sexual harassment
The I'm writing on behalf of someone very close to me.
Donald Finn the franchise owner of Sasol Duncanville has sexually harassed an employee that he hired she has left her position and has been jobless.
She has taken him up to ccma but she has been been paid off for 3 months and a criminal charge has been layed. Donald Finn has pitched with 2 lawyers breaking the should of a young women and tearing her apart.
It is disgusting to know that sasol has such people to own franchises
There could be more women he has done this too but his so good at using his money to bribe people
petrol
On the 29th June 2019 I visited a Sasol garage at the mentioned address. I requested R200 petrol to be filled into my 2019 VW Tiguan, as I wanted to make a quick trip to JHB. I am quite observant so I watched the petrol attendant filling the fuel. It showed the fuel being filled. However after paying and driving off I noticed my fuel indicator remained the same, including the range predictor. I went back to the garage and the manager dealt with the situation in an appalling fashion. He printed out a statement showing the fuel being dispensed, but why then did my fuel gauge and range on my NEW vehicle not move. This is daylight robbery and I am sure there are other people who are victims of such scams. In order to investigate further I drove to a nearby Caltex and filled another R200. My fuel gauge immediately moved including the range. That garage is not accountable for their actions and claim their instruments are calibrated. As a customer you have nothing protecting you. If there are other people they must come forth.
I paid but no petrol was put in my car
On Saturday 2019-06-29 at about 09h35 I stopped at Sasol Garage, Corner Van Dyk and Osborn Road to fill up the petrol, I told the petrol attendant to put R100 (95 Unleaded) for me. After that I left but on the way I saw that a car gauge did not go up. I am driving a Renault KWID which is 28 liters tank and when I put R100 petrol the gauge definitely go up because it's a small car with small tank. I went back to the garage and they said they will call me when the Manager is on site which they did. I went back again and the rude manager Brian wanted to chase me because I said he was rude but I insisted and he showed me the CCTV footage where I only saw a petrol attendant putting a nozzle in my car, THERE IS NO EVIDENCE AT ALL THAT HE DID PUT PETROL IN MY CAR. NO CAMERA SHOWS THE MACHINE READINGS WHILE HE WAS PUTTING PETROL.
Hi I experienced the exact same problem this weekend [protected]). I tried to put R200. The manager claims my new vw TIGUAN 2019 is reading incorrectly. That is a load on nonsense. I want Sasol South Africa to investigate.
bad service and bad attitude
Good day
I am sibongile khumalo, on 2019-01-27 between 10:13 and 10: 30 1 went to buy cuppuccino at sasol garage at Masabalala yengwa road, Durban opposite toyota .
When I went inside the shop I asked for cuppuccino and the petrol attendant who was standing where they sold cuppuccino called an African female to assist me. When that african female arrived I told her what I want, then she went behind the aisle and I was not able to see what she was doing. Because of time that she took behind that aisle I asked her if is she boiling the water for my cuppuccino, and she responded disrespectful saying this coffee machine is slow. After a while she brought my cuppuccino and dropped it infront of me and left towards her colleagues. I excused her to come back, and I said to her next time she must inform the customer about delays and she responded that she won't make cuppuccino anymore. She never stopped there she called her colleagues and said to them " please next time don't call me to make cuppuccino.
I said okey thanks I won't take this cuppuccino and she responded saying, "okey leave its fine because you didn't pay for it yet"
She had a very very bad attitude unfortunately I didn't take her name, but I can able to point her.
I never experience such a bad attitude at sasol garage . I use different sasol garage to fill petrol such as two at Harry Gwala road Cato manor, Han's dettmans but it was a first time receiving such a bad service as well as bad attitude.
Than I decided to go and buy it somewhere else, which incovience me towards my plans.
I would appreciate if my complaint receive attention. And i also request a feed back about this matter.
