poor customer service
I walked into auto zone 64th King Dr. I was trying to buy some batteries. There was no cashier at the register for about ten min. They were laughing talking on phone. Looking up car parts, one employee outside looking at someone car. I say they lucky I don't steal. So, finally someone comes to register. His name was Todd Jones he replied why you so hostile and in a rush. I say because I'm waiting ten min to purchase my items, which is bad customer service. Which I'm entitled to to say if getting poor service as manager your job is to make your customers happy. He goes on to tell me have a good day, and I can call who I want to call. As a business owner myself that is not the way You handle your customers.

He didn't have a seal so I had to go to summer ave hub to get seal he had one. Note the hole time I'm wondering if alternator test Was done properly the manager is laughing joking about the guy changing a battery outside so this makes me unsure of the test I go to other auto zone on summer hub to get seal and brake switch after forever the guy finds the part I go outside grab seal try to see if its the right one and its a number off inform him he gets switch it looks used like it was grinded on I showed him he said they all look like that he rings the switch up and my seal I told him after he tried to ring me up cpl times I want to pay all together and need alternator battery test when trying to take my seal I paid for out to do test he act like I didn't pay for I showed him reciept he did test said alternator bad so one store said bad one good I buy it arrives quick I will say from summer store he said so I buy a ratchet another almost 400 go home to put brakes on didn't have socket went back to sycamore asked if he could go outside to see size of socket needed to take wheels off his response I'm about to get off they treated me like a criminal altho I just was there spending hundreds of dollers they didn't want to go outside said I could leave a license or phone I was in work van with number on side I laughed left phone bought socket breaker bar went put on brakes Rogers hub caps painted wheels alternator my brake lights wasn't working and dash lights flashing still when I hit brakes it went away i look in back by lights and a ground came loose and it had been leaving front lights on draining battery over night so I went to another autozone they tested old alternator in the cabnet it was good I bought a 230 plus 10 core alternator for nothing just wish I would have been able to get a good test that I could trust not sure why non car people are in autozone if they are not qualified it cost me alot of unneeded time I put starter on car day before they gave me wrong one at hub the only one that had it from arlington had to go to bartlett to get right one I stoped using autozone for a while because of service and products but I recently got a gift card and I thought was pretty cool so I started back just wish they had better service with people that have a clue that's all thanks
starter
We bought a starter from here and it turned out this new starter from auto zone didn't work at all. When we went to the store to exchange it at the 28th street in Grand Rapids mi the STORE MANAGER acted like we were wasting his time and couldn't care less that he gave us a faulty party. Then we had to request for him to check it to make sure it works and he was less than enthused to do this for us too. He just overall seemed uninterested in us and we were a nuisance.
brakes return
I came into the AutoZone store #3191 on Friday 10/6/2017 to get a refund for old brakes pads. At the time of the arrival I encounter Willie Larkin an employee I gave him my receipt and processed the information in the system and then sent my to Ladricka Hammon (manager) who gave me the refund. On Sat I came bk to return my back pads that I didnt return on Friday beacuse I was still looking for my receipt to return on Friday and was advised that they had voided out my brakes pads for the back and warranty. The rep stated that I received the refund yesterday. I explained to him that that couldn't be possible because I bought my front brakes not my back on Friday so they made the nistake. he said well this is a mistake the manager made and on top of that they were not suppose to have gave me the refund for the front brakes without my replacing the brakes twice. There was nothing he could do I had to wait until Monday to speak with manager. I called on this morning to explain my frustration and pretty much got ever reason in the world for the situation and why and how their rep missed up my no fault took for their end. I am very frustrated and this point and still no refund for my back breaks. I have called corp and Left a message for district manager Alvin Hanes to return my call. I don't understand how these business mess up but and leave you to figure out their employee mistakes. At this point the two nor the manager did their jobs to explain the Protocol of there process when I can in for my 1st refund but made when now that they are explaining after works and I am saying that's you all problem not mines they are mad at me. Very unprofessional.
