United States Postal Service [USPS] delivery

I have had to call my local post office post master on 3 separate ocassions on misdelivered mail or missing mail. SO far no change in there services. The week before Christmas I recieved all of my neighbors mail to the west of me and my neighdor the the east of me recieved all of my mail. Then the week of New Years I had a perfessional certificate come in the mail first class that stated DO NOT BEND OFFICIAL DOCUMENT of couse it was folded in half and torn open then on 1-3-08 I recieved more of my neighbors mail. The united states postal service delivery for residential is a joke. I have never had issues like this until having to deal with this post office off of Davis Blvd. in North Richland Hilld TX 76180.

United States Postal Service [USPS] erratic/ non delivery of mail

Mail carrier put other people's mail in my box and gives others my mail. I have had checks opened by others, mail not forward when I have turned in a request, and mail not held at all.I have complained to the post master and his superior
and the carrior " Lorette" has not improved at all. I just came home from vacation to find mail in my box for 6 different people with total different names and address then mine...also a un-stamped Chirstmas card from the carrier in my box.

United States Postal Service [USPS] opening of mail/ misdeliveries

I can only assume that the postal carriers think, I stupid or they just don't give a shirt!

for the past 4 months in 2008. My personal mail comes in my box open! if its from a law office its open, if its a personal letter its open If its my car note payment books its open and payment books are missing.

I have place a written memo in my mail box so the carrier can read this letter. He pulled it out of the box and I have posted another memo warning. I am contacting the uspostal 800 number to issue a complaint.

I don't understanding why my mail needs to be read by the carrier. If mail is damaged they are supposed to seal it up! But, no the ignore SOB! just place the letter open in my box. THe law office sending me the correspondence said, those letters were sealed. My person correspondence from a family member was also, open on several occassionals.

What can I do get make my point with the post office that my privacy is not protected but, open and read?

My mail has also been openeind and left open in aan inconsiderate manner in order to let me know it's been opened. I order books critical of the government so this doesn't surprise me one bit but it abgers the hell out of me to recieve care packages from friends and family only to have the food items opened and thrown all over the inside of the box. This is the package(containing a reading light) I just recieved in the mail and the pathetic manner in which I recieved it.

Unfortunately, I was a first-time victim of stolen gifts this year. Several boxes I sent to different parts of the country arrived missing several items and had things replaced instead of the original hand-made/sentimental gifts I sent. In one case a basil seedling plant was stolen and replaced with a blue book value on motorcycles and ATV’s… the gift wa...

United States Postal Service [USPS] damaged and missing mail

I would like for file a formal complaint. My family has had poor service the past few YEARS. We have tried to live with it since USPS just doesn't value its customer any longer.

In August, a sympathy card was sent from ELGIN, IL 60123 and delivered to us in SEPTEMBER. This is awful service. We have had payments delivered weeks and up to months after being sent via the postal service. We have reverted to FedEx for this and the much better customer service for our important deliveries.

As for cards and letters we are using email.

Today was the stresser for me. I received and anticipated newsletter that was ripped and shredded. The letter on the Envelope aske ME the RECIPIENT to better package my news letters that I plan on receiving.

This is absurd and ridiculous. The Postal Service has a responsibility to its customers. I will be contacting the Post Master General and the States Attourneys Office if service to and from our address does not get better. Our letter carrier is great but your lines people and employees at the postal offices and on the road need SERIOUS work in dealing with sensitive documents.

This is why I will decline to accept anymore increases in postal fees. I will pay higher rates you your competitor FedEx to ensure my deliveries are treated with a sence of urgency.

Postal Customer

P.S. This is posted to several complaint blogs and will find its way to our state and federal government.

Just heard something landing on my front porch. Got up to see a postal vehicle in front of my house. The person had thrown a package at my front door. Not, exactly, professional. Happens way too often.

