furniture/rocker-recliner
We bought a whole front room full of furniture just over a year ago. About 3 months ago the arm of one of the rocker recliners broke. We took the chair back as it was our understanding that it had a life time warranty. But in talking with the manager, we were rudely told that I should never have leaned on the arms of the chair to get out of the chair. That it was only CARDBOARD!. And that it was not covered under the warranty.
If we had been told that there was only cardboard in the arms of the chair we would NEVER had bought it. We were told that everything but stuffing and cloth was covered by the warranty. It's not like we abused the chair..we are not obese or rough on the furniture..no kids at home either.
The manager was VERY rude and told us he would do nothing for us.
POOR quality furniture...
LIED to when told about he warranty.
HORRIBLE customer service. The manager was VERY rude.
Want to warn customers NEVER to buy from them!

I went into American Freight December of 2008 and purchased 7, 000.00 worth of furniture and paid cash. When the furniture was delivered an end table was missing all the legs. The box was open and had been obviously a display. I was told that it was impossible to be a display and that the legs would be ordered. (it never was) The mattress and box spring...

Two days ago I returned to this store because I had a good experience. Employees were helpful and courteous during my first visit two months ago even though I was browsing and making price and product comparisons to other stores. I spent several hundred dollars. Bought a queen size matress, box spring, rails and during the same visit I also bought two accessories (lamps). The lamps did not cost very much about $20.00. I also bought two that were already assembled and on display with the assistance from a kind, productive, energetic and respectful salesman. I was very satisfied so I returned to the store again within twenty-four hours to buy one more lamp a little more than an hour before closing. I saw it on display the same as I had before. I politely asked a man who claims to be Kevin James, "Is a salesperson working the floor?" I didn't want to interupts him at the register because he was inputting invoice data into the computer for another customer to print out for customer signature. My thought was he could alert another staff that I needed assistance. Instead he proceeded to tell me that I could not have the lamp on display and that he told the salesman not to ever sell display lamps again. To go in the back and get an unassembled lamp in the box because it was "against corporate policy" for me to purchase and leave the store with this item on display. From a human resource standpoint he did not need to tell me that a salesman I thought provided excellent service was basically counseled and admonished (possibly written up). Here is Mr. James now berating the salesperson to me in a disrespectful tone telling me, "It's not me. It's corporate!" I thought, "Why do I need to know about personnel actions that should be confidential and not shared with customers?" This experience had to do with one customer who had previously left very happy and already got several referral customers ready to buy. In fact when I spent several hundred dollars I had brought a friend who said he was going to bring his wife back to the store. I tried to reason with Mr. James that he might be flexible enough by not telling me in a sarcastic way that if they allowed display items to be purchased they would have to do extra work. He said to me, "It only takes 5 minutes to put together!" Instead of being a professional and diffusing the situation he made me feel like he was trying to insult my intelligence in front of other staff and customers too. I guess he figured my several hundred dollars did not count and maybe he was not going to waste his time to do an invoice one hour before closing for a twenty-dollar lamp to an over 50 year old man. The store had less than a hand full of customers on the floor. It would have been simply and easy for him to let me purchase the lamp and be on my way. I suggested to him that he assign staff to put lamps together in the morning and he proceeded to tell me they don't have time..."Do you know how many things we have to do already?" I asked for owner information and his name. Before he gave me his information he said in I guess what he thought was "the buck stops here" attitude" by saying to me, "I'm the manager!" I said, "I am Director of Security where I work so what does that have to do with anything concerning my request?" I am now searching for the same lamp elsewhere even though I live within close proximity of this store. I regret allowing this manager (?) to elevate my blood pressure. I left disgusted due to his disrespectful arogant tone. There was no excuse for him to treat me the way he did. Interestingly as we were talking a worker (moving helper) stood by as if I am suppose to get intimidated or simply be an observer. I am cool with that. Mr. James need not attribute this to the end of a long day. Now reader, you go figure. I am obvisously disappointed in the treatment towards me and the violation of my need to know as a customer what consequences happened to the original saleman who is simply trying to make a living and satisfy customers. I am certain Mr. James knows who I am if this comes to his attention.

