BooksRun Avoid Booksrun.com: Unfair Treatment and Payout Issues

I gotta tell ya, folks, I had a real doozy of an experience with Booksrun.com. Let me tell you, they ain't nothin' to mess with. If they think your books are counterfeit, they'll shut down your account faster than you can say "Jack Robinson." And let me tell you, it ain't pretty.

Now, I had four books that they said were counterfeit, and I didn't get paid for any of 'em. I don't even know if they were really fake or not, but I had to take their word for it. And let me tell you, I got those books from legit sources. But that didn't matter to them. Nope, they just shut me down and kept my books.

And it wasn't just those four books, either. I had 15 other books that they said were legit, but I had to hound 'em to get my payout. It was like pulling teeth, I tell ya. And I ain't never gonna do business with 'em again.

I mean, I've dealt with other book resellers before, and they were a lot smoother and more fair than Booksrun.com. Even if those four books were fake, they treated me like a criminal. And not just me, but my family too. They accused me of using fake accounts, but my sons had accounts with 'em too. It was a real mess, let me tell ya.

But you know what? I ain't even mad that they shut down my account. 'Cause I only do business with companies that care about their customers. And Booksrun.com ain't one of 'em. So take my advice, folks: steer clear of 'em.

I also sold them 4 books and apparently one is a counterfeit cause morning was said about the other 3. So how I'm waiting on Amazon to see what they have to say about selling me a counterfeit cause that's where they all came from and they were all the same book and each cost over 100.00 dollars but book run don't care. They'd rather say it's counterfeit so they won't have to pay and then disabled your account but never reply to your email! It seems like it's something they like doing. Don't sell them your books cause my grandson did and he is being told he ain't getting no money back! What a waste of time

BooksRun Warning: Do Not Use This Company - They Accused Me of Lying and Stole My Items

This company is not recommended at all. I sent my books on April 25th and they received them on April 29th. However, it is now June 7th and I still haven't received my check. I called last week and spoke to Oleg. He told me that my issue would be resolved in 1-2 business days. Unfortunately, I didn't hear anything from them. Yesterday, I called again and got Oleg. I told him the same thing and he tried to say 1-2 business days again. I asked for an email follow-up to confirm that we spoke because this was the second time he promised to solve my issue. The email I received was shocking. It was a picture of the outside of my package and a picture of a wrapped t-shirt next to it. The email stated that I sent them a t-shirt, not books. They accused me of lying and said that there was nothing they could do. They suggested that I contact my post office. This is absolutely disgusting. I still have my receipt from the post office and the package weighed 3 pounds. A t-shirt does not weigh 3 pounds. It's not even about the money. I wasn't getting much for them. It's the principle that they stole from me, accused me of lying, and still have my items with no compensation. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this company.

BooksRun BooksRun Review: Total Scam! Don't Sell Your Books Here!

I went to BooksRun (booksrun.com) to sell some of my old textbooks. I was happy to see that they offered a good price for my books, so I decided to give them a try. I printed out the label they emailed to me, from their website. I received confirmation that they got my books and it would take 4 business days to process.

However, a week later, I still hadn't received anything. I was starting to get worried, so I decided to contact them. They told me that they didn't have a PO box and they didn't know where my books had gone. This was over a month ago, and I still haven't received any updates. Every time I email them, all I am told is that they are "checking on it". I even filed a claim with USPS, but still nothing.

At first, I thought they were sincere and trying to help me. But now, I feel like I'm being ripped off. I asked for my case to be escalated to a supervisor or manager, but all I received was a notification that a check for $15 is being sent! I sent them 3 never been opened books that were worth over $300, and I was originally quoted a measly $70.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are a total scam! They will take your books and your money and run you through the ringer for MONTHS!

To the response by BooksRun - after two months of emails of my lost books, they all the sudden "found my missing books" what a miracle! And want to offer me $30 for 3 books. For some "mistake" and I have to pay for the shipping costs if I want my books back. - total joke of a company.

BooksRun Mixed Experience with Booksrun: Great Product and Price, Poor Customer Service

I recently purchased a book from Booksrun and I must say, I was quite impressed with the prompt delivery and the excellent condition of the book. The price was also very reasonable, much lower than what I could find anywhere else. However, I did encounter a bit of a problem when I tried to pay with Paypal. After completing the payment process, the website informed me that the transaction did not go through. So, I decided to pay with my credit card instead and the transaction went through without any issues. But to my surprise, the next day I found that both charges had been processed.