United States Postal Service [USPS] rude, poor service

I take my post office business (and a lot of it) to the post office in Vernon Hills, Illinois where I have yet to be greeted by a pleasant, helpful, employee. I only use that office because I have a lot of items to ship (I am an ebay trading assistant.) and it is close to my home..
Today, I arrived at the office 15 minutes early and waited at the door for the employee to open it (exactly on time, not a second early even though there were 4 people standing behind me to enter.)
I had an express mail, prepaid envelope going to China, with all of the papers that only needed to be put in the special envelope and entered in the computer.
The employee JOANNE told me that I could go and she would enter it later as she wanted to take care of the people behind me in line. I asked her to please do it while I was standing there as I was worried that if she got busy, my parcel could get separated from its address papers. She insisted that I leave and she would do it later. I asked her again to please do it while I was standing there so I could get the receipt back. She got very annoyed and rude.
Does she work for no pay? I don't understand how a person who gets paid for their job has the nerve to be rude to customers.
I have had other dealings with women at that office who were also very rude. I don't think they should have those jobs whlle so many people are out of work and would love to have a job like that.
These people are lazy and rude and shouldn't have government jobs.
Sincerely
Arlene Marshack

United States Postal Service [USPS] no mail delivery

We regularly get no mail delivery to our neighborhood. We had none on Tues, Nov 11 because it was a holiday, then we had none delivered on Wed, Nov 12 either! The box is right outside our condo unit, so I could watch other residents leave with no mail after checking their boxes, too.
This has happened several times. Perhaps our condo unit mailbox is at the end of the route, but we deserve our mail regardless! Usually we get a huge amount the day after no delivery and its crammed into our tiny box, ruining items such as greeting cards.

RE: Appeal of the Decision on Article Number: CH131132636US
Dear Sir / Madam,
The Supervisor, International Claims.
It is very inappropriate to see your undisturbed response to all that happened to me and my son. I am writing to let you know that you and your organization is responsible for these damages and will be held accountable and as such bring a positive change to your usual nonchalant and unprofessional services to a global respected and trusted people with unorganized facilitation.
As your denied letter does not make sense to the two claims which I have the evidence. With the date of fast paid and mailed package in months instead of days is enough to erase your discriminative statement of date of delivery. That only is a mare wickedness to indicate that you do not care and are not responsible for urgency and significant mission of United States Postal Service mission. Be careful of this discrimination and investigate our claim with the immigration information’s which I gave to you and be accountable for what you caused me and my son.
Exhibit 1. A copy of my first claim for you see the date of the mail and its arrival and that of the indemnity instructions. As the first mail was proposed and paid to arrive its destination 10 to 14 days at the most. To allow my son to use the documents for his medical and interview appointment on May 5th, 2021
Exhibit 11. is a copy of your letter dated May 21, 2021 from your Customers Services Representative confirming that the package has not been delivered as of the above date which made your organization accountable for the cancellation of my son immigration appointment? As the massive also instructed me to continue the confirmed paid undelivered package as it was expatiated to arrive in time for a purpose.
Exhibit 111. to let you know the lies on the statement of you denied letter in September 2nd, 2021 need to be corrected is that my third exhibit is a receipt of another produced package for another visa appointment and this receipt date is for 06/07/2021, as the package was double paid $68;95 to arrive in a week, which never arrived to its destination but was returned to 1208 Lake Avenue in Tallahassee Florida 32310 at the last week of October, 2021. This second withdrawal appointment could have cost my son the visa.
Mr. Supervisor, I am writing to let you know that your organization is responsible for all these losses and will be liable and as such upgrade the global post office services that should be trusted at least when a high services charge is attended.
Stop this discriminated attitude and accept your responsibilities on my losses.

September 20, 2021
Dear Sir / Madam,
RE: Appeal of the Decision on Article Number: CH131132636US
Dear Supervisor, International Claims.
It is very inconsiderate for you to start such unprofessional statement as a superior representative at this global office that many trust their life with your unfilled promises. How could you deny such a clear claim like a joke, it is well explained to you the need of expediting the documents and all was cancelled due to your failure to accomplish your responsibility. In addition to the whole documents replacement to continue my son’s life trip, without knowing that the arrival of such documents at any time does not matter in situations of this sort. As such questioning the mission and purpose of significance services with United States Postal Services.
It is very humiliating to hear you say that the parcel was delivered after many months without human feeling nor a professional obligation attached to it. How much more the dealings involved with the documents. Your actions have erase every job description of all post office priorities in life in terms of time management and your unsupported statements which does not represent your organization or is just a mere deprivation of my right for your incompetence to do your career upon all your company have caused me and my son.
Sir for your information I have two cases of the same demolition of your incapacity to deliver my sons documents, lost in time need and the production of another original as a result of the visa.
1. The case being CH131132636US
2. The attached priority posting of $68.95 for quicker delivery yet your company disappointed me and my son?

