My father-in-law bought a new Thor in 2016, shortly before his untimely passing.
My father-in-law bought a brand new Thor in 2016, 3 months before he passed away. He purchased his Thor in Florida and was told it could be serviced anywhere, which turned out to be false. After his passing, my husband took over the Thor in our local area. We've encountered numerous issues, including malfunctioning windshield wipers, broken pipes, deteriorating furniture, peeling curtains in the driver area, A/C problems, paint peeling off the motorhome, engine troubles, and other defects, all supposedly under warranty. However, we found that no RV center in our area would service a Thor, despite checking with around 50 dealers in the DFW area. We've had to make two trips to Florida for servicing. My father-in-law would have been disappointed with the worthless warranty. When owning a motorhome, you expect local service for repairs. The worst part is the original dealer's reluctance to perform any services without being shown the warranty. We advise buying from a reputable RV center with nationwide locations. Avoid Thor and choose a brand with reliable support.

March 1 bought my first coach Axis 24.1
March 1 bought my first coach Axis 24.1. I was so exited that I went to Indiana to pick it up. On the way down to ***, the radio came off the dash, the left side Thor emblem outside came off, the left side tire flare came off too. Finally made it home, and starting checking things up found out that the cooktop and the bathroom sink was used. The bathroom vinyl around the shower is coming off, the city water connection didn't work, the heater either. To my surprise none of the dealers would take this unit until 2 months later. Called Thor and explain all of the problems that I have encounter and after several calls they provide me with a mobile technician that made an inspection which now they would not pay, in which he found out the septic tank valves were also leaking and not holding water. My frustration have been increasing because the mobile tech wants to charge me and Thor doesn't want to pay, they only would send the parts down. If you read this review please make sure you don't get anything that says THOR, I personally would get rid off this unit and purchase something reliable.

