Proton X70 - Waiting forever for Power Tailgate damper part.
I own a Proton X70 which I was delivered to me in October 2020. In January 2022, I sent my X70 for the 30k service at Aiman Motor in Petaling Jaya. During the service, I requested one of the damper arm of my power tail gate to be replaced as arm had completed came dislodged such that I was not able to open or close the power tailgate at all. I was informed by the service center that they need to order the part and would take about 2 weeks. Today is 4th May 2022, after 4 long months, Aiman Motor still is clueless when the part will arrive. For the last 4 months, I was not able to open my tailgate! Why does PROTON need to take so long to replace a simple small part. And as an owner of Proton X70 which cost more than RM100k, I am NOT even able to use the tailgate and this is absolutely ridiculous . How long more do I have to wait, PROTON?
Please advise.

X50 car paint defect (white color) and quality not up to standard
My X50 car is white color and notice there are a lot of black spot on the rear bonnet, beside there is unpainted area that miss out by the factory. With only two months out from registered there are so many problems which as a customer I have to deal with, this is problematic and wasting customer value time to go in and out to the service center. I also installed power tailgate from proton but the fuse blow two time in two weeks and this is really annoying. The consistency of all proton original parts are in big questions mark? Please help to resolve my problem fast.

Gearbox replacement took so long!
Sent my x70 for gearbox replacement (under warranty) since December 2021 but until now (20 April 2022) there was no news about it. Sick of waiting!

My Car Window Glass Replacement
I bought and received my car on October 2021. Given a voucher by your authorised service centre for car windows tinted. When there but the mechanic found defect on the window glass. Immediately bring back to the service center for recheck cause it still under warranty. Hey i just received it for a few day. It was confirm by the mechanics and was asked to wait for replacement. This is when my nightmare begin.
Waiting patiently for a month still no action. Follow up in november 2021 still no action. Follow up in January 2022 just being inform the case had been CONFIRMED AND OPEN. JUST WAIT FOR THE ETA. It is now APRIL 2022.
SIX MONTHS LATER. Still no ETA.
They keep telling me there is nothing they can do. They know nothing. If they dont know what action to take. Who else will. You preach about giving us a world class service but you need more than six months to replace a window glass.
I PAID 100K FOR MY CAR and the after service I received did not match to what i have paid.
Desired outcome: DO NOT LET ME WAIT A YEAR FOR MY CAR WINDOW GLASS TO BE REPLACED. I WOULD REALLY WANT TO TINTED MY CAR PROPERLY.

Wind screen
The wind has zip throught the wind screen while speed up to 150km/hr. The door bar has resonance noise from the wind.
The service center informed they couldnt fix this issue

X50 spare part issue
Met an accident on the 24th December 2021.
Towed the car to Plentong Proton Edar.
Approved claim under insurance within a week, yet no news on my car until today. Its been almost 4 months my car stuck in the service center and I've been given same EXCUSES where spare part is not available to start repair my car.
How long more I should wait? Given the price of the car, paid every month when I can't use the car.
If you don't have the capacity to supply, please do not take in more orders which eventually caused more problems in your after sales services.
Please give a proper solution to this matter ASAP!

oil came out under the car
My oil came out a lot under the car after I refueled at a gas station petronas durian tunggal at 7th april 4:30 pm and was worried it would endanger my life if it lasted
I only used it for a year two months, the air conditioner was also a bit less cold
One more thing , the sign of eco at the meter also gone eventho the car still okay and dont have any damage i hope proton will give me the best and fastest service since i was support the local brand thankyou
Proton Workshop spare part lead time
I have make complaint on 29 Mar regarding my car accident on 29 Jan, until today, Proton appointed workshop Platinum Butterworth still unable to provide the car pick up date, due to still pending proton advise the spare part arrival date.
sorry to say, I'm regret to bought proton car, because i have been wait for my car proton X50 for 6 mths, some of my friend and my brother was wait for nearly a year after launching day. Today, I need to wait for spare part to replace my car accident part which I can't prevent it. Because some one come and knocked my car. today, proton unable to provide spare part arrival date. Don't tell me Proto don't have order lead time and planning?
I really feel regret and sad about. Is proton service so poor? planning so bad? I bought proton car, I already feel very bad experience about proton.
I'm not happy with the respond, I'm here to lodge an official complain to Proton, I really hoping that the matter can be solved soonest possible

Proton X50 spare part shortage
my car Proton X50 was accident on 29 Jan 2022, until today, the workshop proton panel Platinum still unable to provide the date when my car is ready for pick up.
Every week and every day, follow with your workshop panel Platinum, same story given to me. Current still short of spare part from Proton, so unable to know when the spare part arrive, caused unable to provide me the date.

