Home Renovation
I hired them to complete a huge project at my home. Not only was it 13 months, but they were unable to get the job done after 2 of their sub contractors. I finally had to get other contractors to come in and complete the job that they messed up including having to take up a tille floor 3 times, leaving me with undone work. I am still not refunded for the money they have taken from me and my insurance company nor for the money I paid out of pocket to have my home completed. As far as I am concerned I see this as fraud at this point. I do not recommend them to anyone for anything. I documented everything with photos and dated pictures. They even reinstalled mold back into my home and tried to cover it up under a drawer. I have proof on photos. My project has gone from 2022 to 2023.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement of everything I paid them for that I had to have redone by other contractors and/or end up doing myself. A formal apology. No arbitration per their contract otherwise I will be posting my photos and videos for public viewing.
Restoration services
At this time will give you the short story. My home burned down on June 27th 2022. A ServPro contractor was sent by my insurance company to secure/board up my home. Having never experienced a home burning down my family put their faith in both ServPro and our Insurance company. How wrong we were to have been so stupid. We are currently in court with ServPro having placed a lien on our home. We are and will continue to go to court. have no doubt, the signatures were forged and if necessary I will hire a handwriting specialist to confirm my accusation. The real shame with my situation is that my nephew and nieces home had extensive damage and another ServPro Franchise handled their Project. They could not be happier with the service they received. I can not believe how a reputable company like ServPro would allow a franchisee to operate in such a way to tarnish a nationally known company. When I am done in court I will be providing more details to ServPro Corporate in the hopes that they do an internal investigation.
Desired outcome: I want the franchisee's license voided.
Mold remediation
I hired Servpro of Howell to come out and handle my motivation. Upon completion of the mold removal, they began ripping out cabinets in the affected area, and then continue to do the opposite side, which was not approved by the insurance company. They also started ripping up my tire and stopped abruptly, they noticed they made a mistake and wanted me to sign, a service contract and I refused to until approval was given by my HOI
They sent several different bids, each with different numbers and dollar amounts, which was kind of suspect. Ultimately a supervisor took over the case, and was dealing with them directly, including payouts. I did fire them on the spot when they started doing the tiles and that was the last time I dealt with him in anyway.
Being very frustrated, they took it upon themselves to report a criminal complaint, and said that I stole a check that was written for them. The police department did a designation and found. Otherwise I was cleared of all complaints.
Desired outcome: They are held criminally liable for reporting it falls from a client to the police department and knowingly devise please that I stole a check, which they knew was not true.
Was paid by the insurance company and the job was not complete.
I had an electrical fire in my house last year back in March. State Farm recommended and got Servpro to do the job. State Farm approved and paid Servpro the money to do the job for the electrical work. The work was not complete. I have sent numerous emails to Nick Loughlin the General Manager about this issue. there has not been any respond to the email. The last time I spoke with Michelle they were aware of the problem. but no one has reach out to us to fix the problem. So, I'm reaching out to you before I take the next step and contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint against this company.
Desired outcome: To finishing the job, they were paid for to do..
Service
Had Serv Pro of Scottsdale SwPheonix and Avondale remediate and mold removal on our residence at 13810 S. Garnet Rd, Buckeye, AZ. Then asked them to do the reconstruction of the home Nov.3rd 2023. They said they could have done by January's end of month. Didn't happen. We hired sheetrocker to start reconstruction. That made Serv Pro upset. They asked for a contract for the rest of reconstruction. We did that and signed contract. Manager said new date of reconstruction mid Feb completed. Didn't happen. All calls and all texts are ignored by all managers. They work a little and don't show up for a week. Then work little and don't show again sometimes up to ten days. No customer service atcall with them. Asked for rebuild expenses 3 times, they said okay and then it never happens. It's now May 4th and house is almost complete except cabinets. Can't get them to answer calls on eta of cabinets been 3 weeks of no communications from them. Won't return calls, won't return texts. My complaint is one of non performance, Non communication, and non perfessionalism. Worst experience of my life dealing with them.
Desired outcome: Want the cabinets installed, expenses as of to date. And home finished to standards.
