gm and manager bullying
Seeing the other complaints on here makes be realize I am not alone. I am not sure if the GM's and Managers go to a how to be a bully and get away with it class but it seems like it. I work in healthcare in the chicago area. My manager responded to my rebuttal to a memo of concern with another memo of concern that feels like more like a personal attack. To make matters worse she did not put her name on it but put the executives chefs name on it who I work well with. There has been investigations regarding her behavior before and they can be 100% certain there will be another. I have tried 3 times to talk to her and she has ignored me. She manages to write anyone up that speaks their mind and we have lost good managers because of her. I don't want to use the local HR because I know they are buddies and nothing will get resolved.
hr and management bullyings
Im an employee for Aramark at kellogg, in Evanston, IL. I have been subject to racism and bigotry, I complained to HR to resolve the matter but nothing has been resolved for over a month.Actually, HR has made things worse, since the HR manager joined the manager who was doing the harassment and the racism i previously complained about. Also management has been scheduling me alone to do a job that require two to three people at times. I have been discriminated against, ganged up upon by management. I am severely emotionally distraught, broken from all the abuse Im being subject to. I was denied to apply for Aramark Health insurance by my HR manager when i sought for medical help. This has been going on for months. I am begging you to find a solution for this matter. It is not a safe environment for employees, I feel threatened and under a lot of pressure.
unfair hiring procedures
My name is Janice Lovelace and I'm writing to get some understanding about how this company have so many opportunities for jobs and someone as myself applied to I know 20+ opening and can't get a chance to at least get one interview process. I have Serve Safe and Foundations of Management certification... Honestly I thought good work ethics stable work history and good educational background was always a plus... I'm so disappointed of Aramark standards of hiring... I now know that it's not what you know it's who you know that's gets you the job.

Regrettably my wife is an employee at this location and has been for 2 years now. She is now 8 months pregnant going into her 9th month and has asked her management staff to be able to sit at her cash register and not lift more than 10 pounds per object. Although they have verbally complied with her requests, they have not allowed her to follow through with these requests. Her supervisor, Bryan Edwards, has consistently asked her to stop sitting and to continue to lift objects heavier than her OBGYN would allow. This is not the same case with Bryan's supervisor, as he has complied with her and allowed her to preform her requests. It is Bryan who is causing her physical and mental strain. Only today do I write this because my wife came to me in tears from the amount of pain. It is the failure of this supervisor that directly ties to her distress and such employee harassment is simply appalling.
WE WERE ADVISED APPLE FRITTERS ARE NO LONGER RETURNING. WE NEED TO HAVE THOSE BACK! THOSE WERE THE BEST DONUTS AROUND. THE PRICE WAS GREAT. THEY ARE ALSO VERY FILLING. PLEASE HELP US HELP OUR CUSTOMERS AND RETURN THEM BACK TO CHASE TOWER !
bullying and disrespectful

Regrettably I am a currently an employee at this location, in the last few months well known and customer favorite employees have quit because of being under paid because of their longevity & hard work with company going unnoticed or being disrespected.
And these weren't two notices I quit, these were on the spot goodbyes. Now when one employee does it, it's like okay, well that shows you have no respect for yourself or the company, but when it is consistently done not by regular employees but hard working employees that speaks volumes about the company and the sucky management that we have. JERRY KAYLA & KIMBERLY BREWER the head honchos at the ANNEX in Altria on 6601 west broad street need to FIRED. They encourage you to voice you to voice your opinion but then overlook anything you say and gossip about you, but instruct you not to gossip with other employees. The last woman suspended was not informed until she arrived to work and was told by a Manger she was never liked from day 1. ANNEX management aka BULLIES should be fired !
Management harassment and bullying
The management at Aramark in Auburn Hills Michigan is awful there is bullying and harassment brought on by management inside the Chrysler Headquarters. Aramark is always bringing in higher ups having employees watch videos and remember catchy phrases about being respectful, courteous, smile and how Aramark believes in putting families first but they allow management to lie, put down, bully and harass employees everyday at Aramark in Auburn Hills. Not to mention they are good at picking favorites and allowing those to pick and choose and overlook write-ups.
Lying is a big problem for one manager that works for Aramark inside Chrysler Headquarters I have had many issues with him and have had the Union step in to deal with him. He is a scammer a liar he has no soul and has belittled his own family in front of us at work. It's sad that Aramark has these complaints about management they have hired and yet to do nothing about it. But then I guess if you look on how your treated when the vice president of Aramark with his followers treat Aramark employees when they pay a visit they are also soulless, rude and are way to important to say hello.

