I applied to work there October 6th, had the interview about 3 days later. She hired me and said I needed to do take on my account and call her when I was done. I called her the next day and she said she needed to finish one thing and would call me. She texted me like 5 days later saying I needed to come in with my information. I went, she said she would call me in 3 hours to finish setting everything up. 3 days later, she finally texted me saying "I need you to come in to finish your application or are u not going to work there's only about two weeks left anyhow but that's up to u". I went in again to finish it and something wasn't working so she said she'd call me Later that day to finish setting it up. She still hasn't texted or called me. And it's now October 20th.

I bought a costume within 24 hours trying to return it because it was the wrong size and the spirit store would not even do an even exchange because I didn't have my receipt. It's a $60 costume and I drive an hour to get to this location! All I wanted was an adult size not child size. Wouldn't budge at all. I just spent $100 the day before and now i'm spending another hundred dollars and i'm out $40 plus my gas and time for a manager that wouldn't even help or try to resolve the situation I paid cash money and this should not be happening I have four children and don't have extra money for stupidreceipt issue
Spirit employees arent allowed to do returns without receipts . You arent god and entitled to whatever you want. It's your fault you forgot it or lost it not theirs. Employees are not horrible employees cause they simple follow their policies and rules
lied to about items and availability of them.
After multiple conversation with them, they assured that the items we ordered were available and would be here in time. Then today, with no time to find a replacement, they called and said they didn't have the product. The following behavior is deception, and highly unprofessional. Being forthcoming and honesty would have saved us the hardship that will be endured due to their deception.

Heather Simpson aka Heather West who is a manager at your Colonial Park store was found harassing me online. This is the store I shop at, well did... she has threatened me on numerous occasions telling me to come see her, using very awful language towards me that caused me to have people warn me not to come to your place of business. Included I will give a few examples of some of the things this woman has said. People know she works at this store and represents this store and company. I myself work in management and customer service and would never go onto to someone's social media to bash someone publicly for a reaction. I might actually have to go to the police about this incident considering all the threats. Numerous people have come forward to me about how they do not go to this specific store to stay away from her considering she has known to be an adult bully to others. I don't know what can be done but her social media interactions are causing people to stay away from her and in doing so, lose profits for a home, busy store. Thank you, just thought you should know how your manager behaves as an adult. Thank you kindly.

What has become of this company? They used to be a good source for anything Halloween but in the past two seasons, they have gone down hill FAST. The quality of the products they sell amounts to nothing more than crap. All you need to do is go to utube, search in Spirit and you'll get posts by store managers posting videos of props that have already broken. It sure seems like their management feels they have us all locked in. NOT! I've tried to leave negative feedback at their website and it is always deleted! I hope their sales fall to the point where they get the message and improve things. As it stands right now, they have gotten all the money out of me that they going to get.

So, I ordered an expensive animatronic online on the 30th, got my conformation number everything was great. On the 1st I got my shipping notification with tracking number. Checked it a couple of days later to see when it would arrive and it said it still was pending pickup. So, I called which btw is a Hassel getting anyone on the phone. I was told my order was not in stock and they didn't know when or if it would be. I was never emailed saying it wasn't in stock just charged for something they don't even have and now have to wait until who knows when to have my money refunded. I will never deal with this place again!

It is now 10/4 and it has not been and I can not get any informaton on when it will be shipped. When I try and contact spirit they DO NOT care at all, ive been given anwers that do not help me at all and the staff at spirit halloween are rude and awful! 6 foot animatronic
So, We are having a Halloween Party on Friday night. I ordered this 6 foot Animatronic butler. I paid $72 for overnight shipping. I ordered it on Tuesday. Should arrive Wednesday since I paid the ridiculous amount of $72 overnight shipping. Nothing arrived. I finally got an email saying it will turn up on Thursday. Never arrived. Now just received an email saying it will arrive on Friday before 8pm. The party starts at 5pm. I am so so very upset as why bother paying for overnight shipping if it doesn't ship overnight. I spend over an hour on hold to Spirit today. OVER AN HOUR! before I realised no one is going to opick up... EVER! I pressed 1 for a call back - no call back! I called again and again and again pressed 1 NO CALL BACK! I tried support online chat which reads offline. I realised again no one is ever going to be on the online chat. It doesnt matter what time of day it is it always read off line. SO now I am writing this email. which i'm sure no one will answer! Worst customer service ever!