Water remediation services
My pipes froze and burst while I was out-of-town for the holidays. Most of the reputable companies were booked up and I couldn't get an appointment, so I hired a company (American Restoration Pro, aka American Renovation Professionals) to come out and do the dryout, as my friend had already gotten the water out. Long story short, they did a horrible job with the dryout and left wet drywall, baseboards and floors in place. To make matters worse, they charged for services and equipment that was not provided. I terminated their services.
Because of the subsequent tornados that came through Atlanta, it took another 2 months to get an appointment for another company to come out because I had to go to the end of the list of customers looking for service. Then, I got a call from ServPro stating that my adjuster had given them my contact information. They sent someone out from their Mitigation Department with a moisture meter to check for moisture in a couple of the walls. Even though there were water stains on the walls, he still determined that everything was dry and gave the "green light" for the crew to start the rebuild! They started installing drywall, despite my requests to remove the old materials first to avoid mold issues. Finally, over a week later, I insisted that they remove the effected drywalls and baseboards. There was mold! Now we've got a bigger problem that could have been avoided if they had just done their due diligence!
Desired outcome: My home to be treated by mold experts, and my repairs done right in a timely manner by experienced, licensed contractors. Otherwise, a full refund plus compensation for the mold treatment and inconvenience/stress.
Unfinished and subpar work.
Servpro was hired to replace our flooring and edges after a water leak. It has been 16 months and they have yet to finish, constantly give us wrong information and refuse to correct problems. They also ruined items they will not replace. Lowes could have finished this in two weeks. They are also charging us over 20,000 of work they never did and did not need done.
Desired outcome: They have been overpaid at this point and still want money for items not ever done. Need them to eliminate those items from their quotes and billings and let us find a competent contractor to finish the job.

Plumbing/drywall
New Year’s Eve 2022 water was leaking into our basement from our upstairs bathroom. Called several plumbing companies, most were not open, but fortunately we were able to get one to come out. Plumber was able to notice that a prior plumbing job performed in 2020 was done incorrectly. Incorrect piping was used, pipe was crooked and supported by a random piece of word to help support it, and I correct glue were all the culprits for this shoddy job, we were also notified that we now have mold in our walls. We called our insurance to find out which company was responsible for the work. The following Monday we reached out to servpro and explain the situation, to which they replied it was not their responsibility because they never did the work. After several minutes of back and forth finger pointing we told the representative that we have Servpros billing paperwork they sent to our insurance for the work. They asked for us to email everything to them. Within minutes of sending the paperwork they reached out and told us they would take care of it. Because they were going to loose money for honoring their work and not getting paid it would take a several weeks before it was fixed. We told them several times that wasn’t going to work since we only have one bathroom in our house. Needless to say it took them a little over 3 weeks to bring a plumber to come out and fix our piping. They were more than happy to not mention drywall repair until my girlfriend told them the job wasn’t completely finished. Drywall people finally came out 1/30/2023, with mold being a big factor one would think they would replace the whole wall, they only bothered to go down to the next available stud and call it good. They left mud on our door and window, scraps of new drywall left inside the cavity of our wall, small bubble where they taped. All around a non professional job. I reached out to the rep we initially spoke with and expressed my frustration. He assured me he and a drywall person would be out today (2/6/2023) at 8 a.m. to access the situation, it’s currently 10:15 and no response from them.
Desired outcome: First and foremost an apology is needed, this whole ordeal is asinine. Monetary reimbursement for the initial plumber fee and tools we had to buy.
Theft
Servpro was hired to clean my apartment and contents after a fire in July. I was out of town so gave the team my garage code on August 15. I returned the next day to find my garage door opener missing from the car parked in my garage. After a fraud alert on a credit card I'd failed to remove from the apartment, I began looking through the contents, and I found several electronic items were missing as well as a tub full of collector's cards. Total was at least 2k.
Desired outcome: Items returned or money recouped.
Water remediation.
