A class action suit is being filed against sls. Any one that have a loan immediately contact your lender, or previous lender and request a copy of your loan. Check your signatures, make sure your file such as signatures or promissory notes, are not altered. Ask your previous lender, who owns your loan. If you are a victim of fraud immediately contact authorities and file a complaint. Make sure a tila audit is conducted on your loan. Share copies of the audit report with someone you can trust. If you are a victim of fraud file a compliant with the fbi to investigate.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The first loan is with Aurora, still not got the modification. Homecomings financial owns the 2nd loan now I am receiving letters from SLS for the debt. is this possible?
I am not surprised to hear this, because servicers keep making it hard for homeowners to get a modification. They will string it along, lose paperwork, and keep you further behind to foreclose.
yes it is possible if you are getting letters from SLS they most likely sold the debt, and now trying to collect on it.

SLS is only hired to make your situation worse from previous servicers/banks, they will pretend to care. I'm a victim of several entities but SLS is getting paid off to steal your property, flip and create a title that look legit since it wasn't true title prior on record.
Some of the biggest banks that were involved in the financial crisis still committing fraud, illegal foreclosures, back dating title through servicers. They transferred my property after filing complaint against JP Morgan Chase (months after case dismissed because JP Morgan Chase admits no wrong doing in almost every case ever filed. Yet, Chase created fake document (assignment in property records and put into a so called trust with The Bank of New York Mellon. These entities are escaping liability by transferring to servicing companies such as SLS and The Bank of New York Mellon that get paid lots of $$$ to take over loan but Chase is operating all behind the scenes as they did the P.O.A after denying all wrong doings (months after case dismissed then transferred loan to SLS. We know for fact that SLS never had all true records nor history of loan while waiting of loan modification and many letters stating they were researching to resolve before SLS was in the picture. SLS never had any true account records or what was going on prior with account. They admitted on audio recordings that looked like I have not made payment as JP Morgan Chase (Chase neglected and put on hold for years sending my letters stating investigating and researching to resolve) only foreclosure but didn't report as foreclosure for their records for SLS...SLS reported Abandoned or Acquisition for taxes. How Corrupt and how are they in business or any of these huge banks...they pay fines and continue to steal from innocent victims and families.
SLS is getting paid by the big banks to take over your loan and cause you more damage. They will not work with you nor do they properly have all true records to help you resolve a loan modification that went on for me since [protected] until SLS hired an agent to break in while I was offered Cash for Keys (program to try to get you to sign a contract and get cash to get out of your property). Instead one party broke in and kept the cash offered $5000. to get out while in litigation. I received two offers Oct and Nov. Two different parties stating they own it. I was locked out and property illegal take over and confirmed over 5 times by Sheriff Dept - No Writ was execute, issued or posted...I had no missing payments during a loan modification and money laundering was going on without any notice to customers. Missing several payments yet from 2009 paid by Western Union and a bank EMC Mortgage that JP Morgan Chase took over and made part of their family within their branch within.
The bank took payments and did not apply all. Received one check after my case dismissed in 2017 which was from 2010 made to EMC Mortgage. EMC directed me to make payments by Western Union with initial loan modification qualified but never resolved. Western Union lawsuit settlement (Tennille VS Western Union). Check proves missing payment during loan modification that took over 2.5 yrs then threatened repeatedly with foreclosure from [protected] until SLS hired agent to take over property and while in litigation in fed Court...Corrupt. I never could even enjoy property with being stocked with vehicles night and day parking and watching property when a good time to break in.
Record all your conversations with these entities and servicers...this is a must. They state they record you when calling but then electronic stored information is not available when you file motion and win that motion for these parties to have to provide. Every bank and servicer states they are recording and should have this available for your loan. SLS and other servicers that placed people into these loan modifications from hell (preyed on hardships) making your life the worse nightmare you could even imagine and they report you delinquent while beginning loan modification and until it's resolved, which over 10 yrs they reported me delinquent ruining my complete credit while waiting between all parties involved.
Servicers such as SLS will act like they are working with you and say they received all your documentation then lose your documents, or state they did not receive and make you start over and over...hoping you give up or fail providing something for the excuse to cause default and more hardship.
Illegal Evictions are also doing illegal transfers to cover up who owns the property. Check your county property records get copies of master list of records in order. My property once had blank spaces then filled in with new file records and back dating title to act like JP Morgan Chase and The Bank of New York Mellon owned when in fact falsifying documents and transfers being recorded while in the Hands of SLS that was hired servicers. I hired private investigators (former police officer and audit & reports where loan really was and who's getting paid). Original investor was Wells Fargo (never endorsed the note to prior parties getting involved many years later).
Documents, computer notes, electronic stored information was all being altered and removed/deleted while in litigation. Once was, no longer available or changed.
