yelling at customer
To whom it may concern,
Yesterday (9/3) at the AMC North Point 12 movie theater located at Alpharetta, GA.
I was there with my wife and two sons for Dunkirk 5:30 show.
It was 5:23 when I asked 3 adult tickets and 1 child ticket at the ticket window (window located at far right). He gave me tickets and I turned around. Soon I realized that he only gave me three tickets. I thought he made a mistake and I thought this is not a big deal I only needed one more ticket to enjoy the family movie night. Since there was no other customers on the line and I went directly back to the window to ask if I can get one more ticket. Then he started yell at me "I asked twice how many tickets you need!". I was shocked and horrified at his yelling and attitude.
First of all, I clearly said I need 3 adult tickets and 1 child ticket. I remember I said that twice. so there was no chance to be confused.
Second of all and most importantly, even if there was miscommunication about the number of tickets, all I needed to do is to get one more ticket and all he needed to do is to sell one more ticket . I am still shocked and horrified Why he had to yell at me so loud through ticket window microphone.
Again there was no other customers on the line so there was no hurry kind of situation to stress him.
Third of all, while he was yelling and screaming to me there was no Manager or supervisor to intervene in the situation and no apology given.
Because I didn't want my kids to see more yelling or cussing from him, I hurried to pay one more ticket and entered into the theatre. And in the theatre I was again shocked the 4th seat he gave me was E1 that is not adjacent to other 3 seats. (F1, 2, 3). Certainly there was open seats next by F1, 2, 3.
I demand AMC thorough investigation on this incident. I don't know if he has anger management issue or if he has similar incident history like this especially to the Asian customers who he thinks he might look down or talk down.
Certainly I do not believe this incident stands for the value of AMC, but the correction process AMC will implement can show how much AMC concerns about the frustrated customer.
Please see attached ticket stubs for your information.
Best Regards,
Neung Lee

starplex movie theater in corpus christi
Hi I recently visited starplex movie theater in corpus Christi and after purchasing 40 dollars in tickets and food /snacks after watching half our movie we hear rats running around under our feet we got up and left did not get to watch our movie that was just horrible or attempt to finish all of our snacks that was not a very good experience I really enjoyed going to this movie theater before this happened
customer service
Good evening,
To whom this may concern,
I visited the amc movie theatre in plymouth meeting, PA. While buying snacks for our movie. Customer service was so awful. We received cold popcorn and also they had to keep asking me what I ordered after I gave them my reciept . When I expressed to them where was my popcorn and pretzels with cheese one of the employees asked me do I still want them? I replied yes I paid for it, he laughed and went to make them. I will not come to this movie theatre again . All the money I spent just to be treated ignorantly. Me and my son saw the 6:30 emoji movie.
manager.
There is a manager who is constantly making sexual advancements towards females who just barely turned 18 and or 17. He has asked me if I wanted to go back to his apartment with a fellow coworker late night hours. And also ask for our personal our personal information such as our snapchats and phone numbers. He has also cornered female employees asking them if he makes them uncomfortable and touches their arms and legs. It's uncomfortable to watch and hear him talk about them in a very degrading way. He already has 2 sexual harrassment charges and I see why now. He also purposely takes forever in office to hold conversations with these teenage girls.
employees cussing at customers
I went to see a movie with my boyfriend and when we were leaving we were confronted by an employee and he cussed at me to pick up my own trash which I did and saying it's not his job to clean up after people, but being previously employed by a movie theater I know it is the job of the door people go clean theaters as they let out. This employee should have never used the f word at me.
manager amc 24 arizona center
I purchased dinner from a neighboring restaurant. When we approached the box office to purchase our tickets the employee informed us that the food could not be brought inside. I told him thanks for letting me know but I intended on taking the food back to my car. The evening manager said that it would be no issue to store the food that he would put my name on it and that we could pick up the food after the movie. When the movie ended $24 worth of food had been thrown away by the manager. And the ticket validation machine for parking was not operable so I was forced to pay $12 for parking as well. This has been my worst AMC experience ever.
public affection between amc manager and customer.