I contacted Servpro through my State Farm recommendation claim number 2543k937f on December 24th due to a upstairs bathroom pipe freezing and leaking. Servpro came out on the 26th to install equipment in the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms of an 1880s house. I explained to them that there was horsehair plaster and extra thick walls and they needed to really open it up to dry it, they cut a 2 inch by 4 in hole in the ceiling of the first floor hallway directly below the bathroom and then they sealed off the bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. When they came back on the 29th of December to check the water it was still high in the walls. They rewrapped to seal it better and said they'd leave the heaters to dry and the dehumidifier they came back out on the 23rd or 24th and said the upstairs was dry they removed the flooring and broke the wax ring on toilet. In the meantime I had called the Ozark office that was taking care of the issue and told them about the root cellar being wet I called them two times in 2 days. Then about then about 3 days later they showed up to pull all of the equipment without putting anything in the root cellar. I told them they needed to move those down to the roof Cellar cuz it was wet they did and I explained to them that it's because they didn't put enough hot air in upstairs to dry it out. So then it was another week of their equipment in my root cellar to dry what they didn't dry to start with. The people they sent had no clue of how to remediate the moisture a 2-in hole for three floors of house will not dry it out in 72 hours. I am not paying the balance of the Bill of $2,000 give plus or minus for damage and further continuing of wetness in my house because of their unability to properly prep the house for drying. The attach picture is the visible damage originally and where the light is, is where they cut the 2 in by 4-in hole that is the ceiling between the two bathrooms and to the side. The rest of the pictures are how much damage they had to remove once it was all dry and I believe that a lot of damage to the flooring in the kitchen and the damage to the root cellar was caused by lack of attention and knowledge on the part of the remediation team.
Desired outcome: My desired outcome is to have my bill zeroed out. I understand that this was a serious storm and a lot of people needed Servpro but the quality and quantity of their attention to detail is seriously lacking.
Wow...I am so sorry that that happened to you Rebecca! I am going through a very similar situation with ServPro in Atlanta. My pipes froze and burst as well while I was out-of-town for the holidays. As you know, most of the reputable companies were booked up and I couldn't get an appointment, so I hired a company (American Restoration Pro, aka American Renovation Professionals) to come out and do the dryout, as my friend had already gotten the water out. Overcharging and fraudulent billing
We had a pipe freeze and break in an empty rental apartment that is above my business. The water may have flowed for up to 2 days before it was discovered, so it was wet in the apartment as well as below in my business area. The water was clean water from the broken water pipe, so involved no dirt, mud or debris.. just water.
My husband is nearly 80 and, I think, experiencing some early dementia. He was so upset by the flooding, I did some basic research on Servpro and found information that explained the procedures, services, and costs. The average cost as per the website was 2700.00. I thought this rather steep, as we are both elderly and on fixed income and no longer use the building, but, rather than try to do it ourselves or look for someone local, because my husband was in a very agitated state, I called Servpro.
Though it was later In the afternoon, they came and brought some equipment and spoke with my husband. They did not leave an estimate.. then or ever.
This was on Dec 27. They came back on the 28th and brought more fans. They were back on the 29th and removed the carpet from one small bedroom and again on the 30th and removed some insulation from the downstairs ceiling. They also moved the fans. They came again on the 31st and moved the fans again. Each time they came they were there was only for a brief visit.. not more than 1 to 3 hours. The 1st was a holiday and on the 2nd they came and removed the fans and gave us a bill of 13,357.52.
They are now claiming this was an estimate, which obviously is far too detailed to be just an estimate. It was the original bill presented.
They emailed the bill per my request after my husband paid them 10,000.00, but left him no receipt at the time.
When I questioned my poor husband about bills, estimates and receipts, he said he had talked them out of the 13,357.52 bill and given them 10,000.00 only!
Because we received no estimate, other than, "to be determined", I was shocked at the amount he gave them and texted them as much.
I know that my husband signed the invoices and an original agreement with an estimate of "to be determined" and we have no legal recourse.
However, for the record, The attached "estimate" is a fraud. My husband told me when he asked for one he was told it was too difficult to estimate until they got into the job.
I was assuming, by the website information, it would not be over 3000.00 at the worst.
This company, "All Dry"..contracted by ServPro, in my estimation, needs to be looked at by ServPro to see if they deserve to carry your business name.