sales man maurice hill pocketed my money
I went into the store on 1.15.2010, I knew what I wanted I had already searched online, sales man maurice hill seemed to be a nice guy, a good salesman not to pushy! Long story short, I picked out my furniture, a bedroom set to be delivered the following day, I picked out a living room set and a dinette set that I put on lay a way for 30 days (Need to sell furniture I have). I paid for every thing online all but 200.00 which I paid in cash.
Long story short at the end of the sell I felt the salesman began to rush me out of the store. Later that night I looked at my receipts only to find that the 200.00 was not reflected on the receipt, it was a bunch of bogus info on my receipt. I called on 1.16.2010 maurice hill gave me some bs excuse, at that time I knew he was running some kind of a scam.
I went into the store on 1.16.2010 and requested a return, I waited 45 minutes or more on that idiot crook to return my money and debit transaction. He said the 200.00 would come in the mail in 7 to 10 days from corporate, I told him to show me that on the receipt of course he could not b/c he pocketed my money! He just continued to lie, I stepped out of the store went and called another location in norcross spoke with district manager shannon whom pulled the receipt for a good 30 minutes went back and fourth about the transaction.
Shannon said that I got a discount and no monies (Cash was on that receipt, basically she did not believe me b/c maurice hill had rigged the receipt and stole my 200.00. I told shannon I would prove it, I kept her on the phone while I went into the store and had a discussion with maurice about my 200.00 dollars! Then I let him and his crooked # staff have it! Also maurice hill double charged my debit card when I went to do the return!
I called the store on 1.17.2010 and the thief maurice was still employed! I am off work today to call the bbb and make a police report, this guy is a menace and a thief who should not be allowed to still peoples hard earned money!

will not honor warranty
We purchased a King Koil Mattress Feb. 17, 2009 from American Freight. At the time of purchase the salesman, Chris Botero assured us of a 20 yr warranty. That was 8 months ago. The mattress we purchased has collapsed on one side. When I reported it to them they informed me the warranty was void because we did not purchase the foundation with it. That was not mentioned when the purchase was being made. I read the warranty and it also said nothing about it being void, it recommended buying the foundation. The foundation our mattress is resting on is in perfect condition and is offered up for inspection.
I also called King Koil in Miami where the mattress was manufactured, they informed me that they do not warranty seconds. Of course we were unaware of the fact that we had purchased a defective mattress. Our receipt does not read "As Is" or any such warning. I
I feel the word should be known about Customer UNservice from American Freight.
Thank You,

Louise,
After reading this complaint I reviewed the notes we have stored under your account...
On 10/05/2009 your husband called the store and talked to the manager about your mattress. As the manager was explaining the terms and conditions of the warranty your husband was being very rude and even threatened to come into the store to fight him. Little did your husband know, Daniel (the store manager) would have been more than happy to exchange the mattress although it was not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Your husband did not give him a chance to talk and hung up on him before he could remedy the situation.
On 10/26/2009 (three weeks later) you called the store and immediately began to harass the manager. You didn't even give the manager a chance to look up your account before you started talking about a "SECOND HAND KING KOIL" mattress you had purchased from us. Obviously the manager was confused because we do not carry any second hand mattresses, nor do we carry and KING KOIL mattresses. He thought you had us mixed up with another store. You also hung up on him before he had a chance to address the problem.
After a few minutes you called back and began talking about an attorney you hired to take the case to court and how you called KING KOIL (wrong company) about the mattress. It is a common practice for a manager of any company to not be allowed to talk to a customer once the situation escalates into a legal matter. However, despite all of the insults and ignorant remarks Daniel was still trying to help you. He told you to bring the mattress into the store so we could exchange it for another one. It is now eight months later and you still have not came in to exchange the mattress. Instead you decided to post a complaint about us on the internet.
Furthermore, in my defense, there is a big yellow sign above the mattress that says there is a 10 year full replacement warranty (not 20 years) on the mattress set. I did not realize that you were concerned about the manufacturer's warranty so I did not go into detail about the terms and conditions. That was my mistake and I sincerely apologize. American Freight stresses the importance of the customer on a day to day basis. They tell us to do whatever it takes to make sure the customer is satisfied. The company is comprised of a very hard working and honest staff that strives to protect the integrity behind our name. Please put yourself in our shoes and reconsider your remarks.