Wells Fargo is involved also with mortgage documents that have forgery signatures by Linda Green (all on same property). From 2008 through 2016 I continued to get run around, neglect, delay, repeat over and over...These parties never had true title and they knew they couldn't take the property and reproduced documents to cover, but we have all the originals and property searches by legal offices that are in on the game getting paid by these huge entities.
People have to stand up, fight don't walk away! Report to FTC, Attorney General, Comptroller of Currency who's suppose to regulate these big banks that are too big to fail...sooner or later another crash will happen. Flipping the house 3 times before someone actually moved in property that was stolen and all less then 1 yr. Many are involved and organized crime. Who really owns your home/property? Banks are not filing all assignments but they do have to show who owns it. Servicing companies performing default title. FRAUD, FAKE FAlSIFYING. Misleading customer intentionally to take advantage of you, so they can get there bonus and profit more, sell higher price for next customer after slight remodel.
I was in federal court fighting and much while records being altered, removed and deleted by Chase (records that once were available disappeared, changed, no dates etc) all while in federal court with suddenly appearing endorsements. Chase stated not responsible but created the Power of Attorney days before transferring loan to SLS. SLS hired an realtor agent to break into property without a Writ (illegal eviction) then acted like property was abandoned but really another acquisition date with Wells Fargo (original investor but NOTE never endorsed either).
I waited from original parties Southstar Funding (ceases and shut down for mortgage fraud in the state of GA) Then loan was being serviced by EMC Mortgage which never completed any loan modification, then sold to JP Morgan Chase but no assignment ever recorded until over 4.5 yrs later which violated the law of the trust. The loan was not in the trust (Chase controlled) but had The Bank of New York Mellon pick up a the sheriff sale to claim title, then created all the records they needed to make look legit. Google Illegal evictions, Settlements for JP Morgan Chase, Wrongful foreclosures by The Bank of New York Mellon...SLS is receiving your loan because there is a plan to take your property after reading many complaints stating SLS says they didn't receive my payment, or late (this is the game)...the bank may not own your loan and may be why SLS is so rude, they are not going to really resolve just like other servicers that neglect, delay, mislead for Greed!
People have to fight, stand up to corruption. Go to your legislative and help change the law so the banks have to record where every transfer of your property goes (just as a car title from party a to party b etc). Some of the biggest banks are getting away with major crime. Many don't know why they are in these situation as the banks are just committing other crimes connected from bail out financial crisis (banks received free government money to resolve yet they offer Cash for Keys then while negotiating break in to take over property)...they were suppose to resolve millions of loans but instead flipping homes creating default title after stealing homes from innocent victims hard working citizens all over the country. SLS Will act like you were late or show missing payments when in fact it is the banks that have received your payments but not all being applied or making late to cause of default to take your home.
There is too many people going through same problems that are out of control. Check every payment to see if applied, keep all your records, record phone conversations of any direction they lead inform you to do. Call to see if received any special request they make...you will need to show the Misleading Unfair practice and should be shut down.
There was $586 million dollar settlement that Western Union suppose to pay back to customers. How many were making there mortgage payments like us? Money laundering going on also with payments being made by Western Union to the banks (EMC Mortgage who JP Morgan Chase then bought into as part of a family to help save Bear Stearns (which was fraud prior to the financial crisis). It's all a joke and criminal activity still going on...more money in foreclosure so they keep your payments, don't apply all payments, never sent notice to pick up refunds from rejected payments, servicers stating your late and adding late fees when your not late, then create default title and file assignment over 4 years later. They are preying on thousands of homeowners...take your payments, take your property, flip again create documents they need to look legit, then get more for property after they remodel slightly and jack up the property price for that same property. More money in foreclosures, the banks are not losing on paper when they act like property was abandoned. Even some police ignored my complaints and firefighter is involved with realtors flipping game. Not one officer showed up to property after making calls after working late and two shifts daily. I waited for officer to be a witness but no one on duty showed up. Not one officer from two phone calls made after being locked out of home...realtor lock, garage code changed and all without a writ..illegal and criminal activity! and back dated title was produced/changed. We had more evidence that continued to get dismissed in order to argue case. Banks are being protected and law must change so every transfer is recorded like a car title. Investors are connected to the big banks, they call it a birdie to fly by a property that the bank is trying to foreclosure (illegally or wrongfully) then investor may purchase or does a pre-foreclosure but was not listed as foreclose and flips to others. Wells Fargo had loan originally and then years later put back in their name with individual person name while I was fighting The Bank of New York Mellon who was working for CHASE and SLS. Wells Fargo is sending loans also to SLS.
Where is our US district attorneys, FBI and our local legislative to stop the organized crime? People have lost homes, families over divorces due to financial ruins, some have committed suicide and lost there jobs trying to fight.
These huge entities know you can't work a regular 8 to 5 or 9 to 5 job and fight the banks and file lawsuits...We did after being self employed and working around the clock...where are the real attorneys that will stand up to the courts/judges and the laws that are not all being followed legally. Fail modification because they will place huge bogus balloon payments on back of your loan to screw you more and keep you stuck.