Wow this complaint brings back horrible memories. Yes I also had a bully for a manager at Aramark inside Chrysler Headquarters . Watch out if you are not chosen to be a favorite! Many employees including myself have worked there longer than bullying boss and were treated with no respect.
operator attitude
All I did was call the number my HR lady gave me and the operator for the W2 section of payment services was very rude and not helpful in the least. All she had to offer was you're an idiot for forgetting to update your address and your managers are stupid for immediately suggesting the electronic W2. I mean, she was really extremely rude.
wrongful firing
i was injured on apr 14th 2014 at wrk i was sent to a doctor i provided all documents my employment is seasonal from oct 1 to the last of apr unless cavaliers makes playoffs my restiction paper allowed to go back to wrk on may 8th 2014 i returned to give my document entering the kitchen i ran into my fellow employee khalil dickerson i ask was the chef in he didnt know i present chef joe my documents he curses me stating wtf am i doing there would not accept my documents to return to work so i left waitn to retun to work when season begins an present documents human resources ms.laine and gillian informed i didnt return documents in time no one saw me and im terminated. I recently visited the National Museum of the Marine Corps while passing through the area on business right before Thanksgiving a few weeks ago. I was extremely impressed with the USMC history that is contained in the museum and have told many people about the museum. While at the museum I ate lunch at the Tun Tavern where I was very surprised by the quality of food that was presented. I did have to wait an extremely long time on my food which I assumed was due to possibly being short staffed but as I saw employees talking behind the bar I asked my server to speak with a manager. I spoke with the food and beverage manager, Jessica to inquire and she apologized for the inconvenience. As we continued to speak she admitted that they had been short staffed that day and she was overloaded with the stress of doing her very demanding job in addition the general managers job and making sure the executive chef is doing his job in providing high quality food for the patrons as they also provide catering at the location where she has new catering managers that are still being trained. As the conversation continued I came to learn that this young lady was being required to work Thanksgiving Day away from her young children while the GM and executive chef were taking the day off as they often do while she works very long days . This employee has been working at this location for many years and is whole heartedly concerned about the reputation of the food service. I was glad to hear from her that they are closed Christmas Day so she will be able to spend the holiday with her children. Wake up management and give this employee the credit she deserves. If it wasn't for her hard work and dedication would you still have a job?

Very rude managers. If they don't like you or you've done something wrong, they become very hateful and rude to you. One in particulars name is Justin Butcher. Hes nice on the outside, but once you annoy him or do something wrong he is the rudest person you will ever meet.
employee abuse
I am submitting this complaint to make aramark aware of many of the violations of ethics among the supervisors regarding their treatment towards employees.
Some of the violations currently being observed are:
*lunch is not duty-free because employees are interrupted and screamed at during their break by supervisors. This is a routine occurrence. Bob, our supervisor, is typically the one who screams at employees and interrupts lunch. I have since decided to stop taking breaks because I am tired to being screamed at and seeing my colleagues mistreated, as well.
*employees are told that they must ask permission to go to the bathroom, then they are denied.
*one employee gashed his leg open on friday and no support was provided (Neither administrative, nor first aid)
*supervisors are not leading by example, nor working. Supervisors are not seen working, they are often seen screaming at employees and interrupting their breaks.
*at one point, one of the supervisors (Darryl hopkins) opened up the door of the vehicle I was transporting while it was running to scream at me, putting himself, myself and hertz in danger
I have worked for aramark since 2008 and have never seen such mistreatment. The new normal is *screaming. Employees have begun filming these actions because they are tired of the harrassment. I am writing a complaint to make this formally known.

I have worked for Aramark for several years at United Regional Hospital, I was recently passed up for a promotion for a guy with very little experience and/or respect within the department, I never understood why until today. I heard my Director of Food and Nutrition (Victoria Donahue) sleeping with of her employees, my boss, in her office. I think its disgusting that the only way someone can get promoted is by sleeping with your boss and in his case, from what I have heard from the rest of the department, this has been going on since she was married and he was engaged. I am disgusted to work for a company like this and I am considering a lawsuit because I was unfairly passed up for this opportunity. The funny part is that food and nutrition department all knows about it, so I assume that senior leadership and Aramark do as well, but because she is making money (by cutting services) they let her do whatever she wants including her managers!

