Call called to make an appointment at the USPS at 10431 Motor CIty Dr. Bethesda MD 20817. I asked what forms I needed, if a picture can be taken on site for + $3, and if a credit card can be used. I arrived on time at 10:45 AM 2/8/2016. The form was correct, but they didn't have film from the camera, and they only took checks. The agent sent me to a store...

I've been complaining for over 1 year about this post lady that doesn't like delivering packages because I live in a big building. I live on the ground floor and every time I order something she leaves a receipt for me to pick it up! It's been over 1 year and she is still doing the same thing and I've gone to the post office and complained and over the...

United States Postal Service [USPS] box delivery service

Sent 2 boxes to the same exact address in Puerto Rico from the Watauga USPS office in December 2015. 1 of the boxes made it to its destiny but the second got lost. I ended up submitting a claim which they never responded after 2 attempts, several calls to the Consumers Affairs office in Fort Worth, TX that they never responded, and long hours waiting for an agent on the phone. In case you have never contacted USPS 800 # their average hold time is 1 hour. 31 days later after I got the box back to my house with a sticker saying that the box was undeliverable/person unknown, really? BUNCH OF LIERS! How come the first box, which went to the same address made it fine?! I took the box back to the Watauga location to see what they had to say about the incident… and you would have thought they would accept they messed up and offered a solution for the inconvenience they caused.---I‘ve worked in customer service for years, and the least I would had offer to an upset customer is a free overnight and a big apology…right? Well no, instead the lady, who was in charge of the office, said she could resend the box through the same cheap service…really? How in the world you think I am going to give my box back to the same guys who lost my box?! Like they say “you get what you pay for”. I thank God for Fedex and UPS, my new package delivery companies!

United States Postal Service [USPS] tracked my package into their black hole...

I mailed a package (tracking #: 9534611127075362428693) on December 28th and it arrived to the Bell Gardens facility on December 29th. The Expected Delivery Day was January 4th, 2016. It is now January 12 and I have not heard anything. I called the three phone numbers I found online during their posted business hours. [protected] was a bust signal every time I called it. [protected] just rang 15-20+ times and no one ever answered it. [protected] just reiterated my package was at Bell Gardens and that there was no customer service or operators available at this number. I called the post office where I mailed my package from and the lady said all she could do is call Bell Gardens and leave a message. She said she could not give me the number that she used. What are my options?

United States Postal Service [USPS] mail carrier

Dear Poster Service, My name is Delores Carson, within the last 3 years I been complaining about not receiving all of my mail. My Identity alone with my husband identity been stolen. The miss handling of my mail from the mail carriers is a privacy violation. Accounts been open in my name that I wasn't aware of, my husband and I can't fill our tax returns without a pass word. I was paying bills today and was told by one on my creditor that my monthly statement was sent back stated do not live at this address. I been living at this address for 20 or longer years, the reason for that call is because your mail carriers are putting my mail in someone else mail box and I'm receiving other people mail. I under stand that you might be short staff but it no excuse to continue making the same mistakes. If this problem continue to happen I will be force to take legal action. Last year I spoke to the supervisor at West Hyattsville post office several time, she sure me that the problem will be solve. No it hasn't matter or fact it worse then ever. I have to pay a privacy company to monitor my credit history. Please resolve this matter, ASAP I can be reach by email [protected]@verizon.net. Thank you

United States Postal Service [USPS] mail deilivered to wrong address

Saturday Oct 30th: I had my neighbor from across the street bring me what looked like a complete day of mail. I had been waiting for 2 checks in the mail, one for $3400 and one for $50. I had already called my one institution for the $3400 check because I hadn't received it when I should have gotten it. These are articles of mail I do not like going to somebody else's address. This has happened in the past with other mail but it wasn't enough to write a complaint about until now. I am sure that you would feel the same way I do if somebody else got your mail and it was a large dollar amount check you were waiting for and you didn't receive it or worse, somebody cashed it. I am not sure where the mix up happened but I would like to think that this will not happen again.

United States Postal Service [USPS] can not buy stamps at kensington post office

For more then 3 months I have been told every week by the Kensington Post office that they are out of 71¢, 21¢ and $1.20 stamps and they only have 49¢ stamps. I cannot even buy extra postage to add to the .49¢ stamps. I use a great deal of these stamps per month and have had to make do with – 49¢ stamps and over pay on every envelope I send. I am retired and live on social security. This is costing me approximately $10.00 overpayment a month. I have given up going to the post office and waiting online for 20 to 30 minutes to be told "We don't got them stamps" try again next week. I am forced to order stamps on line and must pay a $1.30 or a $1.50 premium to the USPS for stamps. The post office should not run out of basic stamps for over 3 months. I have asked them to re-order the stamps and called customer service many times to no avail. What is wrong with the post offices that it cannot stock and sell stamps? When I filed 3 complaints. All I received was e-mail with phone numbers that do not answer or return a call.

United States Postal Service [USPS] non delivery - us customs declined further shipment

It is illegal to ship cigarettes into the US from foreign countries. US Customs is stopping all shipments and preventing them from being sent to the customer. In fact it is illegal to ship cigarettes from state to state within the US.