Because I am considered a "VIP" customer, I got a large discount to buy an a $249 animatronic Towering Reaper in May of 2019 for $151. I put it away and go it out on 9/27 to assemble it. I realized then that it was too large for the space I had for it. I took it to Spirit Halloween since they are now open (they were not in April) and they said the SKU number was not in the system so they could not help me. This is new and unopened until they opened it at the store to check to see it was all there. After about a 45 min. wait, they said I would get some things I wanted up to $150. They did not have what I wanted, so they said I would have to handle it on line. There is no vehicle on line for me to return an item. It says they want 100% satisfaction and to just take it to the store. Since this was an oversized item, I had already paid additional shipping for it. I have called headquarters multiple times and left messages for a call back and explained the problem. No one calls. I have tried "live chat". When I type in my question, it now says chat is not available. I have sent multiple emails. All I want to do is get store credit to get something I can use rather than be out over $150 for something I can't use. The customer service is horrible and you can't get in touch with anyone to talk about it.

Ordered product in store on line. It was a sunday so they said it would not process until monday... Tuesday I went into their chat portal and she said it would ship within 24 hours. Friday came around and my order still said processing. Called them and demanded overnight shipping. They said they would call me on saturday... To confirm that it shipped. No call but got an email. Stating that it was sent expedited delivery free of charge. Called in on monday because it still said it was processing online. They said it shipped and I would receive it the following monday... Expedited? I demanded that they send a second one out nda. After going through 2 managers they finally agreed... Now i'm waiting to see if they try to charge me again and if I even get the order.

Today i went to the spirit store in the pacifuic commons shopping center in Fremont, CA. I had the worst experience i will not shop spirit Halloween stores again. I went to purchase my items the Girl at the register Jocelyn was very rude after she ran my card and gave me my receipt i was putting my card and receipt in my purse. When i look up i figured she was going to put my items in a bag she shoved the items toward me and said why are you still standing here you can go...i couldn't believe she said that, then she said do u want a bag or something why are you standing there ...then I told her well are you going to put the stuff in a bag? And you don't have to be so rude ...i said I also wanted to talk to the manager ...she said she was the manager and to leave her store. I then said i wanted to return all my items and that I wouldn't want to buy anything from there. Then a guy came behind the counter i asked him who the manager was he said he was the manager. So i told him what happened and he did nothing that girl Jocelyn kept talking over him so I asked him for a corporate number so i could call and complain he said he didn't have one... service is bad there ...I'm glad i returned my items and i will tell people i know not to shop there ...and that girl also made my son upset ...he didn't get the costume and he herd the way she was talking to me.
the overall store
I swear I travel all over checking out Spirit stores and this is the worse one I have ever seen. It's not ever October and 75 percent of the animation decor don't even work. Nothing is plug in on the ship, the aquarium is also a total mess. I always look forward to this store but I guess I'll be hitting the closest Halloween Express for this years haul.. The staff are just sitting around acting like it's a party. Who ever is the manager at this location should be fired..

I do not know who hired the woman named Stephanie at the Port Charlotte store. This woman has Never been on time once. She doesn't know how to run the register, she doesn't know how to do a schedule, it is on a day to day basis. She will tell employees not to come in on a certain day and then ask why they did not show up or ask why they are there. The employees are afraid to work alone with this person because they are afraid that she is going to frame them for something. Stephanie is a very good talker. She has stated in front of customers that men are all useless and I hate this word, Retarded. That makes me sick. She is very biased against men. Sounds like a law suit to me. I don't know how many people have to call or write to you about this before anything is done. I will guarantee, I will be the last one if something is NOT done. I have no other choice than to seek counsel.

Your gm of your store have made advances to my wife and he is a married man this is unacceptable, about two weeks ago she fell and broke both of her feet at your harrisonburg location. When she should have been in the Waynesboro area he is picking her up and taken her to other area to work then out for dinner and drinks afterwards. This is causing problems for my family. I am having to pay for her doctor visit why wasn't a claim turned in I don't trust him Meaning Tyson your store GM . This is not how you represent a company. I am going to seek. Legal action.
