Using my reward points with a new phone number
I have been a loyal customer with Straighttalk for over 10 years and loved the service. Within the last 3 weeks, the service has been trouble. I've called repeatedly with no real satisfying results.
On September 24th, I requested a refund but wanted to use my reward points to keep my phone active. The request was approved, and my reward points were used except for one significant problem. The phone number was ported over to another carrier before I could get a new number for the existing phone with straighttalk. I've called numerous times since this happened and also did online chats but to no avail.
I'm very disappointed with straighttalk for not letting me use my reward points on that same phone under a different number. At this point, I would like to personally talk to a representative or file a complaint that my reward points were eliminated from my phone before I could even use them. Why would this reputable company do something that isn't for the customers' best interest? I'm very dissatisfied at this point.

Customer service and data service
Purchased a 'bring your own phone" plan and switched service over to straight talk 4 days ago. First...the agent who transferred the service over didn't keep my husbands number like was requested FIRST thing before transferring. I was on the phone ALL DAY trying to get his number back.
Then we realized his internet was not working. Called back. Was put on hold multiple times. Was disconnected multiple times after waiting on hold for 30 min or more. Talked to at least 6-8 different agents OR MORE who all did the exact same text book "fix" that DID NOT WORK. Turn the phone off and back on.
We did that at least 20 times before they would finally decide we needed the corporate office and as soon as we were transferred, we got disconnected.
One person from the corporate office got the internet to work then he wasnt able to send or receive MMS messages. (Picture texts) So we had to call back again for the 7589th time and deal with the stupid automated BS that claimed to fix the problem. The MMS worked but then the internet would STOP WORKING... We went through this issue 3 different times. We are now on day 3 and spending hours of our time on the phone with people who cant speak english and cant fix the issue!
On day 4 we were P%$$#D. Told the agent that if we did not receive a call back from a REAL PERSON from the cooperate office ASAP we were done with Straight Talk and going back to our former carrier. Guess what..?
We got a call back from an automated service who yet AGAIN placed us on HOLD and we were disconnected AGAIN.
So long story short...we said F it and dropped Straight talk.
Service is horrible and customer service is WORSE.
The old saying couldnt be more accurate. "You get what you pay for"
Thank you for absolutely NOTHING straight talk other than wasting our valuable time and money. I will blast how horrible this service is from every social media platform I have and tell everyone about my VERY UNNECCESSARY experience we had with this business.
Poor Customer Service and I feel they have stolen my phone!!!!!
I bought a new phone (Moto 5g stylus) the beginning of August. Shortly after I acquired the phone, I tried to do the Android 12 OS upgrade and it froze my phone. I contacted Straight Talk through Chat and they advised me how to hard boot my phone - which did not work. I called the next day and after numerous attempts at Hard booting my phone (without success) they finally stated that they will exchange my phone with new one. Once I received the shipping label, I mailed it off. According to the tracking data, Straight talk received the phone on September 1st. I was told that I would receive the new phone with in 3-5 business days once they have received the old phone.
I contacted Straight Talk on 12th of September and was transferred 4 times, because it was above all of their pay grade and they didn't have the info and of course no one that I was transferred too could help me. I was also disconnected twice. I was not rude - did not cuss, maybe a little impatient and frustrated.
Today I contacted the automated help and was told that it had been shipped. I was not given a tracking number nor when I could expect delivery. So I went on Chat and was told that in fact they did not receive my old phone and because of this they have not sent out my new phone. I was told that the tracking # that I gave them is not valid (although I copied and pasted what I gave them, and it works for me). So, as I am writing this, I do not know how to get my phone nor get my money back. Oh, I also asked to speak to a supervisor to help sort this out and I was told there is no one around at this time.
Desired outcome: Either a new phone or my money back within a few days
I would like to speak to a supervisor that can really help me. I have already done the chat and spoke with people who are not able to help me. Please give me a phone # that I can actually speak with someone. I believe you have access to my email.
Unlimited service
After leaving a complaint here I was contacted by straight talk and said they would review it, that was a month ago and no word. Since I made my complaint and got my talk and text turned back on they have been throttling my mobile data ever since. Not sure why I am being punished for their inability to provide the service I paid for but this is unacceptable.
Desired outcome: An email from someone in charge of straight talk and trac phone explaining why they think it is okay to defraud customers and for straight talk to pay for me to switch service providers.

Customer service
I bought a cellphone from straight talk on 9/8/22. They shipped the package to me and I was supposed to receive it on 9/11/22 but it got stolen. Someone cut the box open, and taped it back up and left the box on my porch. I have been trying to contact someone in customer service with Straight Talk for two days and the phone always hangs up after I waited for 20 minutes on hold. I have called a total of 12 times and each time it is the same thing, it just disconnects. I just want to be able to speak to someone so I can find out what we can do about my stolen package. And I am not capable of getting this resolved.
Desired outcome: I want help filing a claim for my stolen phone.

