I ordered a laptop bag - 27/8 - order [protected]
Item did not show out of stock, even showed available in CPT / JHB.
When I checked on my order on the app, I saw item cancelled. I phoned customer care and was told there were no stock that is why my order were cancelled. I went back on the item. Still no note that item is out of stock, according to customer care agent CPT has no stock ( why show available in CPT / JHB?)

I ordered from Takealot on 24/8/2018 and made payment on 27/8/2018. today 29/8/2018 I was informed that my order was not paid and my parcel was not delivered. I emailed proof of payment to them and my parcel will now only be delivered any day from tomorrow 30/8/2018 onwards. This is the worst and most humiliating service I have ever received from anybody. this was my last order ever from takealot. bring back Kalahari.com --- never had such bad service from them

I placed my first order for the item I wanted on the 14 of August - Takealot only notified me on the 23rd of August that my item is out of stock. I needed the item before the end of the month and that is why I ordered it on Takealot. I then ordered a similar item that was in stock on the 23rd - the same day it was cancelled. Today is the 27th and it has not even been shipped yet. The Estimated date of delivery is the 7th of September! This is ridiculous - I needed the item by the 1st of September. If they cancelled my order, they should be quick to send the next item I choose and prioritise it

Date of Incident: 15 August 2018.
I ordered a 3piece ottoman storage unit from Takealot on the 7th of August 2018, and paid for the order on the 9th of August 2018 due to an error on the PayFast app. After paying for the order i was informed that it would be delivered on the 14 August 2018. It did not arrive on the 14th and i called Takealot to find out where it was on the 15th of August in the morning. They informed that it would be delivered during the course of the day. The order arrived later on in the afternoon on the 15th of August but only one piece was delivered. I requested the delivery person to wait while i contacted Takealot to find out where the rest of the items were. The delivery person said he was not going to wait and left with the parcel. To summarise i than called Takealot and they said they would contact the courier company to find out about the items. After contacting Takealot numerous times i to this day have not recied my order. This morning i called them again and they said the order was returned to their warehouse in Johannesburg, this is after they told me on Monday that it would be delivered to me on Tuesday the 21st. I ahve not received an apology from either Takealot or the courier company and all the communication that has happened i initiated. I would like very much to have my money refunded to me ASAP so i can purchase the item elsewhere, and i would appreciate an apology from Takeallot in regards to the unsatisfactory manner in which this entore issue was handled
pre ordering a game
I ordered call of duty black ops 4 the 10th of august on Playstation 4. I am a content creator and needed the private beta codes. The beta launched 7pm ths 10th of august. I waited, got no codes, at 7pm I was getting pissed because I didn't receive anything. I send an email but the person that cane back had no clue what a beta even was! The 11th of august I was really pissed because still no code and I need the code for the private beta, my career is on the line but takealot doesn't give a [censored] about it. It just said wait until monday and monday the beta is gone, so a whole weekend of playing has gone to waste and I cannot produce any content to my subscribers! This is the absolute last time im using takealot to buy games. If the delivery is delayed for the products delivery of 12 october 2018, I will be beyond mad!

My order was cancelled and I was not notified that it would be cancelled. I had forwarded bank statements and screen shots of poof that funds were paid, had to eventually go to my bank to get a copy of another proof of payment only to be told by my bank that my funds cleared on the day I placed my order and that the transaction was successful. I am now having to wait for finance department to get back to me after giving me the run around cause their system could not pick up my transaction. I have to now wait till they decide to do anything and if I do place another order it will take another further week or two to get delivered, very much inconveniencing me as I needed the gas heater for a specific reason hence I ordered it then.

I made a big order and ensured that all items were in stock so that no items must be ordered from supplier in order for me to receive my order at the address I specified, as I will only be available at that address next week.
After paying and accessing the tracking, the highlighter was 'ordered from supplier' and now the eatimated delivery date is only 23 August, when I won't be available at that address. Why would it then say 'in stock' on the site if it needs to be ordered from the supplier first? If there is going to be a 'ordering from supplier' delay it must be stated on the site please!
Is there any way I can remove that item, as all other items are ready to be shipped for delivery.

