Planet Fitness Staff at their gym in Kutztown, Pennsylvania

May 4, 2021 I was finishing my cardio when a newer staff asked me to pull my mask over my nose. Please note: my mask was NOT down to my chin. My mask DID still cover my mouth entirely. It was just below my nostril line so I could breathe. I am in my 60's and need better air these days, especially after a fall a month ago and broke my left wrist. Yes, I was wearing my wrist brace post surgery.

Anyway, I got annoyed. There was NO ONE working out in my proximity AND I have been fully vaccinated. So I refused to pull the mask over my nose! Others in the gym were talking in your face close and they weren't being asked to social distance.

The young lady manager asked me to leave the gym. She threw-out an old woman with a broken wrist! Really!

The other PF gym's I go to allow you to drop your mask for cardio. I feel like I was being picked on and don't like it.

Our State allows vaccinated people to gather in large groups, yet at the Kutztown gym I can't even do cardio without masking up over my nose.

Desired outcome: an apology from the staff at Kutztown PF

Planet Fitness Having to pay to cancel my subscription

I changed my subscription because of covid but no one told me I would have to pay to end it when masks are required. I have a medical issue
Among it impossible to workout and breath. This is beyond unfair. Please cancel my subscription without penalty.

Planet Fitness Poor, rude customer service in Astoria Queens NY

I have always wonder why people who are overweight, can be miserable rude people. Is it genetic or because they use junk food as a way of escape from there pathetic selves. This best describe the manager Jennifer Lentini of Planet fitness at Long Island City Queens NY. Why would a fitness gym hire a very obese manager? It just seems to me that a gym would want to have employees fit so that it sends a message of health and wellness. Jennifer Lentini is obese, rude and lacks a good understanding of customer relations. I would go into a deeper explanation of the problem I had with Jennifer, If I believed it would make a difference. There are so many complaints about Planet Fitness that it really wouldn't have any affect. I had called my bank to prevent Planet Fitness from extracting funds from my account. The bank service agent had informed me, that they have had a lot of complaints from other customers about Plant Fitness. If you join Plant Fitness you do so at your own risk.

Planet Fitness Membership

I called the club and informed them i moved to a different City .They told me they can put me on hold until i find a club and transfer . which i didn't get one and then COVID happened. I just realized. have been paying for the last 2 years and my membership wasn't on hold. I called and the lady said she can't help me and told me they don't have call reference, refused to give me names.

Planet Fitness Member safety

Your Kannapolis site staff refuses to enforce the masking requirements. I have reported this several times. Either enforce your rules or remove them. I have had Covid and do not wish to have it again. I do not like wearing a mask, but I follow your rules. I enjoy using your facility, but expect management to do their job regarding member safety.

Desired outcome: I expect an answer and corrections.

Planet Fitness Facility

The Staten Island NY South Ave location is not cleaned. The locker room floors are filthy no hand sanitizer for weeks. The tanning booth area is dirty floors and and actual tanning booth glass have so many stains and dirt. It looks like they clean with a dirty rag. Can't imagine what the booth floor has in terms of germs. Finally I have uploaded pictures of what I look at when using the free weights. The ceiling vents and filters are disgusting.

Planet Fitness Service cancellation

I went in to cancel my membership, they told me I was on hold. That my card was expired. But they kept charging me January, February, and March. I received no phone call, e-mail, or letter saying this. My card was not expired. Not sure what is going on here. Seems like a scam. The credit card being expired was wrong, and the fact that I wasn't notified was wrong. Now they want to send me to collections over this.

Planet Fitness Service

Please send someone to audit Huntington Beach planet fitness. They have not clean guys bathroom for months. The stain around the urinal and the smell are just unbearable. It was not like this under the previous management. Yet, their slogan is be cleansiderate. Share a clean club. So ironic!

Planet Fitness Total Body Enhancement

My location (Athens, GA) will not replace the bulbs. Over 2/3 of them have been out for over 3 months. The tanning bed bulbs are awful. They need to be replaced also. I called the Manager and tell staff members every morning I am there that these things need to be taken care of and replaced. That is why I pay for a Black Card.

No date or orders for new bulbs have even been made.

Planet Fitness Cancellation

Not being able to cancel online or over the phone is ridiculous and unnecessary. Forcing people to go in to cancel in person or write a letter is just a sneaky way to keep people's accounts open longer. You are counting on people being too busy to do cancel your way so you can keep charging them. During the pandemic, it is irresponsible to make people go in. Writing a letter is antiquated and not secure. Anyone could write a letter and say they are me. Any identifiers put into the letter would be an identify theft risk. This is an unethical business practice and should be changed so that your company can join the rest of us in the 21st century.

Desired outcome: The company needs to adopt a more customer friendly cancellation policy.