Sincerely,
Chris Botero
Apologies to KIng Koil it was Park Place Corp. who manufactured the mattress. Also discovered it was not a second, just a bad mattress.
confused: not a ripoff company
After I purchase pricey items for myself, I always try to look up the company that I chose to go with and see how others liked or disliked there experience with company. My daughter just got excepted into fsu and we needed to furnish her entire house. We shopped around and came across a new jacksonville furniture store named american freight. The salespeople were very inviting and helpful upon entering. As I told them we were just looking they left us alone for a couple of minutes to look around after explaining how the company worked and options for purchase. After a couple of minutes the salesperson came back to help us with any of the questions we had. He was very helpful and understood that we had not decided on what or when we needed any furniture. He then called another product rep over that pretty much explained the same thing but asked where my daughter was going to school. I told him fsu and he then explained that there was a store in tallahassee and he used to work there and we had the option to get it delivered out of that warehouse, so we didn't have to move it ourself or just pick it up there in town. He explained one of the benefits for us is that if for any reason anything were wrong with any of the furniture upon delivery or pick up we would be able to get it fixed there in tallahassee instead of having issue with having to bring it back to jacksonville. I was nervous at first because we didn't need furniture for two weeks and didn't understand how differant stores worked. If they had same items, ect. He assured me that the furniture would be available fir pick up or delivery. Although I was nervous, I decided to make the purchase and give it a chance. The manager also gave me the manager in tallahassee name and number and told me to feel free to contact either manager if I had any questions or if dates changed. I called tallahassee manager ahead of time to make sure items were available as promised and he again assured me everything would be fine. We decided to pick up the furniture instead of getting it delivered and we had no issues with any of our items. We went on a saturday, that I would amagine has to be busy for them judging by the amount of people that was in the store. We did wait for around 30 minutes to get loaded up but we understood due to the amount of people getting their furniture. The manager was very apologetic for the wait.It made my daughters first furniture purchase enjoyable and I would suggest buying furniture from either of these locations. I actually called to thank the jacksonville manager also for helping us because I was nervous about this company that was new to the area. I only have great things to say about my purchase. I noticed a lot of complaints were from other areas of the us, but again I had none of these issues with my purchase.

This was obviously written by the manager at the Jacksonville store to try to save face on the horrible customer service.
I had bought a sofa and love seat from this store. When it was delivered it was totally the wrong color. It was supposed to be chocolate brown and it was grey. I told the delivery men this and they said no it was what I ordered showing me the delivery slip. I told them it was supposed to be brown not grey. They basically told me I was S.O.L., at which point I told them to take it back and they said no they were not permitted to take anything back and turned away and left. I tried calling the store all weekend and nobody ever answered the phone. I finally drove down to the store and the Salesmen I bought it from said they must have had it tagged wrong and said he would take care of it, they were out of stock on the brown and would deliver it when it came in. Three weeks went by and no word on the correct set, again I tried calling and no one ever answered the phone! So again I drove down there, and found out the salesmen I dealt with no longer worked there and they knew nothing about my problem and basically called me a lier who was trying to return used furniture and there was nothing they could do. At that point I just gave-up, which they probably figure must people will do. At that point my time invested in this was not worth it. I was suckered in like so many other people and ended up over paying for something that I found out later that I could have bought at the Ashley store for the same price and with better quality. I have had many friends who have had similar experiences and not one person I know has had one positive thing to say about them. Please Beware...
no delivery
I paid in full for a sofa and loveseat at American Freight in February 2009. I was advised that the set would be stored for me until I needed it. When I went to pick up the sofa set in July I was advised it was not there. I called many times expressing my frustration and asked for a refund but was never told why I could not get one. Each time I called I was told that someone would look in to it and try to get my couches sooner than the month they said it would take to get them.
The gentleman that, I assume, is the store manager, actually used two different names when I called so that I would think I was talking to someone different when I called. He used the name Thad when I called and asked for the manager, and when he called me for any reason he would use the name Elvis. That is extremely unprofessional.
It wasn't until about 3 weeks after this all occurred (and after reading pages and pages of complaints on the Internet), that I went in to the store and demanded a refund since I had not received my sofas that I had paid for in February. I actually had to make a scene and get other customers' attention before they would even begin to discuss providing a refund to me. But, they finally did, and since I paid with a check they issued a refund that would come in 4-6 weeks.
When Thad Elvis called me to advise me that the check was in, I went to the store to pick it up. In line in front of me was another customer that had printed out the stack of complaints he found on the internet and was having the same issue that I had with them.