I work in IT so fully appreciate the fact that companies are driving digital processes. However we can all agree that digital doesn't quite yet support the exceptions.
I placed a R5000 order with Takealot on 28/07. Got told on 03/08 that supplier for one of the items no longer stocks the product, fair enough even though notification was late. Today, when I should be receiving remaining balance, my phone, get an email notifying me that the courier got robbed with my order. Again, it happens, especially in this country. What I don't appreciate is the fact that I couldn't get proper support through the call centre. First I was put on hold when asking to be put through to the person who mailed me as I wanted to make arrangements for the product no longer in stock. Secondly I get told that the phone which I know is in stock in Jnb would now take 7 days due to the replacement process. Why should I wait a week due to theft? Had I just got transferred to the right person this exception would have been dealt with seamlessly. Instead I have to wait for email notifications for accurate information. When time is of the essence, I cannot rely on email notifications, alternative arrangements need to be made and fast. This is shocking customer service. The standard of which I'm unaccustomed to within the whole two years I've been purchasing from Takealot.

I ordered items online and it was scheduled for delivery on Friday 03 August 2018. On the Thursday morning 02 August 2018 I received an sms informing me that my order will be delivered (to the business address I provided and have received every single previous Takealot delivery from). Around 11:00 that morning I missed a call from an unkown mobile number. I tried to return this call 11 times without any succees, and shortly after that received an sms stating that "the recipient was not available for delivery". I think this is absolutely ridiculous. So, I pay for something, and am informed of the delivery, arrange my day to be at the office to receive it, and then because I missed the call in the nick of time now cannot have the items I have already paid for. I can now see why Takealot is getting such a bad name.
delivery to incorrect address
My address was clearly stated on my order, however my package was delivered to another apartment block down the road. Fortunately someone from that apartment block called me to inform me that they have my parcel and left it with the security. I then had to go collect it from there.
Firstly, I order off takealot for the sake of convenience and having to get in my car to go fetch my parcel from another apartment block completely defeated this point.
Secondly it was not a small purchase, it was a kindle paperwhite. Thank goodness the lady who received it was honest enough to give me a call to let me know it had been delivered to her.
incorrect item delivered and no follow up from customer service to resolve
My order [protected] was delivered yesterday, 30 July but one item was incorrect. I ordered an 'Island Club Girls jnr Delux backpack black with white flowers, but received a navy blue 'Edison' bag bar code 6 [protected]. I informed customer care but have heard nothing since...
Please can the correct item be delivered/swopped asap this week as I am away from Friday 3 to Monday, 13 August and especially ordered this item for my trip away ! :(

bad service delivery not made
i ordered a Defy stove online on the 24th of july which was meant to be delivered on the 26th of July which wasnt, i had to contact the callcentre to ask where my order was and they told me that its on its way and i should receive it on the 27th of July of which i didnt, when i went online today 30th to my surprise it says the stove was delivered to the address i put on the system of which it wasnt. i signed up that my mother N filda receive the stove on my behalf and sign for it as i will be at work. No stove was delivered at my address and when i spoke to Calvin Mtheto he firstly refused to give me his surname telling me that its the company procedure but luckily he sent me an email with his surname, he stated that his manage wasnt available and will contact me as soon as she gets to the office which im still waiting ive been calling these people all day sine 7 in the morning with epic fail to get my query resolved. i want my full refund and they must go collect the stove wherever they left it or delivered it to
. how can they allow someone else sign up for my stove when i clearly asked that it be received and signed for by my mom? pure negligence and no regard whats so ever for their clients
the worst service with a return
I had a question and query regarding the outcome of my return.
Now it has been returned without any further feedback given to me regarding my query, and it was shipped to a different address as were it was picked up (without even confirming).
This is very bad service I an receiving from Takealot!

