rude employer
Every morning im traveling eastbound on the 34 south street. This morning as usual the bus driver directly under the under pass at penn station to let passengers off and on, today myself and another was standing at the traffic light at penn station. The bus driver stated that we needed to walk to the beginning of the under pass instead of at the traffic light! Mind you the beginning of the underpass is not a bus stop, he told me if we dont walk down he will refuse to pick us up and will continue to pass us by every morning!
705 bus
The bus never shows when I try to take it. Almost every 1:15pm bus never shows. The 9:45pm bus knows it's the LAST BUS before a lot of people are stranded: yet, it picks and chooses which day to come. Even worse is when both the 7:45pm and the 8:45pm bus don't show up and you sit there for hours hoping and praying that at least the last bus may show. When I used to call to complain, employees would say "oh it should be coming any minute now" (it doesn't), "oh I don't know why it hasn't shown up yet" (how when all buses and employees have radios), or my personal favorite (especially for the last bus), "oh it's not going to come, find another way to get home." Who has money for uber almost everyday... This is irresponsibility. To get ahead I recorded the phone numbers of bus drivers to know if they were coming. However, the 705 only remains stable enough until the current bus driver is transferred to another route. This happens 100% of the time that any good reliable driver for this bus is changed. I want to know what they have planned when September starts and the 705 becomes the ONLY bus to directly go from Passaic to Montclair university. Many students I can already imagine will be either stranded or forced to pay more money to go home due to negligence and false scheduling (as in saying there is a 9:45pm bus yet never showing).
very rude bus driver
I was on the 165 t bus going back to nj, I was able to catch the bus abt 2 mins before it left so as I got on, I asked the driver if still had seats, he ignored me! I thought maybe he didn't hear me. I repeated it 2x, and got the same reaction! He just stared at me! Is it hard to answer yes or no? Once I got seated, the lady next to me said, "that driver is rude! He does that to everyone!?" why does njt employ drivers like this? I got so upset & took a picture of him. You should fire this a-hole driver! I will provide pics of him if you need it. Today, I am on the same bus 165t & he is the driver again & he is acting rude again! Pls do something!
issues with machine and conductor
I was on the south bound train today that left Rahway station at 7:50 AM. The machine took my 5 dollar bill and did not give me a ticket or my money back. I got on the train and was notifying the head conductor of the issue that occurred. I notified the conductor that I am running late for work and did not have any more money on me. He was very disrespectful and told me that I had to get off the train. He kicked me off at the next stop (metropark) and I was late for work. He thought I was lying because he kept stating that "if machine don't work why does everyone else that got on the train have no issues". I am a nurse that works at Rutgers New Brunswick who use NJ transit as my primary source of transportation but this is the second time I had an issue with this corporation within a 30 day period. I will no longer be using the train due to this issue. I will also be following up with assistance from a professional to get a solution with both claims I have with nj transit. The machine was located in front of the elevator in Rahway South bound and a camera was located near so u can see when I attempted to purchase a ticket around 7:45 AM.
bus driver
The bus driver was very rude to my friend and I... He was screaming that we had to pay for our children $1.25 each which I don't understand why if we caught the 600 bus at perry st and we stop at Quaker bridge mall. We got in the bus at 7:19 am on perry st trenton NJ... So I hope you do something about because it sounded like he was races... the bus is 5568, 600 bus my email is [protected]@gmail.com
last 780 bus to hackensack terminal.