SLS became new servicer after filing complaint against JP Morgan Chase/Emc Mortgage, The Bank of New York Mellon and all the fraud and chain of title, unfair practice, misleading customers, money laundering connected to some of the parties involved etc.
During 2015 after case in fed court against JP Morgan Chase denied having any wrong doing and stated I sued wrong entity. 3 months later the loan is sold/transferred to Specialized Loan Servicing in CO 2015. Chase created the P.O.A. only 3 days prior to transfer SLS to proceed with foreclosure which I got these records after transfer from Chase.
SLS had nothing in regards to account records or knowledge of 6 loan modifications completed prior (qualified after the first modification)
One party stated they owned (Fake trust that Chase was controlling all along) only placed the name The Bank of New York Mellon which did not comply with the actual trust law which states that loan must be placed inside the trust within 90 days of the closing date (that was 2005).
While SLS placed a sheriff sale for The Bank of New York Mellon (this was illegal) The loan was sold to another party and investor while in fed court (illegal transfers being done and parties in court with didn't ever have true title nor were they the ones that still had loan. Audio recordings from all the parties we hold confirming illegal transfers and where loan was, original investor and current investor changing behind the scenes. Continued to be transferred to escape liability. Most homeowners would never know or even think of all this, until your in it or happens to you.
The loan was back to Wells Fargo and confirmed by SLS and Wells F during 2016 and during litigation. Many of Chase reps stated they never scene an account like mine, notes deleted which had major years of history, Reps at Chase confirmed that missing dates, doesn't make sense and very strange and weird, not one rep but several each time I called. Something was going on and being altered and deleted during litigation and I won motion for getting Electronic Stored Information but judges dismissed/denied most evidence and bank/attorneys never provided one single document that was other then what we already had. We held all original documents and Chase created fake payment prior to SLS transfer to make look like a made a recent payment which I did not because had no loan, was on hold for years by Chase after they continued to reject payments or take payments but never applied all payments made by Western Union (made to EMC Mortgage in Tx) Chase took over this entity owned by Bear Stearns who was in huge financial trouble. Documents, title lost, endorsed. I still need attorneys for class action lawsuit with SLS and other connected entities that broke into property and realtor investors involved getting paid and connected to SLS and Chase/The Bank of New York Mellon and Wells Fargo.
We all have proof and need to stand up! We know for fact they sold and had new investor plus new investor was not listed on cash for keys offered by SLS and Investor UNLISTED PARTY. The Bank of New York Mellon never had loan nor had records until complaint filed, using my evidence to produce records. I had to file complaint against The Bank of New York Mellon because JP Morgan Chase denied all and placed "BONYM" name on assignment for trust but confirmed by private investigator and audit & research that was performed by two other investigators, The Bank of New York Mellon never had the loan nor part of the trust, Chase just escaping liability and still was behind the big picture operating all.
Chase also kept the name EMC Mortgage on every documents and loan modification even though JP Morgan Chase stated in 2009 that they were taking over the loan (letter exists yet and filed to prove fraud)
EMC Mortgage transfers loan to JP Morgan Chase and stated EMC will be part of the family (EMC headquarters still exists in Lewisville TX). EMC does exists but escaping much liability as departments for the state stating EMC no longer in business, Western Union stated EMC no longer involved with Money transfers...geez wonder why?
I had to have Department of Commerce look up EMC Mortgage and investigate to only realize they are in business in Lewisville TX as I had to inform them that's where a summons had to be filed and served to track them down.
The Original investor Southstar Funding that was confirmed ceased and shut down by the State of GA split company 50/50 and opened business under other names then shortly disappear, revoked or withdrawn after filing names with Sec of State. Chase pulled a piece of paper out of thin air and created the assignment...no other assignments were filed after original lender nor the original investor Wells Fargo which was never of record...yet both cases after five years were shut down, dismissed no matter how much evidence. Do you know it's been almost 12 years fighting to help others to be Aware of the Human DOGS that are the real threat of society.
Everyone tells me I'm like the Erin Brochovich of the Nat'l Big Bank Sh--! I was further in fed court without an attorney because several took my money didn't want to add name to case, paralegals took money for years and quit, filed appeal, and much more. Big Banks are defineately being protected and law is not protecting home owners. The courts/judges know major cases will be filed if they allow homeowners to win flooding the system. Too many have become victims and no one is doing anything from preventing the organized crime. It's horrible and lost more then my home, time lost, major stress, loss of sleep, credit ruined for years, loss of business production. This can happen to any one, not just someone with a hardship. SLS can just make it seem like your missing a payment or late repeatedly to cause a default and put you through hell. Look at the history, that's what they are getting away with.