Planet Fitness No judgement zone membership

Sirs,
I joined PF after my CF box was forced to close in September 2020.
I joined PF NSB and had several friends follow suit.
I go with my notebook of workouts todo and record results of my efforts to continue to train while getting into a new routine.
For almost 6 months now I have my workout routine.
All of my routines include single unders that are incorporated with my workout of the day.
This week, 4/13/21 as I had finished my mile on the elliptical and set up my workout of 5 rounds of Cleans, KB squats and SU.
I got through one round and was on round 2. I saw an attendant walking briskly down the center of the room waiving her arms in the air like someone was hurt. She was coming right at me. I stopped as the entire population of gym members starred at ME!
She said, " you can't jump rope in here!"
I was shocked and embarrassed! I've been doing this for months! She said where? I pointed out all of my locations that I do my workouts and showed her my book. She said not here.
Two people next to me tried to make me feel better by saying that they always see me jump. Even gave me complements that I was awesome especially for a 56 year old.
Sick to my stomach and pissed off by the grace and lack of professionalism. I packed up and left.
I will not be returning to this facility and ask that my membership be canceled as well as refunded to me in full.

Planet Fitness Contract complaint

We both signed a 24 months contract on 2018/06/13 we have been paying r299 + r299 = r598pm since the month that we signed the contract. It has been longer than 24 months we did not renew our membership contract but they keep deducting the money every month. We've gone to see them and they refuse to stop deducting money even though our contract has been expired since 2020/06. The only way they say they will stop deducting the money is if we pay them r2000 to cancel our expired contracts. When we refuse to pay or reverse the money they want to sue us but they did not ask our permission to renew our contract. The day we talked about the contract and went through everything we we're told thad we have an option when the contract ends if we want to renew the contract or stop the contract but we we're never contacted when the contract ended.

Desired outcome: Stop deducting money from our account.

Planet Fitness Employees picking on me

Quick question. I know masks are mandatory. I was on the treadmill with my mask under my nose and an employee came up to me and told me to pull my mask up. I did and I looked around to see how other people were wearing masks. There were a few that had there mask under there mouth but nothing was said to them. This has happened to me twice. I am not happy that this is only being said to me.

I was being harassed for the same thing at the PF in Troy, Michigan. I complained that other people were walking around with their masks under their noses to management a few times. They give you a lecture about wearing the mask over your face completely. Today I complained again about being harassed about my mask slipping under my nose while lifting weights. Try breathing with a soggy mask on while doing that.
I confronted the person, who happened to find to time walk 50 feet over to harass me instead of vacuuming around a machine which she was doing. I showed her two other people who were working out with masks under their noses. On exiting the building, I told the manager about it and he sided with the the employee. Meanwhile another customer was walking in with a mask under his nose. For all my efforts to defend myself, I was banned from the club and told that all other franchises would be alerted to not accept me as a member. I am looking forward to this Franchise going out of business. You can't treat people that way and expect others to stay.

Planet Fitness Scalded in shower stall

I went to planet fitness in Fairfield CT for a workout on March 10, 2021. After I finished my workout I decided to take a shower. I went to the locker room got undressed and entered the shower stall. It was the first stall and had a seat in it. I decided to pull the seat down and relax a bit. I turned on shower it was just warm. When I turned it up higher. It was extremely hot and my back got scalded. I could not get out of the way of the shower head because the seat was down and the shower stall was very small. It took a few seconds more to turn the shower off and I banged my knee very badly on the seat. My back was all red and hot and I sustained first and second degree burns. I went to the front desk and asked for a manager. There wasn't one. 70 people were using the gym and not even a supervisor. I informed the attendant that I was just scalded in the shower. (in a shower head there is an impediment device that only let it go to a certain degree so you don't get scalded. This shower had none. I explained this to the attendant. He said well you're the only person that has complained about it. I said you better get in there and shut it down before somebody really gets burnt. He said ok I will. He then said you can leave your number and the manager will call you tomorrow. I did this. I never heard from the manager the next day or since. As I was leaving the attendant made no effort to do anything about the faulty shower. I went home and spent a sleepless night burnt and in pain. The next morning I got up and went to first an urgent care facility. That was unable to prescribe anything to quell the pain or burn. Then I went to Bridgeport Hospital and was given a prescription and my knee was x-rayed as well. I finally took some pain pills and the prescription cream and was able to rest. The next day I called Planet Fitness Corporate Office and registered a formal complaint against the Fairfield Planet Fitness. I never heard from either the Manager of planet Fitness or Corporate Headquarters again. It has been 20 days since and I have $1500.00 in bills for my 2 visits. I am appalled with the lack of concern and follow-up on a corporate and local level.
