Is there a class action lawsuit against Westgate in Orlando. I purchased a timeshare with the understanding I could resell easily or they would buy it back. The man the did my paperwork convinced me to put my daughter on the deal to help her "future". Not only have we never used the timeshare they won't even consider buying it back no one will buy it!

Westgate resorts hired an employee who drives a 2005 Chevy equinox with an Illinois tag storing drugs out of it . He also used synthetic urine to pass the urine test for the job and stole from us the two weeks that we left him stay here . I don't feel that it is right for him to get employment this way when there are many people who could use his job

Booking Westgate away from home property:
1. $259 Reinstatement Fee
2. $150 Resort Exchange Fee
3. No availability - however there is availability on; Booking.com, Expedia, Priceline, Hotels.com, Travelocity etc.
Representative advised Owner that these companies pre-purchase their rooms (not true - all extranet channels have the same amount of inventory loaded. When inventory is low the extranet channels are then shut down.) This is called Room and Revenue Management.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. I arrived at the resort at 1a.m. and after checking in & unpacking I went to take a shower and the tub had alot of long hair in the tub which told me that the room was not cleaned. I called the front desk and told them about it & gave us another room. When I went to get in the bed there was blood on the sheet. Totally exhausted from the 6 & a half hour drive that I just pulled the sheet off and laid on the blanket that I had brung. I woke up around 7 with a headache and not feeling well so I knew something was not right so I went to get a soda & there was a roach! Totally disgusted but determined to make the best if the trip I went in the bathroom and there was mold on the ceiling and around the toilet it was so dirty & nasty it looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. I go down stairs to speak with the Manager but it was allt of people around h I didn't want to have the conversation with other guests around so I waited until it had cleared out. I showed her the pics I had taken of all the issues & The Manager did upgrade us to a suite. We went & packed up for the third time & moved again to another room. When I asked could we get a late check out since we had spent so much time changing rooms & totally dissatisfied by this experience I was told I had to pay $75. REALLY! This so called resort is the worst resort or hotel that I have ever stayed at! I hope they correct the issues & do more than spray insecticide in the rooms which I seen housekeeping doing the morning I switched rooms which proves they know they have roaches but more importantly get rid of the mold that is/can make people sick!
I do not have a specific story to tell, there have been so many over the years. We bought at the Villas in Orlando around 1994 and a few years later purchased in the town center. A long time ago, I got over the fact that the sales people promise a lot of perks that never happen. My number one complaint is the shape of the rooms. They are always, ALWAYS dirty. Every year I clean the whole place on the first day. Hairs all in the bath and bedroom. The bathtub has mold in the jets, around the edges are more hairs and just plain dirt. One swipe with a paper towel and its black. I sweep and mop all the floors, and bring a little vacuum from home for the carpet. The table and floor and chairs in the screen room are always nasty too. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have a copy of the checklist that the housekeepers use? I would very much like to get a copy of it.

I and my family visit Westgate in TN this past weekend. We went on tour for the travel club. The lady Randi was rude and very insensitive. My mother has health problems and when we told her that she could not walk up the steep hills she made the comment that maybe she should not have come when we said that my mom would wait while we go, she said that my mother had to go. She then proceeded to rush us even though we told her that my mother could not walk that fast, she then kept saying rude comments such as that this is a waste of her time and that she knew that we were that type of people when she saw us. I believe that she was referring to the fact that we were Hispanic and Black. My boyfriend heard her and told her that he hoped that she didn't think that we didn't have the money to pay for it and she repeated she knew that we were that type of people when she saw us. This happens right after touring the suit which my mother ended up not coming up to, she because she started feeling bad. When we returned to the bench were, we left my mother and she was not there. One of the guests saw us looking for her and she told us that security took her back to the front because she was feeling really light headed and sick. Randi got an attitude and said O My Got, but with an attitude. I refused to deal with her after that. Which is a shame because we liked Westgate and were going to sign up for the travel club, but instead left out with a bad taste in our mouths. What made things worse was that my 12-year-old son kept asking the whole day, "Why was she acting and treating us so bad?" and "Why didn't she care that MeMa was sick?". I was going to leave it alone as the worst experience of our trip, but today my son asked me again out the blue, "Why was she acting and treating us so bad?" and "Why didn't she care that MeMa was sick?" that he really wanted to go to their waterpark. Feeling this not only ruined part of our vacation but also affected my son in such a way I decided to write a complaint and asked that something is done about it.