Where are the homeowner's needs to realize is that if you sign a contract with a company that is the company you pay. is that company sells your loan to another company will that means that your loan was satisfied your contract is complete you have no contract therefore you're now dealing with a third party debt collector you hit him with the fdcpa. Sls bought our loan while we were in bankruptcy . They played all kinds of games with us. At one point they charged us thousands of extra dollars, right after the bankruptcy was over . They could not tell me what the charges were for, only that they came from the prior vendor and I would have to work it out with them. Problem is that couldn't be because I went into bankruptcy so all charges had to be included in the filing. Many phones calls later they said I had to pay it or they would be forced to start proceeding on forclosure. The regular payments were being made fine. Finally got a hold of someone who said it looked like they were additional charges that accumulated after the amount submitted for the bankruptcy amount from the prior lender. All crap and highly illegal. Paid it because I had no choice... And it tarnished my credit. Then later that year... My property taxes were setup so I paid them. They went in and paid them . I had paid them. Woo now they wanted extra money for house payments and the huge amount extra down to get those few months ahead... Because they for some weird reason went in and paid my property taxes. Had I not paid them already... It wouldn't have been a big deal but I did. And the state was really slow paying it back. And they would only pay back the last one who paid in. But I was still required to pay sl s the money until the state got it all squared away. So right after bankruptcy they messed with me twi e in less than a year for well over a thousand dollars each time. And let's talk about during bankruptcy . They would not allow us to make payments online because of presumed construed collection issues. But... Their phones were limited times and they had a while lot of issues with them actually working. Especially on the 15th. It was a rare month when you didn't have to call back multiple times . And because you were making a phone payment, you were charged a fee. Why not mail it? In bankruptcy ... You can't be late. If you are late they have the right to start foreclosing proceedings again. Not worth the risk of the payment getting lost.

The law firm that handled the 2016 loan modification class action suit against SLS is Tyco & Zavareei. Two contact points were Kristin Safari [protected]) and Lorenzo Cellini [protected]). I have sent the company an email to discuss a class action lawsuit against SLS for those of us who were sold to SLS and are being screwed, even though we did not go through an SLS loan modification. I am too a victim of SLS when I contacted the BBB the only thing that SLS talked about was how many times I was behind in my mortgage payments. My issue with them yes is my mortgage but also the insurance payments they are holding for me to fix up my home. I too want to be involved with going after SLS.

