PPL Motor Homes Review: Disappointing Inspection Process and Unacceptable Business Practices
I recently had an experience with PPL Motor Homes and I have to say, I was not impressed. We decided to purchase a travel trailer from them and paid for an inspection to be done before the final pre-purchase review with the customer. The inspection was supposed to include a list of items that were noted as working or not working at the time of the review. However, we found out that the reviewer did not measure the refrigerator and freezer temperatures, which was one of the items on the list provided by PPL.
The final inspection process can be overwhelming for a new owner as it reviews the entire workings of the trailer. We were excited to use our new-to-us travel trailer for the first time this weekend, but unfortunately, we discovered that the refrigerator does not work. To make matters worse, we also noticed that one of the handles for the sewer lines was missing. This is unacceptable business practice and we were extremely disappointed.
Overall, I would not recommend PPL Motor Homes based on our experience. It's important for businesses to follow through on their promises and provide accurate information to their customers. We trusted PPL to provide a thorough inspection and unfortunately, they fell short. We hope that they will take steps to improve their processes and ensure that future customers have a better experience.
Disappointing Experience with PPL Motor Homes - Would Not Recommend for Repairs
We had a pretty rough experience with PPL Motor Homes (pplmotorhomes.com) last winter. We had made an appointment to get our vehicle serviced and they ended up having it for a whopping 6 weeks! We were pretty anxious to get it back, so we made several calls to check on the status and get an estimate. Unfortunately, they rarely returned our calls, which was pretty frustrating.
When we finally picked up our RV, we were pretty disappointed to see that the dashboard fabric was torn and the dash itself was scratched. While they had repaired the strut on the passenger side, the one on the driver's side was broken. This was especially frustrating because it wasn't even an issue when we had brought it in for service.
We made another appointment to get the broken strut fixed and brought it in on Monday/Tuesday. We left 5 messages asking for an estimate, but never heard back. Our final call was to tell them that we were going to pick it up and take it somewhere else. It was pretty obvious that no one was listening to our messages because they seemed surprised when we showed up to pick it up.
Overall, we were pretty disappointed with our experience at PPL Motor Homes. We would definitely not recommend taking your rig there for repairs. It's a shame because we had heard good things about them before, but our experience was pretty frustrating. We ended up finding another repair service that was much more responsive and did a great job fixing our RV.
Exceptional Service and Fast Delivery from PPL Motor Homes
I stumbled upon PPL Motor Homes (pplmotorhomes.com) while scouring the vast expanse of the internet for a new toilet for our trusty RV. The price was just right and the brand was top-notch, so I decided to reach out to one of their sales associates for some additional advice. I was greeted by a friendly and professional lady who patiently answered all my questions and provided me with all the information I needed. She was hands down the best service rep I have ever dealt with when it comes to actual, genuine assistance.
To my surprise, the shipment arrived the very next day! I was blown away by the speed and efficiency of their delivery service. PPL Motor Homes exceeded all my expectations and I am already planning on doing more business with them in the near future. I have also spread the word about their excellent service to all my RV friends.
Thank you, PPL Motor Homes, for providing such a wonderful experience. Keep up the great job! Ronald Halfmann, Austin, Texas.
Mixed Experience: Dometic CT Single Zone Thermostat Control Kit Review & Ordering from PPL Motor Homes
ordering from PPL Motor Homes again.
I recently purchased the Dometic CT Single Zone Thermostat Control Kit from PPL Motor Homes. The item number is ***. 700 and the manufacturer's number is ***. 700. This kit is designed to control your Dometic heating or cooling appliances, giving you complete control over the temperature in your mobile living space, no matter where you are.
One of the features of this kit is that it is Bluetooth enabled, which means you can control it from your smartphone or tablet. However, when I received the kit, I discovered that it did not have Bluetooth, which was disappointing. Another issue I had was that the shipping box was torn up, which made me concerned about the condition of the product inside. Additionally, the instructions that came with the kit were not very detailed, which made installation more difficult than it needed to be.
Despite these issues, the Dometic CT Single Zone Thermostat Control Kit is a great product. It has a low profile design and a large LCD display, which makes it easy to use. The singular control feature is also very convenient, as it allows you to control both the heat and the cooling with one device.
Overall, I would recommend the Dometic CT Single Zone Thermostat Control Kit to anyone who needs to control the temperature in their mobile living space. However, I would caution against ordering from PPL Motor Homes again, as my experience with them was not great.