If I could leave a 0star rating, I would. This is the worst motor home Ive had. The workmanship and quality is horrible to say the least. Ive had a leak in my shower stall since the day we purchased it. It has been in the shop more times than I can count and we still have the leak. The windshield is installed incorrectly as its very noisy driving down the road. We cant even hear each other when driving. Weve had so many issues with this coach. Dont purchase a Thor product because its nothing but headaches. Not worth it. You get no results from Thor. The representative from Thor was very nasty and rude during our conversation. Customer satisfaction does not exist at Thor. We have so many unresolved issues with this Coach.
Bought and drove home a 2022 Thor CHALLENGER 37DS only to find that the chassis A/C was never hooked up by the manufacture(Thor) OR the dealer(**
Bought and drove home a 2022 Thor CHALLENGER 37DS only to find that the chassis A/C was never hooked up by the manufacture(Thor) OR the dealer(***) they showed all of the inspection forms, no recalls, from the *** dept...You're probably wondering...well didn't you check that stuff? Yep. Thought is was fine. They turn all the house A/C's and it wasn't that warm out anyways and it blew air...but the engine wasn't running etc. So started the drive home and that day the thing was just blowing air. The dealer is 4 hours from my home. Called dealer, oh that's a THOR problem, called THOR: that's a *** problem... called *** and they gave permission to take it to a shop...SHOP says NOTHING was even hooked up. Never serviced for delivery! WHAT? This is what is wrong with America folks. Don't tell them your driving in...don't tell them you're moving with your family, don't tell them you're a Retired VET. It doesn't matter! EVERYTHING YOU SAY WILL BE HELD AGAINST YOU. Why am I posting this here? Because THOR was the original party that DROPPED THE *** A/C shortage...ok tell me. I'll make the decision. This is the basics folks...
Walls behind the driver and passenger seats are rotting apart. They put particle board and plywood that runs through the coach to the outside about 6 inches from the ground. This is where the problem starts. They put a small metal strip acoss this plywood and painted the plywood. The screws is these metal strips come off and than the moisture from the rain starts to *** up into the plywood. I have a mess. Its doing the same thing on the other side. I didnt expect for my interior walls to fall apart from a 2018 motorhome with on *** miles. This RV is kept under cover at all times. I called Thor and all they wanted to know is if i had an extended warranty. What has happened to admitting your poor construction and helping to remedy the situation. I pulled first particle board back and the roaches and mold sickened me. I have a mess on my hands. I did not expect my walls to be rotting this quickly.
We have just purchased a 2022 chteau 24 foot motorhome we used it twice and the slide would not come back in after waiting three weeks to get it into a dealer we were told to complete slide mechanism had to be replaced it was gonna take two months to get the parts The roof leaked and was told the ceiling had to be replaced in places as we sit here with a brand new motorhome and not able to use it I am not very happy after spending that much money this unit is very poorly put together I would not recommend anybody to buy a Thor product if we were able to get rid of this we would do it The panels inside came loose because of the staples I put in would not hold Thor out to be a shamed of putting her name on such a poor quality unit
My wife have really likes our Thor Motor Home. Is it perfect? No but we have enjoyed it and are happy with the effort by Thor customer service. We took our *** to the factory service center and they found a faulty dealer service center repair that kept failing on our slide out and repaired it even thought it was a bit out of warranty because we had stated having trouble before the warranty ended. We have had the slide out multiple time since that repair with no issues. Thank you so much Thor for taking care of your customers.
Less than 45 days that we own our new motorhome and the slides of our 2020 Thor Challenger 35MQ did not retract back in
Less than 45 days that we own our new motorhome and the slides of our 2020 Thor Challenger 35MQ did not retract back in. This took place on 4/22. Thor Rep was contacted by us. His name is Terry. He was our first point of contact. He walked us through troubleshooting, unfortunately, no success. He , (Terry) was able to contact an RV Mobile Service that came to our aid on 4/23. Terry stated we would have to pay out of pocket for the service calls and labor but to scan the paid receipt to Thor and they would provide full reimbursement to us. Dean A. also from Thor had communication with Mobile RV mechanic on site discussing diagnostic, and parts needed. Dean quickly ordered parts on same day. Mobile RV mechanic will have to return again to install Replacement slide motors. Mobile mechanic was able to get both slides back in. We have not gone out on any road trips yet, motorhome in storage until the country regains some normalcy. Dean was clear and upfront with his communication and follow up. He was sincere and understanding. There are other concerns / issues that are not acceptable to us. We are putting a list together of those issues to send to both RV dealership we bought it from and Thor.
2021 Thor chateau 28z. TOTAL JUNK. I have more miles traveling to the dealer for service than I do camping. 5 trips for the furnace issue. last trip for the furnace the radio failed. Bedroom wall has come off twice while driving. the Propane tank guage is wildly off and the front decals are peeling. LESS THAN TWO THOUSAND MILES ON THIS RIG. The GFCI trips repeatedly with nothing plugged in and takes down the tv. JUNK> JuNK JUNKY JUNK!
THOR company is terrible! Do not use! I wish i had followed the other negative reviews. I have had the Thor Sanctuary for 5 weeks I have been calling THOR and the dealer for 4 weeks. Fan broken, hose connect broken, screen missing, speaker missing, drawer broken, sewer hose missing. Some of these are such simple fixes, instead THOR keeps telling me to take better photos of SKU number. Seriously! Terrible company to work with *** I regret ever buying this van *** - DO NOT buy! Another day of frustration trying to get a response for items that i HAVE PAID for
We bought a 2020 *** July . We traded in a 2011 coachman mirada. The worst mistake I have ever made! And I have made a few.180K. The coach was in the shop from Dec 2020 until April .Floor blowing up when heat was on, bed not retracting, shades falling of the windows, control panel fell out, wall panels crinkled, tail light falling out.The list goes on.April , Jacks won't go down, wind shield wipers come on by themselves, more crinkling wall panels.Back to the shop July , Picked up August2021, I bragged about no problems with the Freightliner Chasis, WRONG! Low coolant level light on, check engine light on, dash A/C not cooling. Generator shutting off, can't even access it the t handle appears stuck, hood won't open. What a frustrating experience with something that is supposed to bring us happiness in retirement. And please Thor don't answer with the canned response.Just tell me where and when to take it to near ***.
Bought a brand new Thor class C Quantum motorhome one year ago. So far the roof has leaked, the walls were cut too tall for the walls so they bowed out and have all come off, the couch chair supports are so poorly made that there are large deep holes in them (after being sat on by my 130 pound teenagers while driving), the refrigerator went out leaking ammonia into the coach causing chemical *** to eyes and lungs. This motorhome has been used for a few vacations, this isnt due to heavy use of living in the vehicle. This coach is so poorly made Im appalled. I cant believe a company can charge nearly $100,000 for a giant piece of c*** Please excuse my language but this is the worst motorhome and company Ive ever seen.
So Far So Good
So Far So Good... Our Class A - 2020 Thor Miramar 37.1 is pretty well built. We have had a couple of issues that were quickly resolved. One was the Lippert Automatic Step System - It seams they can become heavily corroded during the delivery process as the coach travels across snow/rainy mid western states (spring delivery to So. CA) - any way this issue was very quickly resolved with a total step motor replacement via local authorized repair. The other was that we HAD to sound/heat proof the dog house our selves (REALLY - THOR COULD correct this easily during the manufacturing process). This is a huge issue - you can't hear in the cab while driving and the heat that comes through is unsafe. We are planning to stop at our dealership for some other minor issues before the winter and we hare planned several weeks in advance. We find that MOST complaints about Thor products are due to customers purchasing LOWER end models - and expecting HIGHER end results. MOST RVs (cheaper ones) are meant to be used two weeks a year during your vacation beyond that they seam to have multiple issues(from what we have heard). If you want lasting Quality - you need to spend more $$$. We are living full time in our coach.
I really wish I would have read these reviews prior to purchasing my Rize
I really wish I would have read these reviews prior to purchasing my Rize. I purchased the vehicle from La Mesa in ***. Upon pick up, the generator would not start and displayed "Fault." La Mesa looked into the issue and said the secondary fuel pump has failed due to a kink in the fuel line. They also mentioned this is a common issue with this coach. Unfortunately they didn't have the replacement pump and I had to drive the vehicle home to ***. Once in ***, I called Thor to request the repair. The customer service representative suggested I look on our website to find authorized repair centers, which I did. *** was the closest repair center so I gave them a call and ask them to perform their repair. They said they will not perform the repair as I did not purchase the vehicle from them. It's a super disconcerting because they are listed on Thor's website as an authorized repair shop. I called a few other places and eventually found someone who's willing to look at the vehicle. Now I have to wait until April to have my brand new RV diagnosed. Who knows how long the actual repair will you take... After visiting this website, I now have concerns about the build quality and longevity of this RV.

I am sorry to report that after spending over $100K on a new 2021 Thor Dodge Ram Promaster, the vehicle has been sitting nonoperational more
I am sorry to report that after spending over $100K on a new 2021 Thor Dodge Ram Promaster, the vehicle has been sitting nonoperational more days than I have been able to drive it. I have spent an unbelievable amount of time having the vehicle jumped, driving/flying back and forth to LA for repairs, endless phone calls, emails, tracking who I am talking to, etc. The vehicle has not been properly repaired and I am requesting a full refund on this purchase. A company that does not stand by what they sell and repair it in a timely manner or refund their customer in a timely manner, is not worthy of having a license to sell. I purchased the vehicle in May. It is now November. Six months of a non-operational vehicle with the owner putting in more effort than the dealer/manufacturer is more than unfortunate. It's a deterioration of life when the vehicle was purchased as my 'daily driver'. Do not purchase unless you have a back-up vehicle or you can at the very least put additional money into a borrowed vehicle to keep it safely on the road, as I have had to do. Do not purchase it you need to rely on it for travel/work, as I am a traveling teacher left without a vehicle. Save yourself time, money, effort. Learn from me.