Bad service technician
To file a complain report for reference. Booked service center on 28/3/22 at Labu Seremban,
1) Check rear right check absorber oil leak
2) Check front wheel bearing humming sound.
3) EPS Steering grease leak (previos complain)
After Checking by SA, technician just clean up/ wipe clean absorber and told me no oil leak and bearing its ok.
I also contacted customer service for this issue, and been told to monitor for 1 week.
I feel not safe to drive this car and not even check properly by ur technician.
If there is a major brekadown i will do a Police Report due to your staff faulty to check properly.
I am driving on the road daily, and if bearing jammed overheat and cause fire, who is going to bear the cost. ! This report is for my safety.

Cancellation the booking fee, unable to get back
In Oct.2020, I booking proton X50. Jan'2021, salesman inform that my car will go April'21. Said I can go jpj tender my car no. At jpj. Car no. Was get in Feb.21.
Waiting the car Until May, Jun, until Oct.21 still cant get the car with so many reasons.
Finally in end of Nov.21, I call salesman to cancel my car. Ask to refund the booking fee RM500.
But until today still cant refund back my booking fee. Every week/month ask the salesman the status process of my refund booking fee.
What should i do now!
The proton dealer is located at Setia alam, Wheelcorp Auto Sdn Bhd.

Lastly Nicole ask me refer to marketing manager Ms Samantha Sim.
The reason they give me, i no have booking receipt.

In September 2019, my company purchased 4 Units of X70
In December, 2021, due to malfunction of the Car Booth Hydraulic System, the car wasn't able to fully close, I act rashly to press closed the Back Door and damaged the Hydraulic Arm Cylinder. I am willing to pay for my mistake and called to order a New Hydraulic Arm Cylinder from Proton Pasir Gudang (Next to KFC Masai) for Replacement.
I was told that it will take 1 month for the Delivery of the Damaged Parts. However, todate, when I called for follow up several times, I received same answer, Parts not Delivered yet from I don't know where. When we asked for a date, the respond is..."I don't know, just wait for my call and don't call back"
I am not happy with the respond, I am here to lodge an official complain to Proton, I am hoping that the matter can be solved soonest possible.
SEVEN MONTHS WAITING FOR MY DEFECT WINDOW GLASS TO BE REPLACED

First of all i would like to say i really love my new car very much which i received on October 2021. when i wanted to go and tinted my car windows from the suggested workshop by your authorised service center. the mechanic there found some defect on the glass window. i brought back my new car for your mechanic to double-check and they confirm the defect. but my case was being neglect for several months and only been take seriously on January 2022. After three months. I follow up everyday to know when will they are able to replace the defect window glass.
Now 19 April 2022, after SEVEN MONTHS they still give me answer that there is no ETA from the HQ. For real? It this a joke or a test on my patient. What i really need to know is DO YOU NEED A YEAR TO REPLACE A DEFECT WINDOW GLASS. I thought you pledge to give us your very best service when buying PROTON. I thought that PROTON is a WORLD CLASS COMPETITORS but to my surprise i still waiting for my window replacement.
I PAID RM130K FOR MY CAR but you gave me poor service from the get go. I cant even tinted my car properly. People ask me why i seldom drive my new car. You will not reached 10K mileage in six months.
Well I STILL WAITING FOR SEVEN MONTHS FOR MY DEFECT WINDOW GLASS TO BE REPLACE. WHAT HAPPENED IF I INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT. It will be a nightmare to wait for parts.

