Rude staff
The illegal looking lady hired by the chain was quite rude. I was ordered by the lady to move immediately to the my left and to the front side even though there was nobody behind me. I had to pay before my sandwich was even ready. She also did not cut the sides of my sandwich. This is such an untrained staff. Now I know why Quiznos do not run as good as Subways.

Quiznos doesn't like credit cards
I went to the Quiznos at Spadina & Richmond in Toronto to order a sandwich. For the 4th time in a row (in the span of a year), they told me they have issues with their credit-card machine thus prefer if I would pay cash or debit card.
We're not dumb. We know you guys don't want to pay the 4% service fee that Visa is charging you. The lie was so flagrant that with a tiny bit if insisting they processed the order which worked perfectly.
b ad buisiness practice
I have a friend whom recently started working at this location. It turns out any credit card tips left for employees is kept bye the owner. I personally have been a blue collar worker my whole life and cannot stand to hear about this sorta thing. It sound illegal to me. As a consumer when I leave a tip I expect it to go to the employe or employees that helped me, not for the owner to line his pockets with. I will no longer be visiting quiznos and will do my best to spread the word about this atrocity.
Rourke C. Harris [protected] please call me and tell me that you are equally disappointed and disgusted bye the greed of you franchise owner.

Just Lost a Customer
I have endured this Quiznos through the inept service, thinking the girl behind the counter was trying. I have endured them running out of soup, cheese, bacon, . even some of the meat for the sandwiches. Tonight, I was running late and in a hurry, I got there a few minutes before closing time. Lights were still on, the doors were still open, the sign in the window was still on, and the clock behind the counter said I still had 5 minutes. The woman behind the counter as I walked rudely snapped “we’re closed, so I am not going to make your sandwich”. Really Quiznos? You just lost yourself a customer!
ILLEGAL SALES TAX CHARGE
I ORDERED A COLD SALAD TO GO AND THE CASHIER ILLEGAL CHARGED ME SALES TAX. I SHOW HIM THE LAW IN DETAIL FROM THE PUBLICATION 22 CALIFRONIA STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND HE REFUSED TO REMOVE THE SALES TAX. THIS WAS ON FEB 22. I WENT IN THERE AGAIN ON AUGUST 16TH AND THE SAME CASHIER SAYS HE WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE SALES TAX ON ALL COLD FOOD AND COLD SANDWICHES. I EXPLAINED THAT SUBWAY DOES NOT EVER CHARGE SALES TAX ON COLD FOOD. HE COULD NOT HAVE CARED LESS. I HAD HIM SIGN MY RECEIPT SO THAT HE INSISTED ON STANDING BEHIND HIS ILLEGAL CHARGE
report there ###! thats illegal !
Although my condo is now owned by someone else, Mr. Leland Watts is still responsible for the property at 270 Tampa Drive, known as the Harding Glen Condominiums. The buck is currently being past back and fourth now, between Mr. Watts and Hal Kearns whom is the president of the Harding Glen Condominium Association (kearnsh@realtracs.com) about whom owns what property etc.
There has been three (3) recent fires in the past year in M-Building and we have been trying to get said building boarded up for the past several months. Now there is further need to board up E-17 which is in our building, to prevent the teenagers from going in and out doing whatever. I and others here are worried about another fire now in our building, and Leland Watts is doing nothing to secure the safety of hundreds of people here at these facilities.
Not to mention the crime, drugs, robbery's and shotings which has been going on here and we can't even get the police to help us fight the drugs.
Sincerely,
another concerned Neighbor