I immediately contacted customer service to resolve the issue, but to my dismay, it turned out to be an absolute nightmare. It took them weeks to reply to my emails, and even when they did, they kept asking for additional information that I had already provided or that they should have had in their records. It seemed like they were just stalling to avoid issuing me a refund. I was extremely frustrated with their lack of responsiveness and professionalism.

Finally, I decided to take matters into my own hands and contacted Paypal for a refund. To my surprise, they issued me a refund in just one business day. It was only after I initiated the refund process with Paypal that I received a reply from Booksrun's customer service, which was two weeks after my initial contact. I suspect that the only reason they responded was because of the contact from Paypal.

Overall, I was satisfied with the product and the price, but the customer service experience was a major letdown. I hope that Booksrun can improve their customer service and become more responsive to their customers' needs.

BooksRun Efficient and Reliable Textbook Buyback: My Experience with Booksrun

I was a bit worried when I sent my books to Booksrun for buyback, especially after reading some negative reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. Booksrun offered me the best prices for my textbooks and they took more of my books than other sites. I was impressed with how quickly my order was processed after it was delivered, within just 2 days. If they didn't need to check one of my books for authenticity, it would have been processed even faster, within just 1 day.

I chose to receive my payment through PayPal and was pleased to see the money in my account just 1 day after processing. I was told it could take 2-4 business days, so this was a nice surprise. I also found their customer service to be responsive and helpful both over email and phone when I called to ask about my order.

One thing to keep in mind is that the price they offer you may change based on the condition of your book. They have different categories like new, good, or acceptable, and they may adjust the price if they find any damage. In my case, they took $2 off of one of my books because of this, but I thought it was a fair judgment.

Booksrun takes counterfeit books seriously, so they put my order on hold for a day to check if one of my books was counterfeit. Apparently, many copies are, so it's important to be aware of this. In the end, they found that my book was authentic, but it's definitely something to keep in mind. They also recommend taking off all stickers and checking your books for signs they may be counterfeit, as well as following their packing instructions.

Overall, I'm happy with my experience with Booksrun. They offered me the best prices, processed my order quickly, and had good customer service. Just be aware of the potential for price adjustments based on book condition and the possibility of counterfeit books.

BooksRun Disappointing Experience with BooksRun's Buyback Service: Counterfeit Book Issue and Poor Customer Service

I've used BooksRun twice now to sell my old textbooks, and I have to say, my experience was not great. The first time I used their Buyback service, everything went smoothly and I received the amount I was quoted. However, the second time around, things didn't go as planned.

BooksRun initially offered me $43 for two of my books, but then they changed their minds and said one of the books was a "Counterfeit." They refused to send it back to me unless I paid $8 for shipping, even though I knew the book was not fake. I was given the option to accept $6 instead of the original $43, but I didn't think that was fair.

I reached out to BooksRun to try and resolve the issue, but I didn't receive a response for six days. When they finally did respond, they sent me pictures of my book with some supposed problems, but I still wasn't convinced it was counterfeit. I asked them to have the publisher of the book verify that it was indeed fake, but I never received a response from either the publisher or BooksRun.

In the end, I was only paid $6 for my book instead of the $43 I was initially promised. I understand that if the book was counterfeit, I shouldn't receive the full amount, but it seems like BooksRun doesn't know how to handle situations like this properly. I'm disappointed with my experience and wouldn't recommend their services.

BooksRun BooksRun's Unfair Pricing Tactics: A Warning to Book Sellers

I just had a terrible experience with BooksRun and I would not recommend selling your books through them. I sent in some brand new, unused books that were in excellent condition, but they still lowered the price from $150 to $60. I was shocked and confused, so I did some research and found out that this is a common issue with their buyback program. Many people have raised red flags about their unfair pricing tactics.

To protect myself, I took photos of the books and even made a video showing them being packed and sealed with a plastic bag to prevent water damage. However, BooksRun still claimed that the books were in worse condition than they actually were. They even sent me photos that didn't show any damage at all. Even if we go with their "Used - Acceptable" rating, their current buyback price for that condition is $120! It's clear that they are lowballing sellers and taking advantage of their desperation to get rid of their books.

