Once my pod was dropped if I spoke to an agent on the phone and explained the pod needed to be picked up within a day or two after it was dropped off because I live in a high-rise building, and it cannot sit in the loading dock for more than a couple of days. She said she would relay this to them driver. I asked if she could give me a timeframe for the pickup and drop off so I could schedule movers, and she said that the driver would contact me before both happened. That didn’t happen, and unfortunately I am unable to contact the driver. So the driver did not contact me and picked my pod up early the next morning (8am) before I was even able to remove my belongings.
I paid $228 for two movers to assist me with emptying the pod that morning and had to cancel - their fee was nonrefundable. Although it wasn’t their fault I had to cancel, the movers gave me a 50% discount to reschedule with them and I will recommend them to all my friends! SADLY, A huge company like pods who should have done the same, refused to take any accountability for their mistakes and miscommunication and refuse to refund the remaining cancellation fee of $105. I will continue to write horrible reviews warning people about this company and my nightmarish experience, and I will also report them to the Better Business Bureau.