They use high pressure tactics. I was misled about giving up a once every 2year for a once a year. It was more money and not a lock off. I got behind. They tell to bad your stuck with it.we still go there every year and they try and get you to do more. i got mad and told them i had a lawyer..i didn't..but since then they have been calling me at home wanting my attorneys name. Terrible, terrible business. The worst. Do yourselves a favor and never buy a timeshare there. You shell out all of this cash and they treat you like dirt and try to shake you down every chance they get. You can't get rid of them once you've bought and if you have a complaint you can't get a manager on the phone to save your life. I am a very disgruntled Westgate Owner. I'm trying to save as many people as I can the misery of owning here.
booking my timeshare week
I tried to book my week within the 2 year time period and they refused. They want to charge an extra $150. Don't buy a timeshare there. High pressure salesman that lie to you. They told me that there was no problem booking within the 2 year period. Now they are saying no. I know that they had a fire a couple of years ago but if they can't live up to there contracts, they should refund the owners.
Be very careful, I have seen many negative comments on the internet, have you ever searched in Google for a timeshare scam at Mayan Palace? you will be surprised! good luck

we have been owners at westgate smokey mountains for several years .. in addition to when we are not using our tme share we rent at both wild bear and river terrace. we have always enjoyed our stays and we frequent both restaurants. today we ca.e down to river terrace for breakfast we were greeted by the most rudest individual. not only were we greeted like that but the family behind us was as well. i dont know what was up her butt ., but she definitely doesnt need to be in the business that she is in.worse part is..come to find out she is your new manager in the restaurant.. im sure she will be happy to chase your customers away...rude rude rude...

I purchased a two-bedroom every other year unit during the value season and have been going the week of Thanksgiving for the last 9 years until the last 3 years when they decided to change the value season. We purchased ours because we liked going at Thanksgiving every year because my wife that teaches is off during that time. Now we can't go because of the change. Help!!!

We went into this hotel not knowing we were in for a timeshare seminar and tour which i was completely ok with we stayed the night went to the breakfast and started the presentation the guy seemd somewhat nice and friendly as the presentation went on he got more aggressive, arrogant, impatient and down right nasty and rude to the point i no longer wanted to stay at the hotel at all i did not buy a timeshare solely based on his poor attitude not the money his attitude and proceeded to bawl my eyes out through the hotel and it ruined the remainder of my stay because he utterly hurt my feelings ... he kept changing the prices of the timeshare did not give much detail or a direct price and when he did he kept changing it trying to beat around the bush called us liars in those exact words and said that we did not spend as much on our vacations as we claimed and also told us that we were not staying at this hotel which we were and brought his manager over and they both argued that we were not at the hotel that we claimed which we are still in this hotel which they did arrogantly he told me to be quiet he was no longer speaking to me because i was too stupid to understand what he was saying he was now speaking strictly to my fiance my fiance asked his name so if we changed our minds we could contact him and give him credit for his sale he said we would never get his name or card or work with him because we did not buy on the spot he kept walking off during presentation i at one point tried to stand up he told me i was not allowed to stand up i needed to sit down and was just flat out nasty to the point like i said i cried and am still upset i had and have the money to do it but i just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible bawling my eyes out i have not been treated so bad at a hotel or place of business in my entire life this will be an unforgetable trip but not because of how great it was but because of how hurt and humiliated i felt other than that the hotel is very nice but most likely i will bot be back simpky because of what happened . His name was RODNEY SANCHEZ BARBA ... and the resort solely lost a new owner based off this mans poor attitude alone i hope nobody coming thru those doors gets treated the way we did

I signed up for breakfast/ resort tour. I was asked if I made $50000/yr. Which is the minimum. We went at 8:45 for our 9 am app't. Not wanting to give my exact amount, I put down the monthly amount which equaled $54K. lack of response to critical concerns
We were somewhat pushed into a tour that we never asked for. We had been drinking because we were in Vegas for a concert. I regret ever discussing agreements with them. I have not benefited 1 bit from their timeshare but have paid a total of $487 to them. They will not respond to any of my inquiries except to reset my password. I just want to be free of this financial burden, which i know for a fact i cannot cover. They never gave me a copy of whatever was agreed so i do not know what we agreed to. They state i have a copy of the unit we "purchased" in our packet and there is no such thing in there. Also the tablet is worthless. i cannot maintain a login to communicate with Westgate. i want to return these 2 items, receive a full refund, and be free of anything further with them. Please and Thank You in advance.
fees and availability
I would be interested in the class action suit. I keep finding out about new fees that were not initially told to us. Also I have called in a few times and they have not been able to reserve the unit we have. They say they can put us in another one but not the floor plan we have. And this is 6 months in advance. Along with the ridiculous maintenance fees.
Also, I have contacted my concierge a few times because she has told us to call/text her when we want to reserve our weeks and she has yet to respond
entire stay from staff, room, housekeeping, and management
Place is disgusting, nowhere near my expectations. Started off with them giving us the wrong room. After going to buy a ton of food for our 6 day stay, we lost half of our frozen stuff. The room they gave looked like a studio small refrigerator, pullout couch bed that looked like something they purchased at a garage sale, room felt and looked dirty. By the time they gave us the room we paid for most of our food had to go in garbage. Housekeeping knocked at door at 7:30am when we asked her to come back we were sleeping she said no she can't, and they don't clean room only drop new towels and toilet paper! I had to physically strip bed linen so they would change our sheets (that were stained and not from us)! GROSS! Then we scheduled to take shuttle following day to Disney, my fiancé, daughter and I woke up to shower before catching shuttle, we had NO shower water ! No pressure at all in shower, toilet water was rusty brown when flushed, and sink water was brown, we called and waited NOONE came, we had to brush our teeth with bottled water and not shower in order to catch shuttle! Following day lugged all our pool stuff to pool only to find a sign that said WESTGATE ONLY! I'm which we found this at 3 different pools and were never told! After lugging everything through parking lot we saw a driver in the carts which seat 6 so we asked to pls give us a ride, his response was I'm waiting for someone. He then passed us a minute later with NOONE in cart! By this time we completely gave up on this place and experience. We went to management which was a joke, everyone passed it on to someone else, during our "timeshare" presentation that we went to and early, we told them our issues and they chose to dismiss us due to obviously not having ANY interest in investing our money here. At minimum they should refund our stay, it was horrible but was told they didn't charge us the $300 for leaving presentation early, when THEY told us they weren't going to keep us so not sure how that was doing us a favor! It was clear we weren't going to buy a timeshare so THEY didn't want to waste their time on us and salesman not get a commission... that's the truth.
Needless to say we are still waiting for a phone call from management... I will not let this end here, we have more than enough valid complaints and pictures so we will see where this goes! Will NEVER go back, and people out there do not waste ur time, it's low class and filthy.

