I had a very horrible experience in your furniture store with you assistant manager at your Georgia location at 6796 Jimmy carter Blvd in Norcross GA. I originally came there to speak with Christopher who is an inventory specialist at the store he told me that I could come to the store between 12-5 and he would fix my order when I got there around 3:00 he was not there so Jeremey the assistant manager ended up having to help me. He became very frustrated and irritated with me because I asked about a 3 piece coffee and end table set and wanted to cancel that and get a different item. He then told me that he has other customers to help and he could not stand there with me and help. I allowed him to help another customer until I decided that I wanted to cancel my order due to his rudeness his neglect and lack of professionalism. He got so angry with me that he began yelling at me even got to the point where he called me out my name several time called me b[censor]es, hoes and even a peasant. He disclosed my income information telling me that I was broke and that he made a lot of money even went out of his way to pull up his check stub on one of the computers to show it to me and while others were in the store disclosed my income as well as how much I was approved for through the finance company. He then called the police on me as well as a girl to come and fight me telling me that he couldn't touch me but he knows someone who can. He then proceeded to call the girl and his words were can you come up here I can't touch this b[censor] but you can threatening me even told me to stay because someone was coming to whoop my [censor]. The girl came up there before the police got there and walked into the store and stood next to me as they sat and talked about me and even threatened to beat my [censor]. This is the worse experience I've ever had in a store where I am spending my money. I am at 23 year old college student with a husband who has cancer and trying to make a living as well as a comfortable home to take care of my family in and I did not deserve that. He screamed from the back of the store to the front where I was standing while handing other customers and even told the other workers not to help me. Not only are my feelings hurt I was mistreated very poorly and it's not appreciated. My parents know a lot of higher up people and I will make it my mission to get my story out and I'm sure no one will think that a grown man who is suppose to be a manager should handle a young lady like me in that manager and to degrade me and my life with all that I am going through. I want the number to the corporate I want to speak to the owner or president of this company. I am suppose to be moving on April 14, 2018 and now have no furniture. My husband is very sick and this is stuff that I should not have to deal with when I am spending my hard earned money. I will not just let this go away. I need contact information to someone who can solve this matter and I want that unprofessional man removed. terrible customer service and your contract is contradictory
I was told I could not get my money back after I was not alerted that the furniture that I was paying for had been discontinued.Is this how you guys run business? I cannot get my money back after I've paid off something that will never be back in stock. The Wheatland RD location in Dallas, TX are rude and ignored me when I came to complain. They told me that I was late on my payments so I could not get my money back. Mind you I paid off my 24 month contract in 8 months. I will never do business with you guys again.

After I wrote the second email I received a call from a female employee at the Parma location, she (I dont know her name) told me that the new ottoman was available to exchange, no problem, ok fine. I told her that my fiance and I are very busy and that it may be a couple days before we can come up (she called on a Monday my fiance went up there 2 days later on a wed). She told me it was fine, they had multiple pieces in the back and it would be there. My fiance went there with the old one on 3-7-18, the "manager" ivan (I think that's his name) got really nasty with my fiance and told him that it is our fault we didnt say anything when it was being dropped off and that it is not their responsibility to make sure the delivery people grab the right furniture lol, ok. Not sure why it's ok to blame the customer for their ignorance but ok. He kept telling my fiance to shut up and asked him if he was going to listen. This person who claims to be the manager wasn't listening himself, all he was trying to do was berate myself and my fiance because, ya know, we work there and are responsible for making sure the $200 ottoman we purchased was brand new (sarcasm). An associate named ozzy then stepped in and he ordered this piece for us at this point I was speaking with ozzy on the phone (I had been on the phone the entire time and heard everything) ozzy apologizes to us and offered us two lamps as well and said our ottoman should be in within a week. Ok fine. Another person called my fiance on 3-10-18 around 10am and stated our ottoman was there and we could come and get it. Both of us were working and we could not make it up. My fiance called again a few days later to make sure it was still there and to see if we could pick it up Saturday 3-17-18 they said yes and that we could. Today 3-17-18 my fiance calls before he leaves to make the exchange and the person who answered the phone stated it is there and had just come in on 3-16-18, weird right? We did receive a call almost as week prior stating it was there. As my fiance is getting ready to leave the same person calls him back and says it isn't there, it has to be ordered again. This is becoming ridiculous. I'm almost at a point where I need to speak with someone as high up as possible. I have purchased furniture from here in the past and never had such a hard time as I do right now. We will never be shopping there again, the problem still isn't resolved, and I want to be contacted by someone other then the supposed store manager who conducts himself so unprofessionally that he should be fired. I have been nice about this for the last month, I have given time for people to respond to my emails and calls and now I'm annoyed.
delivery and customer service
I order the full house set plus a twin bunk bed and mattresses. I first recived the dresser, bed frame, twin bunk bed, dinner room set and that was all. I was told it would be a week to recieve the rest of the stuff(2 twin matress and box spring, queen matress and box spring, couch, love seat, coffee table, end tables.) I was told it would be here Friday 3/9. They never showed up or called. Supposed to then come Saturday the 3/10 never showed up and told me the truck was over heating and they coukd come sunday. They guy named Hershel told me they only had 4 deleveries that day on 3/11. Never showed up. He it is monday and i was promised by the store manager my stuff would be delevered today 3/12 and it is still not here. They store phone is ringing busy for the past 2hrs cause they dontvwant to answer. This is getting ridiculous.