It's frustrating because BooksRun promises to pay top dollar to sellers, but then they turn around and sell those same books at a huge markup to buyers. Most people don't want to pay $20 to have the books shipped back, so they end up accepting the lowball offer. It's a scam, plain and simple.

I'm attaching pictures that I took and that BooksRun sent to show the condition of the books. They rated them as "Used - Acceptable", but I don't think that's accurate. I'm also including a screenshot of what they are saying they will pay for books in that condition. It's ridiculous.

After I posted my review, BooksRun contacted me, but they didn't respond to my direct email about the order. We went back and forth, and they agreed to pay a little more for two of the books, but they claimed that the third one was damaged very badly. I don't know how that's possible since all three were packed in the same plastic bag and box when I shipped them.

Overall, I would still recommend that people stay away from BooksRun if they want to sell their books. It's just not worth the hassle and frustration.

BooksRun Beware of BooksRun's Buyback Process: Lowball Offers and False Claims of Water Damage

I recently had an experience with BooksRun and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. I decided to sell my books through their website, but I regret that decision now. I sent them brand new books that were in excellent condition, but they lowered the price from $150 to $60. I was shocked and disappointed.

I had read some reviews about their buyback process before sending my books, and I was already skeptical. However, I decided to give them a chance. I even took photos and a video of the books being packed and sealed, just to be sure. But it seems like they have a standard reason for downgrading book condition - water damage. They claimed that my books had water damage, which was not true at all.

I was not going to let them get away with this, so I contacted them and sent them the photos and video I had taken. They did not respond to my direct email, but they contacted me after seeing my review. After some back and forth exchanges, they agreed to pay a little more for two of the books, but they claimed that the third one was damaged very badly. I don't know how that is possible, given that all three books were packed in the same plastic bag and box when I shipped them to BooksRun.

Overall, I would not recommend selling your books through BooksRun. They promise to pay top dollar to sellers, but they lowball them after getting the books. Most people end up accepting the lowball offer because they don't want to pay $20 to have the books shipped back. Then, BooksRun turns around and sells those same books at a huge markup to buyers. It's not fair to sellers, and it's not ethical.

If you're thinking of selling your books, I suggest you look for other options. Don't fall for the promises of BooksRun. They may seem like a good deal, but in the end, it's not worth it.

BooksRun BooksRun: Unreliable and Unaccountable - Beware of Bad Checks and Hidden Fees

This company is not worth doing business with. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes, and now I'm out $32. I sold a textbook to them, and everything was going well until I tried to deposit the check they sent me. The check bounced because their account through Capital One showed as closed. I was charged a fee by my bank for trying to deposit a check that bounced. I contacted customer service, and they sent me the amount of the check through PayPal, but they refused to reimburse me for the check bouncing fee. They blamed my bank, saying that the check was valid and somehow my bank scanned it in wrong. I went back to the bank multiple times, and three different people (including a supervisor) verified that the check was scanned in correctly and that the account was closed. It could be that BooksRun's bank erroneously rejected the check, but that means BooksRun needs to reimburse me for the check fee and demand that their bank reimburse them. I shouldn't have to pay for BooksRun's negligence, but I'm stuck with the fee for trying to deposit their bad check. I've been back and forth with customer service for months, but they refuse to reimburse me the fee, stating that "we did not charge you the fee, so we are not authorized to reimburse you" and that I should "look at it from their perspective." I've provided them with proof of the fee associated with the bad check as well as the check itself showing the reason it bounced since the beginning, so there's no perspective that they can take where they're not in the wrong. It's illegal to write someone a bad check, but this company believes that they can get away with it. At this point, I'm having to investigate other legal options to get my money back and hold this business accountable for their actions since they refuse to own up to their mistakes. Stay far away from this company so you don't end up like me!

BooksRun BooksRun Review: Poor Buyback Experience and Customer Service

I was so excited to use BooksRun to sell my textbooks, but unfortunately, my experience was not a good one. At first, I was quoted $70 for my buyback order, which seemed like a fair price. However, when they received my textbooks, they reduced my quote to less than half of what I was originally told. I was not happy about this, so I immediately sent an inquiry about an adjusted quote for "water damage" on January 9th. Unfortunately, I did not hear back from them for over a week, which was very frustrating. I know other people have had the same problem, so be careful!

