Refund of $322.00
I visited the Coast Dental office on 12/12/2022. I was told that I had a $5.00 copay for the visit. When I went to pay it they told me that they would just take it out of the credit on my account. I had no idea that I had a credit, so I asked what credit and how much is it. She said it is $327.00, and that it was an overpayment from over a year ago. She said the balance will be $322.00 after the $5.00 copay and printed me my receipt showing my credit balance. I asked the lady for a refund, who said it would take forever to process, and she said that I had to talk to the office manager about it. So I went to the front office and I formally asked the office manager to please process my refund. She again reiterated that it would take forever, and she had to audit it first before she could send it to corporate. I said that is okay, how long will it take you to audit and send it up to corporate. She told me she would be done with it Friday, 12/16/2022, and would forward it to corporate.
It has been 5 months now and I have called the local and corporate Coast Dental phone numbers to no avail. I have left message after message and nobody calls me back. Nobody ever answers the phone.
Desired outcome: A complete refund of my money.
Improper placement of crowns (top) and temporaries (bottom)
In 2017, I became a patient at Coast Dental. My routine cleanings by the hygentist were always top-notch! Unfortunately, with the cleanings it was suggested I needed to have all of my 28 teeth crowned! So beginning in late 2019 that work was started. Due to Covid, my top teeth were not completed until Jan. 2021! Then the dentist left the area for about a...

Subject: Billing for Services and Goods Not Rendered
In April 2022, after several consultations with the dentist at CoastDental, I agreed to purchase their clear aligners. I paid $2,500 upfront and was told that I would be contacted once the aligned arrived. I contacted CoastDental a few weeks later to enquire about the status of the aligners and was told by the office manager there were delays due to supply chain issues. I followed up repeatedly through June 2022, July 2022, and August 2022 via phone and in-person at their Deltona, FL office location. Their medical call service is offsite and were unable to provide an update on the status of my aligners orders. No office personnel could provide the status of the aligners, or a reason why they had not arrived. In January 2023, I had a dental cleaning appointment and inquired about the status of the aligners once again. The new office manager was unable to provide a status update, but remarked that it was not normal for aligners to take this longer. When I inquired about a refund, I was told it needed to be escalated to the district manager.
I followed up on February 7th, February `4th, February 20th, and February 24th on the status of my refund, but no update has been provided. CoastDental has failed to deliver the goods and services agreed upon in April 2022, and to date, they’ve made no attempt to rectify the situation.
Desired outcome: refund of 2,500.
Dentures
I had my new dentures made by Dr Ike at
the Marietta Trade Center location. From
day one the dentures were too big falling
out my mouth the hygentist was aware as
well. I told her to align the dentures she
gave me a tube of adhesive that still
wouldn't make the teeth stay in 2 weeks I
went back still not able to wear them. This
time she tells me I have to pay $180 to
align the teeth. I spoke with the fake office
manager who was going to speak with the
real manager when she returned it's been
another two weeks still no help. I will seek
and attorney if I need to I want what I paid
for to be fix correctly. Coast Dental. I return the damage dentures. I do not owe you. I have been treated so badly by Coadt Dental staff.
Desired outcome: Remove the charges I do not owe you for damaged dentures made incorrect by the illegal dentists
I also returned the dentures to that office in 10/2022.
not able to contact office
I have been calling the Red Bug Lake Rd clinic. Goes to voice mail, then cant leave a message because its full. Have called the appointment line for 3 days and have escalated the importance, because they are delaying patient care by not providing the dental clearance needed for radiation treatments. Every number that I called, even corporate office number goes to appointment line. What is going on with Coast dental?

On 4/25/2022, I purchased clear aligners. On various occasion I inquired about status of my purchase and was not given a clear answer. On 1/13/2023 I requested another update and still I was not given a clear answer. I requested a contact number and name so I could inquire. Unfortunately I was not given a satisfactory answer, At this point I am requesting a full refund of 2,500.00 that I paid in good faith.
Desired outcome: I'm requesting a full refund of 2500.00
Appointment
I (Colleen, Nurse navigator for Onc RAD for Adventhealth Deland) called on 1/30/2023 at 1400 to make an appointment for a dental clearance, for a patient of ours that has head and neck cancer, an appointment was set up for 2/3/2023 at 330. The patient was called at 2/2/2023 at 2:30PM to inform him that they have no doctor at their facility, that the doctor had moved to Texas. We have now wasted 1 week and a delay in this patient care for chemo and radiation treatment because whoever made this appointment was careless in their job and obviously doesn't care of patient's welfare.