SLS Received loan after filing first case against JPMC was dismissed like many of their cases. JPMC has paid over 3 billion dollars in settlements and lawsuits but still able to operate as one of the largest banks in the country? If we operated small business like this, we would be forced to be shut down, thrown in jail, and pay major fines & penalties...they just pay and continue with same games of legalized crime, getting away with loop holes (banks not filing all transfers behind the scene, messed up laws protecting the huge entities)
SLS stole and broke in illegally hiring an agent who offered $5000. to be out of my property. If I was in the wrong after many years of threats, stalked from their hide n seek games & schemes, then why not execute, issue and post a Writ by a sheriff verses claiming abandoned property after busting their every move. Real estate agent who broke in states on site: no foreclosure BUT placed his wife's name on utilities while we were still making payments for all utilities. Sheriff confirmed NO Writ. They kept the $5000. offered by unknown NEW investor and SLS.
The Property was already flipped silently and under another name and another new bank while in litigation with other entities. We were suppose to have 6 months to redeem property by law to no avail, no total amount due by law firm or SLS, phone calls to both SLS and Attorney firm that works with banks ignored until they did sheriff sale. Hired private investigators (3 different agencies) to confirm all we knew was true and property stolen by imposters!
It's many parties/entities involved (organized orchestra) including Law firm that publishes notice of foreclosure for defendants. Parties were following case, used our documents, evidence to cover up and create back dating transfers and records to escape liability. Please Watch movie on YouTube or Nexflex "99Homes", the "Big Short" (all same parties and practices plus Western Union money laundering with bank stopping payments and then never notify customers to pick up refunds). Robosigners are falisfied fraud, forgery and fake signatures on mortgage documents...Linda Green exposed [protected] in GA connected to our property also with fake signature from previous owners mortgage docs found. Fraud from day one...
All based on true stories from [protected] period still going on today...Media is owned by many of the involved banks so they don't share some of the biggest news for us citizens in United States and across the country as we continue to be scammed and placed into worse nightmares. If they truly own your property with proof of the Note never endorsed, assignment filed and fabricated transfers & falsified docs over 4.5 yrs after closing date...Entities involved also defrauded investors because the loan was legally not placed in the so called trust in the time frame deadline by law.

Go to your property records and get a print out of all your property records, assignment, transfer dates/master list of documents filed. This is public records! Make sure you are the correct owner and who filed they own property/investors etc... Request QWR (qualified written request) and get complete history of your mortgage loan. Get history of all payment transactions to protect YOU and your Family as no one else does anything except takes your information and your money in many cases. Sanctioned attorneys in MN & WI that have fought for homeowners. Attorneys hard to find to take cases that expose the truth. It's horrible how many attorneys took our money, changed their tone after getting involved, backed out or spooked by the system. Cases across the country where some Judges are realizing the scheme, fraud of fabricated documents, transfers, even falsified affidavits.
You would never know all this unless you are placed in the scheme all beginning with a Loan modification after Identity Theft:(. Pretender Lenders (Southstar Funding in GA near the Robosigner Location in GA of Linda Green)...Google and do your research. You will be very surprised of the endless stories, articles. Write fraud, illegal and wrongful foreclosure after any of the big national banks names that were bailed out...we pay those taxes also remind you.
Several of the largest banks in our country are sending their risky loans or loans that were neglected, on hold sitting and never resolved to SLS.
Many homeowners are being placed into a schemes with SLS stating they are missing payment, late payment and fees on back end that should not be happening...even reversing payments from customers after making on time to cause customer default to place foreclosure. This happened by another big bank/servicing company prior to SLS getting our loan. SLS is doing the exact same unfair practices, illegal practices (complaints filed all over states and online) and working with behind the scene silent investor (who's your real investor that states they own your property). DO YOU KNOW WHO OWNS YOUR PROPERTY - Double Check Property Records get print out, call your lender/bank and have them confirm, record them and request history of payments/charges, note and investor.
After years of trying to get help and work out between several entities, JPMC transfers loan again never resolving or having all true account balance, changing internal account records in Electronic Stored Information that was once of record deleted/removed or altered including investor name that was changed while in litigation, how is this possible or legal? Covering up to escape liability in many cases across the country and falsifying records to courts, only some judges realizing or reversing cases for Plaintiffs, system is protecting huge entities and pensions, retirement and looking other way, using legal technicalities, rules & procedures with or without attorney.
Some of the biggest banks through out state and federal courts have created fabricated documents back dating transfers to cover up title (hide n seek games). Also, attorneys and entities getting access to court documents filed with evidence they will come up with records after they get access to your evidence through the court process. They will only work with you if you put pressure on and report to every agency. Unfair practice & corruption, involved with illegal & wrongful foreclosures. Do not wait for help...SLS has one focus, to help take from homeowners and put you in worse case scenario. Orchestrated teams working together to cover and profit...more $$$ in foreclosures then keeping same homeowner in property, the sad truth! File Consumer Affairs, the Comptroller of Currency, CFPB, Attorney General, State Senators Office...Stay on this, do not make easy for them to steal away your rights and commit fraud or neglect your complaints. Class Actions do not save homes! They benefit the courts and very little goes to homeowner. For the people trying to get modifications, or who are in foreclosure if don't get help will lose homes.