When I finally did hear back from them, it was not a helpful response. They sent me a blurry photo that showed absolutely nothing, and they ignored my inquiry. They automatically approved the adjusted quote without my approval, which was not okay with me. I had to call them after a week of no response, and I asked about the disputed adjusted quote for my textbook. It took a lot of back and forth, but eventually, I just asked the operator to return ALL of my good condition books as they were put on hold and not yet processed.

I spoke to a guy named Oleg, who told me that they would return all of my books and that I would receive an email confirming this at 1pm. However, when I received the email, it told me that I would not be receiving all of my textbooks because they'd already been processed. They were going to keep three of my textbooks and send me $15 to my Paypal. I was not happy about this, and I tried to get in touch with someone at BooksRun, but it was impossible to speak directly to a supervisor or a manager. I was only able to speak to one of their four total customer service agents.

I wish I had read the reviews before sending my textbooks to BooksRun. I paid over $300 for these books, and I feel like I got ripped off. I normally don't write reviews, but I made an account just to let others know about my experience. It was a complete joke, and I would never deal with online sellers again.

UPDATE: Oleg offered me an 8% off coupon to compensate me for what happened, but that is not enough. They stole my books and sent me pocket change! I will never use BooksRun again.

UPDATE 2: Oleg accused me of plotting some nefarious premeditated violation of their book policy, as well as harassment for trying to contact them repeatedly about this. This is ridiculous! All of this could've been resolved if they had just answered my question in a timely manner. I would advise everyone to stay away from this shady business.

BooksRun Order #4289548

Sent them a book they said he would buy. The book was in very good to excellent condition. They say the book did not meet their standards. There were no bent pages or corners. It was like new. To get my book returned, I have to pay them. If I do not get my book back, they get a free book and will sell it to another customer. We are just giving them books and they make all the profit. DO NOT DEAL with this company.

Claimed loss: $10.16, what I was offered for the book

Desired outcome: Send me a check or return my book.

BooksRun Books Run

RE ORDER #3901682

I sent a book to Books Run. Had other buyback options for essentially this same price but thought I’d try them. They initially quoted a buyback price of $31.05. Then I received notice of a price adjustment down to $12.42 claiming book submitted was in “a poor condition.” A picture showing minor damage (two small spots at base of book) accompanied my notice of price adjustment. First, book was in fine condition and second, I maintain it was not damaged when sent. There is the option of refusing the reduced price but under that option, the shipping cost to return book to me is deducted. Who knows what these scammers would charge for that.

I have sold books back to multiple services. I only sell back books that are in fine/excellent condition. I have NEVER had a “price adjustment.” This service is a total “bait and switch” scam.

Claimed loss: Initial quote offered of 32.88 - revised offer of 14.25 = $18.63 loss

Desired outcome: I would like full payment for my book…so a refund of the $18.63 they scammed from me.

BooksRun BooksRun

This company is a scam! They steal your books and claim that they are “counterfeit”. Then refuse to return them. Or they will quote one price for the book, then make up some arbitrary reason to pay less money than what they quoted. The company has no customer service telephone number and the emails go unanswered. I was cheated out of almost $55 for a brand new textbook that I have the original receipt for!

Desired outcome: I would like MY book or the money they quoted me.

BooksRun Rental book

I placed an order for a rental 9/7/23 and realized I put an email that doesn’t exist (I have a multiple emails and meshed them in my head together) completely my mistake. But I’ve sent over 3 emails at this point and no one contacts me back. I tried they’re live chat and ultimately it’s gives me their email and their phone number so of course I tried calling and seems like there’s no actual associate there at all, so it just cuts the call on me. I’m in college and I’m in a rush to get that textbook rental, I have no information on tracking because of the wrong email. I have no order number or confirmation of any sort. Payment went through and everything.

Desired outcome: Would like someone to contact me if possible and simply add the correct email to my order so I can see the confirmation and tracking info.

BooksRun BooksRun Ebook rental

August 17 I ordered "Pearson eText Physics for Scientist and Engineers: A Strategic Approach with Modern Physics -- Instant Access (Pearson+)". My order number was #3994658. However, when trying to access my ebook, I found that it was only the singular title page. Now, I would have happily just refunded the ebook in my alloted 14 days, but when I go to do so, my account claims that I have not made any orders despite me receiving an email receipt for $47.78.

I would like to assume I'm missing a step, and this isn't blatant false advertising, but I've tried downloading the app and viewing it there, but yeah, it's just 1 page.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and a refund for my order.