management
I can not explain how irritated I am with the service I received here. My friend and I both walked into the store and were not even glanced at. Finally after 5 min of walking around the store trying to find the windshield wipers, I asked the manager if I could get some help. She said okay without looking at me and took me to the wipers and walked away. No help at all. So I pick out my wipers with the correct measurements for my car and go to pay for them. The employee that rang me up was friendly. I asked her if I could get some help with putting the wipers on my car and she said yes. I wait around for a few minutes until the rude woman who initially showed me the wipers AND is the manager looked at me and said very rudly are you the one who needs help? I said yes and she then asks where my car was and I said outside. Then she looks at me like I’m stupid and says what car do you have? I don’t see it. I then explain that it’s around the corner but no more than 15 steps outside. She walks out and I tell her my car is the white one. She takes my wipers off and then states that my wipers are horrible and that the ones I bought aren’t going to work at all. She then proceeded to make me feel stupid and asked me who put the wipers on? I told her my car was bought that way. During this time I wanted so bad to tell her that the customer service here is HORRIBLE. So I tell her I guess I’ll have to get new ones and she says yes you have to and they’re not going to me $10 ones. Ok? Talk about rude. I just wanted to leave this store. Long story short, I went to get a refund and had paid with card. She told me she can only refund me cash and not on my card. I’ve never ever had that happen. You typically get refunded the way you paid. I left the store annoyed, irritated, angry, and disappointed. Oh and to top it off she left my windshield wipers still off of my car just laying on the hood. I want to know who upgraded this woman to the manager there? She’s terrible and doesn’t care about her job at all.
poor business practice
This last friday I was replacing the thermostat on a customers 95 saturn and I accidentally picked up the wrong one. Realizing this, I rushed back to the Autozone which I originally purchased it at and arrived at 8:55pm to the store manager and his two clerks locking the front doors. I pulled up and jumped out of my car and asked if I could exchange my part for the correct one, to which I was told (by the store manager no less) that they were done for the day and I could wait until the next morning to do my echange...I then made the time known and was told that he didn't care and the alarm had already been set and I could try the door if I wanted the police to come for me...I was taken aback to say the least! I got back in my car and backed out of the parking spot and then had to wait what seemed like an eternity while the three of them meandered in front of me to there cars. If that wasn't bad enough, they were laughing and looking over their shoulders at me and my client sitting...waiting...
I then had to console my customer as he was on his way out of town and couldn't because his lack of transportation. I ended up paying for him to secure a hotel room for the night and paid for him and his wife to eat dinner.
This was NOT the behavior I would expect from the employees that work for you as I typically receive good treatment when visiting your store. This isn't to mention the last time I checked when your hours of operation sign reads open until 9:00pm that means 9:00 pm,
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

clutch kit
I purchased a clutch kit and the employee was more concerned with getting home to eat he opened it appeared to make sure it was all there. When my mechanic opened it there was 3 different items missing and had to order those parts from another store which left my car sitting all day unable to finish if he had checked properly the day before we could have had them by time they were needed when I picked up the missing parts the same employee waited on me and thought it was funny (the mechanic who's schedule is completly messed up now didn't think it was so funny )and now I have to miss another day of work all because he didn't do his job correctly
complaining of sales manager john cs attitude
I asked sales manager John C if he would order me. Touch up paint for my vehicle paint code nissan KH3
He immediately responded with “ no we can not order that” I asked him how he could possibly know that when he hadn’t even tried nor had I given him the paint code or the duplicolor conversion number he responds with “ ha ha how do I know? Because I’ve worked here for 13 years, that’s how ! “
After I insisted that he do his job he did look it up and low and behold it can be ordered and it will be at their store this same day .
John C. Tried to turn me away without a second thought of even trying to help me . If I hadn’t been so insistent I would have taken my business to a different store. I still may take my business to Orielys or advance Auto from now on after my encounter with John C at the 28th and west broadway Auto Zone here in Council Bluffs, Iowa 51501
I have never had a parts tech flat out refuse to try and help me find a part that I needed before.
Iam very disappointed with the manager at this store . If the manager takes on this poor attitude what kind of attitude do you think the employees will have toward customers ?
unethical behavior
I am a former Auto zone employee, I recently worked there for 10 months I started off as part time commercial driver after a few months I was promoted to full time red shirt position. I worked this position for about 6 out of the 4 months with the company. My store manager and my district manager both agreed that it was okay for me to work only the morning shift due to my availability, my store manager quit last week and the lady started making all of the these changes, I understand the fact that things must change but the way I was cheated out of my job was unfair. I spoke to Human Resources and I explained the situation to her and she said there was nothing she could do but demote me to part time, I acknowledged the fact that in the Auto Zone hand book it states that in order to work in a full time position u must have full availability to work morning and night shift. My issue is that if the position was not available to my availability, why was it offered me to begin with they should have left me at part time, now that I was full time I took on other financial responsibilities that I cannot afford on a part time pay rate. The whole situation is unfair because I understand that there are staffing issues and I was only a red shirt and like the lady from Human Resources made me understand is that I was easily replaced, it takes away from my moral being because of the fact that they treat people so unfairly.