Promotion was a SCAM!
After receiving the Million Subs promotion coupon, I went to four Quiznos locations only to find that not a single one participated in the promotion. Several friends in other states reported similar experiences. This was a scam to drive traffic to the stores but many franchise owners (yes, they can refuse to participate) did not participate. I for one had never eaten a Quiznos sub, usually going to Blimpie, and after this experience, don't intend to spend any of my hard earned money at any Quiznos. Short sighted franchise owners turned a marketing opportunity and a chance to earn a loyal customer into an experience sure to drive customers away and generate lots of negative publicity. Good for them!
http://thefreebieblogger.com/quiznos-million-sub-giveaway/
It seems like a few of the commentors did get their free subs, just not many.
I found this on another site:
"It looks like Quiznos (corporate) is not reimbursing the individually owned stores for this coupon. Since these stores can’t afford to lose what could potentially be thousands of dollars, many will not accept the coupon. I really can’t blame them for that, but I can blame Quiznos corporate. Saying that you are giving away one million free subs will get you a lot of free advertising and I’m sure that is what they wanted. Even with the free advertising, it is worthless when the deal has such a big loophole. I know that many of you are upset so if you would like to complain you can call 866-4-TOASTED."
Verbal Assault and threat of physical harm by Franchise owner
My daughter went to the store and ordered 5 subs. Three of the five were made completely wrong and the other two did not have cheese which the man charged her extra for. When we took the subs back the man who said he was the franchise owner refused to make new subs or give us our money back. He jumped in my face screaming using the "F" word saying "I hate you "F***ing" people, I could kill you "F ing" people! What don't you people understand; these are five dollar subs costing me five million dollars!" His face turned purple and he was clinching his fists, another customer spoke up and said that he should make things right and he said to her "you have your sub now get the "F" out." I had to call the police and file a police report, I am considering filing criminal charges for the threats that he made. I have to file a dispute with my bank and handle things further on Monday. It is my feeling that this behavior should cost him his franchise as I am sure that this can not be company approved behavior, or customer service practices. I will be calling my local news to do a public interest story and I am sure that your company does not share his disdain for customers as we are the life blood of your business. The police report number is [protected] filed in the third uniform division of the Virginia Beach Police. The entire situation was completely ridiculous. We frequent multiple locations of your stores and this experience has left a very bad taste in mouth.
This refers to 4001 Va. Beach Blvd. (Collins Square location) :
My girlfriend and I went to this location for an early lunch one day, when I noticed that they had a new sandwich called the Chicken Milano. I ordered a large size "Milano" and my girlfriend got her usual premium large sub. The following is in reference to my sub, not hers.
(1) He skimped on the sauce, (instead of three lines that their bottle is supposed to dispense, it released two, but he did not take the extra second to make it right) ... no big deal, I thought, it's just a little sauce. I said nothing about it.
(2) Once the sandwich came out of the oven, he asked me if I wanted lettuce, and I said, "yes, the seasonal greens lettuce please" ... so he put the regular iceberg lettuce instead. I was going to say something about this, but i noticed there was no seasonal greens in his veggie section, so, once again, no big deal, I thought, it's just a different kind of lettuce( maybe he should have told me that he didn't have the advertised lettuce, oh well...), besides we're this far along already. (even though there was NO line behind us) ... still, I said nothing about it.
(3) Then he asks if i want tomatoes, and I said, "yes, please"... so he proceeded to grab the two smallest end cuts of tomato and two regular slices. (the tomato bin was full of nothing but good slices after the two nasty green end cuts he put on my sandwich) Now I know this, by itself, is not a big deal, but i started to see a pattern of shortchanging emerging. This time I chose not to ignore it... I asked if he could replace the two small green ends with two regular slices... He did not remove the small ends, but did add two normal size slices. I said "thank you." (even though I asked him to replace them, not simply add two more).
(4) Now, i doubt i would have written all of this, had it not been for the fact that my girlfriend was treating me out on this particular day... so, before we left, when she showed me the receipt and asked me what the 50 cent miscellaneous charge was for... I was CURIOUS... so I asked him what the charge referred to, and he told me it was for the tomatoes! So, I explained that i had asked him to REPLACE the tiny green ends with normal slices, and that i did not simply ask for extra tomatoes, ( I didn't even mention the rush rush attitude that resulted in the skimping of the sauce OR the fact that he doesn't have the advertised lettuce for that sandwich)... and then he switched from his passive aggressive behavior to what has been accurately described in other posts as "short tempered"... (and visibly so). I told him he "could have at least had the courtesy to let us know he was intending on charging us, instead of sneaking it on the bill." I then immediately left the store.
The bill was close to twenty dollars (which was fine with us, we can read prices), and we didn't use coupons. (not that those with coupons should be treated any differently)... yet it felt like he was shortchanging us at every given opportunity, and then, was rude when confronted on just one of the issues. Now, I know times are tough and you do see a lot more owners actively participating, which can be very good ...having said that, THIS OWNER would stay away from the service counter as much as possible if he knew how badly his personality / customer service hurt his business. No more twenty dollar lunches from us, and he gets, yet another bad review. The sandwich was decent, but the service was offensive enough for me not to return and to write all of this. It's a matter of principle, not the 50 cents.
If the person who addressed you in this way was indeed a franchise owner, I'm pretty sure he violated several stipulations in his franchise agreement and will be dealt with accordingly. Quiznos will not allow incidents like this to occur without responding with severe actions. They know the damage this causes their brand ; especially with the prevalent and growing use of social media.