Disappointing Experience with PPL Motor Homes: Lack of Product Information and Reviews
I gotta say, I was pretty bummed out by my recent experience with PPL Motor Homes. I was thinking about buying something from their parts department, but when I checked out their product listing, I was pretty disappointed. All they had was the product and the price - no detailed description or anything!
And to make matters worse, their prices just aren't as good as they used to be. I've been keeping an eye on them for the past few months, and they're just not as competitive as other retail suppliers.
But the real kicker? They don't have any customer reviews of their products! I mean, come on - other retailers have tons of reviews from actual customers who have used the product. How am I supposed to know if something is worth buying if I can't see what other people thought of it?
Honestly, I'm pretty disenchanted with PPL Motor Homes at this point. I've bought a lot of stuff from them over the years, but this new online retail system just isn't cutting it for me. If they don't step up their game soon, they're gonna lose a long-time customer like me.
Smooth Checkout Process, but Shipping Container Needs Improvement: My Review of PPL Motor Homes
I gotta say, PPL Motor Homes (pplmotorhomes.com) website was pretty good. I was able to find what I was looking for and the checkout process was smooth. Payment and shipping options were also good. However, I had an issue with the shipping container. It seems like at some point during the journey from Texas to Nevada, a fork lift was used to move the unit. Unfortunately, the fork lift "forks" didn't lift the unit properly. The fork wasn't completely positioned under the lower wood frame, and as a result, the unit was lifted by the cardboard bottom. This caused a severe dent in the compressor mount plate.
Now, I'm no expert in RV mechanics, but I am a 50-year FAA certified aircraft mechanic. I have the tools and experience to correct the problem, which is exactly what I did. I installed the unit on the coach, and it's working well now. However, I think it's important to let PPL Motor Homes know about this issue so they can modify their shipping container. If you want to see the pictures of the fork dent in the cardboard, I'd be happy to send them over.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase from PPL Motor Homes, but I do hope they take my feedback into consideration. Thanks, Gary.
Disappointing Experience with PPL Motor Homes: Lack of Communication and Disregard for Customer's Time
I recently visited the Summerfield FL office of PPL Motor Homes (pplmotorhomes.com) to sell my RV. Amanda did an appraisal and we discussed the options of being on Consignment versus them buying it. They gave me a tentative price for buying and said they would need to do a 19 point inspection and would call me back by the next morning, Friday. However, I was disappointed when that morning came and went without any return calls. I called to follow up, but still no response. The weekend went by, and even though they are open on Saturdays, I still did not hear from them. Monday was a holiday, so I waited until Tuesday to call again. I tried both her office and her cell phone, but still no answer. In total, I made 10 calls!
I was supposed to leave on a trip on Wednesday morning, but they had my RV. Finally, on Wednesday late morning, Amanda answered my call. She said she had family issues, but to me, that does not excuse not returning all those calls. Someone else in the office could have easily called. All the staff members I met were very polite and seemed knowledgeable, but not returning a call when promised is not acceptable. Remember, they were holding my RV the whole time.
When I finally talked to Amanda, I told her to call the office and tell them I would be picking up my RV and paperwork and would not take their consignment offer. I could not work with a company that was so inconsiderate of my time. They could have cared less.
Overall, my experience with PPL Motor Homes was disappointing. While the staff members were polite and knowledgeable, their lack of communication and disregard for my time was unacceptable. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.
Disappointing Experience with PPL Motor Homes: Lack of Support and Damaged Product
I recently reached out to PPL Motor Homes to inquire about adding a second A/C to my fifth wheel. The customer service representative was able to provide me with the necessary items needed for the installation, including a 13.5 a/c, 2-controllers, thermostat, and grill cover. They also assured me that they would be available to assist with any questions I may have throughout the installation process.
However, when my products arrived, I was disappointed to find that the grill was damaged and there were no installation instructions included in any of the product boxes. When I called customer service, I was put on hold for 45 minutes before finally speaking with someone about my concerns. Unfortunately, I was informed that they do not provide support for installation and that all sales are final, including the damaged grill. I was advised to contact the freight company to file a claim, even though there was no damage to the package.
Feeling frustrated, I turned to another vendor for help with my installation questions, even though they did not sell any of the products. It was a relief to finally get the answers I needed, but it was disappointing that PPL Motor Homes was not able to provide the support they had promised.
Overall, I am not satisfied with my experience with PPL Motor Homes. While they were able to provide me with the necessary items for my installation, the lack of support and damaged product left me feeling disappointed. I will likely not be making any additional purchases from them in the future. It seems that Camping World is a better option for those looking for a class act in the RV industry.