The kitchen flooring is still squishing when walked on but I do not want them back on my property so will get it fixed elsewhere.
I suspect this is the kind of gouging that goes on with insurance claims. If they operated this way with paying customers such as ourselves, they would not be in business.
I am angry at ServPro for contracting with scoundrels, ashamed of our inattention to details that left us open to such fraud (we are older, and from a different generation of more honorable business practice, but should know better) and sorrowed by the loss of our hard earned money and the belt tightening it will cost us for a couple of years.
I will spread the word about your company's association with such companies as best I am able. We are well respected members of our community and already receiving much sympathy for our situation and disgust at what was done to us.
I would appreciate any feedback you might give me.
Attached are the "Estimate" and the doctored new bill to show what was actually paid.

Invoice that was sent to us shows we were charged a mobilization fee which is explained to us as an out of state fee of 2234.69. We have 3 adults in this house the day he came in. He did not state this fee what so ever and I did not sign an out of state fee anywhere. I could have gotten someone local but heard great things from this company. The hidden fee should have been clearly discussed, not hidden. Insurance will not pay for this so now we are out 2234.69. The company will not work with us at all. Our insurance also reported a discreptancy of
Primary bedroom flood cut quantity is wrong. The contractor charged $3,454.29 for 550 LF of flood cuts. There is not LF in that room. The approved amount is $587.42. This is a difference of $2,865.87.
Toilet room flood cut quantity is also wrong. They charged $244.87 when the correct charge should have been $130.41. This is a difference of $114.46.
So We got a loss of 3815.57 that should be refunded, We are not getting any answers from this compnay. We are at a time of need and need any money for repairs, We should not have been cheated. Please help us follow up with this and help to get some of it back for our damages.
Thanks

Servpro repair
The mitigation team was outstanding so I have no complaints with that. However on the repair side, I don’t even know where to begin. It took two separate crews, that Servpro contracted the work out to, to try and get my house back to the way it was. Some of the repair work included replacing two 2x23ft sections of sheet rock. The first crew didn’t even use Sheetrock tape over any of the seems. I informed the project manager of this. He didn’t even bother to come over and look at the work that I had concerns about. He called them and instructed them to take it down and start again. Both sections were replaced. The second time, there was still cracking in the mud and the Sheetrock began to sag. Plus the minor cosmetic work that crew had been repairing in the adjacent room looked awful. I demanded a new crew. The Sheetrock was taken down once again and replaced. After the mudding had been completed, you could still see the seems running the entire 23 foot length on both sides of one of the two 2x23ft sections. I had mentioned to the project manager and the contractor manager that it would need to be removed again but they decided to keep adding mud to try and “blend it in”. After three weeks of this, it still hasn’t been done right. The contractor manager even told me I was right when I had said it would need to be taken down again. But “they have come to far and weren’t going to remove it”. The work in the adjacent room is still sloppy looking and the crew had left a huge mess everywhere. Including compound or paint on two rugs and paint on the back of one of our brand new couches. I have over 40 pictures of the mess that was left behind. Flooring also had to be replaced upstairs and that is starting to lift. The project managers boss’s reasoning is that “it’s hard to find people right now”. So common sense tells me if you can’t hire professionals to do the work, maybe you shouldn’t contract out the work. On top of that, the project manager refuses to talk to me now.
Desired outcome: Full Refund
Employee sent by Servpro
Hi,
Reaching out to company about an Employee from Servpro was sent to Lawrence General Hospital 1 General Street Lawrence Ma he arrived at 7:10p on 10/17/2022 to test water or demonstrate how to test the water unable to understand what he was asking stated he was called and needed to go to the Auditorium. South Louisville Servpro
This company is the most dishonest and underhanded company I have ever seen. They came to my property 4 different times before the job was complete, July 2nd, July 5th, July 19th, and July 20th. They stole from me. The company listed items that where damaged then kept my property without disposing of it. I know this for certain because as I pursued restitution, one of their offers was to return property that they had already claimed as damaged. I have filed a police report with LMPD as this is a crime. They damaged my property, after giving me an original list of items that where damaged and to be removed, I returned home from vacation to find all my belongings sitting out in my yard. They left my belongs sitting out in the weather for weeks then refused to compensated me for the items they damaged. Lastly, after seeking assistance, they provided none. I will end up in court pursuing restitution for the damage they did. I would not let this company within a mile of your property, you will regret that decision terribly. Absolutely the worst company and worst experience of my life!