so they debit it back to my card it's been 3 days &my money hasn't post back to my account yet. When I called the store &the corporate office they were so dang ruled. I've been told lies behind lies . I want my money even of I have to call my lawyer.
I was told to call corporate so I did, I was told from corporate I didn't have any business with their number the store shouldn't have given it to me the guy was very ruled and stated the store needed to call them not the customer .So I called the Barlett store back & spoke with Christopher he claim he would investigate &call me back I haven't heard anything from anyone at American freight

I purchased the Lila bed set October 27, 2017 I advised American Freight I would need it by December 8 and I will come pick it up. The day of move in I received a call from Vincent in the Newport News store he was awesome but he also called me to advise me the day of that my bed set did not come in yet and stated that I could choose another one but I didn't like any other ones but the Windsor set but the Windsor set was more expensive they allowed to get the Windsor set for the same price of the Lila but they didn't allow me to get the nightstand which originally I would have to purchase at additional cost which I felt was bs . The same day they advised me they would have the furniture in later that day I receive a call that they weren't able to get it in that day but the following day . I received another call back stating that they wouldn't be able to do it Saturday but I would have to wait until Sunday . And still have to pay a delivery fee being that they are a third party. Vincent did all that he could do but I am very dissatisfied being that this isn't professional . I received a call from Vincent again today he made me aware that they would be delivery my furniture Sunday I told him I don't eant them delivering anything to me, being that I had to go through so much I will get a u haul and do it myself . As far a Vincent very helpful and I understand somethings are beyond his control . But I won't be purchasing any more furniture from here .. and my stuff was suppose to be here.

Paid my account in full on Oct 30, was scheduled to have my Sienna sofa loveseat and bedroom set delivered today, called to confirm at 5pm they told me we thought it was due 25th my move in date to my new apartment was always Nov 15th. Then they told me they didn't have bedroom in stock and offered to deliver just the sofa and loveseat today.. Its 10:19 pm CST still no delivery