BooksRun Disappointing Experience with BooksRun: Downgraded Ratings and Deceptive Practices

I am very disappointed with BooksRun. I sent them a bunch of books that were in great condition, except for some highlighting on a few pages. I marked them as acceptable, but when they received my books, they downgraded the ratings without any explanation. Four of my books were marked down from acceptable to "poor condition" and one book's price was reduced from 34 cents to 14 cents. The other prices were all cut in half at least. I was very upset with this, as I had taken great care of my books and they were in like-new condition, except for the highlighting.

I was given the option to either accept their adjustments or pay over $20 to have my books shipped back to me. I felt like I had no choice but to accept their adjustments, as I didn't want to pay that much money to have my books returned. I have no doubt that they will turn around and list the books in "good" condition, which is very dishonest and deceptive.

I understand that BooksRun needs to make a profit, but this is not the way to do it. They should be honest with their customers and not rip them off. I would rather donate my books than support a company that treats its customers this way. I hope that BooksRun will change their ways and start treating their customers with more respect and honesty.

BooksRun Beware of Selling Your Books to BooksRun: A Shady Experience

I gotta say, I don't know much about BooksRun when it comes to buying books, but I reckon they're alright in that department. However, if you're thinking of selling your books to them, I'd advise you to think twice and sell to another company instead. Just like many other folks who've left reviews, I was given a quote for my books, but when it came time to actually sell them, I was offered a lot less. And get this, one of my books was in tip-top shape with no scribbles, no dog-ears, no nothin', but they had the nerve to say it had water damage. The other book had some highlighting, so I marked it as "acceptable," but even then, I still got way less than what I was quoted.

Now, if you don't accept their new offer, they'll supposedly send your books back, but you gotta pay for the shipping. And let me tell you, their customer service is a complete joke. I mean, it's like they don't even care about their customers. If you're thinking of selling your books, do yourself a favor and check out the Better Business Bureau ratings for BooksRun. Trust me, after reading a few complaints, you'll see just how shady this company can be.

But hey, if you're looking for a good company to sell your books to, I'd recommend checking out sellbackyourBook.com. I sold a book to them at the same time as I sold to BooksRun, and I got my full quote with no issues. So, there you have it, folks. My two cents on BooksRun.

BooksRun Disappointed with BooksRun's Lack of Communication and "Collection" Practices

So, I rented a textbook from BooksRun and it was a used book. I sent it back after I was done with it and thought everything was good. But, almost six months later, I was charged the full price of the book. I was confused because I thought I returned it. Apparently, they decided they never received it after all. They didn't even notify me that they didn't get the book and had to "collect" it.

It's frustrating because they waited five months to charge the credit card they had on file. They could have done it at any time. But, instead, they decided to do "collections" without even telling me they never got the book. Now, I have to waste time looking for a receipt from five months ago instead of one from two weeks ago.

It seems like they just want to make a profit off of a used textbook that is about to go out of edition. They get the rental fee, the price of the book, and their "collection" fee. I don't understand why it's called "collection" when they're just charging the credit card they have on file.

Overall, I'm disappointed with my experience with BooksRun. It's frustrating to be charged for something I thought I returned. I hope they can improve their communication with customers in the future.

BooksRun Terrible Website with No Customer Service: A Disaster You Should Avoid

This website is just terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. They don't have much in the way of customer service - just a fake chat that doesn't really help, no phone number to call, and they don't respond to emails. I ordered a book on a Friday night and paid extra for 2-day shipping. They took my order and sent me a receipt that said the book wouldn't arrive for 2 days. I needed the book for a class, so I tried to cancel the order right away. But there was no way to do it on the website. I tried the chatbot, but it didn't work. I sent several emails asking them to cancel the order, but they never responded. Then I got an email saying the book was shipping! I emailed them again, begging them not to ship it, but they did anyway. Finally, I got an email saying I could return the book, but I had to pay for shipping and they would only give me 80% of my money back. No way! Don't waste your time or money on this website. It's a total disaster.

BooksRun Beware of this company: They cheat people and sell books for less than agreed upon!

This company is not good. I sent in a book that was in very good condition, but they said it wasn't and lowered the amount they were going to pay me. I went to their website to say no to the new price, but they accepted it anyway. My order was put on hold, so I went to their chat, but it was no help. I sent an email and called them, and a representative said they would send the book back to me and I would get an email confirmation. But I never got the email. I sent another email and called again. The second representative said they would send it to another department and I would get an email that day. But I never got the email. Later, they told me they already sold my book and sent me a check for less than what we agreed on. This is not okay. They are trying to cheat people. Don't sell your books to this company. I think they are criminals.