The following information was transmitted directly to Thor and to the ComplaintsBoard.com in October
The following information was transmitted directly to Thor and to the Complaintsboard.com in October. As of this date I have not received any kind of response from Thor. This certainly leaves a lot to be desired as to customer service, regardless of the response to my complaint. VIN *** Purchased new in 2018 & was not used until recently. To date has 3000 mi. when filling with gas noticed leak & found gas filler hose totally rotten. Contacted dealer & customer service and received very little help only sympathy. No one could supply part numbers etc. Finally found place to purchase entire filler tube $262.27 only needed flexible hose. Removed old hose & found manufacturer had spliced 2 hoses together which were wrong size & not to spec. but did work for a while. New assembly lists *** for hose only. When pricing this costs about $50. Even though my home is out of warranty this would not have been a problem if the correct hose had been installed in the first place. I can send pictures of the removed hose if you want. I feel I should be at least compensated for this unnecessary expense.

Bought a new 2017 Fourwinds 30D in 2018
Bought a new 2017 Fourwinds 30D in 2018. During walkthrough over 30 items were noted as build defects, poor quality. Dealer advised us to take the *** to our closest dealer for repairs. Upon first use the slides would not retract properly. When brought to dealership for repairs it took over 2 months and not all items were repaired and what were they were done very shawty. We have hardly used the *** but three time for short trips. Since I had noticed the holding tank was leaking and upon inspection the tank was barely attached to the body and was ready to fall out. One trip I smelled burning and upon inspection the main power was connected so Sloppily it had shorted to ground and started to melt the wires at the converter. We are now on a 45 day trip and I will tell you this Thor Fourwinds in a complete pile of junk. The windows allow so much cold and air to pass through its impossible to stop it. Both slides leak water when open during rain. Both slides allow so much air to enter the cabin your feet freeze on the floor. There is absolutely no possible way to stop the air from entering the cabin due to the numerous holes and gaps throughout the cabin. I would not Reccomended any person to purchase any product from Thor. Every attempt to get the *** in to a dealership is like pulling teeth.

I am with **** on Review below regarding Thor Rize
I am with *** on Review below regarding Thor Rize. I also purchased in May 2022 from ***. As soon as I took if off the lot (10 miles down the road), the clean water tank leaked all over the entire inside of the floor. My passenger noticed it, so we stopped at a store and got towels to help with the water to prevent damage. Called LaMesa and they were not that kind on the phone so turned around and took it back. JD stated it was water out of the toilet splashing as when we tested it we didn't flush it completely. So, we left again, and 15 miles out, it started leaking. We called LaMesa RV but no one would answer as they were closed now. No one returned my voicemail so I had to continue home 1 1/2 hrs drive as nothing else I could do and it was 6 p.m. ... I called LaMesa the next day and the salesperson *** wouldn't help me as she said it is now sold and used and they cannot take it back and give me a new one and her Manager *** said I had to bring it back so they can look at it and fix it. Well *** arranged for someone to get it as I have a job and couldn't do that. They stated it was fixed, was problem Thor did at the factory with not hooking up the water line correctly. Then 2 weeks later, I plug my phone in and use Apple Car Play, shut the vehicle, come back and start it, and the *** camera/GPS... everything BLACK. No screen and the mileage blinking. I googled and read the book and did many phone calls around my area and no one will work on it like *** mentioned and so I have to drive it back to LaMesa in *** in hopes they can fix it. It was mentioned a fuse blew? But I cannot open the fuse boxes myself. I was to be leaving on my trip and now may have to cancel all campground reservations and start all over. DON'T BUY A THOR. Obviously the factory in Indiana doesn't do quality work. I also spoke to *** at that factory and she was a B...! and wouldn't help.
in May , we purchased a new 2018 Thor Hurricane 35M
in May , we purchased a new 2018 Thor Hurricane 35M. Upon delivery, there were a list of items that were defective (things that should have been caught at the factory). We immediately began to work with *** of *** to have these items corrected. The unit had 620 miles on it when we signed the paperwork. over the next 9 months, we were unable to use the RV. It spent more time at the dealer, than it did at our house (a 6 hour round trip for us). throughout the following three years, we continue to find defects that are the result of poor workmanship and inattention to detail throughout the RV. most recently (on a trip), there was wiring that was connected in a junction box under the RV, that shorted out and melted. According to the schematics provided by Thor, that junction box does not exist. This failure rendered anything powered by the generator to be useless. I had no backup camera, side view cameras, no A/C, and all inside lights were nonfunctional. within the first year, we had issues with the automatic windshield shade, entry door not shutting (if you could shut it, you couldnt lock it), USB power charging station (still not functional), missing gaskets on outside storage doors, missing drain plugs in storage areas, dinette drawer will not stay latched (opens every time we make a left turn - knocked our dog down the stairs), Drivers screen window would not open, leveling system had errors that would not clear, speedometer lights were not working (one is just missing), Microwave squeaks while driving, wiper blade arm was stripped, canopy LED lights did not work, many issues with cracked wood on cabinets, sofa extension latch would not work, loose storage doors, inverter remote did not work, battery disconnect switch does not work, overhead bed does not work consistently almost fell down during drive, front window shade keeps coming loose, and every trip uncovers more problems. we have had leaks, there is a sani-flush cleanout that causes interior leaks, the latches to store the front dining table have come out of the wall, wardrobe doors in the bedroom are falling apart, trim has just fallen off, exterior decals were poorly applied and are tearing off... we could go on and on... this is not our first RV, we are familiar with how things should be on a brand new unit. This unit had an MSRP of $143,000.00.