to deliver the documents to and request for the Embassy Consulate support after two unadventurously cancelled appointments. Pleading to know our faith due to the visa time and the inconveniences the cancellation must have caused the consulate as appointments are numbered yearly.
My son is still in Nigeria up till now due to the two cancelling appointment with the American Legation and you are denying the first claim when I am preparing a legitimate lawsuit which will be able to cover my expenses as one cannot take and cancel several appointments with such office at the same year without attendance as your association failed us twice. I also doubled the postal price the second time I was mailing the document as a chance not to fall the second Embassy appointment knowing the consequence yet it raises to no avail.
Sir (Supervisor) my life and the condition of my son since these dilemmas is not something I can explain owing to the future unpredictable actions of the American Embassy as a result of your unskilled complications of not conveying the documents which warranted the appointment cancellations. Treat us as humans and accept the high unregulated unethical issues in your organization and accept the consequences.
My recommendation to reduce these problems will be if you can delightfully establish a new extension of communication (tracking locations) for international priority mails recognizing the importance; as there was a point that mere tracing between the United Post office and international locations could have assisted in stopping and returning of the first parcel as they were the originals, once the appointment date was cancelled. To avoid emotional damages, expenses in replacement of documents and the helplessness of too many unplanned conducts. As I just received the returned envelope parcel on September 3th, 2021 on my arrival from Nigeria.
I was stunned to my investigation to see that once a parcel left United States of America there is no more tracking of location upon the high amount of priority mail paid.
Sir, I request for your assistance in making this claim a little easier for this undesirable situation that I and my son are into. The amount of this claim now is $22, 000. (but $58, 000 with a lawyer) to cover my travelling expenses, the new documents and the expecting the unforeseen circumstance waiting for the embassy response.
I wish to speak with you or presume urgent response to this matter, as it is not in the fun part for me.

United States Postal Service [USPS] extremely misleading

Initially I was told by Testing & Careers w/ US, Inc. after I contacted them that purchasing their manual in advance of scheduling the USPS exam was necessary. Of course they deducted the $129.90 from my account the same day I ordered it. After six weeks of not being able to schedule my exam I returned the manual for a "full" refund, per their policy (full refund minus $12.90 for an electronic transfer). What I wasn't told initially was that AFTER Testing & Careers receives the manual and request for refund that it takes them 5-7 working days to process the request, why?, I can't even imagine. It took them 12 calendar days in my case. After numerous calls I found out that they don't actually handle the refund themselves, it goes through a 3rd party, who quotes an additional 5-8 working days before it posts to my account. I was intially led to believe from Testing & Careers that the refund would hit my checking account in 1-2 days, BALONEY! They NEED to state up front in writing that refunds take between 12-18 working days and go through a 3rd party processor.
The gentleman I spoke with would not give me the name of anyone else in the organization to speak with and that he, who answered the customer support line, was the ultimate supervisor/authority/answer-man. He refused to give me any other contact information. VERY SHADY characters these guys! These folks do not like to make refunds. BEWARE!

as a retired mailman in syracuse ny, I can tell you that the problem comes from washington DC. no hiring is allowed unless it is approved by washington. when someone retires his route is obsorbed by the exsisting routes. the routes are being timed right down to the second, and being retimed every 2-3 months so there is no spare time. when the carrier is given extra to do, due to retirement, sick call, or vacation time, it tacked on to an exsisting route and the carrier is told to do the extra 1st, thus putting his regular deliverys behind for the day. Also having a differant person deliver part of a route everyday results in undelivered and misdelivered mail. Its only going to get worse. In my own personal opinion, I think the government is trying to make the service so bad that the public will want it turned over to public enterprise, which is what the government wants.

Discrimination employee misconduct complaint re: Location Two
Eastern Heights, Oakdale location (Bob) & older Caucasian window clerk Linda-verbally loud, defensive & rude! Oakdale, Mn location Supervisor Mr. Iverson

Summery: On 9.30.2009 I attempted to go to this post office location to purchase some postage stamps for my five letters. Postal employee Jesse rudely and discriminately, disrespectfully greeted me! This is my third appearance at this location, which is connected to this small strip mall storefronts that also house/lease Rainbow foods grocery store. The outer appearance of this post office location is dirty unsanitary and disgusting. Spots-stains-spite-spew-saliva surround the entrance and concrete side-walk. Smashed bubble gum discarded cigarette butts carelessly littered and thrown.