Thanks in advance

unsatisfactory treatment
On the 27 September 2018, I filled in Petrol at the Newtown Sasol. At that time my car was from service at Kia on the 26th September 2018. The car stopped working and it war jerking. I took the car back to Kia where they told me that they have drained petrol from it and the petrol had some form of water. Kia gave me a quotation of about 5100 in order to fix the car and we have been in constant contact with Ephraim Papo who told us that it was not Sasol's fault. I eventually told Kia to go ahead and fix the car as this is my only form of Transport. I then paid for the service which was discounted to R2277 plus 200 for fuel. I then sent this information to Ephraim who told me that I need to have 3 slips which show that I have been regularly filling at Sasol and then he will arrange for a refund. I unfortunately do not have 3 slips as I did not foresee that I will experience problems. I since have 1 transaction which I did with my bank card on the 18th September at Sasol Newtown which is the regular garage that I use. I also sometimes use the one in Riverlea next to the recreation centre.
I humbly request that my claim be paid as I believe this was not my fault. I still have the petrol drained from my car in the boot which is another loss.
management
I have been a regular at Sasol Labelle in Stikland since I started working. I am very fond of the station and their employees but recently it has been extremely uncomfortable going inside the store.
There is a man that stands at the till point and he makes a lot of unnecessary comments. He says stuff in xhosa about women's breast and bums and thinks people cannot understand him because they are not black. He asks personal questions in front of other customers. Even after I don't reply, he persists on and uses terms as 'baby' to address me. I recently asked one of the attendants who he was and was told he belongs to management. If their management has people like that then I don't know who to report this to. I have once spoken to a lady but nothing since to have been done. She tells me of it is possible to write it via mail or come when her boss is available as they require proof. This has also happened with my colleague.
This is not customer service, it is harassment.
I am complaining about unclean diesel.
I always make use of Sasol to get my ABSA rewards. Currently I have a petrol 1200 BMW motorcycle and a diesel 4x4 Toyota Fortuner. My Fortuner has a 110 liter diesel tank. I went through my bank records when and where I put diesel in the last three months. On the 14 May I put R1456 in at Sasol Gezina Forecourt, on the 11 June I put R1544 in at Sasol Gezina Forecourt and on the 17 July I put R1605in at Sasol Persequor Park Lynnwood. Since then my Fortuner has given problems. Going into Limp mode. After two weeks of investigation it was found that the diesel was contaminated. Resulting in that everything had to be clean and all filters were replaced. The cost for this is about R10000 my mobile number is [protected] and my email is [protected]@arc.agric.za and [protected]@gmail.com. Thank you.
Can you please contact me regards the problem with the contaminated diesel.

cashier phindiwe
I am soo disapointed by the service i recieved at Sasol Mthatha Fortgale garage, i was given attitude by the name of Phindiwe, she ignored me as i stood at the till waiting to pay, she attended to her colleauge who was buying airtime while the colleague found me standing at the till, she then proceeded to give change to the petrol attendants, when i asked if am i at the right till she continued to ignore me, i was finally asssisted by another lady apparently she is the manager. I told the manager of how unhappy i was, but she told me she will speak to her, Phindiwe showed no remorse and continued with her attitude.
I do not see myself, myfamily and frienda ever using that garage ever again, luckily there is a garage opposite Sasol, and if your staff continues with this stinky attitude, you are going to loose customers trust me.
sasol filling stations.
On several occasions now, both the Sasol fuel stations in Jan Hofmeyer and Long Road in Welkom have suddenly "run out of fuel" just before a price increase - very suspicious...
Funny how the other filling stations have fuel.
Once or twice maybe yes, but how can the fuel run out EVERY time before an increase ?
This has been carrying on for a long time and so far nothing has been done about it.
I have no lodged a complaint with MIOSA.
The filling stations are:
1) Sasol Welkom Square Long Road
2) Sasol Welkom Jan Hofmeyer Road.