Desired outcome: I have made very reasonable offers for compensation. At this point I believe I am left in a position to file a lawsuit against the company. I have also filed a police report for the theft of my property with the Louisville 3rd Division.
Vanquish
I am filing this report against serv pro

We had a flood in the kitchen the end of June 2022 they came to dry it out and ripped up the floor. Serv pro was in and out for the next week and a half after everything was dry. They sprayed a chemical antimicrobial on the floor a product called vanquish. They said this is very safe his exact words where ( it's so safe you can drink it). I asked multiple times is it ok for my dog to go in the kitchen or should I gate her out. They said wait 15 minutes. I waited until the next day. I was feeding our 8 pound Yorkie. She dropped a piece of food on the floor and licked it up. She became very sick after that. I rushed her to the ER vet she died in my car. I called serv pro to get the name of the chemical it was vanquish. I called pet poison control. They said it was toxic even when dry. I called Serv pro back with that information. Then I downloaded the safety data sheet of vanquish. I will attach it. All they had to say was it's an unfortunate coincidence. Please look into this. Our dog is dead. And in my opinion she was poisoned by this stuff. This stuff isn't safe according to the data safety sheet. Serv pro doesn't care at all . The woman I spoke with from serv pro. Her name is Leslie siegler.
Thank you
Jill Gorski.
Desired outcome: Price of my Yorkie 3,000 dollars and her cremation
Water damage dry out.
In April 2012, Servpro of Spokane, came in to dry out water damage. After drying for 2 weeks, they came in turned the units off and left. After 2 weeks I contacted them to see when they would remove the equipment as I had carpet people coming.
After a year we noticed mold, our insurance ask that I contact Servpro to do a mold test. Which mold was found. When asked what they would do, they said they could "fog" the walls at $1700. I contacted ServeMaster, who said they would check it out, pulled the baseboard and found mold. Took out 2 feet of drywall that had mold. At cost of $1100. I contacted Servpro corp headquarter, who said that because each Servpro in independently owned they could not do anything.
Servpro produced a document that they said I refused tear out, yet I only say when I complained. And it doesn't say I refused, it states "drywall and framing is drying no need for tear out."
There is no customer in Servpro Spokane Customer Service.
Desired outcome: It would be nice to have them pay for the mold test $408 the tear out at $1100 and rebuild at $400.
Poor service and communication
Called ServPro for water damage in late December last year. They promised to dry and repair the damage area. So, I agreed to let them to remove my stuffs and cut more drywall. But they ignored any communication after dried for a week and left my house with terrible condition with opened cieling. They don't even mention "The Project was completed" as I thought there will more work to do. Nothing was repair and I had to get someone else to redo everything. They just send an invoice after few months when they can't money from insurance.
Poor service for home restoration and only want to talk to you when they need money from you.
An apartment
I rent an apartment and back in the winter a pipe in an apartment above me froze and busted. The water flowed down through the lighting fixture into my apartment flooding kitchen and living room. Owner called ServPro and they came and set up 5 large fans using my elect. outlets to dry out my place. They kept them on 24hrs a day for 5 days. When I got my elect. bill it was about 100$ higher than norm. Called them and they said they would need proof so got a copy of elec. bill for last 12 mons. and sent it to them. They said they would allow 70$. I refused. Not only was my bill higher but since most of the kitchen floor was cover with fans we couldn't cook and had to order take out or eat out. For 5 days we could not entertain anyone couldn't sleep good due to the noise and had to walk around the fans which cover most of the floors. I feel I should be paid back for the elec. and eating out and the lost sleep. I have tried several time to settle with them but now they ignore my texts.
Desired outcome: I feel I should be refunded 200 dollars for elect. bill lost of sleep and the cost of not being able to use my apartment.