Disappointing Packaging for Propane Tank from PPL Motor Homes
I recently purchased a 5 gallon chassis mounted propane tank from PPL Motor Homes and I must say, they offered the best price on this product that I could find, by a lot. However, I was quite disappointed with the way the tank was packaged. I mean, I would have gladly paid more for it if it would have meant the tank would have been packed with care. But alas, that was not the case.
When the package arrived, I was shocked at how poorly this thing was sent to me. The horizontally oriented propane tank was standing on its side (the mounting bracket) with no protection whatsoever. The tank's mounting bracket was literally resting on the cardboard, which was resting on the ground. There is a trail of holes where the mounting bracket bolt punctured the cardboard each time the box was picked up and set down. It was quite evident that the tank was not packed with care.
Floating freely in the oversized box were 4 styrofoam pieces that filled less than 50% of the empty space in the box around the tank. So the tank was basically flopping around in this empty box, which meant that the box collapsed on itself when the delivery folks grabbed it and picked it up. By the time the package reached my doorstep, the box was in tatters, and it's *notthe fault of the delivery folks. A well-packaged box would not have had this problem.
Now, I am in the awkward position of doubting whether my tank is fit for use. Ultimately, I have to take time out of my day to bring it to a professional to inspect it and test whether the tank is operational and safe. This thing is supposed to hold and dispense highly pressurized flammable gas. Who in their right mind would approve such half-assed packaging?
Despite the poor packaging, I must say that PPL Motor Homes offered the best price on this product. However, I would advise them to improve their packaging methods to ensure that their customers receive their products in good condition.
Avoid PPL Motor Homes: A Nightmare Experience with RV Repairs
RVing is a passion of mine, but my experience with PPL Motor Homes has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. My unit has been in their shop for almost a year now, undergoing what I thought were simple repairs. I initially brought it in because the generator needed work, two of the slides weren't functioning properly, and the auto leveling system required two jacks to be replaced. The total cost of repairs came to a whopping $8000, with the jacks being the most expensive part, as they had to be custom made.
I picked up my unit in October of 2017, after several promised completion dates were missed. However, as soon as I got it home and began loading it up for a camping trip, I noticed that the water tanks were not filling up properly. It turns out that PPL Motor Homes had shut off all the valves to the tank, causing it to blow up like a balloon and punch a hole through the floor. When I called them to report the issue, they denied having touched the valves and claimed that they would review the security tape. I knew they were lying, as the unit had been in their possession for over three months and it wasn't possible to watch all the footage. The damage cost me $10k, and while I can't prove that they caused it, they did work in that area.
To make matters worse, when I tried to open one of the slides, I discovered that the ram they had used was too big and had almost pushed the entire slide out of the RV. They promised to fix the issue and repair the damage caused by installing the wrong ram, but it still hasn't been done.
After countless attempts to contact them, I finally received a phone call informing me that my RV was ready. However, when I saw the pictures, I was shocked. They had taken the unit apart and left their tools and grease everywhere. There was even blood from one of the mechanics on the kitchen counter top. They had left a pile of screws and bolts from not putting the bed back together properly. It was a mess, and I couldn't believe they expected me to accept it in that condition.
They have promised to put everything back together, except for the damage caused by the valves being turned off (which they deny doing), and to repair the damage caused by the wrong ram. They also said they would clean up all the grease and blood and deliver it to me or my handyman so that he can repair the floor.
In conclusion, if you enjoy being taken advantage of and own an RV, then PPL Motor Homes is the place for you. However, if you value your time and money, I would strongly advise staying away from them. I am sharing this post everywhere I can, as I don't want anyone else to go through what I have.
PPL Motor Homes Complaints 10
Disappointing Experience with PPL Motor Homes: Order Issues and Unhelpful Customer Service
I gotta say, I had a bit of a rough time with PPL Motor Homes. This was my second attempt to place an order, and even though it went through on my end, something went wrong on theirs. I didn't find out until five days later when I got an email reminder that the item was still in my cart. I mean, come on, guys, that's not a great look.
So I called up customer service to see what was going on, and let me tell you, they were not very helpful. I'm not sure if it was just the person I talked to or if that's how they all are, but either way, it wasn't a great experience.
Now, I'm not one to judge a company based on one bad experience, but I have to admit, I'm a little hesitant to do business with PPL Motor Homes again. If their system doesn't work properly and their customer service isn't up to par, how can I trust them to get me what I need in a timely manner?
