The solar panels caused a leak on our roof, which caused our ceiling in our living room to cave in. After literally, sending e-mails to NY Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, local district council and the new media, They finally send someone out to do our roof and our ceiling. The contractor took off the solar panel, repaired the roof & ceiling, and reinstalled the solar panels. During this period for about two months, we had to be reimburse because the solar panels were covered up and were uninstalled for a period of time.
When time for reimbursement, we were informed from Sunpower that some panels are not working. Also, on their APP, it tells you that some panels are just not producing. Therefore, they have to send a technicians out to see what's really going on. This have been over two months. In the meantime, we are paying our regular utilities bill plus the loan payment (237). Therefore, out monthly utilities and loan payments comes $500 a month. This is not right. the solar panels supposed to help us with our utilities bill. This whole procedure has been a nightmare.