store manager/district manager
The store manger is racist against whites and is allowed to put her hands on employees and the district manger does nothing allows the store manger to still work why the white lady gets punished for leaving so she could keep her job.The employees and customers have complained to help the employee out but now she has left and she was the best in the building and along with the other guy that was good... The staff steals the lady and guy found out what they where doing and pushed them out the door you would thank they would see something wrong but they are recist in the higher management so they will lose my business and a lot of customers as well.
refuse service/return
on Thursday September 21 at approximately 9:50pm, the manager named Raffy was very rude and short-tempered with me had no patience and insisted that I was telling him how to do his job being extremely and unnecessarily defensive even going as far as to accuse me of having some stolen merchandise or a fake receipt of some sort refused to help and service my return even though my receipt is 100% legit and I paid cash have never stolen from AutoZone and the tools in package never opened he immediately got defensive telling me I was telling him how to do his job when I was simply trying to point out that the item was on the receipt and it had a description clearly I begged him and he said no because I was being rude this is the worst experience I've ever had in AutoZone or any other retail store with any manager let alone employee clearly he was in the wrong and I feel very unjustly treated in fact he made me never want to shop at that AutoZone again
manager
I stopped in Your store in peachtree city to get some bolts and led parking light. I had my 2 large dogs in the back of the truck so I parked in a corner space away from the store at an angle to put my dogs under the shade of the tree. I went to the counter to check out and Store Manager Robert L. Asked if that was my white truck. I answered yes. He proceeded to tell me i need to park straight next time and not take up 2 spots in front of other customers and another employee. I advised him my dogs were in the truck and I made sure they had shade for the short time I was there and their well being was more important than the parking spot. He then adviswd me it was the cities policy. So now hes enforcing state laws as a autozone employee. State laws dont cover private property. I was parked away from the store and there were only 3 cars in the lot. None near me. This manager was very unprofessional and humiliated me in front of other people. I have been doing business there for years as I live near this area as well as my friends who own automotive business in peachtree city. The manager never asked me for my rewards card because he was to focused on humiliating me. I stood my ground and he didn't like my responses. I told him I would take my business elsewhere and he said ok and the co worker nodded his head too at my response.
Nobody cares about your dogs though. They’re just animals. Don’t take up two parking spaces anywhere you go. Us humans need adequate space, we need to follow the rules other humans make, and to spend that mighty dollar.
Your dogs are not your shield for your own bad behavior.
store manager breaking corporate policy
I went to the Autozone on Nederland Ave in Nederland TX to get a part my husband needed. Prior to arriving I checked other competitors prices and had them readily available to show for the price match. I have used the price match guarantee several times for years and this is why Autozone has had my business for over 20 years. THAT ENDS TODAY! Not only did the store manager DENY corporate policy of the price match guarantee, the store manager was very rude because I questioned why he would not price match which is corporate policy. The item was for sale by a competitor and the part had the same lifetime warranty. Both of which met the requirements for the price match of $45. However, he said the lowest he would go was $69.99. I was highly upset and shocked with how I was treated. HE ACTUALLY ACTED LIKE HE WAS MY BOSS AND I BETTER NOT QUESTION HIS WORD! My story gets even more SHOCKING! My husband needed 3 additional parts. I looked just one of those parts up at AUTOZONE.COM and told my husband the part was $21, took a screenshot and sent it to his phone so he could show the manager just in case he ALSO gave him a hard time and to show the part was in stock according to your website. At this point I have lost all faith in AutoZone. When my husband arrived at the same Autozone on nederland Ave in Nederland TX, My husband was told the
Part was $37. HE SHOWED THE MANAGER THE ONLINE PRICE FOR AUTOZONE AND ! HE REFUSED! REFUSED! TO MATCH HIS OWN PRICE ONLINE! HE REFUSED TO MATCH THE PRICE ON AutoZone.com. My husband was so angry and fed up that when he left he wanted me to blow up social media with this unacceptable customer service and ask that all who see the message NOT to support this type of treatment to our local community... GO TO ONE OF THE OTHER 2 Parts places next door to that location but DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS unless you support the store Manager Price Gauging his own local community! Especially after the tragic flooding we experienced and all the cars flooded in the area with only liability which will not cover a flooded vehicle. Way to hit us where it hurts. We had 2 choices 1. Don't fix our truck and loose his job which after the hurricane I no longer have one. Or 2. Buy the parts and have our kids go without food for 2 weeks until he gets paid. We had no choice and the extra $60 we had to pay literally took the food out of our children's mouth. Now I have to explain why they can't eat lunch at school and why we only have crackers for dinner... every day and every night for two weeks if the crackers last that long.
