credit card over
On 5/5/2015, I received an email from WF that my attempted transfer of $2, 588 did not go through. After calling the other institution, I found out it was rejected because of a recent deposit had not cleared. OK no problem, so I thought. I then called WF 800 number and explained why the payment was returned, and the agent told me he "would take care of it"...
Read full review of Wells Fargo and 76 commentsthey lost my $3000 deposit
Wells Fargo is at fault for my family going without the only money I get each month. I did things the way I always have, went through the drive through as I have my grandson with me. I deposit my monthly $3000.00 check and usually I have no problem. I deposit do my bills and mail them out. Well the deposit was made on the 2nd of the month and I usually check on the 15th of every month with the automated teller to find out what checks cleared and my balances. Well I about had a heart attack when everything was showing overdrafts returned check fees just all kinds of crazy stuff. I called the 800 number and spoke with a rep who verified that indeed my money was gone...never deposited. She said she saw no record of my deposit. I said well I have the receipt showing I deposited it and I was understandably VERY upset. She said just calm down we will put it in for investigation and you will be called within the next 5 business days as to what we find. So I filed that and when I got off the phone I thought well why was I not notified by my branch bank of all the STRANGE activity going on with my account. I've done things the same way for 5 years with no problem. It was that banks responsibility to notify me of which they did not at all not even by mail...where were these bounced check notices? Yeah crazy. so I waited for them to call me with the results while we struggled to buy food for the rest of the month...They NEVER called me with any results at all. Finally after waiting 8 days I called the 800 number again and gave the lady the reference number of the investigation and she said "well what do you want us to do about it?" I said I want to know where my money is and she was rude as hell to me and I said I would like to talk to your supervisor who got on the phone and promptly hung up on me. So I thought that had to be by accident and waited for him to call me back. Wait 20 minutes. no call. So I called back yet again got a different call center in South Dakota. The woman was very nice and listened and put me through to her supervisor who gave me more help than anyone I had spoke to prior. He said it was very unprofessional that no one had called me with the results of the investigation and he got ahold of my branch manager and I spoke with him. He asked me why I didn't just come to him, I told him well if it was your $3000.00 wouldn't you be pissed? He tried to play it off that the teller made a mistake and put it in my savings and I said sir that's simply NOT true. I spoke to a rep of Wells Fargo at the beginning of the investigation and she said it was not in either of my accounts. He pretty much just blew me off and said give me 15 minutes to clear up your account...no apologies from my branch at Wells Fargo or any upper management at Wells Fargo. There are still items on my account that are not fixed. Wells Fargo simply does not respect their customers at all. I never got anything else from them.
unprofessional
Wells fargo has the worst people I have ever dealt with. I was late 2 payments but I called them and let them know it was late and told them I made the full late payments, I even asked them if everything was squared away and they had the audacity to say yes however, the next day they repoed my car. Now, they have been transferring me around not trying to help me and want the full balance which they have been telling me different amounts all day. They have basically told me to F*** Off! What are the ethics of these people not willing to help and just transfer me around within their same department giving me [censored] for 2 days! I've called today and they told me that they have already sold the car and that if I want my car I have to pay 12k which I only owe 4k WTF! this is the worst bank ever!. Worst experience in my life. They're not willing to help anyone and just rob people.
3 weeks worth of harassing phone calls & texts
On February 3, 2015, I was assigned a new phone number from Consumer Cellular. The phone number is [protected]. Since February 3, I have been inundated with robo phone calls and text messages. I finally called back Wells Fargo Credit Card Services last week, I spoke to two different reps and explained to them my name and that I was not the person they are trying to contact. I thought the matter was settled. NO! I ignored their calls & texts for the next week, giving them the benefit of a doubt that their records take a while to correct. Yesterday, there were THREE phone calls from Wells Fargo, the last being at 8:00 at night. Also text messages. This morning, I again called Wells Fargo Credit Card Services and spoke to yet another rep. She said the previous rep had not removed the phone number from ALL the accounts and assured me the problem would be taken care of. That was at 10:00 this morning; now, less then four hours later, I got another call from them. I AM SO SICK & TIRED of this harassment! I am 71 years old, my mortgage is with Wells Fargo and I have ALWAYS maintained EXCELLENT credit ratings. I gave them my full name on three different times! I do not have a credit card issued through Wells Fargo and never have had one.
deposit holds
I have been a member of Wells Fargo Bank for about a year. I noticed that when I make deposits, there would be a hold placed on the money. They would use different excuses each time. Some holds would be two to three days, and the most recent 10days.
On the recent deposit, I received a message in form of an email on my on-line baking account with them, saying that a part of the money would be released on a certain date. I went to the branch, spoke with a business manager, and he could not get my money released even though this date had passed. I went back a few days later as I was out of money and have a family of four to feed. I took a copy of the email which again was from my on line banking website, their website, and was told they would release the money. The teller asked the manager who had been showed the copy of the email that she needed her to override something in the system, and she instead made a phone call and then came out and explained to me that they could not honor what they had said. I asked for an answer as to why, and she blamed a different department and said that the funds were not there. Well it had been 5 days since the deposit, and the funds had cleared the other bank.
This has been going on with this bank with us for around a year now. I did research on line and found out that this is being done on a large scale to many of us. Well I am standing up. I contacted an attorney and will file a class action law suite against this unfair bank. If anyone else would like to join me, or has information that will help stop these institutions from taking advantage of their patrons, please email me or call me. thank you for reading.