THOR MOTOR COACH MOTOR COMPANY - Vehicle Warranty and Repair Issues
THOR MOTOR COACH MOTOR COMPANY - Dear Manufacturer: I believe my vehicle is a lemon under state lemon law. I am hereby making a written demand for a refund because the vehicle does not conform to the warranty. Whether through willful negligence or sheer incompetence, I believe the manufacturer and Thor have operated in bad faith to complete repairs in a reasonable timeframe. An example of willful negligence is an authorized dealer removed a factory-installed sway bar which could lead to a reduced level of control when driving the coach. An example of incompetence is the damage sustained to the rear cap and corner of the coach while in service for warrantable repairs. I purchased a 2021 Thor Challenger 37FH on March 15, from a dealership. Since buying the vehicle, I have had it serviced at MHS dealership once and at another dealership twice for a total of 3 visits. My vehicle has been out of service for repairs for a total of 53 calendar days. My coach has been in for repairs on the following dates for the following defects: 07/05 to: P0303 Engine Code, 08/02: Recall on rear differential, TSB on Sway Bar missing bracket, No Chassis Air missing/faulty THX valve, Clogged Valve Stem Inner Rear Dually Tire. As of August 13th, repairs of warranty items listed above are confirmed except TSB on Sway Bar missing bracket and Clogged Valve Stem. My vehicle has been in Motor Home Specialist on the following dates for repair of the following defects: 08/02: Coach transported to MHS, 08/02 to: Exterior issues, 08/06: Headlights not adjusted and not working properly, Headlight trim not properly screwed to fiberglass, Slam Latch screws broken on forward bay doors - Driver Side, Loose molding Passenger Side forward bay door, Missing lug forward PS Tire, 120V AC Plug not working in storage bay, Interior issues, Visio Sound Bar is intermittent/audio cuts out after a few minutes of use, Loud Engine Noise in cockpit during normal cruising operation, DS Inwall Slide FWD Motor not properly dampened--bounces and rattles while driving, Recliner not working properly--doesn't recline when lever is pulled. Have to reach between legs and pull from the bottom, No latch on refrigerator to keep from opening while driving, No backing placed in wall between bedroom/bathroom to mount Barn Door slide bracket - multiple holes drilled into bottom of wall -- bracket is dangling and barn door has no bottom support, Hole not insulated behind DS cockpit and is visible when DS Slide is retracted. Floor is open to forward compartment bay, USB charge ports not working in dinette overhead, Coleman Mach 13.5K units undersized and not able to manage heat load above 80 degrees, All drawers poorly made and drawer bottoms falling out upon receipt, AC plenums not properly taped at delivery creating bypass and poor cooling, AC 9 pin connector not properly made causing loss of 120VAC to compressor--front unit, 08/06 to: Coach transported back to dealership due to failed axle seals. My coach has been at the dealership since August 6th. I am currently having the following problems with my vehicle: 08/13: Vehicle is back at the dealership with no estimated time for completion, Failed axle seal associated with Rear Differential Recall 2nd attempt to repair, Missing factory sway bar, brackets, and bushings. 2nd attempt to repair, Clogged Valve Stem Inner Rear Dually Tire, Visio Sound Bar Intermittent, Recliner not working - sprung, 08/24: Received call from dealership stating coach has been damaged while receiving service and will need to go into body shop for repairs.

Sept 2021 I bought a brand new 2022 Thor Freedom Elite HE
Sept 2021 I bought a brand new 2022 Thor Freedom Elite HE. I have received a very defective unit with poor quality workmanship. I have been in contact with *** and *** at Thor motor coach. I have owned a brand new unit for three months and it ruined my vacation and is sitting in the shop. The unit has been DOWN for 2 months of my 3 month ownership. I have requested that Thor replace or buy back this defective unit. *** said she would call me back the same day. Its been more then a week heading into two weeks without a response. I have made several more attempts to reach her but have gotten nowhere. I should never have had to deal with both hot and cold lines broken, slide not working right, broken propane tank, cut taken out of drivers window while in service. The paid service for winterizing was NOT DONE, which means did they do the other work of scotch guard and outside protection. Missing smoke detector, glue patchy work all over bedroom, dinette, behind drivers seat glue patchy mess and a gap. Roof bubbles. Was told 4 jacks, only 2. Was told internet, only air.Brand new unit and not only did it ruin my vacation its sitting in garage more then Ive had possession of it. I do not trust this unit. With all these issues now what else is flawed. I asked that Thor replace the unit or buy it back and Ill go get another unit.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!Bought a brand new Thor Windsport, 34J! Was coaxed into buying it from Giant RV! *** was supposed to have some magical warranty and great customer service, anything but great was more like it!Left my entire family stranded, 3 times, once out of state. The one time out of state, our RV almost burn to the ground with my wife and 3 kids inside! Oh, it only has 4K miles on a 2022! What a pathetic joke!Throughout the entire process of suing Thor under lemon law, *** decided to step up and purchase it back. This was after I was overpromised a new coach, on the house by ***!If *** thinks they are going to get away with this, not even a chance. *** is great, if you want poor customer service, lack of educated managers and senior leadership, and poor craftsmanship overall. This is just the beginning of what is in store for this company!
This has been a nightmare of an Rv. The same things keep breaking. The company camping world has kept my RV more than i have. I get the covid thing and parts not being available. They tell me i can use it and bring it back. When i bring it back they are saying they declined my repair because they need more pictures. Now they send pictures and they declined my repair stating its out of warranty. They are also saying they wont repair something that they just fixes a few months ago if it is put of warranty. Well fix it right the first 20 times! I bought this brand new and have wasted countless hours taking it to the shop. They keep it for months (sometimes 6 months). And tell me to bring it back later. This is horrible service. I have been making payments for 2 years and cant even use the thing. Now they want me to pay to fix something they never fixed while it was covered. Shady people. I am reaching out to the attorney general as my next step and will place goole review and other sites if they dont do the right thing.
I bought a new Thor sequence. Drove it on one long trip to *** form ***. Engine died in ***. Spoke with *** representative to ask for assistance and the representative laughed at me on the phone saying this is not their problem or responsibility . they could offer no help and referred me to *** who made the chassis. No help from them . Would recommend that no-one does business with this company . I certainly would never again. Horrible customer service . The *** has been in *** getting repaired for 7 weeks with no estimate on date.
Thor Motor-coach is not covering a manufacture defect repair for our Thor Ace Motorhome purchased on August 8
Thor Motor-coach is not covering a manufacture defect repair for our Thor Ace Motorhome purchased on August 8. There have been numerous quality issues with this motorhome and some of them have been fixed by Thor and some I took care of myself. The issue being rejected is a water leak in the back of the motorhome that was a result of a gap in the roof sealant. It is obvious that the sealant was not there at any time and as a result water got into the back of the RV and damaged some of the interior wood and wall. I took pictures of the sealant gap and the damaged interior wall. When I went to get it repaired the sealant was put on the gap but Thor refused to repair the interior wood in the RV. I was told that they would not cover the repairs because the RV had a PDI inspection and it was identified and reported by the dealership in their inspection report. They informed me that I should have performed the roof repair within six moths of receiving the RV. The gap in the sealant was there from the factory, had the inspection been performed properly at *** in *** they would have been able to fix it and there would be no interior damage. It is obvious to myself that the quality and workmanship performed at Thor Motor-coach is in dire need of attention and the customer (myself) should not be held responsible for making repairs to the motorhome when in fact the damage is a result in an oversight at the factory and an inadequate inspection at the dealership.