Anyone thinking they are going to receive a shipment of cigarettes outside the US or outside the State they live in need to be aware of the USPS postal services rules.

The company I ordered the shipment from was Duty Free Cigarettes. I am in the process of getting a refund of the payment. If anyone knows how to obtain a refund please post.
Thank you
Khawk

United States Postal Service [USPS] lost 2 boxes media mail

We shipped 6 boxes via USPS media mail. These boxes contained used travel and art books. They are not worth much but if I wanted to trash them there are certainly less expensive ways to do it. 2 of the boxes never arrived. The USPS has given us a run around for two months and says that oops the boxes are lost. Mind you these are 40 pound boxes not an envelope that could fly away.. I cannot believe that they can loose 33% a a shipment and that anyone "stole" the books.

United States Postal Service [USPS] scam

The USPS is running a SCAM to make extra money!

I work in a mailroom at my job, and we get a lot of returned envelopes from the USPS marked "no such address".

There is NOTHING wrong with these envelopes we mail out, because we have to double check the addresses before we send them out. We also have checked EVERY single return we get like this, and ALL of the addresses are CORRECT! They are spelled correctly, they have the correct street numbers, street names, zip codes, suite numbers, etc... We even check with the sites themselves to make sure the addresses are still the same, and they are. And these are sites that have been there for many years!

Yet we keep getting return after return of these envelopes we mail out...and YES, they DO have postage on them when they go out!

Yet we get them back and have to remail them AGAIN, having to RESTAMP them AGAIN, sometimes three or four times!

This is a USPS SCAM!

So if the things you mail out keep coming back and there is nothing wrong with it, this is why...they are scamming you for MORE wasted postage!

Having actually worked for the USPS as a PT mail carrier and experiencing the way the USPS operates from behind the scenes I can tell you this is not an isolated or even rare incident. That being said it is not motivated by a scam to make more money (that would imply the USPS employees care about the company...they don't, and vice-versa) it is motivated in fact by simple, unwavering and unparalleled laziness.

The unofficial motto of Mail Carriers in the employ of the USPS is "How can I get out of delivering this mail?". That is it plain and simple. There are actual tubs set up for mail carriers to toss the letters that actually can not be delivered like "No such address, Wrong Postal District, Lack of Postage, etc." That being said you must realize that there is ZERO accountability for who tosses what into these tubs so at the end of each day these tubs would be overflowing with literally hundreds of letters (personally witnessed carriers toss entire streets worth of letters into these.) They simply take the tubs away and replace them with empty ones and throw the mail back into circulation to start the cycle over again. I have personally witnessed the SAME letters appear for weeks on end over and over again just dropped in the tub and a few days later they appear again...EVEN the letters with ACTUAL problems show back up unfixed...it is madness.

The entire USPS is run like one giant game of "pass the buck". Granted I only worked in 3 post offices but this isn't just my opinion but the general consensus of all the workers I have spoken with. Everyone (management included) knows it goes on...hell everyone jokes about it openly. Vets will actually train newbies on how to get away with this kind of behavior (I was trained this way).

Ever been home waiting for a package and when you go out to the mailbox you see a slip with the box "No one home" checked off and you are now forced to pick the parcel up at the Post Office...spoiler alert most carriers have these slips filled out in advance so they can just toss them in your mail box because "How can you prove they didn't knock?" The only packages guaranteed to be delivered promptly are the ones with the word "AMAZON" on the side...its is the ONE and ONLY thing a mail carrier is accountable for because the USPS can't chance losing that huge contract. Its the only thing keeping them afloat.

The USPS is one of the most toxic work environments you could ever have the misfortune to enter, it is where "hope for humanity" goes to die.

United States Postal Service [USPS] non-delivery

This USPS location is an absolutely frustrating "situation" to deal with. I do make a lot of purchases online because I live in a small town... and in doing so I am subject to using the United states postal service. But, the term snail mail is taken to the extreme when it comes to processing times at this particular post office. I have gone nearly a week and counting waiting for 2 packages just sitting there waiting to be shipped an hour away. Let me make this point... I paid for shipping and I can literally drive to pick up my packages in a facility that is reluctant to provide a service I have paid for in full. This isn't the first time and I'm sure won't be the last.

United States Postal Service [USPS] experince/rudness by clerk & post master

I live in Templeton California. Templeton is located between San Luis Obispo and Paso Robes.
The taxes payer/public, know the Post Service is really trying to revamp their image and Customer Service.

On March 5th, my husband was home and notice out in front of our house a generic truck with the logo USPS. The gentlemen/driver had a parcel/postal box and was looking around where to place it. Tim went out to see what was going on. The gentlemen told my husband that he was instructed to install this Large Parcel box in front of our home…..Tim said absolutely not….
When I came home from doing errands, Tim told me what had happen. I went to the Post Office to talk to the Post Master. (Please understand Templeton is a “small” community).
When I got up to the dark haired clerk, I asked to speak to the Post Master. I was told she was on the phone. I stated I would wait. The Clerk then told me she would be going to lunch after the call, and would not come out to talk to me.

