Sharaf DG unethical behavior and poor customer service

Hi,

I d like to bring your attention for what happened with me in the store today.

The salesman just let me buy the Macbook AIr product and he did not give any information regarding the product. The night after buying the product I opened it and got an arabic keyboard in that case of course i'm not Arabic so I cannot understand the keyboard.
I went back to the store the day after I purchased it Once I asked to replace the product with english keyboard they denied to exchange it and I asked for a refund because there is no chance in changing the product they asked for 15% deduction for my side.
Please advice and take action before I start to take another way.
This is not expected from trusted store like Sharaf Dg.

Sharaf DG sharp refrigerator

I upset regarding the delivery service of sharaf dg city center bahrain brance, they told me to deliver last thursday, if not coming last thursday it will be saturday. now I called them, they answer me to be deliver tomorrow sunday. I really hate waiting cause I purchazed that ref because its very urgent. and this this branch keep me waiting, I try to called them many times but nobody answer, one lady anwer my called and told me to give the number of appliances section but no more call back. very bad very very bad. I want to refund😡

Sharaf DG lenovo ideapad 320 laptop / order ref no w915279

I am extremly dissapointed with your awful level of customer service i have experienced with this order i have placed online on the 20th of August for this laptop.

I trusted your brand and the reputation of the company to place this order, from UK but you have let me down big time as i purchased this item as a gift for my cousin in UAE.

After contacting your company several times
I was told the item will be delivered on 27th, instead i received an email on the 27th to say that the order has been cancelled without any reason after 7 days and taking the full payment.

Can the management look into this as a matter of urgency and get this item delivered as promised.

Sharaf DG hp pavilion laptop

I purchased an HP Pavilion laptop (serial number 5CD720CDR5) from the Ibn Batuta store of Sharaf DG on August 21, 2017, including an extended warranty of 1 year - I was advised this includes a replaceable warranty. Upon device setup, I noticed the booting and shut down time was unusually long (to the tune of 2 minutes in most cases), however attributed this to perhaps initial setup and installation of windows update etc. and decided to wait a few days before I took it back.

As the device performance did not improve over time, I took the laptop back to the store on 26th August (yesterday), and was advised by the Customer service representative that the problem will be diagnosed by the in-house technician. I was introduced to Mr. Shahzaid who promptly assisted me by performing a system reset and re-installation of Windows. As there was no noticeable improvement after this procedure, I suggested that he may compare the baseline against a display product with the exact same specifications, which he did and acknowledged that there is substantial difference in booting time compared to the performance of the display unit.

Customer Service at Sharaf DG then advised me that per company procedure, they would need to send the product to their technical team to identify the cause of the error. At this point I objected, saying that I have nothing to do with the cause of the error, since the error itself is obvious to all. I was then introduced to Mr. Sharmeed Hashim who argued that a) nobody in the store is qualified to identify whether there is any problem with the device, and b) if there is a problem it may be in the software, in which case the company is not liable to provide a replacement. I argued back saying there is no software installed other than the Operating System which is built-in with the product. Mr. Naveen Khatri was introduced here and he completely refused to acknowledge that the store has anything to do with the warranty - he repeatedly said that the product has to be tested by the service center, sine I may have visited Internet sites with malware etc, and maybe that is causing a problem, and once it is tested accurately by their authorized technicians only then the product may be replaced, but only if they are able to identify the cause as a hardware defect, not a software error. He even openly humiliated me by saying this verbatim - "which part of the world do you live in? Don't you know the regulations of the UAE?" This is grossly unacceptable and we demand an explanation from Sharaf DG Management, and request an immediate replacement of the faulty product.

I do not believe that the rules of the country that I live in with my family will allow this gross misconduct. As I am a simple resident of the country, I request you to advise me of my consumer rights. Regardless of the price of the product, I see no reason why a retailer can simply sell a product, market additional warranty by guaranteeing peace of mind, and then shy away from their responsibility when it comes to playing their part. I have travelled to several countries and have made purchases of considerable amounts, but have not faced any issues with retailer responsibilities. Not only that, the store management has tried to humiliate me in public which I believe no one has the right to.

Sharaf DG very bad service

Sharaf DG customer care, I bought a window AC unit with extended warranty and while it was under warranty it stopped working. You took the AC from us and gave me a word to return it in 48 hours. It's been 7 days now in the Dubai summer and you have been very poor in responding or returning the calls and emails. Your customer care ladies Roopa, Roselle and few others keep me on hold for long and keep saying we are following up. I called the service provider you are dealing with and they said there is still no approval from sharaf DG. Such a well known establishment and such poor and inefficient customer service!