Jesse seemed to be in an ornery, foul, argumentative and impatient mood and was also argumentative and defensive with me! Addressing me as a child or animal! On further note Jesse also smelled like he needed a bath as he is an extremely oversized male that sits in a chair at the customer service window all day with an ornery and stern attitude. Customers/citizens should not have to be subject to this type of discourteous, dirty, misconduct and or behavior.

This is the third post office within less then a years time around the E. Saint Paul Minnesota area that has been getting numerous complaints and negative ratings with it’s management/supervisor/employee customer relations and discriminatively run business! Including the Dayton’s Bluff location & Eastern Heights, Oakdale Mn. Caucasian male window teller (Bob) who wears visible droopy gold neck chains and appears intimidating to some customers/consumers. I verbally heard him call a Caucasian woman customer stupid in a joking disrespectful manner belittling her during a window transaction! Bob seems to frequently be in a cocky, defensive, stern mood during window customer transactions with other selective customers.

Furthermore, at the Seeger post office location when I asked for a manager or supervisor on duty I was rudely and sarcastically given a name of Charlie. However, this man was unavailable for customer complaints/concerns at the time…So when I got to my home/residence I attempted to call customer service hotline for the USPS @ [protected] Unfortunately, this number and department customer service computer’s were allegedly down, at the time, only to file a complaint, not to purchase postage and or track or to ship a package! I was told to call back later that night or tomorrow to file a consumer complaint. As of receipt of my/this original complaint over a week later after submitting a verbal complaint to Minneapolis Northland district Consumer Affairs manager Mrs. Natalie Sorvari t: 612.349.4401 who was to return my calls regarding a previous complaint months ago and never did! This Location and office/department has been recently unresponsive to my letters. However, I did manage to file another verbal complaint the following day over the telephone with a familiar over sarcastic and insincere woman by the name of: Mary-Joe hotline t: 612.349.6388 f: 612.349.3512

Please properly, investigate

Sincerely and respectfully a concerned customer/consumer Mr. P. Tejeda

United States Postal Service [USPS] desparity in discipline

Okay the post office it self is an amazing place to work. The benefits and raises are off the hook. But i am writing to talk about a particular facility. MT.HOOD DDC in portland oregon. Where to begin I took the job cause supervisors and other employees told me it was a family friendly place. Yeah right I am a single parent. I thoroughly expressed my situation to management that I need notice when my schedule would change or when overtime was to needed. Now I am or was a PTF. So I know they get treated like crap basically. That's why I voiced my concerns and situation to management before hand. Crazy thing they agreed with everything like "notice no problem". I went through 5 babysitters, cause they would change my schedule and not even tell me, they would call overtime as I was clocking out. Now that was my career or was supposed to be. So I would stay and do what had to be done. I would come in like everyday and remind them I know I am no more special then anyone else but please work with me. I am trying. Immediate supervisors wouldn't listen upper management didn't care. I put up with it that was my career.
The move they made that made me stop biting my tongue and holding back was this. In May I asked one of my supervisors for a day off in August. Yes she said and. Then in June I asked another supervisor for the same day off just to make sure. He said oh yeah you got it. So August comes and the schedule for that week comes out. I see that I am scheduled to work on the day off the I asked for months in advance and another coworker of mine did get it off and she asked for that same day in July. I was heated so I toke the day off. Now I am in the process of being removed. I know I was wrong. So I talk to my union president. He tells me people have done this before and the situation is blown way out off proportion. So I should have no problem getting my job back. He didn't put up much fight for me. I pay my dues just like eveyone else. I admitted my wrong doing and even apologized. But, I got nothing. NOTHING. And really I am lost now me and my daughter. I was only there for a year. I was a casual for one and a half years prior in a different facility. I am not a bad, spiteful person. Well until now. I am tired off them walking on me and I refuse to let my future go just like that. I see I am in this alone not even help from my union. MT.HOOD DDC IN PORTLAND OREGON IS A HORRIBLE PLACE, MAN IT CAN BREAK A PERSON. oh yeah and the union SUCKS.

