takealot.com Re: [Delivery] Item Missing or Incorrect in Order Received [protected])
I placed an order with takealot.com on 08th January 2024 and it was delivered on the 10th January 2024. The strange thing was that even though this was a delivery to address order, the currier team asked that myself and other customers go to a local mall to meet the delivery truck for collection. Other customers were quite upset because we were told to arrive at 11am which they did but the delivery truck arrived at 12noon. It was all confusing because we had all requested delivery to address and here we were collecting orders from the back of a truck.
Things got even more strange when I got home and found that some items were missing from my order and some items were not part of my order.
I immediately lodged a complaint with takealot.com on the 10th of January 2024 and to this day (1 February 2024)I'm still waiting for my items to be delivered. I've completed their form and provided all the details they need but they still requested me to send them the same information over 3 times.
I've literally had to exchange emails with over 8 different agents (all using the same email address) who each seemed not to have the information I've previously shared with their co workers. At times they simply go quiet and I have to check with them again only to have to resend them something again.
Is everything okay at takealot.com? As if the above was not enough, I just tried to call their call center and their agent literally picked up the phone but didn't speak. Instead they let the TV play in the background and left me saying hello to no avail. This happened 3 times and the whole situation is all unlike Takealot.com.
