I moved to north Houston over a month ago, to a subdivision that has the community mail boxes. I was told that in order to receive mail, my box would have to be re-keyed. Despite repeated phone calls and conversations with our local carrier, we have still not received a key to our box, and cannot receive mail.

I posted a letter with US Postal service on the 22 Oct 2015 to Newark NJ. This package was to be delivered on 23 Oct 2015. I was assured that it will arrive between 12 Noon and 4 Pm. However, I call the person at 151 Clifton Ave Newark NJ and they said nothing came in the mail at noon and the person call me back at 445 when they were closing and claimed they did not received the package. I went to post office next morning and they say they do not know as yet. When the person says they receive it come back and you would get the money. I receive an email when they received the package on the 26 Oct, however, I was away when the email arrived. On the 30 Oct I went to the post office and they claim that GPS tells them that the POST man was in the area at 10 Am so they cannot refund me back the money. I do not believe that the post man was at the building where the item was supposed to be delivered. I had another incident where the post man did not want to deliver mail receipt for a package to pick up at the post office. He claimed he does not know if anyone lives at that address and does not know if they are home so he sent back the package. That package cost me $87.00. I lose that money. I do not see the need to use the Post office when I lose money like this. This package was not delivered to Newark because if he delivered it the security guard would have signed for it neither was there any note left for the person to know that a letter is pending for them to pick up. The tracking number is EK [protected] US. Tax payer dollars are help to run the post office and the people working there should try to deliver the package. Thanks! Sudash

I live in San Rafael, New Mexico (zip: 87051), and the small post office there is never open. It is posted that they are supposed to close at 3pm but I have went in as early as noon and no one is there and the doors are locked. It is difficult to pick up large packages and I have spent as much as a week trying to pick up just one box. If this can be straightened out in whatever way I would be very grateful.

We mailed a box to our son who is staying in a motel in Wadford City, North Dakota. We mailed it Priority Mail to make sure it got there. The box traveled over a thousand miles to Wadford City, North Dakota. Rather than deliver the box, the post office returned it the same day. I don't know how, but it must have been easier for the post office to return the package that it was to simply put it in the motel's box.

Mail between anywhere and Houston is absolutely the worst. Mail arrives very very late if at all. I have sent mail that was received a month later on several occassions. Even people sending me mail from Houston have the same problem...it doesn't show up at all or it comes weeks later. A first class letter shouldn't take weeks to reach its destination. Success rate for delivery is about 60%.

I agree with you. The Post Office needs to be Privities. Most of the Government Employees just don't care. They get paid well if they do a good job or bad. I can't get my mail. I talked to the postmaster at 16015 CAIRNWAY DR HOUSTON, TX [protected] First of all he it look like he was drunk and trying to sober up. He took my number down and said he call me. I knew he wasn't going to call this was two weeks ago.

Take the Post Office out of the hands of the Government. Government Employees have no incentives to do well. Most of there job position is who you know. Knowledgeable person need not apply. Give the job to family member friend or sex partner.

Good Luck my friends we are all dome

Amazon.com is placing packages in my mailbox. Amazon has their own carrier called AMZL_US and they are not authorized to use my mailbox for delivery. I told the delivery driver that placing items in my mailbox is a violation of the law but they continue to do it. I am livid over this. I notified Amazon of this practice, they have not yet responded.

We have a wonderful REGULAR carrier. He delivers mail AND picks up our outgoing mail. BUT every time we get a substitute carrier, they Never pick up our outgoing mail, NEVER! We have had to pay late fees because of this. No one cares. We are now disabled and can not drive to the post office. Postage go's up, service goes down. Guess I have to pay my bills online. What has happened to Houston, or USPS?

How come the Carrier never looks at the name on the mail when delivering it. I live in an Apartment and get other peoples important mail all the time and I could steal there entire lives with what is put in my box alone! I would think the Post Office Would want to put A STOP TO IDENTITY THEFT BUT... apparently NOT... since I am blocked in every way from asking THEM, about this!

1. the post person puts some of my mail in the wrong mailbox. I have seen mail left on top of the mailboxes. People that no longer live in the building for weeks. My name is on the box and in the box. Why am I not getting my mail? Why is someone else getting my mail.?

I live in the near northside of Houston 77009 area code. The mail carrier is on a weekly basis placing mail that does not belong to us.I have heard this from other residents in this area. Her fellow co-wokers claim she is lazy and wants the residents to do the work for her.Sometimes she arrives with her boom box blasting. This is a disrespect to our community. The mail carrier needs to be removed or retrained Please can any one help.We are gathering a petition to voice our complaint.
