I ordered food on the 14/02/2019 via a call, i waited and waited for my food to no avail then i gave the shop a call only for them to tell me that my order was cancelled due to load shedding...they could have called me to inform that my order was cancelled.
The following day i called in again to make the same order i made the previous day. I called @ 16:00, 2 hours later my delivery is still not here.how long does steers take to deliver, Steers Welkom that is...this is an appalling service.
steers original burger and chips
Good day,
Today, I bought a steers original meal from the Springfield branch.
First, the fillet from the burger was not a fillet. It was a slice of chicken thinner than that of a slice of bread. And it was half the size or the burger bun.
Secondly, the chips was refried. It was disgusting.
Will not be visiting that branch again.
Very disappointed!

I called to order I was on the way to mount ayliff so I called they didn't do my order till I was there had to remind them what was my order no cutlery no salt no nothing then on the way when I opened my order it was so disgusting the rib beggers and the double rack was only 1 rack instead of double rack and the beggars has only begga and tomato with sauce its not my first time ordering there but this time was bad
steers dainfern square
Date of incident : 28/12/2018
I visited Steers Dainfern square during my lunch time (10:30), I was the only customer and ordered 2 Chicken Jalapeno and cheese burger meals. It was ready in 10 minutes, I got back to work only to find a BEEF version of the burgers I had ordered. I called them back, informed them of the error and asked that they please rectify. An hour and 10minutes later the driver arrives with 2 COLD Chicken Jalepeno and cheese burgers. The chicken was hard, dry and burnt on the one side. It tasted terrible and was drenched in sauce. I call back again, ask for the manager who comes to the phone listens to my story and then gives the phone to someone else so that I can repeat my story. The second manager apologizes, offers a new meal and by now I have had it with exchanging and rather opt for the refund. 2 hours later, I call to follow up on where the money is? Now I'm told that they cannot refund my money for their less than appetizing food without them seeing it first. After an exchange of words with the "Second Manager" I am now waiting for the owner to call me. This is terrible service! What happened to taking pride in the food that you serve?
unhelpful store manager
I wanted to order 2 steers deals online, one which had a dellivery option and one which did not. So I called customer care to find out if they cannot assist by placing the 2 together so they can both be delivered since one of the orders already had delivery option. The customer care agent advised me to speak to the store manager for this arrangement. I called Steers Norwood ********** and spoke to Fred, the store manager. This guy was very rude and told me that he " does not know anything " about how delivery works. When I asked to speak to someone who knows how to help with this or to a manager he started screaming saying he is the manager and he has to deal with ubereats, mcd, and moaned about how busy they are. When I told him that he wasnt helping he told me that I am also useless...really shocking dis service. After that conversation I even lost my apetite :(
macon and cheese combo and jalapeno and cheese chicken burger and the cheesy chips
The above products were bought from Steers verulam litchie farm.(new store). I purchased a combo of the burger n got the cheesy chips as well. The beef burgers was cold. The chicken fillet was cold also( obviously cooked in advance) not even flame grilled no char marks. No cheese as the product name says. Jalapeno nibs and the burger was out the box when I got home which is a 5min drive ( and the burger couldn't have come out the box in that 5min) as for the cheesy chips! Was just a drizzle of sauce which doesn't even cover all the chipsand is just a burger box with chips and for the price of R34.90 I feel robbed. I could have bought half a bag of potatoes n added the cheese myself! I went to Steers out of convenience since I finished work late. I called the store n asked for a manager n was told that he is not available. I left my name and no and is yet to receive a call from him (ebrahim)
providing food with bare hands
Good day
I just want to notify Steers head office about the way their staff are working without any hand gloves when providing food to customers.
This happens regularly when we visit Steers Vredendal Mall.
When we first order ice cream cones, the lady who is working with the cash is also providing the ice creams. After she put the cash in the till, she took the cones with that same bare hands, fill it up with ice cream put it in a carton cover and hand it over to us. We was disgusted because we all know how dirty money are...
The next time the same happens again and my sister spoke to another staff member their to take it up with their supervisor.
We visit Steers 2 week's ago again and nothing has changed. I asked the lady at the till if we can buy ice creams but the person providing this must please use gloves.
She gave the order to another staff member and asked her to put gloves on. We could have noticed that the lady providing the ice creams was not happy with us at all.
This past weekend we visit steers again. The lady at the till was this time also again in charge of the ice cream machine. I asked her if we can buy two ice creams and also asked her to put on gloves because we all know how dirty money and bare hands can be after scratching here or there...
After the lady assist us she remove the gloves just to help more people ordering ice cream cones. The one guy ordered an ice cream with a flake and I was disgusted to see that the same lady who is working with the money took not just the cone with her bare hand but also took the flake with her bare hands a few times to push it deeper in the ice cream. The person who is making the chips is also just using one glove and the chips were also touch by her other bare hand.
The same happens at Steers Somerset Mall where the people are also assisting clients with bare hands. We as the customers are disgusted in this way of doing and hope that you will become more strict with your rules about wearing hand protection when working with food. We don't want to "gril" when ordering food from Steers.