Desired outcome: Need to get an appointment ASAP into another facility
Teeth cleaning
I went in and had my teeth cleaned January 5th, 2023. I was charge 645.00 just to get my teeth cleaned. When I asked the hygienist why I was being charge so much she assured me I was getting the coast dental price. I ended up paying but reached out to the billing department as soon as got home and was told the price was so high because I had my teeth deep...

In May of 2022, I was fitted for a crown by a dentist who then left the Coast Dental office in Boynton Beach, FL. In August the crown was placed (put in) by another dentist (same office). Three and a half months later (December 2nd), the crown came out while I was eating eggs (of all things) and I swallowed it. I didn't realize it was missing until I felt a difference in my mouth. I immediately called and made an appointment. On the day of the appointment, the dentist who put in the crown said that it could be fixed with no problem and it wasn't my fault. After leaving me in the room for 25 minutes, she returned to tell me that I'd be charged for a new crown. I was quite upset by this as I was still paying off the crown from before. I started crying and she told me to take it up with the front desk. The district area supervisor happened to be there when I was there. I informed her that I have a crown on the other side of my mouth that I've never had a problem with done 18 years ago (in another practice). The crown they put in my mouth had been in less than four months and came out. They should guarantee their work for at least longer than that. The supervisor told me I was "too emotional". Refusing to speak to me any further, she walked away and shut the door in my face. I've called corporate a few times but they continue to give me the runaround.
Desired outcome: I'd like for a new crown to be put in without me paying for their mistake. I have no problem paying for the first crown if they guaranteed their work, but I shouldn't pay double the amount for their mistake.
Dental Care/ Insurance
I received a bill today when scheduled for a visit for previous visits.
They are saying you do not except the insurance and never have. When seen for previous visits – I provided all insurance information as well as received a document from you stating everything was covered for all cost by insurance. I signed this document stating I was responsible for $0.00.
Due to error on YOUR end, you are now stating we owe for services performed. However, I SIGNED A DOCUMENT STATING I WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING.
Refund of overpayment
I have an overpayment , of $596.00 to coast dental and they are refusing to send the balance. I have not used them in several years now. The office manager laughed when I requested the return. I followed up with letters , but still not response. Complete unprofessional organization. I stopped using them because of the constant upselling of products and services from the dentists and hygienist.
Desired outcome: Refund and I would like an apology

Rude employees
I have been having an abscess in my mouth for months. They could not give me and emergency appointment for months. Finally I get in and ask for pain medication to take home since they have to ask insurance company before they could pull my tooth. The lady their said with all those tattoos you don’t need pain medicine and proceeded to give me ibuprofen which was ok but the comment really was inappropriate. I then said something smart back because her comment was unnecessary and was joking about me looking like a drug addict. They dismissed me and my children from being patients and the lady got in my face. This was on September 8th.
Desired outcome: I want to go to a different coast dentist where you don’t have ghetto employees
Front Tooth crown badly made and seated. I'm experiencing tooth sensitivity.
It all began on June 28, 2022, when I went to the Coast Dental, Douglasville, GA office to have a permanent crown seated on my front tooth. That day was the last day that the Douglasville office was open. The office was permanently/temporarily closed from the following day, June 29, 2022.
the dentist had a difficult time fitting the tooth and finally proceeded to file my bottom tooth so that I could have a good bite. He continued filing the back of the crown also and left me with a bump at the back of the crown. He further instructed me to refrain from eating for the next few hours. later that evening I drank liquids and immediately felt a sensation from that tooth, which has been haunting me since. From that time until now I can feel hot or cold in that which is causing great discomfort. When I had the temporary crown, there was absolutely no problem. Please note that the back of the crown is not under my gum-line and my fingernail can get between my tooth and the crown. A very poor job was done.
I have made several, several, telephone calls to Coast dental and related the problem numerous times. Someone called me back and told me that they will escalate the matter to cooperate and would get back in touch with me, but she never did. I was sent to the Marietta office and that office wasn't aware that the crown was to be remade. They proceeded to treat me as a new patient and wanted to bill my insurance and of course, I must pay a second time. When I explained what the problem was, they told me that they were not told that it was a crown remake at that they were unable to help me, and that I should contact the main office. Since that time in early July 2022, I have been trying to get this crown redone or have a full refund, but to no avail.
Each time I called, I was told that it was scheduling. Each time I explained the problem, I was told that they were sorry and would escalate my problem to Cooperate Office in Tampa, Florida or they simply hung up the telephone. I again called today and am waiting for Cooperate Office to contact me.