unethical behavior
My name is Brian Daves and I bought a battery on September 6th from 1207 H Street NE and my car was fine. After my car battery died the next day due to a broken belt, I had the car fixed by a mechanic. After the car was repaired, I brought the car to Autozone 13701 Georgia Ave to put washers on the battery to protect against corrosion. The technician incorrectly put on the battery/washers which caused my car to cut off in the middle of the street an hour after driving. I contacted the H street location because this was where the car was closest to and the Jamaican manager told me "What you want us to do? We can't do nothing unless your car is in the lot". I acknowledged that and walked to the store to explain the situation face-to-face. The manager was very argumentative with me and another customer received argumentative conversations with another Ethiopian manager. I instantly contacted corporate and was contacted with the district manager. He contacted another manager that was at the store and after the call, she yelled loudly with me and didn't allow me to talk. I got loud with her in frustration and walked off. I was told to get my car towed to the AutoZone to receive assistance. After having to pay a tow truck to come to this location, the managers all left except one and another associate. The associate was now knowledgeable of cars yet still offered to assist me because the Jamaican manager was rejecting to help me. I called the district manager and the manager then walked outside quickly to assist me. This was very stressful and I would like my funds back that I paid for the battery in efforts to relieve the stress put into this incidence to pay for tow trucks and to be serviced as such. My contact number to locate receipt is [protected].
was told no by counter staff
Walked into Autozone on 9/10/2017 in Brighton, MI 48116 approximately 6:10pm. Counter staff asked if I needed help and I said "Yes, I'm looking for skid plate bolts for 2003 Toyota 4runner, the bolt is 8x1.25" The counter staff immediately said "we don't have that, the bolts are over there and pointed to the back corner of the store." I asked him "will you look into the computer, I have found them online and it says you have them and I would like to order if not in the store. He said "NO" We cannot help you and do not carry that. I was taken back that he just told me no, I told him to [censored] Off and you just lost all my business and I will never come back here.
I walked out of the store and called the store to speak with the manager. The manager was extremely rude with me and said her employee did nothing wrong and she over heard the entire conversation. I asked her if her employee told me NO, and she replied with he did not say that. Then kept talking to say "You can call or report whatever you want I don't care". I ended the conversation and with that all of my business with Auto Zone.
I immediately went to O'reillys Auto Parts. Talked to counter staff, gave him the name of the bolts and amazingly he found them in the system and I walked out 20 minutes later with the bolts. Advanced auto also has the bolts but they were closed at the time.
For this employee to tell me NO and say they cannot get the bolts is unbelievable. Auto Zone this is your Employee of the year, he must have worked their his entire life to know the entire computerized system of every bolt, nut and screw you can order for every make and model vehicle on the road.
Desirable resolution: New staff, I understand most of your employee make minimum wage and don't want to work. Thats their problem, maybe pay for their education so they can move up in the world.
service and rude associates
My wife and I were out Saturday night in Seneca SC ..our battery died and we had to call AAA. They tested our battery and confirmed we, had a dead cell...the technician gave us a print out of the confirmation and then jumped us off so we could make it to Auto zone to have a new battery put in .. We arrived around 730pm on September 9th..the girl there asked us, what we needed..we told her and because the battery cover had to be unscrewed and slid away from the battery, she refused us service...needless to say my wife has a heart condition, was trying to take care of her car so she would not be out stranded somewhere...this girl did not care ...the store stays open till 9pm...2 employees and we were the only customer...we left p issed off and went to advance auto..where they gladly sold us a battery and gladly installed it for us..it took them 10 minutes ... y all lost a customer and they gained a friend..yall will be hearing from my lawyer ...
Thanks for nothing

I just leave and never comeback at Kernersville Nc autozone because the manager Terry was really rude just ask for help about a part on my car and he send me straight to google when I told him about acting rude and request speak with the manager he said I'm the manager and have a nice day everybody knows what means so if you are a Latino don't go never to autozone in Kernersville they are rude and racis with us
violence in the workplaces
Since when did AutoZone allow a manager from one store to go into another store and bully an employee into getting in front of customers? Well it happened September 6, 2017 at store 619 in Indianapolis IN I personally think the values in the Indianapolis area have went to hell .This needs to be investigated the management in that store is horrible and do not live the pledge at all they are lazy and rude,
I am complaining about sexism
I called the store in lakewood Colorado off Alamedia just west of Sheridan yesterday to see if they had a part in stock. The guy who answered the phone asked me as soon as I asked about the part "is that what your mechanic says you need?" it was lije he has a problem with a woman fixing her own car. Because of this situation and others before I will no longer shop at any AutoZone location also I am and have advised my friends and family not to go there anymore