We're sorry that you and your daughter had to experience such horrible service.
I wonder if he was on drugs or drunk, that is crazy.
i've never had a problem at Quiznos maybe you got a bad attitude and should make your own sandwiches at home? Or Dont you know how to make a sandwich?
I can't speak for all Quiznos, just the two in my town. In both locations, it isn't like subway where you can see the sandwiches being made. The prep area is being obstructed to the point where all you can see is when the sandwich comes out of the toaster, and that is only if the stack of soft drink cups are not fully stocked.
Bone in PreCooked shredded Chicken
I was served a chicken Salad at Quiznos, with Jalepenos. While chewing, a peice of bone, about an inch long, was jammed into my mouth, just above the gumline on my left side. The bone went into the skin and splintered. I pulled it out, and complained to the casheir on duty, who offered me a refund. I was bleeding quite a bit, but they didnt seem at all concerned, and i was in a lot of pain from the jalepeno juice getting into the cut. A couple days later, instead of healing, the cut became very infected. A week later, I went to the dentist, who gave me the choice of doing a root canal, or pulling the tooth. Just wanting the pain to stop, i told him to pull the tooth. There was so much puss and infection in there, it kept draining for days. Then it formed another abscess and i went back to the dentist, who pulled a second tooth. A week later, I returned a third time, and the dentist removed a chunk of bone from the gum. After about a month, with antibitoics, the infection finally cleared up. No one at Quiznos would even return a call to me, and finally i did get to speak with someone at Tyson foods, who told me they were investigating, but were not preparedd to admit to any liabilty. Now, Tyson wants me to surrender the bone to them, and they want to offer an amount for a settlement that will not even addres the dental bills, and a bridge to replace the teeth. They state that they feel that the teeth had previous dental work, and therefore, were probably in bad shape before the incident with their food. Enclosed is a photograph of the bone that I saved.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
If you knew anything about Tyson or processed foods, you wouldn't ever get mechanically separated chicken again.
Also, it's really terrible that they didn't give you a second look and you went through such hell because of that, but chicken naturally has bones in it. I work at a Subway and sometimes when I'm prepping chicken, I'll find a little piece of bone or tendon in it. It comes with the territory. Mechanically separated chicken is just that: mechanically "separated".
food handling
While I was waiting to pay for my order I saw a male using his bare hands taking meat from a plastic bag and stuffing it with his fingers into a bin they use on the service line. I asked the worker who it was and he informed me that it was the owner. The owner asked what's the problem. I said "it kinda defeats the purpose of the using plastic gloves when...

I work at a Quizno's. My complaint is in the fact that the corporate guys thought it would be a good idea to change the sandwich wraps to these sleeve things that are oftentimes too small to contain the sandwich, especially since they made the floppy Rosemary bread free and everyone decided they wanted to order it all the time. It's nearly impossible to get a sandwich in there in the speedy time frame we are supposed to do it in, and the sandwich is usually fairly mutilated at the end because of the soggy Rosemary/chicken combos, so customers complain. We can't cut the sandwiches because of this, so customers whine about that too. There have been many occasions where these sleeves have forced us to remake sandwiches because they fell apart to the point where customers wouldn't accept it. It is getting ridiculous, and I know that if the guys in charge had ever attempted to wrap a large sandwich or fit it into these sleeves, they would have thought twice before making them policy.

I rarely frequent chain restaurants such as this but was asked to meet someone there and I accepted. Upon arriving it became clear quite quickly that cleanliness is not a top priority. There were not a lot of patrons so we thought it would be a quick order and we'd be on our way. Not going to happen. The sub maker screwed up the order in front of us and that delayed the whole process as they could not figure out how they had prepared a "bullet" instead of a regular sub. We were informed that they were out of bacon and tomatoes so if we wanted the sandwich we chose, we'd just have to do without. Ok, no real big deal we thought. Then to the next stage, soup. We were told that they were out of everything but tomato basil of which there was only enough left for 2 bowls. When the cashier told the manager there was no more tomato bail soup left, be brought over a tin of it and slammed it down next to her and told her that if anyone else asks for it, just microwave it. LOL - right in front of us. She glared at him and the obvious tensions with this crew were becoming more and more apparent. So, we finally made it to checkout only to find out that the soda machines did not work and that we would have to pay for the soda/tea/juice from the shelf. Whatever. Ok, so we sit down to a filthy table and dig in. We laughed when we tasted the soup. Watered down Campbells maybe. I don't know. Anyhow, we observed more banter between the staff and the manager. It was sad. We now understand why there was hardly anyone in there during peak lunch hours. If I were the franchise owner, I would put a halt to that immediately.