I was fixing my drinks and noticed a female manager walk out of what appeared to be the managers office at AMC Cinema 6 in Dothan, AL with a female, non AMC employee and then publicly kissed in a common area. I found this offense and unprofessional. I have also heard complaints from the employees that the same manager does not help at all during shifts and stays in the room with the person she was kissing. I find this wrong towards the employees and publicly offensive for me, children and other AMC customers.
amc ahwatukee 4915 e ray rd phx az 85044
My husband and I went to the AMC Ahwatukee Theatre on Saturday, 5/6 hoping to see Get Out at the 7:30 pm showing. We were there at 7:15 pm. When we went to the kiosk to pay and choose our seats, the only time listed was for 10:00 pm. We questioned if the show was sold out. The customer service representative looked it up and did not know if there was even a 7:30 pm time slot. He then asked another employee. The second customer service representative said there was never a 7:30 pm showing and that I must have looked it up wrong. Walking away, I accessed my phone and up came the AMC Ahwatukee website search indicating the 7:30 pm showing for Get Out. I went back and showed the employee who questioned my ability to do a website search that indeed the actual show times conflicted with the AMC website. He again told me again that I must have looked it up wrong. I then asked a female customer service representative who was nearby just standing there. She said they changed the times to accommodate The Guardian of the Galaxy Vol II movie since it was more popular. (See actual screen shot of AMC Website with Movie times below)
Needless to say, we left AMC and went to another movie theatre. I have been an AMC patron and Ahwatukee resident for over 20 years. I do not appreciate being lied to or belittled by your customer service representatives because you decided to change the venue. At a time when movie theatres are struggling to survive against alternative options, I would think customer service should be a stellar part of the AMC movie going experience. Otherwise, why bother leaving home and paying to see movie at an AMC Theatre?
technical issues
The AMC Theatre in Westminster, Colorado, at The Promenade, is having technical issues with the screens going blank mid-movie. The staff attempts to fix it by skipping ahead, rather than rewinding to the spot it stopped, causing a gap in the movie. Movie-goers left in irritation. AMC's ONLY solution is to offer a movie voucher, so you can return to watch another glitch!
Suggestion: How about fixing all technical issue before paying customers come to watch the movie?!?

unethical/unprofessional behavior
BEWARE!
I've seen on more than 2 occasions that the AMC Theatre at Stonecrest Mall, Lithonia GA uses the same brooms they sweep around the bathroom floors, outside halls and in theatres to clean the POPCORN machine! I've complained but witnessed it again. The managers seem to be okay with this "method". Even with this attempt at a shortcut the place is left in horrible standing with food everywhere ranging from the counters and floors in front and behind the cashiers. The supervisors are rude and have no training in customer service and have the nerve to blame it on the "guests" that they serve.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME ON THIS LOCATION
free beauty and the beast pin
I am a stubs member and I got notified thru the app that if we watched the beauty and the beast on opening weekend in Dolby theatre we would receive a free pin. My daughters are pin collectors so I decided to spend the extra money on tickets to receive the pins. The only show time at my local AMC, santa Anita 16 in Arcadia with available seats was the 11 pm showing. My kids range from 9 months to 14 years old so an 11 pm showing wasn't ideal for a Sunday night but we were willing to sacrifice for the free pins. We purchased 8 tickets on line thru the app and when we finally arrived we were told they were no more pins. At this point I tried not to get upset in front of my kids but I spoke to a manager and was told every showing was practically full but if they were only offering it for the Dolby theatre then they should have know exactly how many they needed. She said that they weren't sent enough pins even though they requested more. I looked on my app, on the website and nowhere it said (while supplies last) which is what I expected to see if they were only sent a certain amount. This is our go to theatre so I would appreciate it if you kept your word and send me my pins.
work schedule
For 3-6-17 I Apologize for not reading my schedule correctly.I was'nt aware I was to close.I was at my other job when someone from the theater called.Listen, as I told Jamarcia, Kitchen-Manager there isn't communication or staff-meetings for co-workers to express their concerns!.I've never seen the lack of this existence with any company, let alone a Multi-million dollar one.