Where do I go from here? I would like to have a full refund and an explanation as to why they are holding my money and would not complete the job.
This is not my first encounter with Coast Dental and I am again disappointed with the customer service they provide.
Although I had a zero balance on my account, I received a bill today, August 7, 2022, with a balance of $19.00. Can someone explain to me how I went from a zero balance to a $19.00 balance? This will be contested because I paid my balance in full.
Now I will have to find another dentist to redo the job at Coast dental expense. I am not paying for an incomplete and horrible job.
Here's my contact information:

Desired outcome: 1. I am requesting a full refund immediately so that I can find a reputable dentist or dental office.2. I would like to speak with someone from the corporate Office to provide more details.
service/billing
I went to dentist on august 4th they gave me price sheet I signed, then after checking my teeth, they changed price sheet, and brought another one, which i signed for, price was around $100 for cleaning. Then after the cleaning, they told me like 260 or 280 once it was already done. The mistake was made by the employee, they were on someone elses insurance instead of mine when they gave me the estimate that I signed and agreed too. I do not feel that I should have to pay the higher amount when it was your companies mistake. Please advise if this can be resolved. My name is Jaime Austin- 04/17/1987. They ended up putting me on some pay plan thing, but the point is, I should not have to pay when it was a mistake on your part. my email is [protected]@aol.com and phone is [protected]. I would have declined the special cleaning if I had known the correct price. The office is not wanting to help me. It was the St cloud office in Florida.
Desired outcome: I believe the dental office should have to write off the difference since it was their mistake
Dental
July 18, 2022
1- Used restroom before my appt, I let an employee know that there was no soap but apparently nothing was done because I used the bathroom again before I left and it there was still no soap. It is concerning that when the assistants, hygienists and dentist use the bathroom, they don't properly wash their hands with soap.
2- I received a treatment plan that was fully covered by my insurance company. I was referred to a specialist for additional work such as implants and root canal which came to their location, I scheduled the appoint.
August 8, 2022
1- Used the bathroom when I got there, no soap again.
2- The assistant called that brought me back need to do additional ex-rays, she proceed use the gloves she already had on after handling multiple things both in the room I was in and the room adjacent to mine. I asked her to change her gloves and she insisted that she just put them on. She proceed to tell me that it isn't even recommended that they use gloves when doing ex-rays.
3- I was informed that I needed to pay a $103 consultation fee before the dentist would see me. Although I was blindsided by this because I was told that my insurance paid for all of the treatment, I agreed.
3- The dentist I barely have words for. She used a freeze spray on a cotton sway and just stuck it into hole in my tooth. No warning, no conversation. The pain was beyond excruciating. I had broken off a part of a tooth and the nerve is not only exposed but infected, I'm sure she was able to see that just by looking at the ex-rays, if not, she's in the wrong field. After the fact, she told me she did it to see if it hurts. Of course it hurts, beyond words. Sticking something frozen into an open would with a nerve exposed will hurt, how does she not already know this? I wonder how much she charged the insurance company for that trick?
4- She came back with another estimate for the root canal in the tooth that she just traumatized. She wanted to charge approx $800 in addition to what my insurance covers, which is actually 100% for a root canal. She tried to convince me that it would cost approx $400 to flush the canal out with an antibiotic solution and another $300 - $400 to do gum surgery around the tooth because of the way the gum is growing near the tooth. Most teeth that need a root canal is because of an infection, that is the point of a root canal. Charge a a fee to flush out infection is a con. I have assisted in many root canals and have a pretty good understanding of the procedure. My insurance company pays 100% for root canals which is a procedure to remove an infected nerve which should include flushing out the canal once the nerve is removed. As far as the gum, it is swollen. I do not know if once the swelling goes down whether surgery will be required but it should have been in the least considered. Also, that procedure should not be part of a root canal as it is a completely different procedure and probably covered my insurance company as such.
5- The dentist that I had the 8/10 appt does NOT do implants. This is specifically what I made this appointment for. When I spoke with the person that was discussing my treatment plan with, they confirmed that this dentist does implants, I already knew that I need an implant. I even asked if they had the tools that are need for the procedure and the person assured me that they did. This appointment was useless. Basically they wanted to charge me $103 consultation to tell me what I already knew, I need a root canal and a implant.