I bought a new Thor Hurricane 34J in January . Since the purchase I have had to take the motor coach back and forth for repairs. The problems consist of generator muffler bracket, main power wire, electric control panel, flooring, latches on hood, hot water heater, awning, steering wheel, lighting on stove, crack on outside rear by ladder, slide out awning ripped, defective windshield, rotten wood, water leak inside motor coach, main door water damage, s*** in flooring, cracked dash, check engine light, headlight, slide out motor x5, and awning retract motor defected. All the problems happened within purchasing and 12 months of owning the motor home. I have reached out through email, and via phone for assistance with Thor Motor Coach. I have had very little help in resolving these problems with my brand new motor coach. I am very disappointed in the company and the product that was assembled. I want my problems solved as my motor coach has spent more time in the repair shop while Ive made payments then traveling on the road or in my possession. I have had to dish out money to take it back and forth for repairs (100 miles one way) and some of the repairs. While in the shop for months at a time the repairs still never get fixed due to Thor. I have warranty, extended warranty, pictures, videos, and receipts.
Our 2021 *** 24 TE *** exterior paint around the moon roof started fading at 15 months. Thor refused to fix this issue.I've seen the same *** with this exact same issue, so I know Thor is aware of the problem. They obviously used a bad product.I want that area to look shiny again to match the rest of the *** paint.*** was purchased 1-2021 at La *** on Irvington in
My Thor Motorcoach Class B has to be on the shop multiple times for the same reason (electrical system.) *** is unable to find a resolution and giving me the runaround with parts with no forseeable resolution. I have owned the *** for a year and half of it is at the shop.
To Whom it may concern; We purchased a Brand New 2022 Thor motor coach class C model Miramar **** on September 18th
To Whom it may concern; We purchased a Brand New 2022 Thor motor coach class C model Miramar *** on September 18th. Last 6 of the *** A03666 We have yet to be able to take a trip in our new coach due to defect in workmanship. The flooring has come loose from the sub-flooring due to poor craftsmanship. There are 30-to 50 Screws in the subflooring that were not seated properly, thus causing the flooring to lift. We have been battling with Thor over a proper fix. The warranty Department at Thor Is wanting to take short cuts in the proper repair of our new Coach. This is completely unacceptable To us. This Coach retailed at $225,00.00 and for Thor to not stand behind its products in unacceptable. The warranty *** wants the Thor *** that we took it to: to cut holes in the flooring and repair the s*** issues, then patch all the holes, and lay flooring over the top Of the damaged flooring. This is a horrible way to fix a floor, and unacceptable to us. Thor needs to warranty to have the flooring completely removed and repaired properly, then new flooring laid down, once repair is done. Thor needs to authorize this repair done correctly or cut us a check and take the coach back, and we will go by another brand of coach that stands behind the product. Thor should also reimburse us for 9 months of storage @$200.00 per month that we have not been able to use our coach. Thank you for looking into this matter for us;*** and

Purchased a build of a new 2022Thor outlaw 38KB from Thor via *** in Albany, NY
Purchased a build of a new 2022Thor outlaw 38KB from Thor via *** in Albany, NY. New RV was delivered on JUN 17, 2021. In April 2022 after winter storage, I found the RV full of water all over the dash on the drivers side. I then found a tear where the rv plastic membrane roof meets the fiberglass body and notified *** for warranty repairs. *** put a patch on it that failed and did not due what looks like a great inspection to find the real cause. In August 2022 I took the RV back to *** stating the leak had not been repaired and they indicated a screw was broke and that it was the source of the major leak. Thor turned down the warranty saying it was beyond warranty and that it was a maintenance issue. I provided Thor with the email in April 21 stating the leak and they still turned me down and said "quite frankly the dealer should have caught that". I am now stuck between a manufacturer who chooses to do business with *** and myself. Nowhere does Thor indicate roof maintenance 9 months after a build. Yes, they require a yearly inspection, my roof failed before the year date. Thor is unwilling to see that and unwilling to even call *** to discuss that and I spent over $200K for an RV that is leaking. Again, I feel I did my due diligence and have just been trying to get my roof and now sagging interior roof fixed. I am a major advocate for Thor and cannot believe they do not stand behind their product and then blame me for maintenance when it is clear the busted screw is the source of the leak; which is beyond basic owner maintenance of a roof.