United States Postal Service [USPS] awful service

Bare with this one – it’s been dragged out by USPS personnel giving bad information, lying and just providing bad service.

August 14th, submitted change of address online using an address provided by my landlord which was provided by the sales office of the newly opened building. We will call it “1240 Street”. The online system accepted the change, assigned a zip+4 code, and charged me the $1 fee. A week later I received a USPS Change of Address Confirmation at my new residence and addressed to the “1240 Street”. At that time, since delivery was confirmed, I proceeded to change my address with all companies I do business with.

I did not receive mail at my old or new address for 2 weeks. I called several times (1-800 # and local office) and was told to keep waiting. I finally went to the Post Office in person at which time I am told it was an incorrect address – even though I received the confirmation printed on an official USPS form and delivered by USPS personnel. (NOTE: Since the building is new, there were a couple of addresses used during and after construction. Both are valid in the national system but the local level refuses to deliver mail addressed to the “1240 Street” unless it’s the confirmation.) To correct this, I was advised by the window clerk and the supervisor to put in a correction from the old address AND submit a new change of address to go from “1240 Street” to the corrected “1200 Street” so I would receive any mail already sent to the latter. I had to do this twice that week, each time being advised the same. There was a large package, 2 checks and my son’s Social Security Card already sent to the “1240 Street”.

At this point I thought all was resolved and I would get these items. Oh foolish me…I did not receive these items for 2 weeks. I sent a letter to many offices, including Postmaster General, at USPS Headquarters at which time they sent it to the local office to handle. I tested it out by sending a postcard to myself at the “1240 Street” address to see if it would get that yellow sticker and forwarded. I even mailed it from the blue bin outside of their post office.

After another 2 weeks of not getting even the postcard, I went to back to talk to them. This time I was told that any mail addressed to “1240 Street” would not be delivered OR forwarded. It would be returned to sender. This was 4 weeks now and none of the items were returned to sender, including the social security card. Since they had confirmed the “1240 Street” address and incorrectly advised me to put in the last change of address, I was able to get them to promise they would deliver the large package since it was an item I could not replace without substantial cost.

Again, foolish me. The package was returned that weekend and could not be intercepted. I called to file a complaint with the USPS customer service. I think the lady who took the report was the only courteous and sympathetic person working for the USPS. She filed it, elevated it past the local level and said someone would call in 24 hours – if not, call back. I had to call back and was told it was being investigated.

In the meantime, the local office called to tell me the package was returned, (oh really?), but they would provide me a letter to say it was erroneously returned so that the sender could take that to their post office and have the package immediately sent back with no cost to them. I was also told they could send it at a faster rate and claim the difference in cost. I reluctantly agreed but had faith they would follow through this time. Again, foolish me.

I finally got this so called letter and it did not say anything as discussed, only that the 1240 address was wrong and I was misadvised – no mention of resending the package at no cost to sender. I called the “1-800” number again to try to get someone from Headquarters. The not so nice person this time said they would not – only send me right back to where the problem was. I was told the complaint report was closed as resolved even though I had not received the letter nor the package. No resolution was filed but the not so nice “1-800” person and her not so nice supervisor said that the resolution was that I got my mail. WRONG!

Issue still ongoing, sender has not received “erroneously returned” package, no calls are being returned from the USPS and I’m out $1, 000 with the possibility of identify theft from the undelivered and unreturned Social Security card. USPS continuously made mistakes and has not taken responsibility by following through. Any tips on who to contact now for action?

I order an item from a vendor and they emailed me on 01/27/2009 stating that they had shipped the item. 01/31/2009 comes and the postman doesn't even bother to ring the doorbell, he doesn't even drop off a slip for it. I work a ton of hours so my free time is very limited so when I say I expect something to be delivered on a specific date, then I expect to get what I requested. I didn't know this delivery attempt had even been made yet since there was no slip so I thought that the package was just slowly being delivered.

On 02/03/2009, the postman drops off the regular mail and doesn't even ring the doorbell AGAIN and this time leaves an orange slip. Well, three of us were home so any of us would of heard it and none of us did and trust me, that doorbell is loud. Due to the post office having limited hours of only being open M-F 8-5 and SAT 8-2, I was limited as to when I could go to the post office to pick up this item. So I called the automated system and scheduled for a redelivery for the next day, no problem right? WRONG!

