We purchased our original unit in West Gate Lakes over 20 years ago which I thought had some merit as loyal customers but apparently not. In 2019 with our kids grown we visited Cocoa Beach and decided to transfer our ownership there. We really enjoyed the beach area. We enjoyed our first year so much that in 2020 while visiting with our children we decided to purchase a second unit. We met with the same sales person and Mr Grimes and all seemed well until the next year when we went to trade. It was never filled explained to myself nor my husband that the offer price for the second unit was for a “value” week trade. Not only that but our original unit was downgraded from “all” to value as well. I had tried to call Mr. Grimes and wrote a letter to headquarters to no avail. I just now discovered this site. I can not tell you how disappointed and the anguish this has caused us because now we can not even take our grandchildren on vacation during spring breaks which was the whole reason we purchased the second unit to begin with. Also our trying to get into Gatlinburg has been all but impossible. I know it’s been a rough couple years with Covid but, not even a response to phone call or letters has been extremely disappointing. We feel as loyal owners we were shafted in this deal! We have always been on time with payments and have introduced many people to Westgate.
Desired outcome: We would like to reinstate out trade power to ‘all’ and so we can enjoy our vacations with our grandchildren as we did with our own children during our 20 plus years of ownership.

Double payment
My credit card was charged twice for the same amount Last Dec. 28. 2022 when I paid the HOA for 2023 for $1259. First payment was on Dec 27 but I received a message from the bank that it was declined. Was advised to transact again but I did not realize the bank approved my first transaction. I repeated the transaction on Dec. 28th. Turned out the bank again approved the 2nd transaction. The 2nd transaction was a mere duplication. Kindly reverse the second payment and reimburse to my credit card (MC [protected]) the sum of $1259.

I requested a refund of my overpayment of the 2023 maintenance fees earlier. I cannot find an email address where I could send my request. I used my card to charge the amount due last Dec 27,2022 but the bank declined. After calling the bank I was advised to transact again so they can honor the debit transaction. It turned out the first transaction was successful. The 2nd transaction was successful too and is a case of double payment.
Canceling of timeshare
I have sent letters to Westgate for past 4 months about possible ways to get rid of our timeshares but have not received any calls, emails, or letters in response. They sure suck you in to buying quickly but are not there when things change. They never give you time to read anything but rush by telling you what sounds good, very disappointed. Letters were sent on August 31, 2022, September 29,2022, and November 18, 2022.

Timeshare Purchase
I was coaxed to make a foolish so-called investment in August 1999. They didn't mention that the maintenance fee would increase in the future, but it has continuously increased since I purchased it in 1999. My family and I have taken nine vacations in the odd years to date. The salesperson kept pressuring me to invest in the timeshare (I admitted I had no idea what a timeshare was back then). More and more pressures have built up over the years, and I have tried to work with Westgate Resorts to cancel my contract because of my fixed income, and they continuously deny me for no reason. I have paid this note in full but cannot continue paying maintenance fees. My husband has had several health ailments this year, which we have also explained to them, and we requested hardship options to close. Still, no help from them has been received. It is not feasibly possible for us to use this timeshare further as we now reside in Alaska.

Westgate Villas Room and customer service.
I gave my son and family my week in October to November, their flight in was in the morning so they checked in at 12 noon was told room was not ready they will text when ready. Did not get a text until 5 pm. Had this timeshare since 1995 and nothing except for the appliances were upgraded. The pullout bed in the couch the mattress had stains on it. There was no room service the whole week. Asked for sheets and towels which they sent over at 11 pm in a plastic bag with bugs in it. The towels were stained. My son took picture's and they were terrible so embarrassing to see that. The last night someone moved in upstairs and were making loud banging noises at 1 in the morning. Never had I seen such poor customer service the resort is going downhill for sure. The swan boats were not open, the miniature golf was closed for repairs from 2 years ago.
Westgate not honoring there word.
I received timeshare in divorce settlement and Westgate said I had to get Anthony Lewis to sign a quick claim deed. So I paid 600,00 dollars which they said 450.00 was refundable but the 150.00 wasn't. Anthony Lewis refused to sign quick claim deed so I asked for my 450.00 back and they said I can't get anything back. I want to get rid of time share but .he has to sign. I will not pay maintenance fees because Westgate lied. [protected] and mistreats there customers.