Well said i was just wondering if there was a complaint like this out there for Steers and this is defnitly not the only store but i think its all over and its not a secret.
Exactly happen the same with me Steers in Steers Phillip nell park so the ice cream story is ok with me she also takes the money and help at the Ice cream station but to put the cherry on the top...
Is when i see the guy diving in with his bare hands inside the burger removeing some pickels or something... i was so surprised but when i ask he step out and show me the disclaimer or something that state
"" our staff is working bare hands but clean their hand regurlaly" that is basically what it said and its in front of the store for all customers to see.
I do understand in some cases yes it can be done but this is like inside your burger all fingers diving onto the beef putty this can't be right but for them it seems to be Steer in the whole.
Ok this was my 2 cents i will still see the notice on there but Steers is not my first option for this festive season.

I bought the ribster burger today at steers in rondebosch. The burger was drenched in sauce so much that the roll was wet from all the sauce I had to throw it away couldn't eat the roll. Poor service from staff at steers very dissatisfied with the meal I bought. Please provide better service and food as the meals are not cheap. The poor service was very disappointing from cashier and staff and it was the first time its normally good.
piece of rubber found in lime milkshake
I bought a lime milkshake 7 November 2018 at 11h27 at a Steers branch in Kenilworth Centre and found a piece of rubber that probably belongs to the machine, which makes the milkshake, in my drink
This is so disgusting and unhygienic

Meal was ordered via the app at 19:01 on the 12/11/2018.
Meal was not delivered and at around 19:50 I was told that the meal was on the way.
At 20:33 I called again and was informed any minute now.
Just before 21:00 I called again and was informed that they will come back to me.
It's 21:20 and no one came back to me nor did I get the email.
I am a student without transportation so I have to go to bed without a meal.
This service is totally unacceptable.
All I wanted was a meal or the truth that I Won't get it. I could have ordered elsewhere.
This situation needs to be addressed and i will feedback on what actually happened and assurances that this will not happen again.
putting hot chillie sauce on our kids's brad packburger