Bad service and bad customer service
on [protected] i contacted straight talk concerning the dead zones of which my phone cuts off every time I travel through these areas.Jaria #511518 kept trying to tell me it was my phone ,i kept telling her my phone wasnt the issue. I asked for the corporate number she refused to give me the phone number for the Fla location. I feel this girl should lose her job due to lack of customer service. we need more towers in my area so we dont have to put up with droped calls.My question is this ,what is straight talk going to do to fix this issue.IM TIRED OF BAD RECEPTION AND DROPPED CALLS.PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE.

I was forced to leave Straight Talk
With a new SIMs card over the past 4 months my auto payment would be deducted from my account and I would be with out service for 4 to 5 days. I received a call from Miami, FL [protected] ext 6206 after I posted my troubles on FB, however I have never been able to get in contact with the caller even after leaving messages. In August at auto renewal again, customer No service could not assist me and would submit a ticket due to being outside of their scope. I called and had many text with customer No service with no support. Due to safety issues and business needs, I was forced to find a new carrier. I called customer No service today and was told "refunds are not provided after the number is ported from Straight Talk". That is funny after being told by customer no service when I asked, "What do I do? I need service will I need a new carrier? (keep in mind I was not upset at this point)" the customer no service agent stated, "Yes you do." I am asking for a refund for the 25 days out of August I did not have service and the refund department tells me, because you ported the number - No refund for you.
Desired outcome: No support from service, no support from agents and no service after payment, I am asking for a refund.

Phone service/ Customer service
On 9/11/22 I contacted customer service because my phone was not reading my sim card. After speaking with two people on two different calls. I was told I would need a new Sim Card. So I went out and bought another one (even though on 9/10/22 my service was working just fine). I got the new card and my phone still wasn't registering the calls. I Had to call from my Wife's phone. They told me that since I was having a device problem that I am still making payments on I would need to contact Apple because they are not able to replace apple products. They scheduled a call back on 9/11/22. They didn't call my wife's phone until 7:03 am on 7/12/22. I took my phone to be looked at by a servicer and there was nothing wrong with my phone. It is the Sim card itself.
on today 9/12/22 I called the 611 number 5 times. I was told that they would have to transfer me to a higher tier because after all their troubleshooting they can not assist me. Now when they transfer me it asks do we want to have the system save our place and have someone call back or wait on line. 3 times we chose to wait on the line and it hung up on me. Then once I chose to have the call returned and as soon as I entered the phone number and entered the pound sign. The phone hung up on me. It said someone would call us back in 2-3 minutes. Well, it is 11:30 pm Central time and we still have yet to get that phone call. We have not been able to use the phone for 2 days and I bought another sim card and spent 50 dollars when I should not have.
Oh, and on one of the phone calls my wife actually spoke to someone and for 12 minutes he would not transfer her. My wife recorded the call. He kept telling her no he wouldn't transfer her because he was trained to help with the call. My wife asked numerous times and she recorded the call. We have 3 phones through this company and were thinking of adding another but there is no way that I am doing that after this. I feel I need two months of free service because this is absolutely ridiculous.

Rip off
Straight talk got all my information in their system incorrect. I order their new Verizon SIM card now they said my iPhone XR was compatible. When I received it, it locked my phone up instantly. Had to call them from a different phone. Next thing I know my service isn’t available, my 4 digit pin not right and my iPhone can’t be used to any company because it’s locked by straight talk and they said my 4 digit pin to my debit didn’t match because it’s been 2 maybe 3 years since I used a debit card with them and I have a new card now. For some odd reason they don’t even have my email in their system anymore. Like what is really going on. Now I’m force to buy another phone because they locked a perfectly good phone up. This company needs to be canceled they are poorly educated people that can’t speak English to save a life.
Desired outcome: I want access to my iPhone so I can use it with whomever I want to.

They won’t unlock my phone
I own my phone, never bought it through straight talk, but they refuse to unlock it from their Carrier. I bought the BYOP YEARS ago. Decided to use the phone under a different Carrier but come to find out they have it locked. I’ve been calling sense Monday 9/5/22 to have it unlocked, got scammed out of money that they claim I never needed to do & the phone still isn’t unlocked.

They locked up my phone as well. I was going to transfer my number to a new company now they own the number so i said forget I’ll just get a new number with a different company. My phone is compatible to the other company but they locked my phone up. I bought this phone off line brand new and they locked me out of my phone. This company needs to be shut down.
Sim cloning
I’ve bought three new phones at Walmart. Each time I go to activate the phone it appears it’s activated, appears the new software update has taken hold but it hasn’t. Then I try to go to the website and it says my number isn’t a straight talk number I MUST call. Then I feel as if am I talking to Straight talk? I use someone else’s phone and alas no record of the previous calls. I put a SIM lock on my phone and put on my account must have PIN as well as the answer to a question… I pretend to call to find out what I need to do to unlock my sim and what happens? The person gives me the code without asking for the account pin or the answer to the question. Now my account pin has been changed their is a credit card on the account and three months of service has been paid for when this is a freaking prepaid account. I bought a 35$ pin card and now I can’t even get into the account I own. So now I’m on my way to file a police report because who is to say the credit card is not stolen. This is beyond my understanding