I woke up at 7 am along with my husband and two small children to get them ready for a 11am presentation. We got to the presentation 40 mins before time. 20 mins before time, l went to the front desk(where l was told to go when l first checked into the hotel by a welcome staff) to check in. The staff there spent 10 mins looking for my name, but could not find my information nor my husbands. The manager in that department then came and to look for our in formation, but could not locate that either. After numerous search, she send me to the welcome center. The staff at the welcome center spent numerous time herself looking for my name for the Tour, could not find it. After numerous search, she asked to try with my credit card. After a new search, she was able to locate my information. She then sent me and my husband along with two small children outside of the building to another building for the presentation. After arriving, we was told my an older laude very rudely that we are late and we cannot attend the presentation. She then sent us out of that building back to the welcome center. When we got there, the same staff said to contact hotel Corp. And explain to them what happened. She also stated she would detailed what happened. I contactex6 hotel Corp and was told by the supervisor that she could not help me. My credit card is now charted $224 extra due to missing the Tour because of all the back and forths. No one has even tried or attempt to resolved the issue.

Beware of Westgate Resorts. My husband and I were celebrating his birthday at their Paradise Road Resort in Las Vegas, when Westgate staff offered us a "free breakfast." For a start, the breakfast was very poor, and then this sales rep who could hardly speak English began trying to sell us a timeshare. And he would not stop. He was going on and on and he was ruining our day. When he finally got the message, he went and got his manager and the whole thing began again. These sales reps kept us prisoner in this hot stuffy room for 8 solid hours, the whole day. They finally got us to sign up for one of their timeshares, and we did this just to get out of there. Now we have the timeshare, and we have discovered that it does not work as the reps described it. And how could it? Most of the money we paid went on their commissions. In brief, going to Westgate Resorts is a sure way to ruin your vacation and also your finances. Don't do it! Just say No to Westgate.

I have a westgate timeshare and a westgate cruise and travel membership . I wish I had NEVER done any business with you. no one there knows what the heck they are doing! EVERY month you bug us that our credit card did not go through for our timeshare and EVERY month we give you the credit card information and EVERY month you call again because your people cannot do a simple transaction properly.
then we paid $2000 for a lifetime membership, only to realise it's worthless because we can always find better prices online, elsewhere. I have tried to get into the smoky mountains resort, ever since it opened, and can never get in any time of the year. then your people called and said we could upgrade for just a little bit more and never pay any more fees, then we found out it was a lot more money and we would still have to pay fees. so we called and canceled it.. but that never happened either and you kept charging my credit card $1, 200 which you refused to return. Then you STILL kept harassing me for payments.. then when I told you to cancel the platinum upgrade, for the third time, your people CANCELED MY ENTIRE WESTGATE MEMBERSHIP including our vacation! So you now owe me $3, 200. Plus the deposit for the resort vacation. My reservation has at least two different confirmations, no one there knows what I have booked, and this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME! EVERY PERSON I GET PASSSED AROUND TO NEVER TAKES OWNERSHIP OF THE CALL AND I HAVE TO REPEAT MY ACCOUNT INFOR MATION OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. IT is now 5PM and I have been on the phone to your employess since 9AM. So now you owe me $30.00 an hour for an entire day. I use to be a travel agent and good grief I have never seen such bad customer service. You finally found my resort reservation, but now I'm worried that when I show up, there won't be one. And I still want my money back, because I told you not to cancel my membership over and over again and your people still did it anyway, because they can't tell the difference between one membership and another. I'm getting so confused, I'm just done with it all. This was supposed to make having a vacation easier and it has been nothing but a huge burden and a problem with me screaming, every time I spend hours on the phone with poorly trained and incompetent employees. and you need to build resorts other than Florida. how about one in North Carolina? if the smoky mountain resort is always full, build one in the NC mountains.. or on our crystal coast? Or how about Georgia?
