I have been selling on Takealot since their market place inception.
I cannot explain how much money I have lost due to their utter and ongoing level of incompetence !
It has been the same over all these years- I send products in to fulfil orders already made by the customer and Take a lot receives my order and marks it "CLOSED FULLY RECEIVED"
Then, orders are cancelled and the reason given is "Stock query"
If I don't open a ticket then nothing will ever happen from their side !
I have to open a ticket for every single error they make (And they make many errors) and battle it out over months to get resolution !
I have reached the point whereby I spend 24 hours a week (Almost half my week) following up on unresolved matters and tickets that drag on for months !- Some tickets have dragged on over 1 year (Yes take a Lot thats over 12 months which is equal to 1 year)
I have arrived at the poiuijnt wehre I can no longer sustain trying to fix their errors and am losing money due to their errors.
This is just one type of problem I face with Take a lot.
There are other instances of:
1)Take a lot sending the totally incorrect product to a client (I pay for the retrun)
2)Getting my returns back take months and in some cases over 12 months
3Products returned broken in pieces not compensated for
4)Returns to be collected cannot be found (sending my couriers 3 times after being told its ready)
And so much more, all of this for 25% in fees from my revenue.
I am selling around 2 million rand per month and out of that Take a lot scoop up R500K ! You would think ther support for half a million rand a month would be top class but NO! their seller support is absolutely useless and the issues above make it not worth the risk.
Selling on take a lot is high Risk die to the facts listed above.