I was standing at bus stop 11573. First of all the 10:25 bus never showed. To ad insult to injury. THE last bus to Hackensack (11:25), just drove right past me. Arms flailing! The bus driver was texting on her phone(not the first time). So now I'm even more late to work. The inconsistencies of the last 2 buses on this 780 route are appalling. With this happening at least once every 2 weeks.
newark light rail
The conductor on the light rail on today 8/24/17 (last stop Branch Brook arrived at 4:59) is so rude and obnoxious! The train number is 106B (extended cars). When it arrives into the station, he loudly announces very rudely " This is the last stop, everybody off the train - EVERYBODY! EVERYBODY OFF THE TRAIN. This isn't even necessary because the tape message announcing stations is working and just made the announcement. This isn't the first time he's done it. I've been on his train at least 5 times and he does it every time. Today other riders were complaining and said why don't you report it. Today I decided to. I'm not trying to get him to lose his job or cause him to be sanction, just get him to be quiet. He doesn't even have to say anything - let the announcement play.
very irresponsible employees.
I wish someone of a higher position could really monitor the bus number one, that be in Ivy Hill Loop at night time. They really need to be monitored because they are extremely late all the time. It makes no sense for them to be 30 minutes to an hour late just getting to Penn Station it's ridiculous. They have no regards they don't care, I don't understand it's like everyday there late 30 minutes to 45 minutes late everyday, especially at night time because it's no bosses or no supervisors around, so they don't care what time they get to their destination. ' Then have the ordasity to try and let you have it' because you asked why were they late ? and they curse you out or start arguing with you because you asked them wasn't they supposed to be there at a certain time ? and they immediately argue with you. Can someone pretty pretty please have a meeting with these Transit employees. It's not about rushing and getting into a accident. But don't use that to your advantage and be 30 and 40 minutes or even an hour late. You don't have to rush, but don't be an hour late or an half an hour late because people are already waiting a long time for the bus, and on top of that an extra 30 or 40 minutes late so it's really ridiculous, and it's like that with the number one bus route all the time and especially at night time becsuse they don't care at all and nobody is watching them. Keep in mind that these are grown men and women who don't care about their job performance at all.
The number 1 bus line is unbelievable! They are [censor] nuts! Especially at night time. They're always late getting to newark pennstation and they're just coming from ivy hill loop. Bus number 6362 drove by me and other passengers at 8:58 pm she's a "sicko" she was driving the chapel at bus going to the ironbound section. She be cutting down raymond blvd too especially at night time. Somebody please! Stop this sicko! She shouldn't be a bus driver.
main/bergen-port jervis line
For all of last week and now this week the trains leaving out of Port Jervis at 5:52am and leaving Hoboken at 5:15pm have been cancelled, delayed, late, or "merged with the next train" (which to me is a fancy way of saying cancelled). It is becoming very frustrating to be late to work on a daily basis and not have any information as to why the train keeps getting cancelled. I suspect it is the same train used for both the morning trip and the evening trip. If a train breaks down, why don't they have another to replace it with? If a conductor is on vacation, why don't they have someone to replace him with? There really is no excuse that would allow the train each day to be cancelled. There needs to be a better line of communication to clients when trains are cancelled. We don't know the 5:15pm train is cancelled until it is 5:20pm.
Commuting on one train should be the least stressful part of the work day, however NJ Transit has managed to make it the most stressful part of the day for me- for the past week and going on 2 weeks now. What is extremely frustrating is that NJ Transit takes down the cancellation advisory so when I try to tell my boss that I was late because my train was cancelled there is no record of that cancellation anywhere and I look like a liar.
harassing bus driver who verbally assaults paying passengers
On 8/20/2017 employee I.D #543445 driving bus #6391 route number 1 for jesrey city journal square arrived fourty minutes late. She was suppose to be at newark penn at 6:15pm she didnt arrive until 6:50 pm. She is always very late. She sometimes drives the J.C, Exchange place bus and she's always very late too. As I boarded the bus, the bus driver notice that I asked a passenger for their transfer ticket so I can get her employee I.d number to make a complaint. I was very quiet about it, the bus driver started arguing with me because she's unprofessional and doesn't care about her job. She clearly has not intrest in being on time. She pulled the bus over as she seen Newark police officers and told them I was threating her and I got escorted off the bus and I was already late for work because of her. I have witness's who seen exactly what she did to me. Just play the recording on the bus.
bus driver
I just got off work late and I had to run for 2:14pm 62 bus to Newark/Airport and The bus arrived right before I arrived to the bus stop and the driver tried to take off as I approached the bus and I had to wave her down in order for her to stop! She finally stopped and when I showed her my bus card she had a very unprofessional attitude. And I was shocked at her behavior..she told me " what you think I was going to wait for you" I didn't even RESPOND. She went off on me and all I'm trying to do is get home from doing a 17 hour shift. Bus #5592..date 8/19/2017.