PKG deal $59
I was told I'd qualify for vk PKG of $59. They called me on Friday and sd I did not qualify and charged more than you can get on line.
Waited until the day before we are supposed to arrive to advise us we did not qualify. So instead of paying $59 we pd $355 . I am disabled Law enforcement. First responder. Which is crazy they didn't let us know ahead of time.
Room
October 2022-Just arrived home from our 5 day trip that was perfect other than our room at Westgate Lakes Resort. I will start with a couple positive things. The pool area was nice and the area outside the market place and restaurant was a nice area to hang out.
But unfortunately, our room (building 90) was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. We were in a 1 bedroom, partial kitchen, as it was just my
daughter and me.
When we arrived to the room, it was very warm and humid in the room and it had a very old, dirty, damp smell. I was hoping when we turned the air down, it would be ok, but it was never ok.
The room is small, extremely outdated, dirty with broken fixtures. And the sheets/bedding on the bed were dirty. I did not realize how dirty until waking up after the first night. And also had a big black bug crawling up my pajama pant when I got out of bed.
After night 1 of being in this smelly, humid (I mean actually wet) room. I went to the front desk to tell them the sheets were dirty, and about the bug, and that the room was horribly humid.
They told me they would put in a work order for the sheets to be changed, and the humidity fixed. Well, none of that ever happened, all they did was put a bag of linens outside our door.
I called again, they said housekeeping would come, nope, they just came and put yet another bag of linens outside the door.
Instead spending time enjoying my vacation,
I changed the dirty, nasty linens on the bed that were also wet and damp and smelly due to room conditions.
Im absolutely positive I had slept on sheets/bedding that were never changed from the guests before me not realizing it until the next morning. And between that and the big black bug, I could not have been more disgusted.
Nothing was ever done about any of it. And all of this really affected our trip. My daughter and I both never felt clean, we had damp clothes and sheets the entire time and smelled nasty from the room smell that was in all of our clothing.
Besides all of that, the faucet in the bathroom was not even really attached to the sink, the furniture was broken and the doors were falling off of it. The kitchen was dirty and outdated. Shower would not heat up, I can’t even begin to describe the room condition.
Also, a constant ringing alarm was going off all night and then 1 whole afternoon.
I am so sorry I chose to Stay here as it would have been such a nice trip if we had a decent room. We are so glad to be home (and both showered immediately) all because of the horrible living conditions we had to deal with, how very sad to have such limited time for a vacation and have all of this to deal with. DO NOT STAY HERE. You will regret it.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund as we were unable to enjoy our vacation due to the horrible room conditions and lack of customer service response.

In January I purchased two contracts. I was almost immediately locked out of the owner portal and unable to make a payment. There apparently was a cease and desist placed and no one at Westgate would speak to me. My credit was destroyed.
Fast forward to today. They apparently canceled the contracts; refunded most of my money but have not provided any explanation. They now report the contracts charged off despite the fact that I was current.
Desired outcome: fix my credit and return the rest of my funds