qbe insurance
I have a car loan with Wells Fargo. They claimed I didn't have insurance when I bought the car so they added a premium to my loan without my permission. I showed them proof of insurance so they stopped charging me the extra 140.00 a month. I received a notice stating that I owe 724.28 because they claim that they had to "rework" my loan so I owe interest and principle. I have 6 late payments on my credit report due to the car insurance. If I didn't show the dealership proof of insurance, they certainly would not have allowed me to drive my new truck off their lot! My wife and I have to move because the place that we are renting is in foreclosure and their are liens against it. I can't rent or purchase a home because they have ruined my credit. If my family and I become homeless, "it's Wells Fargo's fault".
That bank is a fraud. They kept taking money out of my account without me noticing. I called them but these strange phillípino with a strong accent picks up the phone and then tells me she won't refund my money unless I file a claim. I don't care about any of these stupid file claims
continued failure to credit payments when received.
We refinanced in 2001 with World Savings. They were bought by Wachovia which was bought by Wells Fargo. Well, we do not trust WF because of complaints made by our friends with WF mortgages who work for WF. As such, we always mail payments via certified mail. Well we promised a repeat filing of Carducci v. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage case C11-0181PJH. WF's response was to apply a January 2013 extra payment to a 2015 payment. But WF agreed in settling C11-0181PJH to credit payments when received. A review of our WF 2012, 2013 and 2014 mortgage statements confirms WF continues to delay crediting mortgage payments. What this means is delaying crediting a payment means WF receives extra interest for each mortgage. A few extra interest two pennies times 1 million mortgages per month equals an extra unearned $20, 000.00 per month. Loan #[protected]

bi-weekly mortgage scam
Well Fargo Bi-Weekly automatic withdraw program is a fraud. Please be aware, they collect automatically from your account every two weeks but do not apply the payment until both payments are in. This means they are not appropriating mortgagor ' s payments against principal every 15 days, but rather once a month. In a given year there are an extra two or three payments based on the collection calender. Once a mortgagor's payments are accrued one month in advance they then reduce the principal balance. This is a SCAM. True Bi-Weekly programs reduce your principal balance every two weeks not just once a year. Wells Fargo will not allow you to make Bi-Weekly payments and apply against principal upon receipt. Point is, the mortgagor is making 2 or 3 extra payments a year and getting no benefit. The Wells Fargo Bi-Weekly program uses a mortgagor ' s money interest free for 15 days of each month screwing the mortgagor and using the money free of interest. The Controller of Currency being notified of scam.

I am one of the victim also, but they really good at protecting their scam. It's a mistake that I didn't read it carefully before I signed their "Preferred Payment Program" (PPP)
I was solicited from Wells Fargo to setup Bi Weekly payments in order to pay off my loan quicker and I wasn't aware that this was taking place until recently. Of course they are stating differently. In addition to this, I have found that my Loan Balance is actually much lower than what Wells Fargo is stating. Any recent news on situation?
wrong information
I called Wells Fargo Customer Service to get the address for one of my Bill Pays changed and spoke to Jonathon Rodriguez. I told him about a letter I received from my auto loan company asking to change the address that Wells Fargo sends my Bill Pay to. He told me that it could not be changed and if it was no longer a valid address that they would get a notice. I told him the address was a valid address but not the correct address to accept the payments so this would cause a delay on the payments. Basically I read him the letter. He told me again nothing could be done. I asked him to escalate the call and that I didn't think what he was telling me made any sense. He finally forwarded me to another person who helped me in two seconds and changed the address. If I had just taken Jonathon's work the first or second time I would have had a late car payment. I asked to file a complaint and Wells Fargo would not let me talk to a supervisor or listen to my concerns. So I feel like that did not want to make any corrections and the next customer will get the wrong information. WHY WOULDN"T THEY WANT TO FIX A BROKEN PROCESS OR HELP AN ASSOCIATE THAT NEEDS SOME ADDTIONAL TRAINING?

