Unethical behavior / theft of refund
We booked a trip to Ireland for October of 2020. Due to COVID the airline cancelled the tickets. After almost 8 months of going back and forth we were informed by the airlines that Vayama HAD been refunded for the flights and our refund had to come from them. We paid for the the flights with a Capital One credit card. Capital One will not issue a credit as we initiated the charge and approved it. Vayama kept insisting that we had been refunded our money, but we never got a refund. So, long story short, it is Jan 2022 and I am still trying to find a way for us to get our money back. I am actively looking into how to sue the company in small claims for not only the initial charges but all the interest since March of 2020 as well. We have every email sent not only to Vayama but to the credit card company as well. Vayama is unethical and now they are out of business so I'm not sure what we can do to get this resolved.

My flight from March 2020 got canceled and I still have not received my refund yet. It's been almost two years now and I have not heard anything about it. I tried to contact them in the summer and they keep telling me to wait. I also tried to call but the phone number never worked. I am completely frustrated with the way you guys do business. I would love to get my refund ASAP thank you.

Can´t get refund for my tickets

In december 2019 I bought tickets to go to Orlando From Madrid. The flight was scheduled for september 3, 2020. Due to covid the flight was cancelled.
Since then I´ve been writing to Vayama asking for refund. First they said it was the airline fault and they were just waiting for the airline to refund the ticket to them (Vayama). But in november 2020 I went to the airline office (american airline) and they showed me that they did refund my ticket to Vayama. So I write to Vayama again explaining this and giving them evidence that the airline did the refund, but they keep giving me excuses. Since then I´ve been writing every month and getting nothing but excuses related to the airline and the amount of complaints they have, etc.
Attached are the tickets and the proof that American Airline did the refund to Vayama.

Payment for Airline refund not received
My name is Jesus Fernandez Luque. I booked a flight from London to Bangkok back in July 2019. The flight (with Ukrainian International Airlines) was cancelled by the airline on March 2020 because the Covid pandemic (flight was dur Apr 2020). Vayama informed us about the delay in getting the refunds.
In March 2021 Vayama confirmed the refund was ready to be sent to my account so I should send them my bank details. I did that but they kept asking me to confirm details because allegedly the refund failed because some of my details were incorrect. I resent them again.
In September 2021 I asked for an update to Vayama and they said that the refund team had to check with the airline for my refund.
I believe there is either some incompetence on Vayama's handling of the situation or an attempt to delay/keep the refund.
Any help in resolving this situation will be appreciated.

Changes of dates on tickets for a flight
I booked a flights from Dublin to Austin TX with Vayama to nurse a terminally ill relative after an operation. The dates for the operation have changed hence I wanted to change the dates. On first contacting Vayama they told me that the date changes i gave them would cost me 900euros and I only paid 748.88euros and on contacting them the 2nd time they insisted that there were no flights available on a number of dates that I gave them. I checked out the dates in question on their website and there is plenty of availability and the flights are cheaper than what I paid. They kept insisting that as of now fares are not available to make changes. I queried that there was plenty of availability and they keep responding that what you see on the website is new flights. On my e-ticket it stated that changes at any time, changes permitted for reissue/revalidation. Changes allowed, If changing to a higher fare class pay any fare difference.
I am in desperate need to get this issue resolved

Vayama is not giving us our money back from our flight.
We were supposed to go to Venice Italy in April of 2020. Because of the virus flights were canceled. Our credit card company initially gave us our money back then took it back because Vayama told them they were going to refund the money back to us, because Lufthansa refunded the money back to Vayama. I contacted Lufthansa and was told I needed to contact Vayama because they were the ones who would be giving us the refund. They have been playing games all this time. They tell us they need more information from our credit card company showing we didn't receive any funds from them. Our credit card company told us straight out that the information we have provided is more than enough proof that we received no funds from them. Now Vayama is telling us they don't have our data anymore? I can provide anything they need. Our flight was scheduled on 4/19/2020. Flight number LH425 to Munich then flight number LH9456 to Venice. Our return flight was on 4/24/2020 on flight number LH9457 to Munich, then flight number LH424 to Boston. There were five of us altogether, Gary, Liliana, William, Natalia and Magdalena Lantz. Where did the money Lufthansa gave back to Vayama go?

Did not get a refund for the cancelled flights
03/05/2020 I've purchased tickets for the round trip to Russia through Vayama.
Booking # 15824647 ($1663.44), two tickets Adult+ Child 10 years old.
Due to Covid all flights were cancelled.
In September 2020 Vayama has sent me an email that the refund will be in my account in 7-10 days. It's already the end of May 2021. And NO money...
I have an official paper from my Chase bank that I never got any refund from Vayama. I contacted "Aeroflot" airlines and they state my money were refunded to Vayama.
Customer service of Vayama replied for my requests with automatically generic answers that refund was issued. But they lie...
I need my money back!

We bought tickets from Vayama on American Airlines and everything was canceled. I tried to call Vayama but they are not in business anymore. American Airlines agreed to refund our tickets. The refunds must have went back to Vayama in stead of our card. We do not have an American Express card. Please refund our tickets back to the original card they were purchased on.

I have read all the complaints in this thread and it seems like we all have the same problem, not getting our refund.I lt's already been a year and they sent me an email last December 2020 saying that the refund will be in my acct in 7-10 days.Well, it's already March 2021 and it's still not in my acct.My question is, since it seems like there's a lot of us victims of this scam, can we file a class action lawsuit against Vayama?
Yeah I agree it’s really ridiculous every day hearing story from them worst company I will never book through them anymore ! How can we file a class action lawsuit?