When making reservations for the Las Vegas location of Westgate Resort and Casino, we were told our stay will be 1/2 price if we sit thru timeshare sales pitch. We were told would only take 60 - 90 minutes and no pressure. We were held hostage for 4 hours and 45 minutes. I recently has oral surgery, the pain med wore off and I asked to go get my pain med and was told to wait longer. I was in obvious discomfort and the sales rep just ignored my pain. We were told it is a real estate investment, we could easily sell if we decided to, maintenance fees would not go up and HOA fees would stay same, we could rent out our timeshare and make lots of money (the sales rep said he had 2 timeshares and has made over $400k this year - why was he pushing 70, still working, and wearing cheap jewelry?), . Plus my husband looked at reviews on line and read all the horror reviews. The same lies told to them were told to us. We decided this wasn’t for us. Since we were not buying, we were kept hostage and pressured for almost 5 hours. The initial price was $60k and after several price changes went down to $7k. We kept telling the sales rep that we were not going to buy, we just wanted to be signed off so we could get our room discount. He brushed us off and kept pressuring us. The 3rd and last person sent to pressure us was very rude and inappropriate and tried to sell to us. I told her that I wasn't trying to be rude but the sales rep told us you were going to sign us off so we could go. She angrily accused us of not letting her do her job, said we certainly gave the "other two plenty of time" (actually, we were held captives). She continues to be angry and be rude. Again, I told her that I wasn't trying to be rude, the sales rep said she was going to sign us off. She said she didn't know what we were talking about and had to look for the sales rep. I saw the sales rep a few feet from us but she didn't go talk to him, she went to an office to speak with someone else. I waved the sales rep over and told him what happened. He a played it off and acted like he didn't know she was attempting to sell to us. The woman finally came back and began to lecture me and repeat what she already said. We finally got angry, stood up and our voices were raised. People started looking and that was the only reason we were finally allowed to leave. This hard pressure sales tactic and holding customers captives should not be allowed. I know that we are not the only ones complaining about these unethical tactics yet it is still common practice. Besides that nightmare, we were given a room that was already occupied. When we finally got another room, it was in poor condition. The shower didn’t work, the sink plug was stuck in closed position so the sink would not drain, the veneer on the bathroom cabinet was peeling and hanging and there was veneer pieces on the floor. The room decor was outdated, poor lighting, and looked like a pimps bedroom, and it had a bad smell. The whole 19th floor smelled. Our stay was from 9/23/22 to 9/25/22, room 1903. Twice, I asked that the shower be fixed but it was never fixed during our stay. This hotel is a dump.
Desired outcome: Change unethical sales tactics, be respectful of customers decision to not buy, allow customers to leave when you learn they are not going to buy a timeshare, fix the rooms and get rid of the smell. Give us a refund and appologize

On 9/22/22, after we explained to the finance team we were not interested in a time share, we were told we should not have wasted their time for discounted Disney tickets and we should have spent more time in Disney World with our kids. This was an extremely backhanded thing to say by an extremely rude employee, Claudia! We will never do business with Westgate! And she should be fired for her smug attitude and terrible customer service!

High pressure to purchase
After begin at a hotel meeting for nearly 8 hours and them using their high pressure approach, forcing you in to purchasing this timeshare because it felt like they would not let us leave. I had my children with me and they would not let up after several attempts trying to leave it was like they where at the door anywhere you turned. I honestly felt afraid at some point. I just wanted to get out of there. Westgate has had several complaints and even lawsuits for them doing people this way. All I wanted to do was to get out of there.
Desired outcome: Please remove this off of my credit.
Unit unsanitary one bedroom
9/11 Sunday checking, 9/13 Tuesday, called housekeeping about washroom clean bath towels with blood stains, & fitted sheet. Floor dirty, unit, etc, then on 9/14 Wed they brought new towels and replaced fitted blood stain sheet, 9/25 Thursday called when open new towels and used one to dry after pool had blood stains, supervisor from housing came with another cleaning lady took picture of bloody towel and took the bag and repl with other bundle of towels, then later in the night before going to bed checking flat sheet, found bloody stained flat sheet, so housekeeping again did not change or brought again another dirty bloody stain flat sheet, after replacing the fitted sheet that was stained the day before...
This is unsanitary, boodyvtowels and bed sheets...
This unit was not clean.
I request an investigation and accountability of the unsanitary unit conditions & reimbursement of my maintenance fee.