Customer care denied me access to a supervisor
just call straight talk in the Philippines the lady told me at least 7 different times my pin number was wrong on the 8th time she finally admits it was the correct number i asked to speak to a supervisor and she straight up told me NO many different times i asked to be transferred to a different call center she told me NO I'm sorry by the Philippines has the worst people I have ever spoke to.
Desired outcome: I WANT THE NUMBER TO A CALL CENTER IN AMERICA AND THAT YOU STOP TELLING PEOPLE YOU WONT TRANSFER THEM TO A SUPRVISOR
We having the same problem in America. Nobody at straight talk speak perfect English. They said my PIN number was wrong than turned my phone off and locked my iPhone up. I’m so mad I can sue them. Than they respond sorry for the inconvenience. Sorry my butt. If you get things right go to another phone company. My husband is buying me another phone right now. I’m going back to att. Where I know service is good and no bs.
Porting phone number away from straight talk
I purchased a new straight talk phone from walmart last week, and after botched attempts to activate the new phone and transfer my number to the new phone, both from straight talk's website and dealing with the nightmare known as their customer service, I gave up and returned the new phone to walmart. The next day, I spent multiple hours attempting to get my old phone reactivated and restored to my phone number, after multiple assurances that it would all be straightened out, invariably I would be placed on hold who knows how many times only to be disconnected, I gave up and told customer support that I would be finding a new cell phone provider and made arrangements for the necessary pin number to port the number away. Today, when attempting to port my phone number to my new provider, the new provider informed me that the straight talk account number (imei number) that I provided was rejected by straight talk as an incorrect number. I once again called straight talk today to try and ascertain the problem, only to be informed that my phone number was no longer attached to my account. After vehemently protesting, I was told "no worries, I will get you connected to the correct department to straighten this out", after placed on hold for about ten seconds and then disconnected. I have never dealt with this level of incompetence or straight out fraud from a company, I now face the prospect of losing my long held phone number because of their deceit/incompetence.

Cell phone
I am at my wits end with this. Its not so much as a complaint but a annoyance. I rely on my phone basically as a lifeline and I'd like it to work properly if I need to call for help. First issue has been for quite some time and I thought it might be something I was doing wrong but I was informed it was not. I could purchase my phone plan and at the time I had wifi at home but upon leaving home I had my data on. Alot of the time it was like I had no data at all and I could not get online at all. But I could still make a call, receive calls and text which didn't make sense. That was still happening all that time and now there is a new issue. I just bought a phone card $45.00. I can be online and a call come in and it will kick me off the internet and says I lost connection and I'm offline. As soon as the call ends it says connection was restored. I've never had this to happen before until now. I can be searching online for something and I get your offline and it's like I have no data at all. And what's weird when I get the message I can be actually on the phone talking as well. I just dont get it. I have been with Straight Talk for years and I want to continue to use it. This is the first issues over the last months and now this other mess. I rely on my cell phone to stay connected to family and especially my doctors. My health is horrible and I'd like to know I have a reliable phone and service if I need it. Are there any suggestions as to what might be going on? Well beside i may need a new phone. Sometimes that's hard to do on a disability budget. Any info would be of great help. Thanks for your time.

Customer service
So back at the end of July I received a SIM card that was compatible with my phone. I called customer service and spoke with a Stephanie employee number 51511 which is probably made up, and was told my phone was not compatible with the sim. I simply ask then why did I receive an email saying my phone was compatible and she tells me that it is an auto generation email. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told “No”. After two hours of going back and forth with “Stephanie “ she said hold on let me try something and she just deactivated my account. I lost out on over 2000 dollars and two good job offers.

My phone is not usable
I think you do not believe me about my phone, if tou want me to take the phone to a location for an inspection I will do this. Whatever resolves this problem I am in agreement to coooperate with you I can go to walmart or anywhere within reason. I want my number pulled from straight talk and transferred over to Spectrum Mobile where all my other services are: internet, cable and home phone.
July 28th I contacted straight talk to get a transfer Pin number to leave them and go to Spectrum Mobile. I was on hold for over and hour then hung up on. After three consecutive days of being on the phone with them, I was told my phone was locked and couldn't be transferred to anyone. I had no choice but to active another month of svc with them. Now today, a month later, I am trying to pull my number from them and what they are doing is sending multiple NTP numbers through their system so you don't know which one to use, this also locks the system out after three numbers are given so you have to wait another 24 hrs before requesting another TNP number.
Their customer service is the worst, with dropped calls and ppl who you don't understand at all.
This is wrong. I should not be forced to use their service because they have found a way to manipulate the system.

SAMSUNG S10 PHONE PURCHASED 1/2022
This phone had connection problems wgen i recieved it, jusy answering a call, so much static very hard to converse. Finally did get a tech that asked me to leave the phone ob and he will take care of this. That was a lot better after he did work on it.
Now i have no phone for going on for 3 weeks home screen was gone and phone was not usable, i have been on the phone uaing my pc. I have been asked so many questions same over and over, nothing to get the phone working. I am at the point that i want the phone replaced, because you have not qualified to fix the problem. Please get me something that works as a phone should work.