purchase date 12/31 through Lazy Days of *** 2022 Rave, class b rv for $100,000 upon delivery, numerous issues unresolved, including water leaking onto cabin floor from use of water facilites and a/c., wind sensor beeping every 30 seconds with Main Unit switch on, several monitoring sensors do not reflect correctly on main panel of operations, etc.basically, after purchasing a brand new RV, I have been unable to utilize due to mechanical issues other that to drive it like any other vehicle, but not use it as intended === as an RV,I am seeking all work to be performed correctly to fix and monetary reimbursement for my time, mileage, hotel, lyft and other monetary costs to date trying to get items resolved.
I recently purchase a Thor Omini BT36 Motor Coach and there hasnt been a day when I havent found something wrong with the vehicle/RV. The most concerning two issues however are two separate leaks (one from the generator and one from the actual tank fill). Today as I was looking underneath the vehicle for any additional/possible safety issues, I find the batteries were not secured and nearly falling off the battery box. Ive called the help department several times with no resolution to the mechanical problems. This vehicle is nearly $300,000. I should not been having these (major) mechanical problems that could have been caught during the QA/QC; if Thor even has one.
We purchased out Thor Venetian B42 at the End of February 2022
We purchased out Thor Venetian B42 at the End of February 2022. We took one trip a couple of weeks later and have a list of about 18 issues with the coach. We have owned RV's and expect issues to be worked out with new coaches. We are not unreasonable in the expectations here. What we do expect though is the main systems to function correctly. The Aquahot 250D had never worked correctly and now being told it will be about another 5 weeks to get parts. Attached is a photo of the slide issue we had just after sliding the slide in and out a handful of times. At this point we just want to make consumers aware to stay Away from Thor, and to give the coach back as the dealer has had it twice as long as we have had it during the tenure of owning this coach since February. Below is some of the issues we have had:Torn slide issue on drivers' side, AquaHot issue. Wouldnt heat correctly before we left the lot and were assured it was corrected. It was not corrected and now waiting on control boards, Windshield seems to not be sealed Whistle in windshield constantly, Cargo bays do not lock on the passenger side. Do not lock with fob, keys or switch on dash, Keyless entry button does not work on anything, Entry door has terrible air leak while driving or any wind at all. Cannot even hear the radio if doing 65MPH, Dash squeaks horribly. Cannot find the squeak as it seems to be under the dash somewhere. Just some of the issues. Working with Motor *** (Dealer) and *** from Thor but still not getting our coach back and cancelling several trips planned. Would like to give the coach back and see about purchasing a different one, or different manufacturer at this point.

I ordered a Thor Sanctuary 19P class B motor coach
I ordered a Thor Sanctuary 19P class B motor coach. It was delivered to ***. Me and my wife flew from *** to take delivery of it on March 11th. When we were shown the vehicle everything was as expected with the exception that Thor changed how the bed functioned mid model year. This was not indicated in any of their literature or *** videos. The Thor website still shows the original *** knife seats that fold to complete the bed. We should have refused the vehicle but would have had to purchase return tickets on short notice to fly home during spring break which was not much of an option. Thor removed the *** knife seats for a Velcro version. First the Velcro no longer sticks. The piece that is used to complete the bed in the middle fits so tight that the fabric is going to rip eventually. I contacted Thor and was working with *** in parts. She reached out to Engineering and indicated the change was done for weight reasons. My question is why in the middle of a model year and why since it had been a staple in previous years? She also indicated the Velcro has also now been changed again. I have saved a voice mail from her that basically the vehicle design is as. I have left a voicemail and emailed back with no one returning either. I have also tried to contact the *** via email but no reply. What I want from Thor is to send me the original *** knife seats I thought I was getting with the vehicle and I will install myself. I believe the Velcro solution was done to cut cost and increase profits as it is cheap and not functional. I also created a *** video and others have indicated the same issue. The link to the video

I am not looking for a free ride, just get the vehicle I was led to believe I was purchasing without losing my shirt
I am not looking for a free ride, just get the vehicle I was led to believe I was purchasing without losing my shirt. Issue with Thor Motor Company with 2022 Thor Tellaro20AT purchased December 13, not having power package it was presented as being and Dealer has given me a discount because of this on a different van. The issue with Thor is they became aware in January after I got the van home that I was under the belief I had the power package and not happy. Apparently Thor had started changing end of October from standard ***/Generator in their Tellaros to getting rid of the *** batteries to 2 100ah Lithium /2nd Alternator and offered a higher power package of ***kw with Auto Start System. No mention at the time that there was 2 different Power Packages and the literature was still showing the ***/Generator and the optional ***ks Power Package. In fact, on Feb. 15, 2022, The brochure (which I downloaded) still said the *** with optional *** Kw package. I am aware of at least 4 other owners of this van in the *** who also were led to believe they were getting the higher power package. I had a very good *** van. I told dealer I was looking for most important, additional Power So I could be not hooked up and be able run A/C and additional seating/sleeping. Otherwise no reason to sell my van on *** engine... I was told the van I was looking at had that capacity. I posted on FB Tellaro pages and Thor called me Jan 14th as they saw I just discovered FROM THE TELLARO *** pages that I DID NOT have the power package. While nice, Thor offered no options when I asked. Another Rep called me mid Feb to tell me I could maybe eek out 6 hours on the *** (not possible). Before taking the van out, problems with their new power system so I had to wait to go in for repair Feb 1. Then wait till end of May for parts and now to get new van, I have to lose an additional $80K - $100k because of soaring costs and competing 2023 vans