You should file suit yourself. Look up Hoarce v LaSalle Bank proves the whole mortgage was bogus. It was an investment contract with the homeowner being a 3rd party beneficial to the pooling and servicing Agreement.

After that was up we continued paying our mortgage. On Friday, we were served a Notice of Seizure (foreclosure notice from the Sheriff's office). After contacting the office she rudely said the we have not paid since July. I have receipts for the last six months, we paid. On our statement it says we have a suspense balance of $1, 715.00, but we haven't paid. Whatever! So, We have reached out to a local attorney but these creeps need to be stopped. This is our primary and only residence and have to much equity in this house to lose it.
Hello Nick...We just received today Motion for Relief From Automatic Stay from Movant Specialized Loan Servicing LLC. Our Chapter 13 Petition Ordered the Automatic Stay for 60 Months. SLS is moving under Section362 of the Bankruptcy Code... Basically they are saying that we have not paid the post-payments in 5 months... They also indicated that payments are strictly voluntary. And we submitted them a copy of what we were paying Wells Fargo and ordered by the courts to pay the amount under Chapter 13 because the mortgage being raised. We have our bank statements to prove payments. We were told that the payments are going toward the arrearage. There was not mention of it going to the post-payments. They were applying our post-payments to the arrearage. We did not give them authorization to do that. I am putting together our answer that has to be submitted to the courts by Dec. 10...I am so going to challenge this company because when you call they acknowledge that they are in fact a debt collector. As far as I am concerned, they are not the Original Holders of the Note. How did it get from Wells Fargo to a debt collector? The Creditor SLS is not a holder of the Note and has not power to sale. They even turned our Modification down twice! Now the Escrow has nearly doubled. When I faxed them the copy of our Plan with the Judges Order they said that they never received it and that I have to refax all of that information so that they can adjust the monthly payments. They went from $897. $1258. WTF...They will not take our home...Not under my watch...They want a fight...They are going to get one! By the way...What the hell is a Suspense balance? Oh and when I called an inquired about the increase they told me to ignore it! So this information will be part of my Exhibits when we go to court. They set a court date for Dec. 18...We need time to formulate our strategy!

I want to be part of the Class action lawsuit against SLS they are disgusting criminals and have charged me an equivalent of $36, 000 a year for not receiving a notice of my home owners insurance policy change. They have no right to do this. When I called to complain Angela stated I was never going to get my money back. I yelled at their collection agent and he got a restraining order against me. He was calling me every hour from the first of the month demanding I make my mortgage payment immeditely or he would take my house away. Last night my mortgage went up $950 without any notice at all. I could not get anyone on the phone. These people are criminals they threaten do not go by any rules or laws and are nasty. They call me a debtor when I call.. I said I am a homeowner they said you are a debtor we own your home. I am so disgusted with them but I do not want to lose my house. I am a single mother with 3 children. Hi have had nothing but problems with them with homeowners insurance. Said i don't have any after sending them proof 3 times it was paid in full.Wanted to charge me over 2000 dollars for a 800 dollar policy.Keeps sending me notices threatening me with collection.Never sent any letters asking for policy just sent threatening letters.Keep getting different person ever time I call say they have not proof of policy. Never contacted my insurance agent or company.Does not seem like a very honest companyThey bought my loan from another bank.

