MESSAGE:
I’ve just received notification of the renewal of my Opodo Prime Subscription – as per below BUT there is no number? Was I assigned one? How come? Nor is the amount of the subscription? Nor are there any web references to contact.
This not at all professional.

The Opodo Prime team
Also, there is not email to write to; you expect a customer to tel your service in the UK?
On your website it says as per below:
1.3. How to Contact us?
You can contact us through our online Help Centre, chat box or by telephone using the Prime Line. You can also manage Prime directly through your Prime Account.
Comment: I can’t find how to send a message to your service using your Help Centre. When I click on the chatbox nothing happens?

I’ve checked my email archive and found an email from your service dated 4 December 2023 – as below:

Prime free trial
Terms and conditions
Your subscription ends on 03-01-2024. On that day, you will be automatically renewed at £ 69.99/year.
Why was I not sent notice that my membership was up for renewal after a 30-day trial period
with me having the choice to continue or not?
If I had been sent prior notice I would have decline continuing as I’m not at all a frequent flyer with any airline.
According to the membership conditions for Prime on your website it states as below:
3.3. Renewal
WE WILL REMIND YOU ABOUT THE RENEWAL OF YOUR PRIME BEFORE THE END OF YOUR PRIME TERM. IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL YOUR PRIME, THE PRIME TERM WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED YOUR PRIME FEE ON RENEWAL.
https://www.opodo.co.uk/prime/terms-and-conditions/
But I did not receive an email with a reminder.
I’m a retired teacher and am not able to afford the very high annual membership.
I do not wish to continue with a Prime membership and I would ask you to cancel my APPARENT membership and confirm this instruction by return of email – signed by a named agent (which the email sent to me today lacks).
IMPORTANT: As I’m emailing you on the date of renewal I expect you to honour my request to cancel my Prime membership.
Thank you for your professional attention.
Yours sincerely, Alec Gordon, PhD / Wed 3 January 2024
Claimed loss: TO END PRIME SUBSCRIPTION ON WEDNESDAY 3 JANUARY BECAUSE i WAS NOT SENT PRIOR NOTICE IF I WISHES TO CONTINUE OR NOT...ON THE WEBSITE OF THE COMPANY IT STATES THAT A CUSTOMER SHOULD RECEIVE SUCH A PRIOR NOTICE
Desired outcome: AGREEMENT THAT MY PRIME MEMBERSHIP IS CANCELLED WITH REIMBURSEMENT OF ANY FEE CHARED TO MY BANK ACCOUNT.