melissa anne work
On September 24, 2014, a Wednesday, I initiated a one (1) business day transfer on Wells Fargo's (www.wellsfargo.com) in the amount of 4, 784.99. On September 29th, I visited my local Wells Fargo Branch located at 710 Polk Ave in Eugene OR 97402. Their phone number is [protected]. I have had nothing but great customer service from this location until lately. I had a good rapport with their previous Branch Manager, Lisa, and even with her predecessor Megan. I have also sat across the desk from Thomas, their district manager, all great to work with. On, September 29th, I spoke with Melissa Anne Work, the current branch manager for this location. Prior to interacting with Melissa, this branch has provided excellent customer service. The previous manager was pleasant, professional, and polite. Melissa Anne Work has been rude, while showing very poor customer service. I have been with Wells Fargo Bank my entire adult life, and my business accounts have been as well.
I explained that the account had not funded, yet the transaction had finalized and posted. She doubted that my transfer had been initiated in a way that would fund in one business day. She explained that if this could be proven, she would finalize and fund the transfer. I logged into my account using her computer, and showed her that the transfer had posted four (4) days prior but the available balance did not reflect the appropriate balance. At this point, she again asked for proof that it was a one business day transaction. Again, I explained the the transaction had posted... days prior. I was able to locate the email confirmation of the transfer.
She refused to fund the transaction. It was at this point that I realized she was not honoring her word. I asked her to state an exact date for the funding of the account. She explained that she would be glad to. After she got off the phone, I explained that I would be recording our conversation. It was at this point that she instructed me that her manager and security guard would be involved. I left the branch, astonished, to say the least. Years of good customer service, then this. The following week, I visited the store to make a deposit. I was told I was not allowed at that branch, under penalty of criminal trespass.
The funds were made available fifteen (15) days from transaction initiation. I had been banking at that branch for years, and was now not allowed. Again, Melissa Anne Work has shown a true lack of judgment, customer service, and general courtesy towards her customers. Her decision to not allow me at her branch was a completely unreasonable move on her behalf.

not returning my secured card deposit
I used to have a secured credit card with wells fargo for 5000 dollars. All of a sudden wells fargo cancelled the
account saying that I had supplied them with a cease and desist notification. I did not send any notice to wells
fargo. I asked them for the letter which they cannot produce.
Now the issue is that my secure deposit of 5000 dollars is not returned. When I visited the branch I was told it
will come in 7 business days to my mail. When it did not I called Wells Fargo and a supervisor told me that it will
take 60 days. I asked for a letter from them that this will be done. They have not given it and except for my account statements I have no proof that this exists
The account was cancelled on Oct 1st.
I really need my money immediately. I put that money in Wells Fargo in good faith. I did not do anything wrong. Now
I do not have access to my money. If they cancelled my account then they should at least return my money to my checking account.
I request any help I can get to get my money back

fraudulent retention
Wells Fargo refuses to reduce my mortgage payment after we had the local government approve our application to not pay school taxes due to age/finances under their programs to benefit seniors with certain income levels. The approved it the first week of October 2014 and calculated the new monthly payment . We were told this would begin (the lower payment) on Nov.1st 2014. Today, October 17, 2014, when we called we were told no reduction would be given pending further review in May of 2015. The county gave us this reduction in April/May of 2014 and Wells Fargo told us we had to wait until their review in October 2014 (when we contacted them in August 2014). We are absolutely entitled to this reduction because our property taxes were reduced by almost two thirds! They are absolute liars and crooks. They just want to keep the money. Does anyone have any information to help me fight this?

48 month lease
I got into this 48 month lease just did research on this lease, because I honestly just thought it was bulky and ugly and not something I wanted to travel with for my business since I travel a lot. I now know the hell it looks like I have gotten into. I have not yet tried to cancel my lease, Nor have I even ran one purchase or set up the card processor, NOR have I even set up the cc processor. They keep calling wanting me to set it up but I am always gone. I am sure when I call in and request to cancel my lease I am going to get the same options as everyone else, Buyout for 3000 or just stay stuck. Funny that day I was at wells Fargo setting up my business account and trying to get a small loan for a camera rig. They told me it would be around 50 for the lease I am paying 78 a month it looks like though. And on top of that they declined my loan request. So they are fine denying me but I am the one in a 4 year marriage with them.
I would like to know if anyone has any recommendations of what to do. This is not right. And I would LOVE to hear from anyone regarding this issue. Jordan.[protected]@gmail.com

car insurance manipulation and deceit
Was quoted 343.17 for insurance if paid in full. Realized I needed 90.00 to get chantix so offered 200.00 down balance next month. Rep from Progressive gauranteed no change in price. Went on internet found out balance was 220 plus. wells fargo sucks for giving me a con artist fraud. Can't get money back or cancel unless I fill out forms in Fla. So much for Wells Fargo. I'LL BLAST THEM 'TIL I DIE. All negative comments forever.