Sharaf DG lenovo laptop

I buy one Lenovo laptop from Sharaf DG but you guys cheated. If something is displayed on your shop in sale you should make sure that brand or specific product is working properly.. first laptop which you gave me it had battery problem. You guys changed that laptop because you knew it's not working properly. The second laptop which you gave me it's keyboard is not working properly.. I again give you guys back and yesterday they gave me that laptop back. But it's keyboard is still not working.. you guys cheated my 4k it's ok but for sure next time I will not shop from Sharaf DG for sure.. you guys are nightmare thief..

Sharaf DG haier a/c

Dear Concern

Its with a great pain i'm writing this mail. I have brought a Haier air conditioner from Sharaf DG on 29 March 2017, after few months, the cooling has decreased. I have called the call center and informed them. One representative from Haier visited and told the AC is ok, but the outdoor unit needs to relocate. After that, few days later a technician came again, instead of relocating, he again just suggested to reposition the outdoor unit and left. I told a person already came and inspected and told the same. Then he promised to come next day, but he brought with him technicians who don't have proper visa and had some other person's id. So, my building security didn't allow him to come in because of impersonating. After that, despite many phone calls to your call centers and technician, nobody appeared till now. I'm totally disappointed with their service and support. I don't wish to continue with them. Please replace this AC with some other brand who can provide better service and support. This is not what I am expecting from a sovereign company, who has been here in UAE for long years. I have small children staying with me, and in this hot climate, its very difficult to survive. Please please consider my humble request, and action it as soon as possible.

Sharaf DG product I am complaining about my playstation 4

9 months ago for my 17th Birthday my parents bought me and a PS4. I have not been able to play my PS4 for the past 3 months as it won't let me into the PS4 itself. The reason why it won't let me in is because I am behind on the software updates. I have asked PlayStation and they have been unhelpful so I am asking if I can get an replacement PS4? MOE

Sharaf DG lack of support service to install newly bought router

I bought a DLink Router DIR 879 from the Sharaf DG store in IBN Battuta. When I was buying it, I requested the Sales person that I would need support to get it configured and install it at my residence. I also put in an additional request to see if one of their Technicians can help me to install 3 IP Cameras through the Router and Wifi connection. The Staff seemed positive and hence I went and bought the Router. Now I have already call the Sharaf DG helpline twice to come and fix the Router and IP Camera at my place. However I have received no assistance or a call till date. its around a week now.

Sharaf DG staff attitude

Hi sir,

I d like to bring your attention for what happened with me in the store today.

The sales is presented wrong information for vacume and let me to bought it and after 2 days I got right information from ace store sales about the product.
Once I asked to return the product after 2 days from date of purchase for wrong information he denied and said I need box for refund and I don't have it for huge size.
Please advice and take action before I start to take another way.
This is not expected from trusted store like Sharaf Dg.

Sharaf DG dis respectful behaviour of people working in sharaf dj (delma mall, abu dhabi)

Dear concerned person,
This is is to inform you that on monday (5th july, 2017), I went for shopping in saraf dj (Delma mall). I regularly go to saraf dj every year before going on vacation and do the shopping for around 3-4k dhs.
Sir this time when I went on 5th, I face the most bitter moment with saraf dj and decided to never go back to any of this complaint outlet. After doing the shopping when I gave the credit card for the payment to the cashier (Ms jessica/phillipino lady) she was very rude, as I hold a standard chartered credit card (Indian) and the receipt showed capture card, she just gave me the option that that she has to take the card or cut the card into two. As I also work in hospitality industry I have seen many times such kind of situation, but the way she handled the situation made me feel disgusting. I called the bank and they also said that capture card doesn't mean someone has to tear the card, actually no one has the right because it is my card and I will deal with the bank, she could have just taken the payment with my another card but she made me feel like I have done something very wrong. The store manager also was very unhelpful, saying what she did was correct. That was not at all expected from rich a reputed store to which I was a loyal customer. If there is a card problem, it's my and banks problem and the way she told that she just have the option of cutting my card, what kind of hospitality is this? It could have been handled in a much better way. It was so disrespectful attitude towards the customer, as I was coming for vacation I can go the bank and get a new card as the card was issued from india, but what if I was not coming for vacation, because the card will be re issued from india only. I upset customer will make u loose 100 customers that's what I believe as I also manage a restaurant which comes under hospitality same like you. I just hope such embarrassing moments will not be faced by any other customers in front of everyone, and I hope that the necessary action will be taken against the employees who was so disrespectful. Later I got a call from a relation ship manager of sharaf dj (Mr ali) apologising for the incident but what was the store manager of delma mall doing/he didn't know how to handle the situation and he was just saying his staff (Philippino lady is correct)
I have no other words left to tell you my grievance towards the store I was so loyal to, I don't know if u will take action against the people who were wrong, but I would never step in sharaf dj anymore including my friends, I hope your staff will learn at least the basic way of handling a situation, instead of just destroying the customer's card.