29/07/2018 2:30am... staff complaints
We stopped at sasol fourways mall to buy coffee and the gentleman and the lady working there were so rude and mean as if we were disturbing their peace early hours of the morning. We literally forced them to assist us with the machine that was not working while we have paid already. The lady started addressing us in xhosa or zulu of which we didn't understand... She literally left us there to struggle with the machine we are not familiar with. We will never come back there. If you have cameras feel free to look at them and see the coldness that was in them. They were colder than the weather outside... Clearly sasol cannot be a store of convenience sincewell we were strategically sent off... We ended up taking our money and left went to a super garage caltex with the best service service on earth and friendly staff while your ugly unsmiling staff lost business to its competitor caltex cedar with exceptional service... Even if they are tired they don't show it... I really trust something will be done for the sake of your business
witkoppen service station - bad service
On 12/07/18 I stopped at Witkoppen service station for a snack. Took a packet of the new Simba straws and a coke. Simba straws had no price and cashier called what I believe is the manager " Jimmy" about 10 times explaining that the client is waiting. He had no interest to come to the front. Eventually after much calling etc he came out said the guy has already left sorry. Why do you have products on your shelf if clients can not buy and why no communication to the client directly. As a clients I really thought I bothered him as he did not bother to come and talk to me just stood in his office door.
filling station on the n17
I make regular use of the filling station on the N 17 to fill my car, today my car gave me notification that I've got a flat tire and stop there to put in air, I was told that their compressor was not working. When I got out of my car and did it myself, the compressor was clearly working and it was clear that they just didn't wanna help me because I didn't fill my car there at this time. So in future I will fill up at any other station but Sasol.
fuel price rip off
I went there to fill my tank which was on half and ended up paying what I'd usually pay to fill an empty tank.
I am aware that fuel prices have gone up but wouldn't mean I'd pay R1200 to fill a 1.2 vehicle. Chances are the pump was manipulated BUT ill never know struggling to get through their complaints department try sending a mail it bounced back
sasol / absa rewards
As an absa customer I make use of sasol products in order to get the partner rewards.
Recently I have used two franchises as recorded thus on my bank statement and not received said rewards:
C#sasol malamulele fuel : malamulele
Minty's service station : rosebank
Are these registered sasol vendors? If so, why does absa not recognize them? If not then it should be made clear that as an absa customer you get no benefit from supporting these vendors.
poorest customer service sithebe sasol garage
On the 23 May 2018 I went to Sasol garage at Sithebe near Mansion in KZN. Poured and paid for R500 petrol. Went inside and bought a full chicken. I asked for the ladies room and I was refused to use it unless I paid r2 to use it. I asked for the manager ; she came and explained without any care for customers... That it's procedure... Even when I showed her the stuff I had bought.
It is a total neglect and worst service I 've ever had; being refused to use a toilet.
I am asking my self why should I come back to the Sasol garage in Isithebe again... I will never and I have told my colleagues and family relatives how I was mistreated after being a loyal customer.
I compare this Sasol ISithebe with other petrol stations, they rather give us keys to access the toilets than to refuse and demand that we pay.
Sasol garage in Stanger is excellent, customers get the best service and access to the toilets without any favours or discrimination.
Sasol garage in Isithebe Mandeni KZN is the worst. They receive good customers yet they treat us like strangers. There is no customer care at all.
In RSA businesses have a code of practice as Kings code emphasizes on caring for the environment/ planet, people, and for business not to make a profit at the expense of someone. This is triple bottom line and Isithebe Sasol garage is not adhering to this. I will end up polluting anywhere because I've been denied to use a proper infrastructure.
This is so sad and disappointing.
Sad and unsatisfied customer.

water in diesel - ref no [protected]
Good day
I poured R300.00 diesel in at SSS Filing Station, 84 Helena Lochner str, Vanderbijlpark on Friday the 11th of May 2018, as my car was almost empty. I drove for 10km where the car then totally died, and the fuel filter warning light came on, which indicates that there is water in die diesel. I phoned SSS filing station still the same day to launch a complaint, but the manager went home already. I called again the next morning, where I spoke to Elmarie. She logged a call and also referred me to Daan van Heerden. I completed an "Equipment failure claim for fuels"at this filling station. I was only advised on the 15th May, after calling the call centre 0860335 444, to send it through to [protected]@sasol.com. Since Wednesday 16 May every time we follow up I am told someone will phone me, but we haven't been called at all, and my car has now been standing at a garage for a week and I still don't know what is going to be done about this problem.