Prior to working for AMC, I was a Dishwasher at two restaurants where they had 2-3 Dishwashers at once.Because of peak times at restaurants. Two would handle the flow of dishes and the third trash-detail, sweeping the line.At closing all three were breaking-down the dish pit rinsing and wiping down sinks the inside of washer, it's trap-door.!.Sweeping, mopping the floors.Shut-off washer set up metal drain rack, cut-off lights and leave together.
Here that only happens with the cooks!.When their done cooking they break-down and clean together their work stations.Once their done they leave.Since I 've been here protocol was only followed once with cecil closing. He had the Cooks pull the trash for me as I finished re-stacking the line sprayed, rinse and wiped down the sinks. And we all left at the same time or at least clocked-out at the same time.
Why can't I have a Back-up closing dishwasher. To help me as I've helped and was scheduled to do for evening shift dishwashers.Who leave the pit to look for stolen phones or small blisters on their hand saying management knew and left 30 minutes before their shift was to end after I helped catch them up!.And say when I ask them if they could finish. So, I can finish trash-detail and sweeping the line!.Or their concerned with if I'm helping them close. No, My shift was over at 6pm.
I'm not perfect but I'm close compared to the other dishwashers. That do Minimal-work with no effort to work through some physical discomforts!.There's a live-camera supposely you know who works and who don't!.Servers still not raking food from trays and continually putting trays on an over stacked-rack.Not bringing trays after show's end playing and bring them at last-minute.That I Can't Leave on time!.But I get written-up asking for help! and pointing-out these issues. This is me having my say on things that probally won't-change.
Sincerely,
Maurice Williams/Dishwasher

As I'm sure all of you reading this realize that after buying popcorn and a drink at theater you need to get a second mortgage. Well while taking two nephews (one who is autistic) and a niece to see Lego batman we were getting things for the movie. My one nephew doesn't drunk sodas so we got him an apple juice...m $4.75 for a bottle of apple juice. Then wanted small drinks for the othwr two...nope have to buy it in a cobo pack...another $7.50 each. Well last time I'm going to be in an AMC theater. I am starting a #boycotamc online. Worst theater company.
amc randhurst 12 - stubs card poor service
Me and my wife went to see a movie at AMC Randhurst 12 on January 28th, 2017. There were two ticket purchasing lines, one for Stubs members and one for non-stubs members. There were two cashiers. We waited patiently in the Stubs line and watched 2 different customers go to one attendant and a third go to the second cashier. We then were ready to go next since 3 separate customers had already been served. At that point, the next available cashier asked for the next non-Stubs member to step forward. This was a total of 4 non-Stubs customers being taken care of while we waited with our "so called" VIP treatment Stubs membership getting us nothing but a longer wait. I complained and the cashier argued with me saying that 2 non Stubs customers get taken care of for each single Stubs customer. Given that two cashiers took care of 4 separate non-Stubs members, before us, it would have been quicker for me to be served as a non Stubs customer. Where's the premiere service? This amounts to false advertising. I have been a loyal Stubs member for over 3 years and expect there to be better oversight of how loyal customers who pay the extra fee for a premier club membership get treated. To add insult to injury I heard the cashier trying to sell a Stubs membership to the person he let cut us in line. Please make sure this location gets the proper training on this matter.
I'm a Dishwasher at your Fork & Screens location in Atlanta, Ga.Tell me why was I asked to re-wash clean coca cola glasses?.Pic included the manager said they werent-Really?.The managers here get on or chastised the Real-workers that work. Not the ones that Don't.
Their friends with those too!.The favoritism for giving hours to them. They and the servers carry-on laugh as they push extra work on me and other prep-cooks.They try abusing our work ethic cause it'll get done & they look good. This post is to vent.Because corporate won't do anything. It's business as usual!.But I Don't have to deal with it No longer!.They rather reward incompetent ppl than competent team-players!.
rude behaviour of two amc theatre staff
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to make a complaint. AMC are theatres of very good repute. It is known for great customer service, but recently, we came across disappointment with two of your employees. This is a complaint about the horrible service treatment that my husband and I experienced at your Puente Hills AMC theatre last Saturday 01/12/17.