Sharaf DG iphone 7 (red)

They offer me to get monthly payments in 24 months and they promise me to back the money in the credits card within 3 days . Apparently almost 2 weeks noting happen and the processing fee is very expensive.. I agree to extend my warranty because I am happy to get back my money in withi 3 days.. How will back the customer if the service is not happen because of your promises.. (Sharaf DG in Battuta)

Sharaf DG hp pc all in one

Brought this product from dcc sharaf dg in april 2017 and having extended warrenty (paid aed 199 extra) till april 2018. however pc stopped working in 1 year 3 years wher it was under warrenty. we have given it to them to check on 16th june 2017 and after a week I got a call saying that mother board corrosion and need replacement costs aed 850 and it was due to water or oil spill. which is not covered under warrenty. tried many ways to convince that there is no possibility of it but still returned unrepaired. yesterday taken to a service centre in burdubai and without opening it the technician told me that the ram may be got defect and while opening it was true and replaced it paying only 240 aed including the service and pc is back to normal. highly disappointed due to this issue for not providing us support for being 10 years old customer.

Sharaf DG defective tv

Dear Sir/Madame,
I am writing this letter requesting your consideration of my below grievance and your kind assistance in the resolution of the same.
My Name is Mohamed Elmadbouly, Flight Purser in Emirates Airline,
My grievance pertaining to the malfunctioning of a television set and the refusal by its dealer to repair/replace the same irrespective of the same being under warranty.
I had purchased an LG TV Model # 65UH770V from Sharaf DG as a part of 98, 000 AED promotion with The BMW Car. The purchase had been made under the name of my wife Nermine Elgamal Phone # [protected].
The Delivery Note created by Al Sayegh Brother Trading LLC with LPO number 007543/2017 on March 20th 2017. The guarantee/warranty on the products extends to a period of one year
Subsequent to the purchase and on the date of the delivery note mentioned above, a representative from the delivery team had called to inform us that the delivery of the said TV would be done on the same date.
My wife had informed him that, on account of work schedules, we would not be able to be present at home and that should he insist, he could deliver the TV at our home, , as our helper at home would accept the delivery. However, we had clearly indicated to him to not install it since we were due to travel and had intended to find a space for the TV upon replacing the old TV, following our return.
The person who delivered the TV had neither opened the box nor tested the TV upon delivery. He had however, forced our helper to sign on a note stating that the TV had been in Good condition without even unpacking it and ensuring that it had been working.
Following my return from abroad on April 1st, I had noted, upon installation, that there was a major defect in TV Screen in consequence whereof, a proper image was not being generated on screen.
Immediately thereupon, I had packed the TV and taken it back to Sharaf DG - Mirdif city center branch, from where we had purchased the same. The manager there had re-directed us to the supplier Al Sayegh Brother Trading LLC in Sharjah Industrial Area.
Upon arrival there at around 5:00 pm, I had met with two persons Mr. Zahid and Mr. Monjed (Arabic speaking ), who refused to take back the TV; stating, quite impolitely, that a defect in the screen was not covered under warranty.
I had tried, in vain, to explain, both in English as well as in Arabic, that I had found the screen to be defective immediately upon opening and installation. However, much to my shock, disbelief and mental agony, Mr. Monjed had quite discourteously, attempted to attribute the fault on me despite it being obvious that no single scratch or signs of damage were visible on the screen.
The said representatives had not only refused to replace my TV but had also refused to provide me with any proof of the TV having been handed over to them for escalation of my grievance to the higher authorities at Al Sayegh Brother Trading LLC and the examination by an expert into the reasons for the fault.
It is capable of clear perception that there was a manufacturing defect in the TV which, neither the dealer Sharaf DG nor the supplier Al Sayegh Brother Trading LLC had shown any inclination to repair or replace despite an obligation to the said effect being clearly incumbent on them, both jointly and severally.
Consequently, both the dealer Sharaf DG as well as the supplier Al Sayegh Brother Trading LLC stand in breach of the terms of purchase and of the Warranty and are further guilty of gross negligence and deficiency of service.
For reasons of the lackadaisal approach of the dealer and the supplier and their scant respect shown to the purchaser and myself, I have sustained loss and damages are assessed at AED 10000

In the circumstances I believe that it would only be fair to expect the full refund of the Purchase Price of AED 10, 000/- that I had paid for the said TV or the replacement of the defective TV with a new one.

