Clear rate communications is the worst company ever!... They have very poor managment and do not listen to thier customers at all.. They just want their money and keep you as a customer even though your disatisifed with the service. When asking for a manager you are always told they are not available, im sorry but when I call and get bad service and want to speak with a supervisor I dont mean a call back, I want to speak with a supervisor now when im on the phone with you... I feel bad for all the employees that work for clear rate communications because working for kaldians must be a very hard thing to do.. Again all they care about is thier money! I would never ever in my life trust this company at all.. Their phone service sucks.. When you have issues they blow you off and tell you that it will be like a week before someone can service you.. Wtf is that... Clear rate communications is the biggest scam also.. They target old people then tell them they cant switch away without paying a penalty... I hope the go down with their poor service.. They really do not know how to run a phone company properly...

I would like to take clear rate communications to court, for loss of business and contact channel seven or what ever else i can do with in my power. I had a business line with them for 5 years and have loyal customers who called the line dailey, tons of advertisments invested with my number and they disconnected my service after i moved to a new location as if that isnt hard enough my parents are in the same boat as i am. I would not want anyone else who owns a business or ven a land line to go through this stress misfortune, If there is anyone else out there who wants to take them to court please contact me, I have spoke with my attorney's and they siad it would be easier to take them to court if it was a class action law suit. I wish I would have known about this site before signing on w/Clear Rate. The other day friends began telling me that when they called me the phone would ring once and then static and die. I was not able to receive calls, but could place outgoing calls including long distance. I called Clear Rate and they told me it must be an inhome inline problem. However, if I was able to make outgoing calls, caller ID still worked, it couldn't be my inline problem. They told me to unplug phone for 30 minutes and it should be fine. Instead of "resetting" my phone now rings busy - I can't make or place calls.
Now when calling, Clear Rate said they won't check to see if it's a network problem. Told me to go out to the box outside of my home myself and check. I have no idea about these boxes and there are warning about being "shocked" or penalized by "authorities" for tampering with the box. Clear Rate says for $100 they'll come out and check.
This is the 3rd time in 3 months something similiar has happened. I went one time 2 weeks without incoming service, but could place outgoing service. Now I am the fool for not cancelling then.
It has been 3 days now and I can't get them to respond. At least last time I could make the call in the event of an emergency. Now nothing!
How does the FCC allow Clear Rate Communications to continue to conduct business? They misrepresent their company and force their services on people without permission. I was contacted by one of their agents who stated that this company was taking over services for my present phone company and I needed to sign up with them. I explained that I wanted to look into other options and would contact them. Without my permission, they had switched my phone service to Clear Rate and mailed me out a bill for their services. I never used Clear Rate; rather contacted my phone service I had before and had service restored. Clear Rate then contacted a collection agency when I did not pay their outrageous bill and gave a negative report to the Credit Bereau.
Every one who have had negative association with this underhanded company should file a complaint with the FCC. With enough complaints, hopefully, action will be taken to discredit this company.
They are so rude! I hate this company.
They won't let you tell them you no longer want their service when you are the paying customer! Send bill and say it was you job to make sure the new company contacts them!