rude, disrespectful employees speak to customers
This has got to be one of the worst banks I have ever been in. I have (had, shortly) a secured credit card with this bank. I have had stellar payments for over 24 months, wasn't late once and paid the minimum on time or before. On several, not one, several occasions this bank promised me a regular, graduated account. They lied to me and never gave me the...

I was in an auto accident a few months ago where I was stopped at a red light and a customer of Giecos rear ended me in a 45 mph zone throwing my car into the car in front of me.After reporting the accident I scheduled the inspection of my vehicle with mrs nizbit the adjuster.During our meeting it was explained to me that Gieco would put me in a rental car at no cost.I specifically ask so it wont cost me anything, Mrs nizbit replied no. After scheduling my vehicle to be repaired at the body shop, it was necessary to obtain the rental on a saturday due to the commute i take to work every week. Once i got to enterprise they contacted my auto insurance who would not cover me in the rental, They then called giecos 1800 number who said they would not cover the insurance either but to contact the adjuster to see what they could do.Having to be at work Monday and the imformation mrs lizbit told me I took the rental by no choice due to no transportation. after a few days enterprise called me and charged my account 155.00$. after a few more days i recieved a voice mail that enterprise was trying to charge my account again. I then proceeded to call a banker at wells fargo. I explained the situation and that gieco said i wouldnt have to pay for anything.I told the banker i would like to cancel my card so it could no longer be charged. The banker cancelled the card with the understanding that my account would not be charged again. I checked on my vehicle at the body shop where i was imformed that they where held up by the adjuster not returning their calls or emails delaying the return of the rentalOnce my car was completed I returned the rental to Giecos office where I spoke with mrs lizbits mannager where i told him she stated i wouldnt have to pay for anything and I specified that im not paying anymore i was already out 155.00 and even said ill take that loss but im not paying anymore. The manager said he would contact enterprise and cover the remaining balance.a few days later derik from enterprise calls me, agasin I explain that the manager at gieco said they where going to cover the rest he said he would contact Gieco.three weeks later on my birthday I was waiting for a check to clear where i had my work boots rebuilt.the following morning i checked my account and was over drawn. With no curtousy call enterprise ran over a 250 charge to the cancelled card. I contacted my bank immediately where they didnt care what the previous banker said the card can still be charged due to enterprise putting a hold on the card. I then called Enterprise where derik answered the phone. As I was explaing the situation he said yeah that was me you talked to let me get you a manager. Speaking with the manager Gieco never contacted them nor did they contact Gieco as they said they would. Now Gieco wouldnt even return my call. So in a nut shell Gieco is not holding up to there part and delayed the return of the rental running the bill up that they agreed to cover twice.Enterprise never contacted Gieco and fraudulently charged my account with no knowledge close to a month later.Wheres the common curtousy. Wells Fargo allowed the charge even after the original banker agreed after canceling my card it wouldnt be charged. Their answer was well that banker may not have known.Well then what kind of employment are they if supposedly they dont train their employees. In the mean time Im over 350$ in debt plus another 96$ i had in my account for the check for my boots and hopefully no criminal charges will be brought up on the returned check for the boots in the amount of 83$. All because I was sitting at a red light minding my own buisness when Giecos customer rear ends me. How does that work I go into financial distress from someone hitting me, Ididnt wreck into nobody. the amounts are rounded off not including the overdraft and return check fees yep theres 2 additional charges can get bank statements and the crummy report including scratches and dings that arent there by mrs lizbit. I just purchased the car last december there where no problems. I also told mrs lizbit of the electrical problems im having as in sun roof not closing she said she would have it looked at yeah right. i also told her about my car over heating and loosing coolant. Her response was your car wasnt hit that hard. I didnt know she was in the car with me when their customer plowed into me about 30 or 35 whipping my back and neck around. I had my foot on the brake its a stick and was still thrown into the car in front of me