6- After my first appointment I tried to contact the office directly over a dozen time to schedule an appointment for a crown. Over 2 1/2 weeks not one person answered the phone at the Carrollwood location. I left message but no one returned my call. The call center is useless, I believed they are based out of somewhere in Asia. There is no way to contact the corporate office to speak with someone.
7- I left there with an infected painful tooth for the second time. No antibiotic, no treatment.
8- The tools that they unpackaged were filthy. I understand that these tools are sanitized but they had stains and it looked like debris was stuck on them. I mentioned it to the dentist and she asked the assistant to bring her another explorer.
Desired outcome: 1- Provide soap in the bathroom2- Counsel employees with hygiene requirements 3- Don't charge patients for things that should already be part of the procedure.4- Contact me.
Bill 5 months after everything was paid in full
Hello I went to Coast Dental on 10/25/2021 to see about getting a bite guard to wear at night. I have a normal dentist and my sister works for a Periodontist that I see every 4 months. BUT Coast Dental was a preferred place on my Dental Insurance, and would cover more of the cost. They said I had to have this xray an this xray, and a full exam before they could give me a price for bite guard. I said I did not need all that in fact I had an appointment t my Regular Dentist (which is almost across the street) late that week on a Thursday. They called the insurance company while I sat there and waited for them to check the coverage and they told me it would only cost me $23 for this one panoramic xray. I asked if they would be able to send the xrays to my Dentist and Periodontist (as I knew insurance would not pay for e=ray again in aa fee dayas) They said yes no problem they could send them right over. I finale said ok and used my Blue Cross Blue Shield Visa card to pay the $23.00 They then took me did the xrays and sat me in a chair in a patient room. DR came in looked at my teeth in my mouth (he was not in the room for even 5 minutes). They gave me the price and said insurance would only cover part of it---that was not what insurance told me. So the finical lady in the office was going to check with the insurance company on the coverage and let me know. I went to my dentist and NO xrays--I called the office said oh we will send them. A week later nothing, called and they said oh you need to come sign a release form. Never said that when I was in the office or when I called from my dentist office. They did finally send the xrays--BUT after that I decided to use someone else and never went back.
Then in April of 2022 they started sending me ills for $63.00. I called the office [protected] and left voice messages 15 different days and NEVER got a returned call. I did get a live person and she told me I owed it an if did not pay they would turn it over to collections. On May 17th I talked to someone at the main office in customer service [protected] and he was very nice and said he would pass it to the billing section, and they would contact me and get it cleared up, he understood they quoted me a price, and then 5 months later billed me for more. NEVER got a call. I have called the billing section 3 more times after that and still NO call back.
They gave me the price, they told me what insurance WOULD NOT cover and what it would cost me, I paid it. If they made a mistake so be it but I do not feel I owe it. They now are turning it over to a collection agency. My credit score is 830, and I can pay the $63 dollars and not go hungry, but what about people that could not. It is not right
Desired outcome: Drop the bill and make sure it is not on my credit
Periodontal and gingival irrigation. I never had this done but they are billing me every month for the last nine months.
Account number: [protected]. Periodontal scaling dated 10/11/2021. I did not have these services done by Dr. Chumpitaz. This has been going on for over nine months. I have called them quite a few times and even delivered a letter telling them they never rendered these services. The only encounter with Dr. Chumpitaz was for a routine exam and x-rays. This was done and paid for. They billed me and my insurance company for Periodontal scaling and gingival irrigation which was never performed. I have contacted their corporate offices a few times and they said they will take care of it but never did.
Desired outcome: Please get the billing department to stop sending bills and past due notices to me and tell me they will send a collection agency after me. I talked to the collection agency and explained what happened.
Charged for services not provided.
Date of service 10/06/2021
I was charged for services upfront and not provided to me, basically it’s the same scenario, they charge upfront for services and when the services are not provided they refuse to refund. When you call the call center it’s the same thing each time which is “We will start an escalation and someone will contact you” NO ONE ever does! This is frustrating and wrong on a consumer level in so many ways!
Desired outcome: Refund
My son's dentures
Coast dental in Fruitcove FL
The biggest mistake was they made impressions right after they pulled all his teeth. They should have waited for his mouth to heal first. They said they were probably going to have to make a different set what they didn't say was that I would have to pay out of pocket for them. Why would a professional dentist let someone leave thier office with useless dentures. Just one more way for them to make more money. So now I have a very depressed 23 year old son who can't afford new dentures. As a parent I am so upset.

Same here I've been lied to constantly by the Peachtree City, Georgia office staff ane they will not return phone calls about a 5 week wait for a crown that hasn't even started. You cant trust these people.