Proton X50 Whistle sound
I assume that u have received many complaints on Proton X50 whistle noise while driving above 80km/hour. I would like to know is Proton taking any steps to solve this issue?
I hv received my X50 in Oct last year, from day one I hv been irritated by d whistle noice. I hv taken so many attempts to rectify where is d whistle noise came from but after so many attempts, it still can't be slove.
Checked wt ur Proton servise center and none of them can slove it.
I hope that u can give me some solution for this issue.

Issue - Brake Caliber faulty
Estimated Delivery - Not provided and service centre dont know when they will receive parts.
I sent my car to the service centre to resolve issue but looks like they are unsure when my car can be rectified. They have no idea when they will receive the spare parts and its hopeless. I dont have my car for 11 days and dont know how long will it take. No proper answer by the service and also the customer care hotline as well.

Saya pemilik kenderaan di atas sangat bersyukur kerana setelah hampir 30tahun memandu, ini kali pertama saya memandu kenderaan brand malaysia - proton x70.
Sehingga hari ini, setelah hampir 2 bulan saya mohon insurance claim, saya masih belum mendapat giliran kerana alasan alasan yang tak sesuai. Beri kepada mangsa banjir! Bagi pada priority! Sungguh tidak munasabah.
Saya berurusan long sdn bhd - puncak alam, berkenaan insurance claim. Saya telah buat permohonan sebelum banjir lagi! Sungguh tidak masuk akal.
Perlukah saya kena kan banjir kereta saya itu untuk mendapatkan priority? Where is your kpi?
Hang nak complain pasai kereta ka atau insurans? Kalo insurans, kenalah complen dekat insurans kompeni. Proton bukan jual insurans.
New proton saga 2021 spark plug & starter problem
I have purchase new Proton Saga 2021 on July 2021 and receive the car on 3rd December 2021. In the same week, my car has experienced which in Malay we called "Enjin Semput". Then, on the first 1000km service on 13 December 2021, I make a complaint at service center. They said the spark plug need to be changed. That does not make any sense as brand new car has to change plug on the first service. But, it does not solve the problem completely. After two days, the problem occurred again and I need to leave my car for one whole day for the troubleshooting process. The next day, center call me to inform that my car has been fixed as the problem come from bad wiring. Exactly a month after that case, on 13 January 2021, my car broke down again as it cannot be started and need to be towed to nearest service center. After a few hours of checking, found that the problem come from starter and need to wait for about two weeks for the spare parts. Is it really going to take that long for the parts to arrive? How is it possible that the center does not have any ready-stock parts? Lastly, I hope Proton can improve the quality checking before delivering the product to end-user as it is a waste of time for the user to go to service center repeatedly.

Customer care at proton
Trusting proton brands, my family and I decided to purchase the first model of Proton Persona (new version) in November 2016. After using the car only for 2 weeks, we have to face much troublesome because the drishaft was faulty. Have to send in the car to Shah Alan excellence center in December 2016 for drishaft replacement and I have to leave my car there for almost 10 days. Even if I were to face so many issues with the brand new car, I was not offered with the courtesy car for that 10 days. Since then, till to date I have been servicing my car at authorized Proton Service Center even after the 3 years full warranty of the car has expired. At various occasions when sending in my car for service at service center, I have indicated to the service advisor that the gear when put to drive mode (D) there is a delay in pickup (power) of around 5 seconds before the car starts moving. Since 2019, this symptoms became severe and when I highlighted the issues to proton service center, they tried to make a claim for gear box replacement because the power train (engine and gearbox) warranty is for 5 years. I was denied a warranty claim for the gear box by Proton HQ citing that I sent in my car late for the 20, 000 kilometer service (20, 000 kilometer service is the normal engine oil replacement only) whish has got nothing to do with the gear box. Various emails by the service center to proton HQ for consideration since I as a customer had family grief (father passed away) and I over looked at the 20, 000 kilometer service with not of any intention or purpose, it was only solely due to a family grief losing a loved one at that period of time. All this was put by a letter and sent in to proton HQ via the Proton Service Center but was still denied consideration citing the same reason again and again (i. e not servicing at 20, 000 kilometer).
Please kindly consider for a gearbox replacement ASAP as the symptom of the faultiness is very severe. My other family members are also using Proton and they have very much trust in this brand. Hope I'm not let down for trusting proton. Hope to hear from you with a good consideration by your good self soon. Thank you.