So, I have received my refund, but I am very upset that a company that frequently misleads customers can stay in business in our area. I hate the fact that there are so many people getting taken advantage of by American Freight.

Don't ever buy anything from american freight! After several attempts to exchange a defective mattress just to get the "run around" from this company in lexington, ky, we took it back and asked for a refund or we would dispute the transaction on our credit card. I went in to buy a bedroom set. I had seen the commericals and decided to give it a try. This was my first time buying furniture. This was a huge mistake. They said they wouldn't get the furniture in until the next week, it took a while but we did get the furniture. However, they did not have the right dresser and were suppose to bring it back. Never happened, I wasn't happy with the furniture I received, there were knicks and scraps. When I called and said I wanted my money back they said they do not refund and gave me some stupid "zero to hero" policy about waiting 30 days for new furniture. After I decided to keep it they came back only to pick the furniture back up! Two weeks later and I still haven't received the dresser, they even went as far as to tell my mother they had one in stock and were going to look it over before they sent it. So, they finally send one and its their FLOOR MODEL! It's a piece of crap, dented and knicked, and didn't even send the hardware to attach the mirror with it. The delivery people then said to wait 30 days until they could bring a new dresser and take back the floor model. I am so upset with the company and quality that I have received, I knew I wasn't getting perfect furniture but I expected something more then this. Now, I have to try to figure out how to get my money back, I can't seem to find a number to corporate and the sales people and managers at the store are worthless. I will NEVER recommend this store to ANYONE, it really is a shame that they are okay with taking money from someone and not delivering a quality product.

Bought a queen sized mattress from them that they said would take 5 to 7 days to get, the called me up 2 weeks later and said it was in and i could pick it up. got rid of my old mattress and box spring that day before picking the new one up and was told that they didn't have the queen after all, that "inventory, " said they had the queen but no one checked to make sure. Customer service is nothing, its like dealing with a man selling watches or DVD's behind an abandon building with how they do business. They gave me a partial refund and i had to take a full size instead, still haven't seen that refund come through on my card yet though... bottom line, this is one of those times you get what you pay for... got a better deal and better furniture by going to the Local Salvation army, and it was even cheaper, and had better customer service than the two idiots that were running AMERICAN FREIGHT!
fraudulent company
First let me say just because a person doesn't experience something personally doesn't mean that it can't happen. When I first walked in the store I was able to browse, and pick out what I wanted before I went to the counter for assistance. Giving credit where credit is due the salesman (Jesse Cols., Oh E. Main St. store) did say that my furniture wouldn't be in until the next week. I paid about seven hundred dollars for my bedroom suite, and upon agreement walked out empty handed.
The next week came, the next week went. In the middle of the second I hadn't heard anything from the store, and called about my merchandise or if I needed to request my money back. Jesse said some but not all of the set had come in he could arrange delivery for what he had (the dresser, chest, and nightstand) to be delivered that day. I said okay but when my other stuff comes in will you guys deliver again without me paying twice. Shocked at hearing him tell me that I had to pick the remainder of my things up or pay another delivery fee when/if it comes in irritated me.
When the delivery guy called my cell phone I didn't understand him, and asked who the caller was. The driver then in a nasty, rude manner yells back at me that I didn't need to know who it was all I needed to know was whether or not I was expecting a delivery or not. He argued on the phone with me for about thirty minutes or more before I hung up, and contacted the store. He was then instructed to call back, and apologize to save the sale.
Long story short I paid for my furniture Feb. 23, 2009 today is Mar. 24, 2009, and I still don't have all of my furniture. I've been contacting the corporate office, and they exist for the sake of the company being able to say they actually have a corporate office. It's income tax season, and no one is perfect so Susan from corporate says in an angelic voice.
So know that seven hundred dollars will cost me double in attorney fees. Time used for court, Channel 6 news, Better Business Bureau, and my local Attorney Generals Office. But in the end good always comes out on top, so I'm sure I'll get my money back for my furniture, and the stress that came with this entire transaction. If you had a great experience with them kudos to you but I will never recommend this store to anyone that I care about or know.