I cancel my flight ticket in January 2021 so I get email from them (vayama) saying that my refund get processed and I will get my money back in 10 business days I contact them again today 6 March 2021 to see why I took so long they told me oh sorry you have to contact Qatar airways to refund your money because w transfer your money to them and when I contact Qatar airway they told me sorry we cannot help you vayama need to refund you money because you didn't book directly to us so I feel this is really disappointed I don't know what I need to do help please

On January 11th 2020 I bought two tickets Medellín - Madrid - Medellín departing on May 21st 2020 (I paid $4.393.124 Colombian pesos) through Vayama, with code VCO-1572084.
Due to Covid19 pandemic, the flights were cancelled, and although Vayama states the airline (Avianca) approved the refund, Avianca firmly states they do not give a refund, but a bonus, that is already approved but it has to be redeemed only with Vayama.
I have written several times and even called Vayama, but so far I have not been able to make the bonus effective.
Desired outcome: I request the refund or the bonus for the same amount aknlowledged by Vayama
Airline Cancellation Refund
I booked a flight through Vayama in August of 2019. Paid for the flight in full using American Express which was more than $1200. The flight was cancelled by Turkish Air in May 2020. I have been receiving placating emails from customer service at Vayama only when I have contacted them and I get the same response that they are waiting on refund from Turkish Air. It has been more than 18 months since they received my payment in full.

I called United Airlines and they told me that the refund was sent to Vayama on 12/18/20 it was also sent to my email as proof and I still haven't gotten my refund back and all I get is generic emails saying they are waiting for the airline it is my Money not Vayama.com money. I have been waiting since April for my refund. It is way to much time to wait for a refund I should have been received it

Vayama is just looting people of their money. They keep sending generic emails about your refund being processed, but no answers on whether it was really filed or not.
I contacted my airlines directly and they asked for the refund application number from Vayama. Vayama has still not given me my refund application number after begging and pleading for over a month.
At this point I have realised vayama has just shut doors and has no employees left to process any of our refunds.
Thoroughly disappointed and dont know where to go and get my $2500.
No Refund or Recourse
I booked tickets on 05/25. I cancelled my tickets on 08/13 and accepted the penalties. It is now 12/29 and I still have no refund. Vayama does not answer the phones, and the emails are just generic. It seems that there are no people on board anymore. This has cost me $3000. In the future, I will be booking directly with the airlines.

I scheduled an Air Canada flight (AC760) through Vayama that was to depart SFO on June 5, 2020 with a final destination of VCE airport and a return date of July 24 on flight 1907. The flight was subsequently canceled due to Covid-19. Air Canada indicated that I need to go through the travel agent that booked my flight in order to get a refund. I contacted Vayama about a refund and they responded that they would be working with the airline to get me a refund. I would periodically get an update from Vayama (the last of which was on Dec. 4) telling me that they were still working with the airline to get the refund. It is now 12/23 and I have not received the refund or any new updates on the matter. Vayama does not answer their phones and does not respond to my emails.

This is the ticket number bought through Vayama for a LOT Airlines flight.
My flight on April 1st 2020 was canceled due to Covid. According to Vayama customer service, the LOT Airlines have issued my refund and supposedly sent it directly to my account. I have contacted my bank several times over the course of couple of months and they confirmed that there is no problem with processing and IF the refund was sent I would get it, but nothing was sent. I suspect that the LOT Airlines has issued my refund but to Vayama who is holding it and isn't releasing it to my account.
I have been emailing back and forth with Vayama customer service for months now. They keep sending me generic replies and aren't resolving my issue. I bought my ticket through Vayama and they are responsible for giving me back my refund.

Flight reservation
Last September I purchased a return flight from Vayama and got a reservation number.
A week later I called them to change my flying dates, talked to one of their representative and had my new flight scheduled. I never received any new confirmation number nor any information about my booking.
I took the first flight, the second one is next week and
1) I cannot get in touch with them, the website says something is wrong and there is no way to contact them;
2) the airline company doesn't have any trace of the reservation.
It was just a big scam with apparently no recourse as they don't answer.

The reason I say this is because Vayama responded to our complaint on 01/21/22. Their response was ;
"Dear Ms. Lane,
First of all, we apologize for any inconvenience you have faced with regards to this case.
Please be informed that our customer service team has been directly made aware of your request. Upon further review, the customer service team has found that you had filed for a chargeback with your bank and this chargeback/dispute case was lost by us. This means that your bank won the case and the credit provided to you by your bank when the dispute was raised by you has not been reversed by them.
Hence, we can not process a refund for this booking as it has been settled with your bank directly. For any further clarifications, we request you to recheck with your bank on the same.
Please note that due to the high number of requests we are receiving from customers as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequent disruptions, we regrettably are (or have not been) not able to respond to every customer as quickly as we would prefer. We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
*I responded via the BBB with ALL of the email proof from the credit card company and the emails where Vayama refused to accept the proof. I was told by a lawyer that if I wanted to sue them that this step needed to be taken. If everyone starts filing complaints and showing their proof, it WILL get noticed. There are a lot of us they stole from. Let's start making some noise.
We have the same experience with Vayama. Had booked flights to Italy in March of 2020 which were then canceled, and for the last 2 years both Vayama and the airline (Lufthansa) have been asking us to be patient, they were working on it. I finally got through to someone at Lufthansa and they said they had refunded our money to Vayama in May of 2020! I've written Vayama with no response. I would join a lawsuit to get our money back.
