My husband recently passed and I wish to disconnect phone service. Company will not respond to phone calls. Have been trying for over a week to disconnect service. The bill is way more than I can afford now on my income. I have tried several times to reach someone but received no response. My husband passed on Aug 21 and since that date have called the number [protected] over and over. Recording states all representatives busy. Leave number and short message and someone will get back. No one has. No numbers listed have worked.
Desired outcome: want phone service discontinued.

It’s incredibly frustrating that Clear Rate Communications hasn’t responded to your calls, especially given the sensitive nature of your situation. After the loss of your husband, you shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of stress, particularly when trying to manage your finances. It’s unacceptable that they haven’t gotten back to you after repeated attempts.
Since you’ve been unable to reach them by phone, it might be worth trying other avenues like social media, email, or even sending a certified letter to ensure your request to disconnect the service gets through. If they continue to ignore your requests, you may want to escalate the situation by filing a formal complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