I bought a brand new 2022 Thor motor coach and according to their warranty process I am still under warranty yet every time they try to fix some
I bought a brand new 2022 Thor motor coach and according to their warranty process I am still under warranty yet every time they try to fix some thing its in worse condition. Everything is wrong with the conversion from windows leaking whenever it rains, electrical not working, dents and damages everywhere, heat not working, the vents not working which is a safety concern, the awning not working there is a massive list from Top to bottom wrong with my 2022 *** sprinter Thor motorcoach van that has been in the shop longer than in my possession and is still at the shop and Im not sure when I will ever get my van back. I keep getting the runaround and every time they say they are fixing something more stuff gets damaged more stuff is falling apart Ive spoke to Thor and they are blaming it on general rv, and when i speak to the general rv they are blaming it on Thor. When the conversion took place by Thor they got caulk all over the outside of the paint when I brought it to the general rv they said that that is under warranty and will be covered later to find out Thor is refusing to cover it and I have a bad paint job due to their poor conversion and caulking along with a hitch that is rusted and I never used it once from the date of purchase. The coach is very poorly converted. I have spent so much time and money bringing it back-and-forth to General RV to get service where it stays several months at a time and nothing is being done. I am tired of the poor service Im receiving from Thor and General RV when I bought this brand new vehicle it had all the same concerns on purchase day, they said its no problem its all under warranty but almost a year later and nothing has been resolved I thought by buying a brand new vehicle thats under warranty that I wouldnt have countless issues and disappointment even down to the wallpaper falling off,the bed fabric split open the drawers are uneven the list goes on! I am very disappointed and need a resolution.

On Jan 31, 22
On Jan 31, 22. I bought a 22 Tellaro 20K with the Power Pack Electrical system ($26K upgrade) from *** in ***, . Dealer stock #JTH***, VIN# ***.I'm a disabled veteran, retired from the Air Force with plans to travel the US starting mid April. I was elated to find what I thought was the perfect van for my dream trip. On Mar 26, the upgraded 120V Mastervolt electrical system stopped working. After hours on the phone with Mastervolt and Thor tech support, I was told to take my van to a local repair shop where they determined an end resistor to the electrical network was missing and a relay was rewired incorrectly sending power back to the house battery alternator (***). This caused the *** to overheat and damage the power inverter. Both parts needed replaced. My local RV shop wasnt able to do the repairs to the Mastervolt system and I had to take my van to an authorized dealership. The dealership I purchased was booked months out and located 4 hours away so I contacted the nearest dealership to me. On Apr 16th, I dropped my van off at *** in ***, . As of today (June 19th) it's been TWELVE weeks since my van stopped working. I've spent countless hours on the phone to the dealership and Thor. I've spent more than $400 in transportation costs getting my van to/from the dealership and almost $2000 in interest on payments for a van I dont even have in my possession. I've NOT even been able to take a single trip in my van. All miles I put on it were from driving it home from the dealership and multiple trips to repair shops. At one point I was told a Thor tech was sent to the dealership to complete repairs (have a voicemail stating this), then was told a tech wasn't sent and yet no help from Thor to get my van repaired. The level of customer support from Thor has been subpar. The dealership's tech has been trying his best to get my van working but hasn't received much support from Thor. I attached a detailed timeline doc.

on 07/15/2022 I purchased a 2022 Thor quantum class C, motor home. original price ***, serial number HCFL C ***, VIN ***, Order # ***-34. We purchased from *** ll ***. We were told it would take week to prep the camper and check everything out. on 07/21/22 we did our walk through and found a lot of defects, things not working things not attached 1. *** was not attached you could literally life it up and down, 2. Right and Left said turn signal cameras didnt work. Awning parts missing lots of wires exposed and Awning would not shut completely flush on one side. 3. Part to the propane gas oven missing, so couldn't use oven. 4. Exterior door on fridge side on outside of camper bulging out not flush, could fly off during driving. 5. Vent fans don't work 6. Cabin door extremely hard to pull open. This is unacceptable for *** to deliver a product like this for a customer.. We were told to bring it back next week to address these issues as they would have to order parts and confirm warranty coverage with Thor. I called *** on 2 occasions, emailed on 4 explaining these issues, All they would say, is were so sorry, so sorry. I asked them if *** called for warranty info on my camper. In September , I bought a 2018 Thor Freedom Elite 23H from a dealer in Greenwood IN
In September , I bought a 2018 Thor Freedom Elite 23H (HDC66789) from a dealership in Greenwood IN. A month later, I returned it to the dealership's Service Department due to leaking sinks and loose interior walls. The vehicle spent three weeks there before being returned to me. Over two years, the more we used the vehicle, the noisier the interior became, and closing doors, cabinets, the fridge, and drawers became difficult. Gaps formed between the side walls and the bunk area, which started to leak. The vehicle had also shifted about an inch backwards, allowing us to see the ground through a crack. On January 11, I left the vehicle at the dealership's Service Department in Greenwood IN. On February 12, I was told by the External Service Advisor that my extended warranty would only cover the leaking faucet, with other issues being declined. The service team discovered extensive mold and water damage in the bunk area due to leaks. They reported that the bunk repair would be extensive and advised me to file an insurance claim. They also found that during construction, the fastening points missed their targets, causing everything to shift during transit. Thor declined to repair this. I reached out to Thor on February 23 and spoke with Nate, who did not follow up as promised. On March 2, after a long wait on the phone, I was informed that only 6 of the 18 hours needed to fix the side 'wings' were approved, which did not address the bunk issue. I was then advised to speak with Jim Ashenbure, the owner relation supervisor, but no further approvals were obtained.

