We decided not renew our subscription to Readers Digest and told them so. Of course they ignored this request and charged our credit card $32.98. When we complained about this they returned $21.98 to the credit card keeping $10.99 we complained about this oversight they ignored us again. They haven't returned any emails or money. What right do these crooks have to steal from us? I know this isn't much money, but why should we give it away to a rich company for nothing? We sure don't owe them this money!
I have been receiving past due notices from Readers Digest even though I have not renewed my subscription. There is no phone number on the bill to call. I am not renewing my subscription only because of their practices of sending past due notices!
I am upset that you would dare to do an international survey on the Presidential Campaign, and then print it, with obvious intent to sway the electorate. Shame on you. I could give a rats butt about what Europians think of our election, and if the French are 75% in favor of Obama, that is good reason for no American to vote with them. I have been a readers for 5 decades, but this gaff may cost you my subscriptions.
R D sends out a card with the magazine inviting the recepient to register at a website that does not exist. This is byway of a reward for subscribing and is wrong.
How can you win an Ipod when the online site is not available
This seems again the usual to try to make you happy with nothing by simple not allawing to get on the website.
Very bad Service of Readers Digest
On 7/21/07, I subscribed to RD with gift subscriptions to my children. In checking before re-ordering this year, I found that Don-Brenda did NOT receive any issues last year. In checking the address, I found it to be 142 George Chaney Rd., LaVergne, TN. I don't know where this address came from--not from me! Their address should be 142 Chaney Dr., LaVergne, TN. Since they did not receive the RDs last year, should I try again or will someone change it again to 'George Chaney' Rd.?
Please advise. Thank you.

my complaint is the same as others I've read. Obviously, we need more instuctions to enter the ipod contest
I have the same entry invitation but nowhere to enter the code.
I COMPLAINED TO READERS DIGEST ABOUT THE IPOD WEB PAGE. THEY SAID IT WAS MY COMPUTER. I THINK THEY ARE A FRAUD COMPANY.
no such site as rd.ca/ipodtouch on computer
hey the web site is not there
you would think that a company as big as this would not scam all of these people i have been a readers digest reader for years
but as to this i may not be any more
If you continue to send garbage like the " ipodtouch " contest and don't have the "site " on the computer to go to ... I DON"T want anymore garbage like that sent to me .. If this continues, I will be canceling my subscription to Readers Digest ! As this is NOT the first time this has happened... when I have tried to enter a contest before !
garbage
In May 2008, I recieved an offer for 12 monthly issues of Readers Digest for a sum of $10.00. I agreed to the offer and sent out a check with the corresponding amount. It has been five months and Readers Digest has not responded to me. I am very upset and would like to know the status of my order which was placed.
you guys are starting to p...ed me off.. Do you care about peoples that like to read the 'magazine' or are you just a big 'scam'?for so long i've been reading this 'book' and you know what with all the 'junk mails that i received i should of been 'millionnaire' thousands of time...lol what a joke'' the confirmation code if you really do give away an 'ipod' should read "ACCESS CODE "instead..
I received a card that said to log on to www.rd.com/surprise to claism a FREE GIFT. The web site does not have a place to claim a free gift. Readers Digest has become more disappointing to me each year. Even the aricles are depressing.
Receive contests thru readers digest unable to access them on websites indicated www.rd.ca/gps one example
Just another in the line of fools that actually fell for yet ANOTHER Reader Digest scam/contest. we have ben subscribers for over 40 years, We should know by now that there are NEVER any contests and therefore NO winners.!

Maybe it's time we all stop subscribing to Readers Digest and let them figure out they cannot scam all the people all the time.
I used to have respect for Reader's Digest because the magazine was so good but that has all changed now. They are horrible with their misleading marketing schemes and scams. Total crap of a company!
I always get a letter saying i will win thousands of pounds, what such crap as there is no such thing as free money! And why is it me that gets one of these letters each year? out of all the millions of people, im the one who goes into a draw-funny that! I think its a scam by the government myself, checking up on people maybe-i dunno but its all very strange dont ya think?
I tried to enter contest code numbers only to find that like other contests from RD I had no way of getting this activated, or could'nt get the e-mail address provided with mail in contests cards through the mail
i paid 65.00 for 24 issues of readers digest and never recieved one magazine this is the second time this has happened to me is this some kind of rip off ? I want to know who to call to get my money back? i am very upset by all of this and would like some one to contact me.
I have tried to find a site to discomtinue receiving these books that are sent to me but have been unable to do so.I am not going to pay for any more of the books which I will discard.
ive been a long time customer of readers digest, and have ordered many items through them, and enter the sweepstakes frequently. a couple of times i have been sent a chance to win something online by entering a code, however when i try to go to the site that is specified, it cannot be found. this time it was to win a free GPS. there is no such site. they said to enter online at "www.rd.ca/gps". as usual it does not work...
more and more I am getting requests to enter for draws that are non existent. I am fed up with Readers Digest and their false advertising
this is the second time we receive this fraud contest cards re gps i am going tocancel subcription if this keeps up diane webbo
Readers Digest advertises that going to the website shown gives you a chance to win one of three GPS devices, just by entering the access code supplied to register. There is no such website and this is the second time I've encountered this problem. Readers digest is usually a well respected magazine but if they keep using this type of bogus approach to their customers their credibilty will soon be gone.
I received a card with my readers digest magazine to enter a contest for a sony gps.when I went to the address on the card there was no contest there.I will not be renewing my subscription if they are not reliable.
I would like to know what comment Readers Digest
has to say about this situation. It has happened to me a few times before.
Tried to enter for a free GPS device at www.rd.ca/gps and there is NO site to enter. Very disapointed for the FALSE advertising !
For all the flyers they send out to enter there contest with the web-site, you can't get into it. Most time it says there is no such a web-site.
I have been getting Readers Digest Products for years. I'm now 70 years old. Every so often, I get a card from Readers Digest telling me to go to www.rd.com/surprise that a free gift is waiting for me(preferred subscriber Surprise gift offer) . Never happens...could never get to that web site. I think something should be done about this.
Thank you!

For the 2nd time this year, Readers Digest without my knowledge/request and or approval, has sent another "FREE GIFT" to my address through US Mail. This is always followed with a $49 bill for the "FREE GIFT" within 2-3 weeks. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM ! Has this one time reputible company sunk so low that it must attempt to scam the general public for some cash flow?
I Have loved Readers digest and m shocked tht thay do this.. hard to believe..
What a joke. Readers Digest sends out a card to win a digital camera and there is no special website to go to about this to enter an access code, whats up with that.So much for entering.
i too feel the same and rethinking about renewing my subs. moreover the superflous letters, yes or no covers, stickers etc., defenited a drain on our environement . imagine how many trees should have been cut for these papers !