I just had a terrible experience with this furniture company (American freight). Not only did they not deliver my couch after thirty days after setting two delivery dates, they refuse to refund my money saying I have to wait for a corporate check when I paid in cash. The last time time I checked you pay the consumer in the form of payment that they paid you! The store associates were extremely rude and not apologetic at all for my inconvenience and expected me to allow them to deliver my couch today. Are you serious?!?! All the while the "manager's" response was "o he's having a bad day". I am in disbelief and livid with the scams and lack of service with this company. Not only have I submitted a complaint but there are numerous complaints for the same thing!

rude cashier
My husband, son and I went to american freight to get a box spring for our bed, the salesman that helped us was really great and sold us one cheap, so we were pretty happy, that is until we went to the register to pay for it, there was nobody in line so we went right up to the register, the cashier asked what we were paying for, she screamed to the back to ask what to ring up, as he was telling her someone came in to pay for something, she just ignored me and took the other lady, we set there for 15 minutes waiting to be cashed out, finally another gentleman came up and cashed us out but the whole thing was that since we were only spending 70.00 and the other customer was spending 1000.00 I guess we didnt matter, I will never go back there again, and I have shopped there in the past alot, we also bought a so called leather couch there before and within 2 months the arms on it were tearing, they may be alot cheaper but the furniture there, in my opinion isnt worth it at all, I would rather pay more and the furniture last a long time than pay less and have to replace shortly after!

Scam artists
In just one week of employment with American Freight Furniture, (AFF), I saw furniture removed from the warehouse floor and wrapped and delivered to the customer, who had been promised furniture 'brand new in the wrapper'. I was also directed to overcharge a customer a price other than the one quoted; told by my manager that the customer 'would never notice'. Well, he did notice because I wordlessly pointed to the 10.00 overcharge on his receipt, and made eye contact with him as I pointed to the total so he would catch it. The manager apologized to the customer for the 'mistake' and refunded his money.
Both managers at the Lexington store swear and curse at employees. One of them habitually slams clipboards and throws fits like a three year old, as well as smokes in the warehouse. In fact, he asked me if I was a 'big mouth' because he didn't want me to report him for smoking. As a brand new employee, I made some computer errors, which is to be expected. Nothing I did was hard to fix; very minor stuff and the sales were not affected. He referred to my mistakes as 'f*ck ups', and over the course of the week three different customers, one male and two females asked my why I allowed myself to be spoken to that way, and also said it was grossly unprofessional behavior and customers let alone employees should never have to hear it.
After day four when I had a fairly clear assessment of the dishonesty, lack of professionalism and complete lack of management ability on the part of both co-managers, I began to take some notes. I have the phone number of a customer who was shipped used merchandise when he paid for new. I am going to contact the State's Attorney Office, as well as the EEOC. AFF has ensured that it is difficult to find contact information for the corporate HQ, but I am sure the SA's office will have no difficulty. The BBB has multiple complaints and mine will be one more. It was sickening to listen to one of the managers go on about his planned sexual escapades. It was hard to believe any woman would even be interested in the wrinkled little mousy guy, but that is beside the point.
Please please please do not buy furniture from this company. The doors to all their stores should be closed permanently. I don't believe there is a way to prove that their furniture is overstocks, or 'unclaimed freight'. I was told much of it is made expressly for AFF.
Caveat emptor, people!
in referance to lisa bowman. I do not remember things going this way. I apoligize that you feel this way Mrs. Bowman and when we replaced your set the same day that you brought it back did you not shake my hand and thank me as we were talking to my corperate office together on the telephone? It seems that it is unfair that you can post false things here and there has been no response back to you! we love every one of our customers at american freight and per your manufactures warranty your merchandis was replaced. I will not comment on your attitude or anything personal . I will just say that I still love you because you are my customer and I hope your second set that was replaced for you by your manufacterer makes you happier than the first.