bus route 62
The bus servicing the Airport/Elizabeth area on saturday is ALWAYS late. The 7:05am bus is usually 5-15 minutes late. It is the 5652 bus today and it is 07:14 when the bus driver pulled up to gate 3A. This is unacceptable. Please make arrangements for on time departure. Or tell me who i should contact for this matter. A supervisor or manager on duty.
train conductor 6571 number 1620 pascack valley line.
Attention: New Jersey Transit August 17, 2017
I once again make a formal (the fourth) complaint against the train conductor on August 17, 2017, for train car no. 6571 on the 8:21 train (No. 1620) out of Montvale, New Jersey on the Pascack Valley Line. On July 26, 2017, I registered a (third) complaint because this conductor-an obese African-American female with glasses-deliberately keeps the train doors open (in the manual or lock position) during the train ride. Doing so allows the heat and humidity of the outside summer air to permeate the train cars and renders the air conditioning useless. Again, on August 17, 2017, the same conductor again kept the trains doors open during the train ride.
This conductor continually engages in this unjustifiable selfish behavior either to: (i) spite the passengers; (ii) because her girth makes it an ordeal for her to maneuver (she has difficulty keeping her balance) between the train cars; (iii) the conductor is just plain lazy; or (iv) all of the above. I have repeatedly requested that New Jersey Transit remove this conductor from the Pascack Valley Line.
In early July 2017, I complained to New Jersey Transit customer service because this conductor kept the train door open on rides in late June and early July 2017. Customer service immediately responded to my complaint. The New Jersey transit representative advised me that a supervisor had addressed this matter (my complaint) with this conductor and assured me that this absurd defiant conduct would no longer occur. I thanked the customer service representative for the prompt response and swift decisive action.
On July 26, 2017, this conductor left the doors open on train car no. 6571. This conductor did so again on August 17, 2017. The conductor’s actions are deliberate because each time I checked the doors of the first two train cars and they were closed. Thus, the conductor cannot excuse her behavior by saying a train wide door malfunction existed.
As I previously advised multiple times, no logical rationale exists for this conductor’s self-centered, egregious behavior. It is readily evident this conductor either: (i) does not listen; (ii) does not care; and/or (iii) because of union rules and job security protections has no fear of her supervisor’s directives to no longer engage in the objectionable conduct.
Therefore, I once again implore New Jersey Transit to remove this conductor from the Pascack Valley Line forthwith. I cannot understand why New Jersey Transit is powerless to take corrective action against this conductor. Is this conductor’s union so strong that she can do whatever she pleases? I cannot reconcile why one conductor possesses so much autonomy and power to wreak havoc on paying passengers while impervious to any repercussions. It just defies common sense.
Thank you,
A now bewildered and angry rider.
buses
Today, August 12, 2017 at aprox. 3:50 PM. I was crossing Palisade Ave and 8th Street when I almost crashed into bus #5888 on route 86P, plates # OYA 2401.
The lady driver did NOT respect the RED LIGHT almost causing an accident.
This should just NOT happen...
I followed the bus for a couple of blocks and at NY. Ave .and 15 ST. I managed to approach the bus when stopped at a red light, tried to talk to the lady driver but she did not open the door and was very nasty, even cursed at me.
Aggressive drivers like this lady should not be driving public service, they are dangerous and unpleasant.