I have been trying to get SLS to approve a short sale on my home since December 2012. As of today, it is still being considered. My buyer has been hanging on for 9 months now and has agreed to every term they throw at him. I just can't get them to finalize the sale. I was told by my attorney that SLS stands to make more money from foreclosure than from a short sale and if they stall long enough, they can foreclose. I just want the process over with. SLS are crooks and incompetent. They do no good for their customers.

Same here. And there is no record on my land records or SEC records of Bank of America being involved. Yet, for 5 years I paid my mortgage to them. And the federal judge claims they are not a debt collector.
Im also in the same boat with SLS since they took over my loan from Bank of America. Not to mention the problems Ive had with BofA when I had a fire. First BofA dragged their feet to get an approved contractor all while I was without a home, then a year later after a contractor was approved they sell my account to SLS and that's where everything got screwed. The fire was back in March 2010, I have yet to be able to move back in, and SLS still wants payments for an inhabitable house. This company is a rip off company that hides behind their name. When you call you will always get several different stories from different representatives. This is my second modification and I owe more after making my second payment and all of a sudden I was flooded with all types of fees. No one can explain it to me. I was always under the impression that when you do a re modification all fees are forgive or placed toward the end of the loan. Supposedly they did a re modification based off my spouses income and my mortgage went from 1226.00 to 947.00 a month @ his salary of 10.50 an hr. They gave me a 5.5 from 7.0 but I was already in the hole when making my first payment and out of 947.00 only 108.00 went to balance and 627.00 went to interest what's wrong with this picture. I make my payments before the due date on the first of every month since getting the re modification and still I have delinquent charges. I was place on a temporary payment plan for three months to show the stability on being able to maintain the steadiness of my ongoing mortgage. I have a 35 years mortgage now and each month when getting a statement I am further behind. Since January my mortgage hasn't really moved. I am very frustrated and they have sent us a letter stating we are at high risk because I pay the monthly payment only and not all those other fees, this has caused my mortgage not to move. I feel so stressed in this mortgage and that there's nobody to speak with.

SLS is giving us the run a round and saying that we are almost in foreclosure. WHAT CAN I DO? Please HELP! We have faxed them over and over again, they continue to let us sit, they even took out equity out of our home to pay for our house taxes BUT we had already paid the house taxes 30 days in advance (we pay our taxes every year on time). They paid us back but they keep saying we owe an outrageous amount of money. Can you please suggest next steps?
We too are having extreme problems with SLS-We need a class action lawsuit-=what they are doing is fruad-they have not applied our payments sent certified (because of problems them claiming they don't recieve and charging huge late fees)-and because they haven't applied received payments, they are putting us in foreclosure! Do all of the folks have equity in their home that are complaining here. I believe it is a scam to try to gain homes that have equity and take them over. I routinely look for posts to answer in hopes that it will not only bring optimism to those homeowners and borrowers in distress but also some basic information to assist in fighting the banks like Citi, Bank of America, Chase and Wells Fargo that are "too big to fail" but yet don't appreciate the bailout that we provided in their time of need. The debt collectors like SPS, SLS, GreenTree, Ocwen and Nationstar are simply just ### but they can be beat at their own game too just like the big banks can be defeated.
It pains me that you have fallen victim to the unfair, deceptive and abusive practices of SLS but I commend you for joining forces to fight SLS...too often homeowners do not fight for their consumer and constitutional rights! With that said, you have overlooked a key aspect to your fight, which is taking it outside of SLS to government agencies that will actually fight for your rights on your behalf by simply submitting a complaint after a proper QWR; you do have rights and I would be more than happy to educate you as to how to fight for your rights. Alicia, the Making Home Affordable (MHA) program needs to do just that...make your mortgage loan affordable and if SLS did not then you need to challenge the modification as "not affordable" and "not keeping in line with the program". Given current interest rates at around 4% for a 30-year fixed, SLS should be able to dramatically lower your payments and stretch out your term to make it affordable. As for the question about late fees being waived, you are right and here is a link for you to challenge it via HUD: http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/program_offices/housing/sfh/nsc/faqlm.
Angeliab1969 and suesls, it is a violation of your consumer rights under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act to not posts mortgage payments in a timely manner as well as to escalate foreclosure if there are any issues on the loan as stated by the CFPB website: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/newsroom/consumer-financial-protection-bureau-rules-establish-strong-protections-for-homeowners-facing-foreclosure/. You do have rights and in order to assert those rights you will need to put your complaints in writing via a QWR to include asking specific questions that you would like SLS to answer (payment posting, uncertain fees, increased escrow, etc); they are prohibited by Federal law from escalating any foreclosure activity until the QWR is answered.