I purchased a sofa, loveseat, and recliner, along with extended warranty plans, from the American Freight in Lexington, Kentucky. Four months after the date of pick up, the frames of both the loveseat and sofa broke. I called the furniture manufacturer and they told me it was warrantied and to simply call American Freight and return the damaged units for replacement. The store 'manager, ' Angie, gave me an attitude from the get go. I fought to move the furniture out of the house and haul it the 40+ miles from my home to the store location. Upon arrival, Angie said the frame warranty would be void due to scuff marks (unseen to me) on the leather. That was the first mention to me that any scufs would void anything. If there were any marks, they would have been from the removal and hauling. She also said there was a spill, which was a spot smaller than a thumbtack, which I cleaned away with my fingertip as she watched. I asked for warranty paperwork, which I had not received upon purchase, to no avail. The manager was rude, condescending, and certanly not concerned with satisfying me as a customer so I called their coorporate office but they would not return my call. I reported them to the BBB and left the $1200 worth of junk they had sold sitting in the loading dock door. Hind sight is 20/20...I wish I had researched this company more prior to my purchase :(
Well, THANK THE LORD for this thread, folks! We are residents of Knoxville, TN and have visited their location here once, about 3 months ago. We (THANKFULLY) did not purchase anything at that time. I recently saw a tv commercial about a shipment of mattress and boxspring sets and called to inquire about pricing. While on the phone, I decided to google them to see if they had a website. I was able to see the pieces on that site, and the prices. After a little research, and the help of you fine folks, I can now make an educated decision to stay away form American Freight Furniture! Thanks again to everyone who submitted to this thread... and I'm sorry you had such an a bad experience :(
Hi, well i see that i'm not the only one who got tricked by american freight. Here's my story from their store in riverdale, ga. I went there to purchase a soda and loveseat on February 28, 2011. I didnt see anything that day, but their told they just got some new furniture in and they were unloading the truck, come back the next day, I did. I found something that i wanted on the show room floor, but they didn't have it in stock, maybe in two weeks they said, so i paid with my visa card, i called 2 wks later -nothing, 2 more weeks nothing, one sales person said he called another store but no one had it yet. So i waited another week called again, explained my situation to the manager again he put me on hold for about 10 minutes came back on the phone and said they just got it in. I said ok i'll be in tomorrow. On April 9th picked up my soda and loveseat. I get home unwrapped it and realized that this was the showroom display (the legs looked worn, a nick was on the side and a spot was on the cushion. Of course i called and the manager kept his story about it came from another store and will give me $20. 00 back on my card for the spot on the cushion. I do not know who to contact this to because i live a long way from the store and i cant afford to bring the sofas back. But something could be done, they can't keep doing this to people. My name is Lisa @ [protected].

i can not believe a place that has so many customers would do this and
then when i look over her receipt there know price for the mattress sets
or the end table sets i am just in disbelief of this type of buisness
I purchased several items including a bedroom grouping and a living room grouping for my elderly brother in law so we could relocate him to Indiana from Michigan. He is developmentally slow so I take care of a lot of things for him as does my husband. As this SHAM of a company offered same day delivery, I went there mostly for that reason. They FAILED to show up that same day. Gave me all sorts of Bull***t excuses and so I said, look, it's getting dark, I've waited for hours, let's just do this tomorrow. The person I spoke with apologized and assured me we would be one of the FIRST deliveries the next day just after 12noon. Wow, guess what? I called at 3pm and was told they were leaving soon. Then they put me on hold and supposedly the "driver" came on the phone and told me he was just leaving and would see me around 4pm. Guess what?! I called the store again at 4:40pm. I was told they were on their way and should be there soon. I called again at 4:55pm because they close at 5pm. Guess what! They told me the merchandise was just loaded and they would be leaving soon. I said, well, you have until 6pm to get here otherwise, I am going home. I waited, and got a call at 5:45pm from the driver who said he was on his way. I said really? Where are you. He said on his way. I that's not what I asked you. Where are you? What road? After a long pause, he said, well we are getting ready to leave. I said, well, hope you can be here in 15 minutes because after that, there will not be anyone here. It is at least a 40 minute drive in good weather from their "store" to the empty rental house we were hoping to move my brother in law into. I called at 6pm and told them, it was 6pm, and I was leaving. The sales person called back and left a voicemail message asking me to please be there. Yada Yada. Same BS from the day before. She called 5 times in 20 minutes and the messages got threatening. She said the drivers were at the house, and they were leaving the furniture on the porch. It wouldn't fit on the porch anyway, and that they were taking pictures to prove I got the merchandise. There is 3 ft of snow in the yard and it was sleeting. I have no idea yet if they left anything or not, but I'd say that dumping the stuff in the yard or on the porch, unprotected from the weather would probably not prove I got possession. They also said that they were recording the phone call, and it would be kept. LOL! I guess they can record their one way conversation with my voice mail box. Not sure what it proves though. My phone finally went dead so I can't wait to hear all the other nasty, threatening messages. Bottom line: DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY FROM THESE LIARS AND SCAM ARTISTS.