All that being said, I do still need the item I ordered to get my trailer back on the road, so I guess I'll just have to hope for the best. But if you're considering ordering from PPL Motor Homes, just be aware that there may be some bumps in the road.
Efficient and Professional Service: My Experience with PPL Motor Homes
I had a recent experience with PPL Motor Homes that I wanted to share. My Splendide washer/dryer in my 2002 Monaco Windsor M/H developed a water leak while I was in Yuma, AZ. I called a technician to repair the leak, but he suggested that since the machine was getting old, it might be better to replace it altogether. He recommended that I order a new one from PPL Motorhomes, so I decided to take his advice.
I called PPL and was pleasantly surprised by the fair price they quoted me for a new machine. They also promised to deliver it to my RV lot in just a matter of days. I was impressed with their efficiency and professionalism throughout the entire purchase and shipment process.
When the new machine arrived, I was thrilled with its quality and performance. It was a perfect fit for my RV and worked like a charm. I couldn't be happier with my decision to order from PPL Motor Homes.
Overall, I highly recommend PPL Motor Homes to anyone in need of RV parts or accessories. Their prices are fair, their customer service is top-notch, and their products are of the highest quality. Thanks, PPL, for making my RV life a little bit easier!
Mixed Experience with PPL Motor Homes: Easy Navigation, But Payment Process Leaves Me Uneasy
So, I gotta say, my experience with PPL Motor Homes (pplmotorhomes.com) has been a bit of a mixed bag. I recently tried to make a purchase, and while it seemed like everything went smoothly, I never received any confirmation and no money was taken from my account. Weird, right?
Anyway, I decided to try again a week later, and while the website remembered all of my address and payment info (which was nice), it didn't seem to remember my previous order. I didn't have any auto fill options turned on, so I'm not sure what happened there.
Now, I'm just hoping that my second attempt at ordering actually goes through. It would be a real bummer if I ended up getting charged twice for the same thing. A follow-up from PPL Motor Homes would be greatly appreciated, just to put my mind at ease.
All in all, I'm not sure if I would recommend PPL Motor Homes to others. While the website is easy to navigate and the selection seems decent, the whole payment process has left me feeling a bit uneasy. Hopefully, everything works out in the end.

Review of PPL Motor Homes: Helpful Customer Service and Wide Product Selection
I had a question about the stacking bracket and I reached out to PPL Motor Homes for an answer. We got our Whirlpool washer from them back in January of 2017, but unfortunately, we've had to replace it twice in the past two years. We decided to stick with Whirlpool this time around, as we had some bad experiences with Splendide. I was curious if the stacking bracket we had would work with our new unit, and I tried leaving a message, but it seemed like the system wasn't receiving it. I guess I was wrong to assume that shipping was free, but I was wondering if there were any purchases that would qualify for free shipping.
Overall, I've had a pretty good experience with PPL Motor Homes. They've been helpful in answering my questions, and I appreciate that they offer a wide variety of products. I do wish that their website was a little easier to navigate, though. Sometimes it can be a bit confusing to find what I'm looking for. But all in all, I would recommend PPL Motor Homes to anyone in the market for RV appliances and accessories.
Misleading Advertising: Smart Tote 'Premium' Model for $99.00 - Buyer Beware!
Y'all really got me good this time, and I know it was on purpose. I was browsing through your website, pplmotorhomes.com, and saw that you were advertising the smart tote 'premium' model for only $99.00. I thought to myself, "Wow, what a great deal!" So, I clicked on the video to learn more about it. The video started playing, and it was describing the smart tote 2 LX. I didn't think much of it, because I figured it was just another name for the same product. But then, at the very end of the video, the narrator mentioned that there was another old version of the smart tote.
Well, I guess I didn't catch that part, because I went ahead and ordered the product. When it arrived, I was disappointed to find out that I had received the old 2 wheel version, instead of the newer model that was advertised in the video. I was pretty upset about it, but when I looked into returning it, I realized that the cost of restocking and shipping would make it too expensive to send back.
I have to say, y'all really got me good this time. I've ordered from you before, and I never had any issues. But now, I don't think I'll be ordering from you again. Trick me once, shame on you. Trick me twice, shame on me.
Mixed Feelings About PPL Motor Homes: Misleading Product Description and Additional Shipping Cost
I recently made a purchase from PPL Motor Homes and I have mixed feelings about my experience. I ordered an AC unit and was under the impression that it would come with both the inside and outside components, as the photo on the website showed both parts. However, when the package arrived, I realized that only the outside unit was included. I searched the website for any indication that the inside unit was not included, but I couldn't find any information.