Unit Owner one bedroom at the town center Kissimmee fl westgate resort.
Another issue was also that upon my checking the name Maria Rosado, was on my reservation not my name which iam the owner.
I couldn't had internet option set up and other issues because of it.
My door keys were not working when issued to me upon checking in on Sunday. Had to go back to get it scan again after the inconvenience of unloading to unit.
Desired outcome: I request my maintenance fee reimbursed for the lack of maintenance housekeeping responsibility as per contract agreement of maintenance of my unclean & unsaniary unit as paid...
Condition of suites
We had a room 732 . We got to room with temp 84 degrees . Air-conditioning not working . Dishwasher full of blackish gray water murky with foul odor .. Called front desk was told someone would be sent to room now. No one ever came .my daughter called the office after about an hour w. Explained the sit conditioning is not working . I called today about a letter I received from Westgate resorts Florida today stating my payment wasn't received. (I had fraudulent charges in July on my credit card so they stopped my account, payment wasn't made in July but I called in August to tell them what happened they were very nice and said they would not charge a late fee and I paid for July and august that day.) Today I called telling them I received this letter stating I owe for August but I paid, the first lady was nice and she said she saw where the problem was but then we were disconnected. I called back and got Joanna as a customer service Rep and she had an attitude from the start telling me that it was owed from June, I said no clearly you can see June was paid, then she said that it was ate fees I paid, I said no you can clearly see the amount is the monthly payment doubled so I am paid for July and August, she would not listen to word I had to say she talked over me and was very ignorant. She wouldn't help me at all, I asked to speak to her manager she said there was no one above her. She said she could transfer me to Travel so I said yes, When Ruby got on the phone I again explained what had happened, she told me everything was fine and they would take care of it, I just hope this is the truth. AS FOR JOANNA SHE NEEDS TO BE FIRED FOR TREATING PEOPLE THE WAY SHE DOES! I AM NOT HAPPY WITH HER CUSTOMER SERVICE NOR THE WAY SHE HANDLED MY CALL OR THE WAY SHE WOULD NOT LISTEN TO WHAT I WAS SAYING TO HER!
Desired outcome: I want to make sure my account is taken care of the way the last rep told me. That July and Aug shows as paid on your account like shows on my credit card.

I would like to start out with that when we got there to register the front desk did not even know we were owners. Then we got to the room and it was a studio with a sofa bed there was no sheets or blankets. I had to call to get them and after 2 to 3 hours later I finally got them. The toilet was not working right it would flush and it would not stop. The shower head was leaking and the bathroom floor was flooded that we had to clean it up. The internet was so bad that there was not internet. The next day I call to ask for more blankets because the room was so cold because we only had sheets to cover ourselves I was told that they were sending it, never came. The next day we went to the concierge desk to ask about the rackets for tennis and the guy told us that it would be at the tennis court obviously was not there. We had to ask one of the employees that are driving the golf cart and he told us were to go. When we went to ask for the rackets there were none. We were very disappointed with the amenities. We
were at Westgate Town Center Resort & Spa.
Desired outcome: I would like a response and what can be done for us to reserve again because it was our first time and we were not satisfy at all.
Traumatized while in hotel.
My 2 teenagers and I, Stayed at the Hotel in Orlando West Gates Resort and Spa in Fla 6/6/2022 thru 6/10/22. When we arrived at the Hotel The person put us in a room far away from anything and it was gross.
It had just one bed and a couch bed. Not what I, booked. it was very dirty. Then the AC Did not work correctly. So, I, called up to the desk to tell them. They sent someone he had no idea. everything in the room was sticky. Then no Towels. then I, opened the roll a bed it did not have anything on it at all but BUGS So I, called up front again they said they would send someone. All they did was bring sheets The room they put us was scary. so, I, started to look for a different hotel. Everything was booked up.
Then while I, was looking for another hotel. My, Son called me and told me the toilet BROKE. And when I, got back to the room. The people next to us Started banging on the walls and our door. then they were in a fist fight in the hall then one person said to the other I, am going to get my gun and start shooting the place up. so, we packed everything up and went to the front desk again. and I, told them I, wanted another room. then they said it will be another charge for moving us. My, children were crying and shaking. I, said you have got to be kidding me. they said no. So, we were put in another room. Then I, was so stressed out I, had heat stroke. There were so many people there you could not even get into any pool. I, have been talking to everyone I, can fine to get my money back. I am tired of having to do this.
Desired outcome: I, want a full refund of 1,315.42 and 281.25 and 112.45 and 1,198.00 Total Amount of 2,907.95. and there was false advertisement. This is what I, have been charged You can even put it back on my Credit Card. Judy Borovik [protected].