So I went the first chance I could, which was on 02/07/2009. Of course they never have enough counter staff so you wait forever and a day just to be seen, before I handed her the slip I asked her when they stopped doing second delivery attempts and she told me that nine times out of ten they do not even get the redelivery requests from the automated system!? Then why print it on the card then!So I hand her the card and she is gone for several minutes before returning and she states 'we can't find this item, but my supervisor said that she put something on the cart for 2nd delivery attempt today but I do not know what'.

At this point, I didn't know that the second delivery attempt was on 02/04/2009, I thought that that was just the first. Well little did I know, after I log onto usps.com and check the status of the package and found out that it was the second attempt and that they had already sent it back to the vendor!? So because of their laziness and ignorance my package is back at the vendor and I got ripped off and lied to. Now here is what really got me, the usps.com website said that I was unavailable to delivery on the 01/31/2009, thats news to me! For 02/04/2009 it said insufficient address!?

So let me get this straight, the address was sufficient on the first attempt but he didn't want to ring the doorbell because that would of meant that he would of had to carry this package and god knows government workers hate to actually earn their keep in society the honest way, so he just decides to take the easy route and leave the package in his truck most likely. But the second time, my address was insufficient? Can we say falsifying federal documents?

They never attempted to deliver the package, so that is one federal document falsified, and they oddly said that the address is insufficient magically come the second delivery, thats falsifying a second document. Someone really just needs to sue the USPS and teach them a lesson is customer service! Long story short, I never got the package and I never get reimbursed for shipping!? RIP OFF!

Today the mailman didn't pick up my mail or deliver my mail because there was a car in front of my mailbox. The street in front of my house is a public road. There is nothing to keep someone from parking there. I think there should be a law against holding my mail or not picking up the letters to be sent as long as the flag is up. I would appreciate your input on this. not the first time.

Also some of my neighbors. By the way, it is not my car in the way. I park in the driveway.

I have ordered 2 items online to be delivered to thru USPS. Neither of which I ever received. They were unable to tell where the product was and both seem to be lost after being received in ATL, GA. My grandmother also never had her medication delivered when it was shipped from FL. Also lost in ATL, GA! WTF? They need a better system. From now on, I will require that anyone ships to me use UPS or FedEX. I have never had this problem from them.

This EXACT same thing just happened to me. I am in Nashville, TN and I moved on 9/15/10. Filed my change of address online at www.usps.com AND was charged the $1.

I received my change of address confirmation in the MAIL BOX but have not gotten any mail.

This has been going on for almost 3 months.

Today the post office (800 # and local office) tell me they have no record of my change of address.

HOW IS THIS ALLOWED TO CONTINUE?

United States Postal Service [USPS] stolen mail

The date is off it was some time ago, but the more I think about what happened to us the madder I get..A Friend of mine took me to a Xena Convention for my Birthday..while there we obtained about $100 in Xena merchandise each..since there was so much we were afraid to try to take it with us on our fights so we packed everything up and shipped it to my address..we got delivery confirmation and ins...the day it was suppose to arrive (my Friend had already gone back to Germany and I was suppose to send her her stuff via international mail..) I met the Carrier at the door she seemed shocked and handed me my package then hauled ### back to her mail jeep I immediately noticed my package was opened on one end and our stuff was missing..I chased behind her before she even got off the porch saying "excuse me..Mam..excuse me" I got to her before she could get in her jeep..I showed her my open package and the fact it was empty..she was soo fake in her shock it wasn't funny..she pretended to search the jeep I also looked..I told her there was 10 posters that cost $20 a piece..so that was $200 worth of merchandise that was missing..she told me she would do a search at the PO..then she left..I called the PO and lodged a complaint they informed me I needed to come in in person so the next day I did just that..I filed a complaint and also filed for ins. reimbursement..I was denied the ins. coverage because I didn't have any receipts..the next day I found a note in the mailbox from the Carrier assuring me my items would be found soon she practically promised it..I took it to the PO and showed it to the Clerk I also pointed out the tape on the mailing tube had been neatly removed it wasn't ripped off it was cut off with a knife or a pair of scisssors..I told her I felt the Carrier stole my posters because the tube was scanned prior to her receiving my package and it was not noted the tube was opened or the contents was missing..the Clerk agreed her note was suspicious and she kept the note to give to the Post Master General.. I also informed her of how the Carrier actually ran back to her jeep when I called out to her about my open package and my missing posters..Despite my complaints the Post Master General claims there is nothing he can do because there is no proof of the contents worth and no proof the carrier is guilty of theft..I and my Friend are out $200 because of a thieving Carrier and a Postal System which refused to do the right thing..I assure everyone that was the last time I used the Postal system for any type of shipping or delivery..I was living in Knoxville, TN at the zip code 37931..so if you live in Knoxville, TN and that is your zip code steer clear of Postal delivery!