We purchased a recliner, loveseat and couch from a little over a year ago. We started having issue with the recliner within a few months. Pops and cracks when sitting in it or rocking and back will not stay leaned back anymore. Supposed to have 5 yr warranty on everything except for the material if it was damaged by an animal. I was told there was no warranty when I called. They also gave us some leather protector to put on every so often to keep it protected. What they gave us only made it look horrible after following the directions to the letter. Since we purchased the furniture, we have all had mysterious bites that we chalked up to mosquitos or fleas as we do have pets. I would vacuum and spray around perimeter of the house and rooms in hopes of putting it to an end. The last couple of months the bites were more frequent until the last few of nights. My husband was broke out in what looked to be bites and a rash and my granddaughter had bites all over her. Still not thinking much of it, I have been treating my house AGAIN for what I thought were mysterious hidden fleas. My husband was getting worse everyday. Last night, I was lying on the couch watching TV and felt something crawl across my arm. I looked down and saw a little brown bug. Then I saw several more crawling on my blanket. I jumped up and starting looking at them and realized they were BED BUGS! I spent all night cleaning, vacuuming and searching my home to see if I saw them anywhere else as well as researching on what to do. NOPE! ONLY IN THE FURNITURE I BOUGHT FROM AMERICAN FREIGHT IN EVANSVILLE, IN! Not ever having dealt with them before, I didn't realize that vacuuming keeps them under control. The fact I hadn't thoroughly vacuum as I would have for a while, all 3 were infested. I couldn't fathom where in the world they came from and why on earth it would be contained to just the 3 items. That's when I found all the online complaints of customers buying furniture from American Freight and ended up having bed bugs. I am still in the process of cleaning, spraying, steaming and searching my house and will probably end up being out money to get new furniture because there is little chance to get it under control. Thankfully we have vinyl flooring in the room, very little touches the floor and it's away from the wall, so it may be contained. However, it is crazy to me that a furniture store will continue to sell their items knowing darn good and well there have been numerous complaints about bed bugs without treating their warehouse and notifying customers that had purchased furniture from them within the time frames there were complaints. I have purchased from American Freight several times, but will never be again. Lousy business. Lousy customer service. Lousy furniture.
the 18 piece set
I ordered a set of 18 pieces. I waited the 3 weeks that i was told by the salesman. Then after the 3 weeks I called back everyone was acting like they had no clue what i was talking about . The man kept trying to get me to buy more expensive pieces. I told him i was interested in it. The workers had no clue of when i would recieve my furniture and there was nothing they could do for me and basically offered my money back. Horrible horrible horrible expirence.
$398 7 piece set/okc
My first time ever goin to this furniture store, was a disappointment. First of all False Advertisement there are no $398 sets at the store, maybe $498. Things got worse I then looked at one sofa for $498 not a set one couch. The manager then tells the sales rep the have no more couches why dont i get the $798 sectional. And he was not going to sell the floor model. Their own sales rep admited they bait nd switch people and i should go to mathis brothers. Horrible!
commercials have got to stop!
The commercials are so obnoxious! I will never go or buy anything from these stores! 😒 it's one thing to advertise a product or products, but very annoying to just yell at customers your pitch! Everyone, I know, hate and are annoyed when american freight, as the company, blasts!, it's commercial, anytime of the day, but especially in the a. M. Hours! Thoroughly, "ticked off!" 😟
item not received
I purchased cushions over 4 months ago and still have not received them. I do my part by calling monthly to find out if the cushions are in and the person on the phone always tells me no. I never thought cushions were a difficult item to have in stock, since they are a furniture store. Now when l call they say, the cushions were picked up already. How can they be picked up when l have my receipt?
I have been bamboozled. They collected my money and left me high and dry by making it seems as though it's all my fault.
This is a shady business. NEVER AGAIN!

king size pillow top mattress
Do not buy anything from American Freight. There is NO service after the sale. Bought the mattress from American Freight, after 6 months it looked like it was sinking in in the two areas where we sleep. Had read that they do that sometimes, so we gave it 3 more months and it got worse. This mattress had a 2 inch pillow top and the sunken areas were 2 inches deep. We both felt like we were trying to get out of a hole to get out of bed. Went to the Ocala store where we purchased it and was told to take photos using a yardstick and a tape measure. Submit them by email, and we would get a refund for the mattress, and be able to purchase another one. Called back after 2 weeks, then 3 weeks, then at 4 weeks, was told our claim was denied. But, blamed it on the former manager and was told to resubmit to a different email. It is now been 5 weeks, and have never heard anything, and really did not expect to. Should not have to buy another mattress after 9 months. It will not be from American Freight.