On January 15th we bought a bedroom set as well as mattress set and mattress cover. We received everything except for the mattress cover and was promised it would be shipped to us the following week since they were out of stock. Today is February 4th and still no mattress cover. Called last Saturday and was told by Joe they just received them and it would be shipped to me on Monday morning. Called back on Thursday and talked with Stan and was told it was shipped but he would check with Joe and give me a call back. My husband called back and talked with Stan and was told it was shipped today but couldn't explain why he hadn't call us back. I doubt we will ever see this cover. Would not buy or recomment this store to anyone else.
Well I will never do business with them again. After spending a considerable amount of money on a bedroom suite for my little princess the leg on the dresser was broken( they delivered it to my house). When I called twenty minutes after they delivered it, I was told it was my problem. I of course went to the store located in Lexington, Ky. Only to be yelled at by a fat white -haired man whom threatened me with physical violence. Did I mention I was obviously pregnant at the time? I disputed the charge on my credit card, hired a friend and his buddy to return the dresser to their store dock after hours. My credit card company knowing my history did not hesitate to give me my money back. Never do business with these people. They are uneducated, loud, disgusting apes. I also believe they employ known pedifiles. Too creepy!
Well I have bought some furniture from the Chattanooga store on 2 different occasions and this last one will probably be my last. The first time was about 8 months ago with my fiancee and we bought a sectional couch and another matching couch. We paid the 80 dollar fee for delivery and everything showed up a few hours later and the guys sets everything up. The delivery guys even moved the our old couch that was in the living room in to the bedroom for us. They over heard the fiancee saying she wanted it in bedroom and they told us to lead the way.
So here it is 8 months down the road, I'm deployed overseas and I'm talking to my lady on phone. She says she wants a new kitchen table. I don't blame her, the one we have was given to me by my Aunt when we bought the house and it looks like something out of the early 80s. So I send her to American Freight to pick something out. She ends up buying this large granite top kitchen table that she swear can sit about 8 people. (I have a lot friends that come over to watch college football.) She said the same guy that helped us last time, helped her this time as well. He actually remember her, and they probably chatted for 45 minutes about, how much our little has grown, me being deployed, her job and her last semester of medical school. He told it would be the same deal as last time, they could deliver the table to day and have it set up for her or later on in the week. So she set up it to have the table and chairs delivered on Friday afternoon because she got moved to nights for work. Delivery guys show up on Friday around time that was agreed upon. They come in and ask her where she wants the table to be set up at. Show them the dinning room, and they said they had everything set up in a few minutes. So she said she feeding little one, and see them bring in boxes for the tables and one of the movers said he be right back her had to get something out of truck. She said by time she turned around she looked at the front door which was standing wide open, to see the delivery truck pulling off. So there she stands in the front door with the little one in her arms as delivery guys drive off, looking back up at the house.
She said she tried calling the store but they were already closed and she was running late to work. So the next this morning she called and told who ever answer the phone what happen and that she would like to speak to a manger. She was put on hold for 35 minutes while they went to retrieve the manger who was supposedly somewhere in the back. Finally a person, who she thinks was the same person trying change their voices picks up the phone tell her the mangers already left for the weekend, she should call back on Monday.
First off what kind of manger shows up just for the store to open and leaves 5 minutes after the doors are unlocked? Not to mention the fact the delivery guys just walking out on mother and her child, leaving the front door wide [censor] open! I think I'm more pissed off about that then the table not being put together! Either way I don't see this turning out to well, after checking all these websites people have listed and reading the complaints. I'm also pretty sure when I get back state side next month and I see this kitchen table sitting in the boxes, I'm not going to be a happy returning soldier when I walk into that stores front doors.
MY NAME IS ANTHONY DYE .I USE TO WORK FOR THE CHATTANOOGA STORE FOR 2 YEARS .THEY HAVE TREATED ME LIKE [censor] MY BOSS IS A [censor] HOLE .I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THERE IS TO DO .GO OVER HIS HEAD HE SAID HE WOULD FIRE ME HE TREATED PEOPLE LIKE THEY WAS NOTHING BUT WHEN U KISS ALOT OF BUUUT...AND JO FROST WHY DONT U DO YOUR JOB.I GUESS WHEN U MAKE 100.000 A YEAR THATS ALL THAT MATTERS