I purchased a 2020 Thor Axis 24.1 on 01/03
I purchased a 2020 Thor Axis 24.1 on 01/03. Due to the fact that the RV I was trading in on this new vehicle was in for repair, waiting for parts and was robbed while there I actually took possession of the Axis on 03/21. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, it set in my driveway for two months until the city of Ormond Beach made me move it from my driveway. So before I took it to storage I checked everything out on the RV and found many items that needed attention. The generator ran for about twenty minutes and quit. The house batteries were completely drained dead. There was no power to the dash to run my cameras and I hit the gutter on my house with damage and also bent the ladder on the back of the RV because I had no camera to see. I noticed the license plate light fixture was cracked from the factory using a power tool to mount it. The screen for the front passenger window was missing. The curtain lining on the front passenger side just fell apart. The sink cover sticks and when opened has pieces breaking from it. There are broken tabletop holders in the closet. The bedroom kitchen curtain will not close properly. When I drove the unit to RV One in Casselberry, FL an end cap broke off the awning. Last week when I drove it to Daytona Beach to see about getting the generator fixed the shelf edges fell off the kitchen cabinet. I've called Thor Warranty at least four times and just basically get a runaround and as of yet, nothing has been repaired. On the brand new generator, the fuel pump is bad and on backorder with none to be found in the world. I drove clear from Ormond Beach, FL to Casselberry, FL towing my Jeep with the agreement to drop off the RV and leave it there until it was fixed. When I got there I was told I couldn't leave the RV there because they were too crowded but that they would put their best and fastest tech on it. Four hours later I was told that I had power to the dash because a breaker was tripped. So I had to drive all the way back to Ormond Beach with nothing but a breaker switch reset and once again had to call and wait on the phone with Thor trying to get this thing fixed. I haven't even been able to use this RV yet and it's falling apart. I call Thor and they'll tell me to try another dealership and the same thing happens all over again. This RV will be out of warranty and still not fixed. I am beside myself with this RV! I am 70 years old and I can't take this terrible service from Thor Motorcoach.

In brief; I have had electrical issues in my 2020 Thor Quantum since I purchased it
In brief; I have had electrical issues in my 2020 Thor Quantum since I purchased it. Caused by faulty routing of the battery cable over the manifold. I would be driving down the road and my radio would "POP" and every once in a while it would "REBOOT" as if I turned of the master switch, at the same time my interment cluster would "REBOOT" as if I turned the key off and on again, I would not lose power. THOR support though it was the 12volt illumination wire from the radio to the dimmer. It was NOT, it was the heat generated by the battery cable touching the manifold. I have reported this issue several times over the year, Gander (my local service provider) would not cut the 12volt cable as THOR suggested even though I gave them THOR's instructions. They said it was a "personal option". I even had the truck into a *** dealer to test the truck battery because It was dead in Jan 202 and Feb 2020. We took the RV on several weekend trips and one from Ohio to Arizona, California, Nevada, and Colorado (2weeks) at altitudes of above 10,000', with the above issues. (Engen cutting out for up to a second.) On my 2nd trip to Colorado, after boondocking for a week we were driving to Mt Rushmore in Wyoming. On the way I lost power in the coach. I called THOR and they had me look at the coach/house batteries and I noticed that a cable was melting. They suggested I get a mobile repair service to look at it. While driving to meet them, unknown to us, the battery cable from the truck battery to the coach batteries was burnt compleatly through by the manifold which resulted in a complete shutdown of the truck. I got an emergency TOW to get off the highway and to an hotel were we had to stay for 3 nights trying to get the RV repaired. I finally got the RV to RUSH *** in Denver, rented a car to finish our drive to Mt. Rushmore. We had planned to return to Colorado for another week of boondocking but cut our vacation a week short since we did not have the RV. While THOR did reimburse me for the repair of the RV. I submitted a list of unanticipated expenses including, Cancelation fees at RV parks (55), Hotel (584.36), Cab (81.25), Car Rental (663.94), Air Line Tickets (Ohio to Denver to get RV) (671.50). I did not submit FOOD, (We had to throw out a weeks worth of food from the RV.) GAS, (I would have used that anyway.) TOWs (All covered by Insurance) Total Excess Expenses $1,861.54 I have photos if needed. THOR has ALL of my calls and reports in there logs. The cable did not burn through until I had almost 9000 miles (in one year).

2021 Thor *** has never ending issues since day one. 19 months and Freightliner TPMS system still not fixed. Refrigerator broke on 2nd trip. No heat on first trip due to circuit board had poor connect and had one wire harness not even connected. What was funny the Quility Control that employee signed off of right next to wiring. Camping World Indy I dont think every did PDI on unit. Main slide broke on 4th trip and had to have motor etc replaced. Cabinet bottom fell out on 4th trip. Toilet in main bathroom wont flush properly and you have to flush so many times you almost empty out your fresh water tank. Had coolant light on from day one and after two trips finally found leak. Coolant reservoir ran dry on 2nd trip. I can go on and on. Beware the quality has been poor and Thor is interested in quantity over quality.
My *** was purchased new in 2018. We have had many issues with different systems, but the worst was with the Main slide on the driver's side. There have been several leaks, but the failure to extend or retract has cost quite a bit for out-of-warranty service. Two different dealerships have tried to get support for this design defect. Finally it was revealed there is a shim kit available to true the slide to prevent binding. Over the course of the aggravating ordeal the unit was out of service more than 6 weeks, and we have been stranded on 2 occasions.Very poor quality control, very poor customer service. Never again.