goosebumps books/ anti-theft waterproof backpack
I have ordered a set of Goosebumps books and Take a lot sent me the wrong set. Then I ordered it again and again i recieved the wrong set. Then I ordered a back pack now they are out of stock. This is pathetic. The second time I ordered the books I had to wait for almost 2 months. And now there is no stock of a back pack I ordered the day it went on special.
I am so disappointed and will in future think twice about using Take a lot. I have heard so many good things about Take a lot and the first 3 times I ordered things they all came wrong or there is no stock. This is the 3rd time I am conplaining about it and nothings happens.
refusal to refund
Good afternoon,
I ordered goods to the value of R 895.00 online from Takealot.com and paid by credit card and a R 150 voucher I had.
When the order was delivered, one item was missing. When I checked my order online, I saw that this item had been cancelled by Takealot.com (see item B on the attached order). Also on the attached order, you will see that the R150 discount voucher was correctly applied against the balance of my order (see item A on the attached order).
I checked my account and saw there was a credit of R 245 not R395 which was the amount paid for the cancelled item. When I contacted Takealot.com they informed me that since there was a cancelled item on the order they reversed the value of the voucher against the amount owed to me. Notwithstanding the order on their system showing the discount having been applied against the balance of the order, they were adamant the refund due was only R 245 - citing their "Returns Policy" which is nonsensical, as I didn't return anything. I then requested a refund to my credit card of the R245 (which I still believed should be R 395, but didn't have the energy to argue about), only to be told they don't do refunds, only credits to the account. It is my understanding that this is in contravention of the CPA, as this is not a "change of heart" refund, but an inability on the part of the company to supply an item they charged me for. I was offered a replacement voucher for R 150 which I declined - the voucher used in the order was already a replacement voucher on a previous order where Takealot.com was unable to supply an item I had paid for. This replacement voucher was valid for 2 weeks, effectively forcing me to purchase goods to realise its value. I certainly wasn't going to fall into that trap again!
I also referred them to clause 5.2 of their Terms and conditions which states:
NOTE: Takealot or the Third Party Seller will indicate the acceptance of your order by delivering the Goods to you or allowing you to collect them, and only at that point will an agreement of sale between you and Takealot or the Third Party Seller come into effect (the "Sale"). This is regardless of any communication from Takealot stating that your order or payment has been confirmed. Takealot will indicate the rejection of your order (by Takealot itself or the Third Party Seller) by cancelling it and, as soon as possible thereafter, refunding you for any amount already paid.
Takealot.com was still not prepared to refund me the money they owe to me.
I hope you can help me with this - if not, let this at least serve as a warning to people dealing with Takealot.com.

Good day to whom it may concern,
I received my takealot package on the 27/06/2018 with a phone cover,
today is the 20/07/2018 and y cover has broken for now reason down the lining (please see images below), with the purchase i have also ordered a pop socket which is now attached to the cover and prices t R150 and thus i cannot return it as the pop socket is stuck to the cover. On that note i would like to just be refunded for this product as i would not like a new one.

On the 11 July 2018 my order #[protected] I received an sms that my order will be delivered on the 13 July 2018 before 17:00.
On the 13th I waited until 17:00 no parcel was delivered. the next day I got an sms my parcel is delayed to delivery on the 18 th July 2018
Why must I wait for my parcel if they promosied to deliver it on the 13th July, no one phoned me.
I think this is very bad service and the client must know at all times.

all your competitors are able to give a clear and precise delivery date, even SAPO has a more reliable tracking system and to top that delivers quicker too.
based on your customer feedback on various platforms including facebook & hellopeter You can see that 99% of your complaints are due this lack of communication, unreliability and bad customer service all stemming from the same cause.
I have been a loyal customer since Kalahari days but with each order things become progressively worse. and it seems that you are in no way intent on heading the voices of your supporters.
this is really not wise as more and more competitors emerge offering the same products at the same or similar pricing with more effient delivery, concise tracking and better all round service.
your call centre agents could learn from government departments, you tracking and delivery could learn from Sapo all in all im very dissapointed and feel ill be forced to take my patronage elsewhere which is sad for me given all the years Ive remained a client and all the people Ive recommended use your shop.

midea microwave delivered to the wrong courier company
My delivery was scheduled for 10 July needless to say i received a very disturbing email from Takealot telling me that they are sad that i have cancelled my order and they are waiting for me to return it. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY DELIVERY AND NEITHER HAVE I CANCELLED IT. Upon tracking it on their website there is a different story of the order having been sent to the wrong courier company and will be re rerouted. Today 11 July i tracked the order again and i see that the courier company has sent the order back to Takealot. This is so freaking frustrating because in all this no one is communicating with me. WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY MICROWAVE WHICH I PAID MORE THAN R4000 FOR? I am so angry and frustrated right now.
chukbok 15 piece heavy bottom stainless steel cookware set
On the 6th of July, I bought the 15 piece heavy bottom stainless steel cookware set and surprisingly my order was delivered on the 9th of July. Unfortunately I was not at the office at the time that it was delivered at my workplace. I only got a chance to open my parcel in the evening and I must say, I was not happy at all with the quality of the spoons and shovel. They look rusty and that is a safety hazard because I will be dishing out meals with them. I don't know how one can package such for a customer but I would like to request that they be replaced or you can come fetch the whole set and I get my money back.
I bought chukbok pots, loved them so much. Just the kids and handles kept falling, but the quality and how easily they wash made me happy. I then bought a second set, this set rusted in a year and has holes at the bottom and rusts into the food. I'm very sad because its past thr warranty period, now I an stuck with useless pots and I really loved them