I dont think they should have made you pay extra when it was their fault their machines were not working. They should have given the bottled drinks for the same cost since it was their fault.
QUIZNOS STORE, DOWNTOWN MIAMI , MANAGER KICKING OUT CUSTOMERS
I have been Quiznos customer for a while but after today i will never go to quiznos. i saw the manager of this store her name was SONIA. she was yelling and swearing on one of my friend who was in line. My friend only asked her due to big lines why only one person is serving customers and others are just standing doing nothing and its lunch hour in downtown Miami. I have never seen a rude manager like that. she even refused to serve and kicked my friend out of the store. how shameful. do we need companies like that in business?

I wonder what the friend did to get kicked out of the store. I would like to see that part of the story.
Owner Charges EXTRA for pickles and condiments.
Today Aug 22 2009 I had ordered 10 different sandwiches for my company. This store did not take online orders, so I had to called in the order by phone. The person that I spoke to he put me on hold for at least 15 minutes and then tell me that I have to come in person to order cause he was busy. Thinking it was lunch hour there must have been lots of customers and a long line. I drove down to the shop to order after hanging up the phone which took less than 5 minutes. I had arrived and there was hardly anyone there no cars in the parking lot. I walk in and there was no line but had 3 employees just standing there. I have order many sandwiches more than once at this store and had no problem ordering on the phone. But today the owner was there and he decides to charge extra for pickles, condiments, and jalapenos. The owner was being cheap and he was charging me at least $0.50 for every each extra things I had asked for. I know asking for extra pickles and condiment anywhere else is FREE. But he had charged me up to extra $5! That is outrageous I argued with the owner that its not fair and that I have to feed 10 coworkers that would like extra condiments. He yells at me FIVE DOLLARS! FIVE DOLLARS! if you want MORE! Forget that! $5 doesn't grow on trees! Took my sandwiches and left the store. I was so appalled after leaving with my order I called Customer Services to file a complaint cause they did not have an email address and left me on hold. After being on hold for 10 minutes someone finally picks up to says good bye and HANGS UP! I call again and now no one is picking up the phone. I am so angry that I could not eat the sandwich at the end.

all fastfood places are charging extra for condiments. blame it on the recession
He owns it. He can charge whatever he wants
swearing
on july 6, 09 i went into the hinton quiznos with my two little girls. it was around 11-1130 am. and their were two ladies working that morning. the older lady was taking my order and telling me what they were out of which was almost every kind of meat. except ham and turkey. the other younger lady was asking the older lady why she hated her so much and ask her loud enough for me and my daugthers to hear she the younger lady ask the older lady why she was being such a ### and then the younger lady walked away. the older lady apologized for the younger lady. i just told the older lady that i would not be back again if that is the way they talk to each other. and not to have any meats for subs is just unnatural. the older lady said that their truck was not to be in until the nexts day sometime. i will not be giong back to quiznos at all. margert benard

Inappropriate behavior of management
The manger of this store has in appropriate conversations of a sexual nature with her teenage employees about their father who is married. The general manager of this franchise feels that it is a personal matter between the store manager and this child's parents. However, this store manager is having these conversations with the child while at work in an "employee - boss" environment. This store manager has also left vulger, profanity filled messages at the home of this child's parent and step-parent, which have been played for the general manager whom has taken no action against the store manager. I only wish I could find the information for the owener of this franchise because I would love to give him a piece of my mind about the caliber of people he chooses to employ as "management". All I know is if I were to behave this way at my place of employment I would certainly not have a job for long. I would suggest not allowing any child to work for these people, it will be nothing but trouble for all involved. On another note due to this I know I will never purchase another item from Quiznos and would suggest that any parent, step-parent or anyone that cares about the emotional and psychological well-being of children do the same. These people need to be shown that they can not be allowed to exploit our children and their emotions.

your kid can walk off the job at any time and find another, especially in fast food (btw great job on the parenting. Fast Food? Thats a great environment to put your kids in.. maybe she'll tell you about the great pot she smokes by the dumpster with Leroy and Jose after work.) You must never have worked in fast food in the past 10 years or you would know this already.
Thats the only lesson that needs teaching.