Taken back by this extremely rude postal clerk, not very happy about this, I wrote down my phone number and name and asked to have the Post master call me when she got back “from lunch”! I also stated to the clerk, that I was leaving the next day to fly for two weeks and upon returning from flying, “If” the parcel box was installed, in front of our home, that I would have it removed. The clerk then informed me that the Postal Service has every right to install the box and they do not have to inform the “Property Owner of the installation. Hmmm am I not aTax Payer?

The Post Master NEVER returned my call.! Still waiting and it is March 12th. Result promoting
this letter.

My Husband went in and left his cell phone number. the Post Master did call my husband. My Husband asked her about this parcel box being installed in front of our home. He asked why we where not contacted? He asked if She had even gone out and surveyed the site?
The Post Master stated she had not done either, that she was taking the suggestions from the mail carriers.
He explained that “if” she had done her research, she would have already realized that we have a postal box for the neighborhood on the “right side” of our home/driveway and that installing the parcel postal box on our “left side” of our home/driveway, that we should basically set up shop and sell stamps also!
Post Master stated she had two Parcel postal box that she wanted to put to use, and “asked” the “mail carriers” where the Parcel boxes should be installed.
Our “New” mail carrier when asked by my husband, stated she made the suggestion because she is “tried of getting out of her truck” and delivering packages to the homes… There are eight homes in the circle drive. It is not like she delivers every day a package! Its called being lazy!
GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
How dare the Postal Service think they have every right to NOT INFORM the “HOME OWNER” of putting a eye sore in front of their home. The Postal Service did not purchase our home! I take great pride, time and money to make our home beautiful!
It is bad enough when we want to pull into “our drive way”, that we have to “wait” for the neighbor's or Mail truck to move from the driveway when delivering or getting the mail. This is something that you except, it is being neighborly….. Its called being considerate of others!
This Post Master never once apologize to us for her inconsiderate action. If the Post Master had taken the time to do her Job correctly by contacting us, she would have realized that we “all” could have worked together/taken suggestions. I would have suggested removing the “Old community mail box” and placing the “new” community parcel box (I am assuming it also include mail slots), in its place.
This is how it is done in Seattle or any large city! You Work together!

Is this part of the NEW IMAGE the Postal Service is improving on?

This is one of the main reason, when ordering on-line, I ask to have it sent either by Fed-Ex or UPS. I will pay extra if I have to! Their Drivers/Carriers provide exceptional customer service. If I can avoid using the USPS then I will…. especially after this encounter. This is not the first time that this Post Office has made a outrageous error!
I am really considering going to the press/social media and sharing my experience:
USPS New Customer Service and Experience with the Public!
This is why the Public/Tax Payers dislike the Postal service because of their rudeness, their uncaring action towards the public, and are using other means of service!

Thank You

United States Postal Service [USPS] post office tell is a racist

There is a female emplyee named Joanne who is clearly a racist and also extremely rude. I and numerous friends have had problems with her over the last several years. We have filed complaints and are told we won't have problems again or she'll loose her job. She will be nicer for a few weeks but then problems start up again.
This women should not be in a position where she deals directly with the public.

Most of us are now going to other branches just to avoid her which cost more in both time and money.
If you mention her to any PO employee at any branch, they all roll their eyes because they have heard about her treatment of customers.
She needs to be removed from her position but I guess the union protects her...

my regular postman was off today so the postmistress delivered his route with a new sub that she was breaking in. 2 weeks ago the sub that was on broke the handle off my mailboxand evidently threw it as we found it in middle of street. The box is still operable and I have been laid up with sickness to go out and fix. today the postmistress came by and lowered the flag but did not take my outgoing mail, and did not deliver my mail.I think that she should be fired for a trick like this as she is not a very good person to direct others. I don`t think that this type of person is proper to work for the postal service. Please let me know what you intend to do with this person.

Lucky you ! I've been going through this for 10 years and the mail is for people who have never lived at this address. Mail kept coming from the IRS and I kept sending it back. Finally, I bought a large manila envelope, stuffed IRS's mail into it and paid the postage to send it back - with a long and shocking letter of explanation. "Never lived at this address", one addressee is in jail for dealing drugs and other addressee committed suicide after going to jail for child molestation ! Then...I got a phone call about a bill made by the guy who committed suicide. I told the caller a few choice facts, including "this has been my telephone# for 20 odd years and had never been registered to this man. I think the caller lost her breath on that one. Oh, yes ! Forget about talking to the postmaster. I did that, too, and he either didn't try to do anything or it didn't work. Keep fighting! There's people higher up who might like to get hold of your problem. Our contact is in Birmingham, AL and they say she's ---- on wheels !

United States Postal Service [USPS] change of address

My daughter and I share the same name with the exception of her having a middle name. She has since moved and when she filled out her change of address, she wrote her full name. On the application you are asked will this be for an individual or entire house, she specified individual. Why is my mail going to her house. I have since called the neighborhood post office and Mgr stated, "Mail is generated through a computer". I stated, "Well, this form is a major inconvience". Beings though my daughter does not retrieve her mail everyday. The Mgr Dontae stated that he would take care of it. I'm STILL not receiving my mail.