BooksRun BooksRun Review: Dishonest and Fraudulent Company Preying on College Students

BooksRun is a website that allows people to sell their used books based on the condition of the book. However, I had a terrible experience with this company. I sent them a book that was in perfectly fine condition, with no highlighting or ripped pages, and only a couple of scuffs on the front cover. But when they received the book, they claimed that it had "heavy damage" and slashed the price quote they had offered me.

I was extremely disappointed with their dishonesty and lack of transparency. They didn't even pay for the shipping to return the book to me, leaving me with no choice but to accept their low offer. It was a frustrating experience, and I felt like I had been scammed by this company.

I would not recommend BooksRun to anyone. They are a fraudulent company that preys on college students who are trying to make some extra money by selling their used books. It's a shame that they are taking advantage of people in this way. I would have been better off giving my books away for free to a local library than dealing with this company.

In conclusion, if you're thinking about selling your used books, I would advise you to stay away from BooksRun. They are not a trustworthy company and will only cause you frustration and disappointment. Don't become a victim of their scheme and don't enable them to make any more money.

BooksRun Frustrating Experience with BooksRun Customer Service and Shipping

I had a bit of a rough experience with BooksRun. I tried to get an updated tracking number for my order, but it took me four calls during business hours to finally reach someone. I was on hold for over an hour and a half on chat, but never got through to anyone. Eventually, I had to call one last time and finally reached someone who could help me. The whole process took two hours, which was frustrating since all I needed was an updated tracking number.

To make matters worse, while I was on hold, the automated message kept telling me that someone would be with me in three minutes and that I was first in the queue. I also sent two emails prior to calling, but never received a response. Needless to say, I wouldn't use BooksRun again.

It's been almost a week since I placed my order and I still haven't received my books. The estimated delivery date is tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm disappointed that I'll be receiving my books late, but what's even more frustrating is that they didn't even give me an updated tracking number. The one they sent me was a reused one, and they just sent me a link to view it on their page. According to the link, my books are still in the pre-transit process with no estimated ETA.

Overall, my experience with BooksRun was less than ideal. While I appreciate that they eventually helped me with my tracking number, the whole process was a headache. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.

BooksRun Disappointing Experience with BooksRun: Fake Book Rejection and High Shipping Costs

I recently sent BooksRun three books, hoping to make a little extra cash. Unfortunately, they deemed all three to be fake or counterfeit books. I was disappointed, but I understand that they have to protect their business. What I didn't understand was why they charged me nearly $20 to get the books back. The total weight of the books was only around 3 lbs, so I was surprised by the high cost.

When the books finally arrived back at my doorstep, I was even more disappointed. They had been sent back via media mail, which only costs $4, and they were packaged in a thin, sticky envelope. To make matters worse, the covers of the books were bent up and they were not in the same condition as when I sent them. It was clear that they had been mishandled during the shipping process.

I tried to contact BooksRun via phone, but I had a difficult time getting through to anyone. When I finally did get through, the person who answered had a heavy foreign accent and was difficult to understand. She said she was transferring me to someone else, but the call was disconnected before I could speak to anyone else. When I called back, the phone went straight to voicemail. It seemed like they were using a VOIP phone, which made it even more difficult to get in touch with them.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with BooksRun. I felt like I was baited into sending them the books because they paid for the shipping, but once they deemed the books fake, I had to pay for the shipping both ways, plus a little something extra for their trouble. It didn't seem like a fair business practice to me. If you're thinking about using BooksRun, I would recommend being cautious and doing your research first.

BooksRun Mixed Experience with BooksRun: Decent Option for Selling Textbooks, But Be Prepared to Haggle

I gotta say, my experience with BooksRun was a bit of a mixed bag. I mean, I sold two textbooks to them and it took forever for me to get my check. And when I finally did, they marked the price down to 8 bucks because of some wear and tear. I didn't agree with that, but I needed the cash so I just let it go.

Later on, I decided to sell another book with them. This one was practically brand new - I only used it for half a semester and kept it in its packaging most of the time. I was really careful with it, you know? So imagine my surprise when BooksRun marked it down to 17 dollars because of "heavy wear". I mean, come on! There was nothing there! They even charged me 9 bucks to send it back if I didn't accept the new offer.