This company is like working in a third world country. The working conditions are despicable for a business in the U.S. Several employees in the Chattanooga warehouse store have been treated for heat stroke and hospitalized and for what $8 an hour?
This company has no concern for the health and well being of any of their employees. Would you really want to shop at business that shows udder disregard for its employees?

American Freight! What a company that is so good at ripping off people. This company must take some sort of class on how to rip people off because every comment that I have read is all the same. I too was ripped off by this company and now I am out of 800 dollars and no furniture. I have tried calling corporate and they are just as bad as the managers at the store. All of them are full of ### and no good. I tried several times to at least get something but I can't get no one to return my call at corporate. I say lets take their ### to court.

I walked in to the store this evening looking to purchase a queen mattress. The store was closing and we were in a hurry, my husband and I wanted to leave with a mattress and found one we liked. When we asked the employees about the pricing of the mattress for the queen, first we quoted $1498, then $998 just for the mattress. The employee told us this was a $2000 mattress for $1000 and it was the last one, we felt bad to keep them waiting so we decided to purchase the mattress. When I got home I did some research and found it advertised online through their website for $599 each piece. At the store we were under the impression the box-spring would be another $998. I realize I should of taken the time to do some research before I bought it but I chose to believe this guy and only had a truck for that day, I ended up feeling pretty ignorant and scammed so he could make extra commission from me! Now I don't have a truck to return the mattress to the store, and I'm stuck with it. I also purchased a sofa 6 months ago that had a leg that broke 3 months after purchasing it. I think I'm finished with this company!
wrong items provided during pick-up
My husband went to the warehouse and purchased a mattress set, bed frame and headboard. He got everything home and discovered that not only had they given him the wrong headboard, but it wasn't even a headboard designed to attach to the bed frame. We live about one hour (drive time) from the warehouse. He immediately called the store to explain that they have him the wrong headboard. They expected us to make the two hour (round trip) drive, two hours before the store's closing time. He was told the store manager would call back when he finished closing another deal with a customer in the store. I waited several minutes, then called the store myself. The store manager (Brent) picked up. He was obviously finished with his prior engagement, but hadn't bothered to call. I asked him when I could expect the bedboard to be delivered, as we purposely picked up the bed set because it was needed THAT NIGHT for an elderly relative who would be in town for an extended visit. The manager stated, "Well, you do have the mattresses..." (as is this was sufficient, after all the 80+ year old female woudln't have to sleep on the floor). I explained to him that the delivery should arrive TONIGHT, as we'd already paid for everything we shoud've received. He stated he'd have to see if he could find a driver. I called back again about 30 minutes later, and he explained it might be the next day before delivery. THIS IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE RESPONSE. He should've apologized for the store's mistake and any inconvenience experienced, then assured us that someone (a delivery driver, or if need be HE HIMSELF) would get our purchase delivered, the same day. It is now about 30 minutes before closing time of the business. He states that the delivery should arrive about 8:30 p.m. tonight. The store closes at 8:00 p.m. Convenient. ALL OF MY BETS are on no deliver tonight, no call, as he knows that he and the rest of the store will be GONE from the business before we 'discover' that to our 'surprise', the delivery does not happen today. I've lived in this area my whole life and KNEW the reputation of this company. My husband is from out of state and did not. If I'd had any idea that he was going to this company to make the purchase, it would've never happened. I will update the site with the results of tonight's 8:30 p.m. delivery. Don't hold your breath people. I'm expecting to have to drive to the store on Sunday and behave very inappropriately to get this resolved. It may not sound like a very big deal to anyone else, but this is NOT the proper customer service skills to expect return customers or positive word of mouth. I only wish dear hubby had've written a check instead using a debit card. The stop check would've been issued after the first phone call.
Surprise, surprise, surprise. The driver who was going to call when he was on his way to deliver the CORRECT furniture (by 8:30 p.m.), has NOT called and it's 8:22 p.m. Guess what else? The store is now closed, as it's after 8:00 p.m. Would've bet my LIFE this was going to be the outcome. I will be at the store when they open. This is going to be an exciting opening morning for these ###s.