My husband and I purchased a tickets to see XXX:The Return of Xander Cage at 3:52pm for 4pm show on 01/21/17. When we walked in to the theatre we were directed to the theatre number and found out we were issued a wrong movie to watch. We were given the “SLEEPLESS” tickets. We went to the Service desk and requested to correct the problem. We were told that since the showing is at Dolby Cinema, we were asked to pay for extra surcharge and so we did. While we were watching the show, an AMC staff approached us asking to see our tickets. I dig in to my purse looking for our tickets; I was having problem finding them because it was too dark inside. We were asked to step out of the theatre. We were outside but I still cannot find my tickets in my purse at the time. Though, I found my receipt that was incorrectly issued to us for “Sleepless”. They told us to go to the Service desk to clear things out. I repeatedly explained to the two AMC staff there that we were issued an incorrect tickets and that we have asked the tickets to be exchanged to XXX show. They said I can’t prove it because I don’t have the tickets. But I was showing them the receipt I paid to begin with and I was looking for the person who exchange the tickets for us but I cannot find him anymore. We didn’t even bother to ask or noticed the name of the person who assisted us at the time because we’re in a hurry to get to the 4pm show.
Anyway, these two AMC staff scheduled at the time does not know how to handle the situation; these two are very rude. We were harassed, humiliated and interrogated in front of many people around. Ultimately, we were asked us to leave the theater and to top that, we were accused of illegally watching two movies without paying (Sleepless and XXX movies). I said, what about the receipts we were trying to present to them, didn’t that says we paid for those? We didn’t get to finish the movie and we did not get refunded for the tickets we purchased.
Furthermore, I have included in this letter some documents which will support the claim that I am making. I found our tickets in my back pants pocket when we got home. I took pictures of them and I have the original tickets and receipts. (Attached) AMC 1: is the wrong receipt issued to us for Sleepless. AMC 2: is the exchange tickets issued to us for XXX:The Return of Xander. I wanted to go back there then to show them that we paid for that XXX movie and that we didn’t see the Sleepless. The other girl was so nasty and bitter and was intentionally being loud trying to humiliate us telling the world that we’re movie hopping. She kept on yelling “how can we be sure that you didn’t see the Sleepless and now we caught you watching XXX”! Uggh…it's still very upsetting just thinking about what had happened that night. Our experience that night at AMC Puente Hills was horrible, miserable and very unpleasant.
It is my suggestion that before their recruitment/employment at AMC, they must be taught how to deal with the customers. Presently they must be instructed and reprimanded suitably to mend their ways and a surprise checking in this respect be made.
ticketing
I went to the amc regency 24 in jacksonville, fl 32225 to see a movie on 8 january 2017, using a set of coke rewards tickets. I was informed by a rather obnoxious ticketing agent that I could not use the rewards ticket to see the movie "rouge one" as it was a premium movie; cash or credit only. The rude attendant then pointed out six other movies on the board which were also "restricted", leaving only the worst-of-the-worst movies to pick from. If I had known amc restricted all of the good movies from discounted tickets (Including groupons, etc) , I would never have have used my points to purchase amc tickets. And yes, I did read the fine print of their disclaimers. Amc is more than glad to get money from people who buy discounted tickets... But then has no intention to let you redeem them for good movies. They have your money and therefore don't care. This is why amc is a dying brand. To put movies on a restricted list, weeks after they debut, is beyond greedy. I am currently contacting coke to see if I can get a refund of my points, since I have not used my tickets... And I have no intention to ever frequent an amc theater ever again.
reserved seating policy
In New York City, the AMC theaters are all reserved seating all the time. But how do you know where you want to sit until you're in the theater?
We went to a mid-afternoon weekday showing, so it wasn't going to get crowded. Why did we have to choose reserved seats? We did, but when we got inside, we weren't as close as we would have liked. And then tall people sat in front of us.
We moved to other seats, but throughout the film, we were constantly worried that somebody would come and say that we were in their seats. It was disturbing. I don't like their "you MUST choose a reserve seat" policy. [It is unnecessary, when it isn't a crowded theater.] AMC solved a problem that -- most of the time -- doesn't exist; and in doing so, they created lots more problems.