I have been informed of the efforts undertaken through the reader’s forum for the resolution of similar issues and hence I would really be grateful to Gulf News for its assistance in the resolution of my grievance.

Sharaf DG mobile

Dear all

Today June 3 .. I visited to buy a mobile huawei p10 plus even I ask the sales guy who even he was ready to explain for my request understand the features . I ask I need mobile with dual sim and good memory or extra sd slot he. Just two mobile and never turn around to explain me about the product because he was really busy in discussion about in between the team for an entertainment...as customer I really felt bad of their attitude more over I ask to security for suggestion box to write same time... worst sales man or sales team sharaf Dg mega mall branch... I wish to say before they were really good to explain or to inform even to suggest a product accordingly to over need.. now this is my third time I experienced the same and made me to write .. I went down to axiom I purchased the same who got a good team to explaine...

Sharaf DG iphone 7

i was a really big costumer of sharaf DG, i always buy stuff from there but it was the first time i get to use the guarantee, my iPhone 7 stopped working because splash of water got into it, which that supposed to be okay because iPhone 7 is( water resistant), i gave my phone to them after they deleted my icloud and took my phone to the company and it took them more than week, after that they call me and say that the company refuse to fix it because of the amount of water that got into the phone! fist of all there must be a problem with the phone because that amount of water are not suppose to go thru the phone, when the phone get damage and i have a guarantee they have to fix it or offer me a new one at least, not to refuse to fix it, its not my problem that the company dose not fix phones with this situation, and if that situation doesn't contain the guarantee i should be notified by them before they sell it to me, i was really shocked and dissapointed by this big company, and i will never ever deal with this company again that would be the last time, and i will also warn all of my friends and my 4k followers on Instagram, and i will switch to other company that commit to what they offer from guarantee.

Sharaf DG salesperson mr. sharan

Mr. Sharan is a sales executive in electronics dept he is very very rude>

I have given him a Companys cheque and not a personal cheque but he told me he will not be able to deliver till cheque is cleared.

I was OK with that. He also told me that he will call me ones the cheque is cleared but I never received any call from his side and I was always following with them customer service representative told me that the cheque is cleared but Sharon told me cheque is not cleared. He told me first cheque got credited and again it got Debited. Which can never happen as it is a companys cheque he was just playing with me.

After 2 days I again called Sharaff and Spoken with Nitin as Sharan was playing with me he also checked the cheque was cleared but there was no call which I received for delivery.

Rude and pathetic Sales executive especially SHARAN in OMAN AVENUE MALL MUSCAT

Sharaf DG delivery and installation of 2 a. c. split units

My name is Abdul Aziz phone number [protected] I have purchased 2 a.c. units on Thursday and was promised that they will deliver and install today Sunday the 28th of May, I was surprised to know that the delivery guys are different then the installation guys and that they would not be able to install the units today. This is not acceptable as I bought the products after I was promised by the sales team that the delivery and installation will happen on the same day and In the afternoon, otherwise I wouldn't have bought the units

Sharaf DG unethical behaviour

I went to Sharaf DG Galleria mall to purchase TV which recommended from my friend before i purchase anything I ask first if there is international warranty and if i can bring it to the Philippines im asking also about the power supply if can use also in my country and Merchandiser answer me Yes its International Warranty that i can bring it also in the Philippines there is no problem in power supply its the same supply in my country. The TV delivered into my house without testing coz the delivery Person they don't want to test it cop late already. I didn't open my TV cop I have to bring it to the Philippines with me. When I try to switch on the TV power ON is not working. When I came back I made my complain in sheriff store but they don't care.

Sharaf DG samsung international battery back

I was sailing onThe royal Caribbean ship Vision of the Seas. While in Dock in port zayed in Abu Dhabi I visited the port terminal shop and purchased a Samsung International Battery pack at the terminal shop on 1April2017. This unit has only worked for a few weeks. Please send address details so that I may return this product for repair. I am extremely disappointed with the performance of this item. I have contacted Samsung in the UK but they inform me this item must be returned to the retailer. Unfortunately I paid this item in cash so do not have creditcard record. I await your instructions for return.