charging excessive fees
Don't ever open an account at Wells Fargo Bank. They are a bunch of crooks. They charge a fee of seven dollars and fifty cents to cash a check written on their bank. This practice is a disgrace and then they wonder why they are losing business. I will never walk into a Wells Fargo bank again as long as I live.
Do you know of some bank that wants a lot of strangers to come in and cash checks for free? You are using the time of a person that needs to be paid and there is a risk that some of the checks are stolen and forged. Who has to pay for fraud? The answer is, you do. You can get a checking account at a credit union, maybe free, maybe cheap. Deposit checks in your account.
manager never handle accounts
Wished me Happy Thanksgiving.I wanted my checking out legally. She only understand me to be the legal Customer.Allowed another Manager at different Branch to speak for my Bank account at her Branch.Did not have any authority so justice was taken from me with this not helping me who had thousands of transactions staying on my small budget plan for me Mr Chris legally gave me the account to handle my bills not Agents freezing my account.Rachael a real Bank Manager for Wells Fargo had knowledge at Port Arthur Branch assisting me to close my account safely.Complaint is left for them to be aware not to treat me like it was a bogus checking account
mortgage company claims escrow shortage
We received an annual report from Wells Fargo, claiming there was a shortage in our escrow account. When we called regarding this, we were told it was because our county and city taxes had an increase. Upon further research (with tax authority) there was no increase.
Wells Fargo wanted an immediate payment of $749.23 and monthly payments would go up, from $889.50 to $936.69. Or the second option was for mortgage payments to increase to $999.13.
After numerous calls, they are now admitting there was no increase in taxes but that the original paperwork and figures were calculated incorrectly.
It's impossible to get an actual bank employee on the phone. Only call center answers.
We are first time home buyers and are at a loss of what to do.

Great Article. blog post ! I loved the points, Does anyone know if my assistant would be able to obtain a blank ATF 4 (5320.4) document to use ?
An escrow account keeps a certain amount of money in it to cover possible FUTURE increases. If you do not want them to keep an escrow account then you need to change the Mortgage to a Home equity account and you need to pay all the bills yourself. (Taxes, Insurance, etc...) Some lenders will not let you do this since they want to make sure the payments are made. That said, they will recheck the account every year and adjust accordingly.
Hello VanVeck,
You are on the right path so keep doing what you are doing! With that said, I have a few more suggestions for you as to how to put this matter to bed for good. I routinely look for posts to answer in hopes that it will not only bring optimism to those homeowners and borrowers in distress but also some basic information to assist in fighting the banks that are "too big to fail" like Wells Fargo but yet don't appreciate the bailout that we provided in their time of need. The debt collectors like Ocwen and Nationstar are simply just ### but they can be beat at their own game too just like the big banks can be defeated.
It pains me that you have fallen victim to the unfair, deceptive and abusive practices of Wells Fargo but you do have rights and I would be more than happy to educate you as to how to fight for your rights. My firm routinely seeks out complaints online so that we can educate as to how to fight back on our weekday show called "The Daily Complaint" where we review a complaint and how to tackle it successfully. We reviewed your complaint on the show today if you would like to listen, visit www.TheDailyComplaint.com
Now that you have evidence that neither your taxes or insurance have increased, it would be best to know the exact laws that Wells Fargo has violated (start here with HUD & RESPA http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/program_offices/housing/ramh/res/respafaq) then to put it all together in a qualified written request (QWR) to Wells Fargo so you have it all documented for now and in the future in case you need to do it all over again, which is too often the case. The actions of Wells Fargo are a violation of your consumer rights as well as Federal law. Therefore, you must "know your rights" as I say many times through the radio show (www.TheDailyComplaint.com) and as I did today when we covered your complaint.
You can contact me via email or website or via phone as I would be more than happy to contact Wells Fargo on your behalf since we speak with them on a daily basis to ensure the rights of our clients are not further violated. In fact, END Consulting (my firm) is working with an Investigator for a NY Law Firm that is seeking participants for a class-action lawsuit against Ocwen (they have agreed to consider other companies and cases as well) for escrow violations just like yours; I can put you in touch with him immediately if you want to send an email to me at Dana@ConsultingEND.com.
END Consulting is a full service strategic debt and credit consulting firm started in 2006 with expertise is debt negotiations coupled with an exceptional track record of strategic consulting to include the real estate industry with a formidable business foundation. We have successfully assisted over 100 clients in the past year alone in achieving desired results with regards to their mortgage loan(s) by stripping down the validity of the debt and forcing the lender or servicer to work with our clients to provide ethical, legal and affordable mortgage workout solutions.