The movie-going experience suffers as a result. I will be reluctant to go to movies at AMC theaters in the future
It is very very very irritating and frustrated to have reserved seats only to be disappointed due to the seats being taken once you are ready to be seated so to keep a argument down and avoid a conflict you sit elsewhere only to be tapped and bothered thruout a high priced show to relocate... There should be a first come first serve seat policy point blank period I'm big and pregnant and get very upset and emotional quick... This suck seriously
I think they should only have the seating number diagram on their monitor for seling the tickets, but do NOT put the seat number on the tickets! This creates problems for the VERY effective first come, first serve protocol! It has worked for decades, and will always work. The AMC theatre management need to pull their heads out and realize that!
harassment from manager
A few employees file a complaint with the AMC Theatres HR Department and they told us they are doing the investigation after two months they told us actions will be taken and noting happen after 30 days these employees are still working there the GM told the Managers no one is getting fired the investigation is over, keep in mind employees are getting fired for eating popcorn but for sexual harassment not an issue for AMC Theatres this is happening at AMC Port Chester Theatre.
We are seeing the same thing in Murfreesboro, TN. Multiple instances of sexual harassment. One, a male manager told a team member that he looked sexy in his uniform, and nothing has been done. Another, a female employee is complaining about repeated sexual harassment and advances, and when she reported it to the manager, they said "corporate doesnt mandate us to care about sexual harassment complaints." They also continued to schedule her with her harasser, making her grow continuously uncomfortable until she finally gave her notice. I checked and apparently AMC has a no discrimination policy, but for sexual harassment, they have a hotline. Literally, thats it. And apparently nothing happens. You can just vent - thats as far as it goes.
Chris is one of the managers from Amc YorkTown in Lombard, Illinois. He said the N racist word 5 times and nobody did anything about it. When I reported him the report got to him and he fired me whats up with that?
promotions
I know someone who has recently gotten terminated because while they were bartending they had a secret shopper visit the facility and their ID was not checked which is an automatic termination that's understood but, when you get promotes to a new position you are supposed to be trained properly. My friend has been there for about a year and some time she's a really good worker so they had her doing multiple things. When you become a bartender at AMC you are supposed to be GIVEN A TEST and trained properly SHE WAS NOT TESTED her manager asked her to be a bartender and she didn't want to she wanted to be a cook and when she said that her manager looked disappointed so she felt bad next thing you know the next day her schedule said bartender and they had her behind the bar. I understand she should have checked ID but she was not promoted the correct way so it's kind of messes up that she got fired for something she wasn't properly prepared for which is partially the managers fault also. The manager knows she was supposed to be testes regardless to if he/she felt as though the employee needed it or not.
employment/pricing
Where do I start? I have been working for AMC for years, and, I love it there. I really do. But, I feel as though the staff is underappreciated. Let me tell you why. First of all. We still get paid minimum wage. On a slow day, we deal with a minimum of 2, 000 to 3, 000 people. And, that is a slow day. And these guests yell at us. Call us terrible things. Because of things we can not control. Such as pricing. There was once a staff member who went into a full blown anxiety attack because a guest threatened to report them. Why? Because she was new to the job and said a ticket was $15.09 when it is really $11.49 ( It was the poor girls 1st week and she was not told that there was a difference between 3D and regular showings ). I myself have had hot food thrown at me because it was not to our guest's liking, but, I still show up with a smile on my face, attempting to be "AMCamazing". Secondly, I do not understand some of the dress codes. In this age, why can't we dye our hair or have piercings. or even a tattoo? Most of your employees are teenagers or young adults. And, this is becoming more and more of a popular thing to do. One of our best selling employees quit a few days ago because he wasn't allowed to dye his hair pink ( for a breast cancer awareness run he was going to compete in, his mother had died of the cancer a few years prior ). On to pricing. Now, I know that movie theaters have high prices, but, the one thing that drives me nuts is the $12 for a Stubs card. I have been keeping track, and, over the past three months, 126 guests have turned down a stubs card after hearing the price for it. They wanted one, but, were not willing to pay for it. Even with all the benefits that came with it. I really love my job, but, I am on the verge of leaving. I really do not want to, but, I believe that I would be a lot happier working somewhere else at this point. I'm sorry.