I work for Aramark at Conrady Jr High School and have never been so unhappy with how things are run. The supervisor sits all day and gossips to the women about everyone and everything. They are supposed to set an example for the employees. Kids bring back food that is discolored, old, cold, or just plain disgusting. Food is scraped off buns and reused the next day. Hot dogs are reheated so many times they actually turn green sometimes. Dishes are not done correctly. New employees have to be trained by someone that makes $8.25 an hour and gets no raise for doing extra or being an exceptional worker. We not allowed a lunch break and are told we can't leave building or make emergency phone calls. I was actually threatened to be fired if I take a break. I know for a fact if the health inspector came unexpectedly they would be shut down! I have never seen such horrible conditions in my life.
Sorry about that. I thought we moved passed that as a community of workers. Next question, is blackmail in order by all of her subordinates that may want to emulate her leadership style? She won't be able to say anything to them, because she lives in a gigantic glass house. As for morale and company productivity...obviously NOT the priority here. It's a bad episode of Dynasty!
Discrimination
Ararmark corporation and staff are the most rudest and disrespectful people and company to work for. When ever you have an issue or problem they do not solve the problem or think it never happened. The problem is that the company being a 12 billion dollar plus company does not have the character of what a true company should be and manage. In this situation you have a manager in Houston over HR (non director) Relaint park who thinks and tells police she the owner of the property in a report filed to police. Myself am the employee who filed a charges against her(Shelly landry0 for filing a false report, deliberately lying to a police officer, impersonatation of another employee in her office to lie to police on record (payroil-Lanett). She tried to kick me and my family off the property and violate our rights. All this because of my check that I was suppose to pick up there, they got upset because i was going to contact corporate HR because they lied and said that all employees can only pick up the checks in two hrs from 4pm to 6pm which corporate did not send the letter. I was working at another facility when shelly landry contacted and harrassed the HR there where I was working and pulled me away from my work and once again lying to cover her ###. I was never scheduled to work at Reliant and I contacted my supervisor there and he confermed that she purposely lied to cover her butt. she got all irrate and demanded things blurred out obscene words and she tried to suspend me from working and clocking in when she did not have the authority to because i was not working for her i was working for Ararmark and even from Corpoorate HR they dont know whats going on and have not taken the repotrs on what happened seriously. So charges are filed against shelly and a major civil suit is being filed for wrongful termination and discrimination. Complaints by many employees have been noted about this individual which has been fired before from the company at Minute Maid Park. I am pretty sure the company will com around when the law suit is filed. Also employees are put under harsh conditions and not paid enough for what we did and get yelled and scremmed at for nothing while it is suppose to be part time we were making full time pay without bennifits. The EEOC will be contacted.

A female Director at the of Aramark's accounts in Rye, New York public school system is having a personal relationship with her male assistant which is against the code of conduct policy of Aramark and even with reports and evidence given they continue to condone her behavior, is this because she is a woman and it is less aggregious than if a male was committing the same acts.

I have been working for aramark at southampton airport for 2 and half years. And have had minor problems pretty much nothing untill we have a new manager start and from day one he was rude and always wud have stuff to complain about with me no one else but me. He wud never speak to me if he had any issuses about anything had either done wrong or had forgotten to do. I mean I'm not perfect but he is a horrible extremely rude man and on days he isn't here days go perfect when he is here days go horrible and. I get in trouble all the time for as petty stuff like not saying hello to him when I just didn't hear him I was in another world of my own. I really want to have him gone what can I do ?

harassment of chef
I was hired on weds. Got hired to be the dish washer only for the area I worked In, but I never got train to handle food. I found it odd that I was getting showed rather then just seeing my work station and etc. But since mom got me the job i given it the benefit of the doubt. As soon as i started to work.. they had me doing all kinds of stuff and i could not get the dishes done in time But monday got worst. I couldn't keep up simply because i was not train in that area I was suppose to be dish washer only. but they had me do other stuff without no type of training then the chef got on my case alot and treaten to fire me.. I quit tuesday simply because it was unfair to get over worked and it's been only 5 days into the job and i could not get finish in time simply because i was not doing what i was hired to do and chef kept harassing and threaten me to speed up and yelled at me for asking what to do if i simply forgot. but then yells at me for not asking. If you want to work stress free to not aplly for anything dealing with this company because they would work you like a dog mostly the chefs.

Company hired me as a federal inmate to collect $2400.00 if I worked for 6 months. (Started june, 20 10, terminated january 13, 2011. Layoff) because of my age they weeded me out. They did the same thing to atleast 4 others over the age of 50. This is bad hiring practice. They should give back the $2400.00.