No refund
I ordered a Roman Salad at Quiznos Subs Store #4902 [28101 Harper Ave., St. Clair Shores, MI 48081]. After I arrived at home and took a couple of bites of the salad I realized there was missing tomatoes. I went back and the manager [refused to give his name] informed me that the Roman Salad does not have tomatoes. I showed him the sign that showed tomatoes under the Roman Salad, but he did not care. I wanted a refund, but he refused. I even mentioned to him that the salad quantity did not match the quantity at other Quiznos. He refused to make another one with tomatoes and would not give me a refund.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
You went back to the quiznos store to get the tomatoes and wasted the time to post this comment instead of going to the refrigerator or the store to grab a tomatoe? wow. americans, what is your next stop on shallowness?
My husband and i got takeout from Quiznos in Thornton Colorado on 88th and Pearl yesterday and as i ate my caesar salad i noticed there was a dead bug in my salad. We called management the next day and a manager by the name of Renu (sp?) informed me that she would not refund the salad and that most likely the bug made it's way into the salad after my husband left the store or maybe i ate it outside? My husband left with a sealed container and it was not opened until he put it on the kitchen table and we ate INDOORS. I will never go to another Quiznos ever again and plan on calling corporate offices on Monday.
Homosexual content
I agree that the contents of the Quiznos torpedo commercial is disgusting, degrading and inappropriate for viewing. Why must we be subject to such filth? This country is quickly on it way to a downward spiral into moral decay. We are a nation that was built on the principals of faith. God has blessed us with a system of wealth that other countries do not have. We have it printed on our money that we trust in God but God has been kicked out our schools and government. Our children are no longer safe to walk the halls because of terrorism from fellow students. They think it is cool to have tattoo's and be both homosexual and lesbians as well as heterosexual. Now we have to endure food commercials blatantly selling homosexuality. I am a christian and will not support this decay. It is our duty as citizens of this nation to demand moral integrity. If we don't take a stand, we have no right to voice our opinions. Other countries may not have the blessings that we do but morally, we are a poor and sickened nation that is on it's way to ruin.

the american mind is full of sex, the commercials, the tv shows, everything .no wonder there are so many rapists, child molesters and serial killers here in america. the good tv shows without the sex go off air after one season. sex sells in america. the african american are not rapists and child molesters because they don't watch that much tv. study, think and learn white america.
"We are a nation that was built on the principals of faith." Not. At. All. You're truly another theist idiot that blindly follows what your parents fed you whilst you were growing up. For your information, the founding fathers were Atheist. They didn't want religion in this country. But, that aside. Your intolerance is very un-christ-like, but typical. It's fools like yourself that are degrading the morals of this country. Your blind certainty is repulsive. On a side note... it's a [censor]ing commercial. Get over it. Who are you to say that homosexuality is wrong? You're so brainwashed it's pathetic.
I'm a liberal, yet I feel this commercial is suggestive, but in a stupid way. Nothing sensuous or sexy, more raunchy and, as I perceive it, derrogatory toward the gay community. It's just the wrong angle for advertising food. It certainly doesn't convince me to run out and buy their subs. I did rent 2001, though.
Really? You think a TALKING OVEN is trying to promote homosexuality? REALLY? I think they're trying to promote...eating sandwiches. Y'all have lost you collective mind.
It's a reference to 2001's computer HAL. Computer's don't have sexual organs. And if your kids actually get the commercial, you have bigger things to worry about.
What is going on in this country? I sent this to Quiznos...
Your new TV commercial about the new "Torpedo Sub" is really in bad taste. When I saw the ad for the 1st time and watched it I was thinking that it was somewhat suggestive and weird, but when the oven said "Put it in me Scott" I was simply astounded and was glad my kids were not in the living room to watch the ad. What in the heck are you guys thinking? Food and gay references do not go together. Seems to have another agenda to promote homosexuality. My kids see enough garbage on TV without getting it from the fast food restaurants. Pretty Tasteless if you ask me.
I also wrote Ohio State Gov.
Haha. You crack me up!
It is vile and disgusting. Will no longer eat at Quiznos due to their disgusting innuendo. And what's worse is that ad execs and other so-called upper management people ok'ed the thing. They obviously think that the public are easily influenced and led by base animal instincts. Just to eat a crappy sandwich. Nothing like selling your immortal soul for a few bucks.