I would not be waisting my time doing this report if I did not know that you appreciate feed back from customers and improve the quality of the service.
I hope this report will be taken into account.
Thank you very much,
Juan Bernal cel.[protected]
Just a few minutes ago I received a call from a private number supposedly from a lawyer asking me to describe the incident. I tried to explain that the bus did not respect the red light and almost crashed me...and he said that "Dolores" the driver of the bus filled a complaint against me for driving erratically and that I was eating tacos and crossed the red light. How could a driver at 25 miles per hour, crossing a red light see that I am eating Tacos? This is a joke!
All this is false, she was the one that crossed the red light. The supposedly lawyer started making discriminatory and racist remarks saying that I was probably having a piñata in my car and that I should go back to Mexico ( by the way I am not from Mexico) and that I was banned from the NJ transit busses for life and that he was the lawyer, jury and judge in this case and that they were going to sue me. he told me to shut up at least five times.
It is amazing that because I was trying to be useful to the system reporting a driver that brakes the law and should not be driving public transportation, a danger to every one, and now I am the bad guy, and am going to be sued!
bus driver
Route 83 toward Hackensack bus #5888 departed from 8th st and summit ave at 10:30am. The driver is very rude and nasty with her attitude to an elderly man rider who was simply trying to tell her to lower the air because it's cold. Because of the language barrier they have she gave him a nasty look and told him he can get off. She also is inconsiderate to those with disabilities not lowering the steps for them to make it easier to come in and out the bus.
bus driver nj transit
11pm 123 bus driver, is rude and not helpful.
This is not the first time but 4th time the driver has been unprofessional. Last two times he ignored my request for a stop after 18th st and let me off at 13th st. I have a bad back and recovering from foot surgery. I have to walk further bc he doesn't want to miss the light. Tonight there was plenty of standing room on the bus, not at all packed and I was shocked that he did not allow the last 3 of us on the bus. Just said nope next bus. I take this bus every night past 5 yrs between 9-12. I know when it's Full and it was not. He needs to be moved to a less stressful time slot if he can't cope with people. Not good.
went past my stop after I pressed the stop requested button
Route 182 Bus # 5439 departs at 10:25AM from GWB bus terminal August 3rd. I take this bus almost every day and get off at Frank W Burr Blvd and Glenwood Ave. This day the female driver went right by my stop. I did press the stop button and saw stop requested register on the LED display but the driver never stopped. When I yelled you passed my stop she yelled back that I didn't press the stop button to which I yelled back "I certainly did" and she said again I didn't at which point I said to let me off right where we were at which she did. This was a first in years of riding that route.
bus driver
I used to travel NJ transist bus no 83 which comes at 7:13 a.m. On north st, summit avenue, jersey city bus stop. I want to complain about driver. I regularly paid by tickets. I paid cash one day and the very next day when I entered the bus and inserting my cash, she was like you pay $3.50 regularly instead of $3.80. And when I said I paid cash yesterday with 5 cents left only because I don't have nickel. She stuck on her things and keep arguing and behaved so rudely with me.This is not the way she can talk to passengers. She used to keep A.C high regularly though I asked to keep it down so many times. She turned it down for 5 mins initially and then back to high. Some regular passengers use sweaters in summer, but it's difficult to sit for more than hour in that much cool temperature.
uncomfortable conditions while on bus.
I take the 559 Lakewood/Atlantic City bus, from Tuckerton to Pleasantville, and back,
6 days/week. Currently, the bus I'm on is 4020 going towards Lakewood. He's got the air conditioning on SIXTY DEGREES! Although passengers enjoy a/c on those hot days, we don't need to be put into a DEEP FREEZE! It's THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE CONDITIONS! Please, can NJ Transit do something to make it where drivers don't have the option to put the air conditioning, let's say, below 65 degrees. There's ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for it to be THAT COLD! Please address this issue, as it's on an EVERY DAY basis. It's just getting ridiculous at this point.
Thank You,