I live in Upper Marlboro, MD and have been for 6 years. From the time I moved here to my newly built home there have been problems with the USPS. All of it is opened mail. Anything that resembles a check, which is mostly junk mail, gets carefully opened and on occasion has been taped back up. I never really paid attention since my checks are deposited and not delivered. However, today I get my W-2 and find it ripped on the side. About 1/4 of it was gone and my personal information exposed. I don't know if this was the dumb ### carrier himself who frequently puts mail in the wrong boxes or one of the stupid, mumbling, attitudinal mother###as at the actual sorting facility. Don't they have cameras to watch these damn crooks?! No wonder they are going out of business. People get tired of their ### getting stolen and switch to FedEx or UPS. Now I have to wonder if my identity is going to be attempted to be stolen or not. Plenty of money earned in this county and plenty stolen by the USPS and corrupt local gov't officials. ###ing ###

People really do not need to blame the USPS for stolen items! They def do not need to steal. Regardless of what anyone thinks. The mailer of the item could have messed up the address or something on the envelope/package. Next someone could have stolen the package out of you mail box even off your front porch! Everyone in this world wants to throw the finger at just one person instead of thinking of the possibilities! Not every mail carrier steals so stop and think about who you are blaming. The blame could possibly be on yourself. Mistakes happen and granted they shouldn't, but they do. All I'm saying is stop and think about if you are blaming the right person, it could be anyone! There are a lot of non nice people in this world. And I guarantee Most of them (MOST) aren't federal employees!

I posted an expensive Christmas card to a good friend in Hillsboro, Oregon - it didn't arrive. Three months later I mailed an expensive speaking Dr Who birthday card to the same address - and again it didn't arrive. Year after year, expensive cards don't arrive in Oregon - normal letters always arrive. I hope the USPS worker stealing the expensive stuff burnas in Hell when he/she dies.

A WEEK ago I ordered Borderlands for the Xbox 360. Now, I have ordered from Gamestop many times before but THIS is the FIRST time they've chosen the USPS as the mail provider.
First off, I'd like to say how just outright disrespectful they are to me (me being 16) they actually believe that I have my game, when I didn't sign for it or anything.
Secondly, they really do not help with anything at all. I asked my mail carrier if she remembers delivering the package to my building and she says "Naw not really"
Third, their "Customer Support" system is a complete waste of time. All it does is ring you around to the same thing until you don't say a thing and it connects you to a completely clueless person who doesn't even give a damn.

Overall, I will NEVER EVER order ANYTHING online for the simple fact that the USPS cannot deliver a small package.

Possible “post” re mail theft and poor grievance procedures
(for complaintsboard.com/bycompany/usps-a15145.html)

I have been a target of internal mail theft and also pilfering by USPS workers as well. I am in San Francisco. Last summer, I was told that if I wanted any mail to arrive at my PO Box (located in the lobby at a post office station) it had better be sent certified or priority, that I shouldn't expect them to deliver it for the mere price of a first-class stamp (which had just gone up, incidentally).

I've had mail tampered with, withheld, pilfered, and in recent weeks certified mail was stolen and I'm getting threatened by the postal workers and "screwed " by the postal inpector's office and process in general.

I've decided to post my own story. See it under a San Francisco Internal Mail Theft heading, first week of Feb. 2010.

Unfortunately, I was a first-time victim of stolen gifts this year. Several boxes I sent to different parts of the country arrived missing several items and had things replaced instead of the original hand-made/sentimental gifts I sent.

In one case a basil seedling plant was stolen and replaced with a blue book value on motorcycles and ATV’s… the gift was actually taped back up with this instead! Luckily my family thought this was fishy and called to ask me about it, otherwise I would never have known. This tipped me off to call and check on everything else and resulted in a very melancholy Christmas day as the amount of stolen items grew. (It was my first Christmas living away from home and it really added to the grief.)