This problem needs to be sorted out asap please.

poorest of poor service
Please change owners at sasol winternest akasia. This garage is a disgrace for Sasol SA. The service is beyond poor to say the least. Management don't care if you complain. Owners just say the complainant is unnecessarily difficult. According to them they are rated as one of the top Sasol garages in Gauteng. I stop putting in petrol at them because of their service. Rather put petrol at Shell or BP. Please check and rectify
the petrol attendant damaged my vehicle paint. scratches are deep as confirmed by toyota.
Very very disappointed at Sasol Fourways! This idiot petrol attendant caused damages to the paint of my vehicle's bonnet. My car is only 1 year old, 2017 model. I was at Sasol Fourways on the 17/04/2018 around 20:17. Did a full tank then the attendant decided to check tyre pressures and clean the windscreens also. While he was wiping the front windscreen we noticed his sense are not right, he clearly didn't know how much pressure to apply to clean a windscreen, he was hitting very hard on the glass with that wiper! For the 1st time in my 18 years of driving experience I felt uncomfortable as I was afraid he would break the damn windscreen. Anyway moving on, this is not the issue however it is related because of the person's style/nature of work. Next he moved on to clean the [censored] off my car's bonnet, and that's where he spend few good minutes to clean it - rubbing it and etc... Note that I did not ask him to clean that bird*. All fine and I left without knowing my car was damaged. Now when I went for a car wash after 5 days, I noticed the damages on my cars bonnet. I must state that these damages are not noticeable during night and under low light. It was actually during a car wash where I noticed it under the sun. After noticing this I rushed to the same garage, Sasol Fourways and met the manager (Richard), he saw the damages and accepted that they are actually damages and was sorry for it, he even took the original receipt for that night; said he would speak to the owner of the garage and get back to me. After that he called saying he doesn't see anything on the camera! He got the petrol attendant to call me of which he said he didn't clean the bonnet. 2nd call from him to me, he said he used the soft wiper to clean it but didn't cause damaged... Notice the two contradictory statements. Then the garage manager, Richard spoke again said he checked the camera and said the attendant didn't clean the bonnet. How on earth can Sasol deny such things and that too having a camera? We clearly saw the attendant cleaning the birdsh! t, it was very noticeable as he was 1. standing there by the bonnet 2. spent so much time on it cleaning. 3. since I was on driving seat I can see clearly where he was cleaning...
Can someone call me on +[protected]
no petrol
Was at the Sasol garage again tonight @ +- 22:30 and once again no petrol. REALLY. Rather just close down the garage. This is now really pathetic. No response from the garage or the head office. Think its time to name and shame on the social media platforms. Because no one seems to care at sasol anymore.
Tonight was the last straw.
Very annoyed ex customer.

Subject: Sasol garage midrand out of petrol... AGAIN...
Hi i spend on average of R3000 on petrol a month and usually fill up at sasol garage in midrand as its on my way home. Over the last 3 months they have been without petrol not once, not twice, not three times but last night was the 5th time. I drive past 2 other garages to go to sasol as I only use sasol and a garage being out of petrol once in a year i could understand but 5 times in 3 months. Think someone is not doing there job properly or the guys are to lazy to pour petrol at night. Something really neefs to be done about this as it looks like the sasol garage in midrands owners are not worried about the competition around them. Engen, Caltex and BP
radiokop / c/o mozart and nick diedricks boulevard.
This morning I put R120.00 worth of 93 petrol in my car, I went into the shop to pay and decided to use my debit card. the attendant was fiddling with the machine and told me that he had entered R1200.00 by mistake. Whether he wanted me to let him strike my card again or pay cash or this was meant as a practical joke it is not the thing to pull with a person who is senior and limited resources. The franchise manager or owner said he would talk to to the cashier and winked. I am disappointed as I have used your products in my cars for overs 20 years. Please investigate.