Hi my name is Sabrina Willis and I too need any information that anyone has in order to be part of this class action suit. I have a appointment with a attorney next week to go over my original loan papers. My loan was a F h a loan. I never refinanced or took out a 2nd on my home. I realized something was wrong when I requested a loan Mod. I sent the packet and all requested docs to them 3 times. The kept saying they never received my docs. When I suggested that I over night the packet back to ensure that it's recorded that they received them, I was told no, because they could not ensure what department the docs would be sent to? What? In the mean time, they'd ex quickly to forclouser on my home.
This is Fraud, and they need to be stoped! So many people do nothing because they think they can't . It's down right horrible. I was even told that they could not tell me who owns my loan.( are u kidding me) so there for I don't know who the current lender is. my mother has lived in her home since 1966 she refinanced in 2005 with ameriquest mortgage in ala to get cash for needed repairs to her home. since that time ameriquest sold to another company who let specialized loan servicing handle her loan. we have been through hell and high water with this company. you cant get straight answers from them about anything pertaining to your loan. they tried to foreclose twice on the home illegally and made the excuse it was our fault. she recently fell behind in payments due to a stroke and added medical bills. and they harrassed her everyday for the money either by phone or mail, sent inspectors to her home and made her such a nervous wreck she started having seizures, they finally worked out a loan modification with her and now they have repealed that because they forced placed an escrow account on her loan and put priniciple and interest payments on the loan in the escrow account and then refused to refund her monies. i worked from 2012 to 2015 to get her refund and even then they didnt refund the whole amount claimed they needed to keep an amount for a cushion to pay insurance and taxes. this company's employees do not know their jobs and will not tell the truth if anyone files a lawsuit please contact me. deborahnganga@yahoo.com

SLS needs to be sued. It is breaking numerous federal laws, especially the new servicing standards, Dodd-Frank and the FDCPA. They did the same thing to me: sent people out to harass me posing as inspectors. Acting in bad faith with regard to application for loan modification and foreclosure alternatives. I am also one of the borrowers whose loan was with B of A, which then suddenly transferred the servicing to SLS. They also do not timely respond to qualified written requests under RESPA.
People: We need to unite and file a class action. Someone: find an attorney. There is definitely a case.
SLS got my mortgage few months ago from BB&T...and they have been doing things very shady... such us contacting my insurance company by mail to tell them I am in foreclosure and that they will change insurance to close my acct. with them...when I am NOT in foreclosure...THANK god my agent called me and warned me of this going on...I can only think they were planing to make up some penalties for not having insurance coverage or try to get me off guard to get my house... When you call them to inquire them about charges that make no sense they are extremely rude and give not explanation of where are those extra fees coming from...I was supposed to pay $590 after my modification with BB&T and they have me paying $790 monthly due to all these extra fees and give no explanation on why this is?

We had completed applications to Keep Your Home California in January and had to file an application to SLS to process the help Keep Your Home California was able to give. KYHC approved to make our mortgage payment in March but because of the SLS delays, requiring documents and letter already provided initially in our application, , it delayed KYHC help for 3 month . Long story short we finally received an offer from SLS in June. But not only was their process lengthy they also billed KYHC the wrong amount showing all payments pending correction threatening to foreclosure and us calling to find out the issue and asking why the payments were being held in a suspense account from July to now. We've request for SLS to correct the derogatory Credit Report and take out any inspection fees unwarranted. We are hoping there is a class action lawsuit we can be added to. Please let me know how we can be a part of the lawsuit.