I'm not really sure where to begin, but I were furious and very disappointed this afternoon. Driving back from our weekend away, we planned to stop at the Steers in Carolina on 11 November 2018 at 3o'clock. The children were very hungry and difficult but we promised them their favourite brad pack at Steers.
After our milkshakes couldn't be provided due to ? no stock we ordered our brad packs. Back in the vehicle the children couldn't wait to start eating. Unfortunately they started with the chips and about 10minutes later with the burger. The burger was burning so much that even me could not bare the burn. We discover that they have put hot chillie sauce on the kid's burgers burning their mouths what looked like blisters.
How on earth do you as a normal rightminded human being put chillie sauce on a kids food?
I phoned the outlet and ask them about the sauce, they just conveniently reply that they are sorry and that I must bring the order back, where as we are 20min away by that time.
All I want to know is what is the reason for putting such potent stuff on a minors food, and not on one but on two separate burgers!
incorrect delivery and poor customer service
This evening (Wednesday, 31 October 2018) I placed an order to the Greenstone branch for the online Wacky Wednesday special that comes with 4 burgers and 2 large chips for R149.90. I placed the order at 16:26 and the delivery arrived after 17:30, and after waiting for over an hour we accepted the delivery and paid and when we opened the bag there was only 2 chicken burgers and 2 large chips, so we were shorted of 2 beef burgers, we tried to catch the driver but he was already gone and so we proceeded to phone the Greenstone branch where we attempted to explain the situation and the woman who answered the phone couldn't understand what we were saying so she put us through to a manager and the call was cut off. After 15 minutes of trying to sort out the problem over the phone we then had to phone back and be put through to the manager again and finally we were told that it's going to take ANOTHER 30 min to send us the 2 beef burgers. It then took over the 30 mins that they said it would take. Our dinner has been ruined as we have had to wait for the other half of our order to be sent to us and I am disgusted and appalled at the lack of concern and customer service from the Greenstone Steers branch.
panda ribster meal promotion discontinued at certain steers
According to my knowledge Steers is a franchise and all Steers should render the same service. However on the 23.10.2018 I wanted to buy the panda ribster meal at Steers in Brackenfell Cape Town and was informed that the promotion ended 30.09.2018. I had to pay more for the mega ribster meal that replaced the panda ribster meal. Today 31.10.2018 I was with a colleague in Bothasig Cape Town. My colleague bought a panda ribster meal and when the cashier was asked why this promotion is still continuing at this shop the response was that it only continued at certain Steers.
Now why only at certain Steers is this promotion still running and not at all?
What criteria was use to conitnue the promotion only at certain Steers?

I have been a customer for a long time of the debonairs/steers in Durbanville.
tonight, October 8th @19:14 I have placed an online order, order#88.
The driver is NOT even worried about service. I have NEVER come across someone with an attitude like Roger.
He treated me like I am a beggar next to the street. An attitude and darn right rude.
As a former employee of the said company, I always had a smile and manners.

unethical behaviour, wrong order
Me and my wife we are two people who was fond about Steers for a very long time. Alwsys seported Steers where ever we stayed and always was our number one take away place to go get food. But after sunday at steers "..." we were treated in a very disrespectfull manner.
We ordered "..." and "..." for pick up over the phone. Order number 2 was our order number. Was for us and my kids... The person on phone even read out the order and the order number. Twice!
My wife went to collect the order. Gave us the wrong order. And even the icecream was given wrong. Gave us a order number "...". Said sorry for giving it the wrong way will charge us for what we asked for. When i saw this when she came home with it. I called them and said how can thy do this. Gave me a bad attitude. So i went there. Even got a worse attitude from two employees from steers. After telling me my wife is laying and she ordered that. By the person by the till. Another employee standing with hes arms folded with a bad attitude only said then. "Sorry i heard wrong on the order".
I was never treated like that by any take away shop ever. We never complain but the way thy treated us was DISRESPECTFULL AND WITH A ATTITUDE THAT WILL MAKE US NEVER GO TO ANY STEERS EVER AGAIN!
poor unprofessional service
Steers Braamfontein i put an order online at 19:40 and intended to offer my visitors. After an hour i made a follow up on the order and was told that the driver was on the way with the order. An hour later at 21:30 i called again and i was told that they can't find my order and later came with an excuse that they can't get hold of the driver who has the order. I asked for the manager and he was very unapologetic about this as its not their fault that they can't find the driver. Later at 22:30 i called again and now it was a female manager i spoke to who went on to say that they will call me back which they never dis. Im shocked at the level of unprofessionalism. A disgrace to the company and such calibre should not be working where they serve people.
cold breakfast chips
I intended to have Breakfast at the Steers Curie Ave Bloemfontein. I was served these oily burnt Chips . It came back the same after I complained. My Breakfast also came back cold. The staff was also cold and a bad attitude. I've addressed this at the Steers Customer care line a month ago but no response since. They probably having a lot of complaints I guess.

My name is sumayna safar I have ordered *3 cheese fries. I did not like the taste and the presentation of the chips. They were soggy and tasted like old oil. the cheese the cheese did not taste like cheese at all. I felt like I had wasted my money and my biggest worry is that I had never had this problem before with any of the steers food. hence I am making you aware in order to fix any of this problems if you can.