It breaks my heart that you cannot trust the postal service. This had to happen here in LA because things were mailed to different locations. At this point it is only my word against theirs, but nothing was worth much retail value… just sentimental value, so I declined additional insurance when they asked. When I did so, the postal worker said, “Your loss” which I guess she meant! Considering I mailed everything way ahead of time and nothing was of much retail value, I thought this was a safe bet.

Since this is a federal fraud, the more instances they find of similar crimes will result in a greater punishment. Any attention you could possibly help me bring to this circumstance would be immensely appreciated, as I’m sure I was not the only victim.

It’s hard to imagine anyone could sleep at night after stealing gifts with only sentimental value, but I guess anything is possible during these hard economic times.

United States Postal Service [USPS] scam and cheating

You people are so negligent and very irresponsible when it comes to delivering something that should only take a very few days to get to it's destination it is not even funny. I am very displeased with your service and thought you were suppose to be good at delivering things on time i am taking my business else where at least i will get what i am suppose to on time you people can't even perform a simple task such as locating where the things should be without a tracking number. They never had to depend a *** tracking number a long time ago, where would you people be if you had to go that way, nothing to go by not even a tracking number that i say is really pretty bad.

United States Postal Service [USPS] due to having a dog

I have a dog yes a pitbull approximately 8 months old and during the day I leave my front window and door open so he has refused to leave my mail so I had to go to the post office and sign a letter agreeing to have my screen door and window locked at time of delivery. So I did this and have complied with it but at times we do have company so this time my dog was in the double secured back yard and my front door was open and we had company so he refuse to delivery mail for two days. He wrote on my mail when finally making delivery stating it held back dure to front door open and my dog. My response to him was my dog was in back yard and he put on it so! I've contacted the office and spoke with a woman there because no supervisor was picking up for and explained to her the situation she was going to look into and I've heard nothing I'm lost at what to do I think this has gotten out of hand and we really rely on our mail.

Thank you,
Jane Mussaw.

Are you nuts? You leave your door and window open and you own a breed of dog that is "KNOWN" to be vicious?! Just remember, ALSO, YOU are responsible for the action(s) of your dog. Do you want to be living on the streets because someone sued you when your dog gets older and is "just protecting" your domain? Geesh, what's wrong with people?

The mail carrier has every right to think of their safety. Sorry. Through rain, snow and sleet, not all of the above and the occasional mangling dog attack. Dog attacks do happen, and are often performed by the most seemingly innocent of dogs, I also think I would have to bypass your door if I saw a dog. Postal employees are not soldiers who are expected to perform unsafe duties, they are delivery people who need their legs and arms in working order in order to continue leading a productive career.

Well i have to say I agree with your mailman completely. How is he supposed to know that the dog is in the backyard? All he sees is your door open and the possibility of your dog being there. I Am a mailcarrier as well and that is our policy. Safety first. I have a dog of my own and i love dogs but i still don't go anywhere near a situation where there is a dog and a possible situation with it. Of course you think your dog is the sweetest and wouldn't harm anybody but it is YOUR dog. I'm the intruder coming into his domain and he's going to feel threatened and protect you. So try and be understanding of the situation and keep he door closed or maybe get a PO box if you can't seem to do that.

Sweety, be a cupcake and keep the door closed. Honestly, I'd be scared too.
My story, my aunt is being sued b/c she her dog attacked them maillady.
BUT! She keeps the screendoor closed and the main door open.
Well, her mixed pitbull burst through the screen and bit the mailman on the leg, as she was walking up the driveway.
This isnt the first time it happened.
A few weeks before, I went to pick her and as she was closing the house door, I was opening the passanger side door for her*she' in her 60's btw*, her dog breaks free and bites me on the calf. *I had my back turned*
She claimed I provoked it, but it turns out it also attacked the neighbors kids.
Dont get me wrong, I have dogs too...well...not really...when you add them all up they make half a dog. XD *2 chihuahuas to be exact*
Do chihuahuas count? XD
My mailman loves them to bits but theyre tiny but some are MEAN!
Even my neighbor lets her big rotwillers run free outside the front yard, that has no fence.
But thats me personally.
