am a Mechanical Engineer) and in 10 seconds (for me and also another Engineer who I asked what it looked like) it was obvious a small green plastic piece above the brake hose fitting melted and fell on it. After another 2 minutes on youtube it was obvious it was the green seal cap to protect the socket of the top pin. This really got me angry, because it was so obvious they knew were it came from, but tried to sucker them into paying for the damages (woman and kid = suckers?).
After confronting them with the youtube video and having them remove the other side tire to reveal the same cap they relented and agreed to re-do the brake job. Then it was the brake line that must be restricting the return of the fluid and causing the dragging, but they wouldn't be able to get it off due to rusted bolt (really? a mechanic that doesn't have an EZ-Out tool?). They replaced a brake line for $96.88 along with brake job the next morning. (I would like to understand the change in description of the some Article numbers on the second Bill.) The brake line, while possible, seems a stretch and it sounds more like the emergency brake was not reset properly and caused dragging on the one side so we requested that they verify the emergency brake on the second try. My wife specifically asked several times to have it shown on the Bill and it wasn't so the Associate wrote it in pen so my wife made her sign it to make it official.
First, what brake mechanic doesn't check his work and lets a car leave with a dragging brake? My son thought it felt weird, but was probably just the change due to the brake repair, until he smelled it getting hot.
Also, I understand mistakes can happen, but the responses of the Associate to try to get my wife and son to pay for what was obvious faulty workmanship on your part is utterly disgusting. I, nor any of my family, will ever set foot in another NTB store for anything (other than a return to get these brakes replaced for any reoccurrence if needed - but if this is required could anyone recommend a better store in the area?).