But you know what? Despite all that, I still think BooksRun is a decent option for selling textbooks. I mean, yeah, they might try to lowball you a bit, but that's just business, right? And at least they offer free shipping and a pretty easy-to-use website. Plus, they have a pretty good selection of books to buy, too. So overall, I'd say give BooksRun a shot - just be prepared to haggle a bit.

BooksRun Mixed Experience Selling Textbooks with BooksRun: Weird Pricing Decisions and Long Wait for Payment

I used BooksRun to sell some textbooks and I gotta say, it was a bit of a mixed experience. I sold two books that were worth 25 bucks together, but it took them a long time to send me my check. And when I finally got it, they marked the price down to 8 dollars because they said the books had heavy wear and water damage. I didn't really agree with that, but I didn't have a lot of other options so I just went with it.

Later on in the semester, I decided to sell another book with BooksRun. This one was practically brand new - I had only used it for half the semester because it arrived late. I kept it in its packaging most of the time so I could get a good resell value. I was hoping to get a decent amount of cashback for it, since I had paid 120 bucks for it originally. But after two months, BooksRun marked it down to 17 dollars because of "heavy wear". I was pretty confused, because there was literally nothing wrong with it. I mean, I didn't even carry it in my backpack so it wouldn't get creased!

Anyway, I was pretty annoyed that they marked it down so much, especially since I had taken such good care of it. And to make matters worse, they charged me 9 bucks to have it sent back to me if I rejected the new offer. Ugh. Overall, I guess I would say that BooksRun is okay if you don't have any other options, but be prepared for some weird pricing decisions.

BooksRun BooksRun Review: Lack of Communication and Risky Experience

I gotta say, I had a bit of a rough experience with BooksRun. I mean, I know I messed up with the ISBN and all, but the lack of communication was just plain ridiculous. Apparently, my Web Assign access code was actually supposed to be a book, but instead of letting me know, they just went ahead and claimed that my product was delivered, processed, and paid for. And get this - they only bothered to tell me about it on a Friday, right before they closed for the weekend. Talk about leaving a guy hanging!

So, I had to wait until Monday to get in touch with them, and when I did, they told me that they never actually received the item that I had sent in (which, okay, was my bad for mixing up the ISBNs). But here's the thing - their own tracker said that it had been delivered, processed, and paid for! And now they're telling me that they can't return anything to me at all. I mean, come on - all they had to do was shoot me an email and let me know that the ISBN was wrong. Instead, it feels like they just straight-up took my brand-new, unopened access code. Not cool, man.

Look, if you're thinking about using BooksRun to sell your books or access codes, I'd definitely recommend doing your research and checking out some other options first. There's a lot of risk involved here, and it's just not worth it in my opinion.

BooksRun Customer service

I am email a service rep to help me figure out how to get a return label to return my book. We have been email over multiple weeks and still has not helped me get a return label. Now I am being charged for over due and saying that I can only return the book for 80% money back. So I ask how to get the return label still and they still aren’t answering that question.

Desired outcome: I want a return label so I can send back the book and a refund on late charge and the charge of the price of the book that I have been forced to buy

BooksRun payment not received

I sold books to them and they were received on 5/18/2023. I chatted on Wednesday and was told my payment would be sent to my PayPal either that day or on Thursday. Never received it. So, I chatted again on Thursday, and was told that I would receive the payment either later that day or on Friday. I only received a payment from books I sold AFTER the first delivery. I received payment for order # 3569690, those books were delivered to them on 05/22/2023. The book I have NOT received payment on is order # 3558470, which they received on 05/18/23. I attempted to chat again today, my estimated wait time was 2 minutes, I have sat on hold for over an hour.

Desired outcome: I want my payment for my books.

BooksRun Holding my book hostage

I sent them a college book that I was to sell to them that was in excellent condition and average price was about $40-$70 online. They claim it is worth $1. They uploaded a photo of one sticker from the bookstore at Montana State where I bought it, on the BACK of a hardcover book. They want me to pay them to mail it back to me or they'll destroy the book in 3 days if I don't accept the $1 offer- after I paid $9 already to mail the book to them! HOW SHADY OF A BUSINESS PRACTICE!

Desired outcome: I want them to either mail my book back to me at THEIR expense, or give me a FAIR MARKET VALUE.