I was disappointed that I had to order the inside unit separately and pay an additional $10 for shipping. If I had known that it wasn't included, I would have ordered both parts at the same time to avoid the extra cost. I feel like the photo and description of the product were misleading and didn't accurately represent what I was actually purchasing.
Despite this issue, I will say that the ordering process was relatively easy and the product arrived in a timely manner. However, I do wish that the website was more clear about what was included in the purchase and what wasn't. Overall, I would recommend PPL Motor Homes, but with the caveat that customers should double-check what they are actually ordering to avoid any surprises.
Disappointed with PPL Motor Homes: Wrong Fridge Size and Brand Received
I recently bought a bigger fridge for my RV from PPL Motor Homes. I was very careful to specify the exact measurements I needed when I placed the order. However, when the fridge arrived, I was disappointed to find out that it was a Dometic fridge, which is not what I ordered. To make matters worse, the fridge was much smaller than what I needed.
I spent a whole month researching and comparing prices to avoid getting scammed, but it seems like I still fell victim to it. I could have easily bought the same fridge for a couple hundred dollars cheaper elsewhere. I feel like I wasted my time and money on this purchase.
Although I don't want to go through the hassle of returning the fridge, I can't help but feel like I got ripped off by PPL Motor Homes. It's frustrating to think that I could have saved money and avoided this whole mess if I had just bought from a different company. Thanks a lot, PPL Motor Homes!
PPL Motor Homes' Poor Service: Defective Toilet and No Compensation
I've been installing RV equipment for over 20 years and have been a customer of PPL Motor Homes for a decade. Unfortunately, my recent experience with them has left me feeling quite disappointed. They sold me a defective Thetford toilet and then made me go through the hassle of dealing with Thetford to get it replaced. This is not good service at all.
To make matters worse, it's been a month since the replacement was supposed to arrive, and my client still doesn't have a working toilet. As a protest against Thetford, I've decided to purchase a Dometic toilet instead. If PPL Motor Homes doesn't do something to compensate me or my client, I'll be leaving some not-so-nice comments and reviews about them.
It's frustrating to see a company that talks a big game online not stand behind the products they sell. As a small business owner, I can't afford to keep going into my own pocket to fix problems caused by someone else's mistakes. Shame on you, PPL Motor Homes.
PPL Motor Homes Review: Great Selection, Frustrating Customer Service
I recently had an experience with PPL Motor Homes (pplmotorhomes.com) that left me feeling a bit frustrated. I had a question about the difference between three different part numbers for a Suburban IW-60, and I used the "contact us" email form to ask. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a response for a couple of days, so I decided to call instead.
When I called, I was transferred to the "parts department", but my call immediately went to somebody's voicemail. I left a message explaining my issue and left my name and number, but I didn't receive a response for several days. This was especially frustrating because it included a weekend, but also at least two business days.
In the end, I decided to just guess which part I needed and bought one. While I was able to find what I needed on the PPL Motor Homes website, I was disappointed that I wasn't able to get a clear answer to my question before making my purchase.
Despite this experience, I do think that PPL Motor Homes has a great selection of RV parts and accessories available online. If you know exactly what you need, it's easy to find and order it on their website. However, if you have any questions or concerns, it may be difficult to get a timely response from their customer service team.
Overall, I would recommend PPL Motor Homes for their wide selection and competitive prices, but be prepared to do your own research and make your own decisions without much guidance from their customer service team.
Cautionary Tale: My Experience Selling with PPL Motor Homes
I recently had an experience with PPL Motor Homes when I was looking to sell my Airstream camper. I reached out to Nancy, who is the listings manager, to get an idea of what I could expect to sell it for and how long it might take. She told me that based on previous sales, I could expect to get between $20-25K and that it would sell in about 30-45 days.
I was interested in seeing the data on the last year of sales for Airstreams, including the listing price, selling price, and days on the market. However, when I asked Nancy to send me this information, her tone changed quickly. She told me that it was "proprietary information" and that I should go somewhere else to sell my camper.
Feeling frustrated, I decided to take her advice and list my camper on RV Trader. To my surprise, I sold it in just two days for $40,000 and received more legitimate offers than I had with PPL Motor Homes.
Overall, I would caution anyone who is considering working with PPL Motor Homes to be careful. While they may have some good deals, it's important to keep your hand on your wallet and be aware of any potential red flags. In my experience, it was clear that they were not willing to provide me with the information I needed to make an informed decision about selling my camper.
