Customer service representative. Amanda at extension #7076947
Amanda was extremely rude. She repeatedly interrupted me while claiming that I kept interrupting her. She was in no way helpful in resolving the situation. I am attempting to pay up my account and asking for help to do so. Her reaction and behavior was detrimental to the process. I find myself in a position to make a complaint and contact her manager rather than spending my time and energy paying my account up to date. I find thjs especially distressing as I have not ever complained about an employee befote. I have left a message for her boss at extension #7076802. I hope that this matter can be dealt with.

Refund never received
I opened a Wayfair account in March of 2018. I bought an ottoman for $120.00. When it arrived at my house I discovered it did not go with my decor. I sent it back the very next day. It is now July of 2018 and I have not received credit for the $120.00. I have requested the credit several time. I am now closing the account.
This company is very untrustworthy.
Hello I paid off my gander mountain card in full now my credit is shot due to them turning me into collections for a false balance
Comenity bank gander mountain card turned me into collections for a false balance that I didn't owe. I actually owed them 0 on balance. My credit gone. I want even this is bs. And capital returned a payment that was my minimum pay I paid forever that I always paid 10 or 20 more than minimum and turned collections without contacting me my payment return. I never used the card because I wanted it paid down. So bad credit
Jewelry television preferred credit card
Hi my name is Yvonne Gilmore several weeks ago I tried to attempt reinstate my preferred card. My account # ending 0336, they told me because my account was enrolled in a hardship program and since that happen they could never reopen my account. I don't understand because Comenity Bank has allowed me to have several accounts sponsor by them. I have a HSN account, I have a Overstock, and others which I pay on time every month and never missed a payment. This sadden me because I felt like a second class citizen. Anyone can have a hardship and they shouldn't be punished for the rest of their lives. I would like to know was I that bad as a customer for JTV. I do remember I paid off one account Bill Me Later you didn't have no problem taking the money. I would appreciate if you send me an answer as to why you couldn't allow me to have a JTV.
Rollover payment
Hey I just wanted to voice my opinion about roll over payments. I made a payment when opening the Wayfair credit card in November knowing what Decembers payment was going to be however I received a phone call stating that the payment was over due and had to speak to a supervisor to get it waived. This was absolutely a terrible experience and Wayfair has lost me as a customer just because of the way you guys handled the situation when I make a payment online it should state that a payment is not needed to be made and that it will not roll over to the next month if this is what the situation may be.
Bed bath and beyond mastercard
They approved me for a Bed Bath and Beyond credit card. They sent me the credit card. I activated the credit card. When I tried to make a small purchase it was declined. I called and they said they did an audit and said I had one to many credit inquiries. I didn't receive a letter saying they we going to close the card. No big deal I have better credit cards. I just find it weird that they approve you for a card then close it a few days later. Stay away from all Comenity bank products. They are a scam. Stay away from the following credit cards that are issued by Comenity; Pier 1 Imports, Big Lots, Victoria Secret, Ambercrombie & Fitch, Toyota Rewards, Bed Bath and Beyond, and more.

ATTN : I was alerted by Life Lock on 7/24/17 that a account was opened in my name by CCB/PAY PAL. I called the Bank to let them know it was not me. I called the Credit Bureau (3) to report this and put alerts on my credit. They have my SS no. also. This is Fraud! When I called the Bank (Comenity Capital/PPL) they would not give me any information. Life Lock was on the line at the same time. I have filed a police report 7/28.2017. The Bank ask for my e mail and address and it did not match what they had. This is all the information I have.

Credit card
My Overstock credit card with Comenity is late every month because I don't remember to log on and manually pay it every time like it's year 1990. Everything else in my life is set up on automatic payments and it is a standard for this day and age. I have excellent credit and have everything set up for automatic payments so nothing is ever late. I emailed Comenity and said I wanted to set up automatic payments and the response was that Comenity doesn't offer that. The experience has been horrible so far. I have two late charges on my account now for $37/each and they refuse to refund them. Comenity set up the business to knowingly disadvantage and inconvenience the consumer so they can rake in the fees. THIS IS 2017 AND YOU DON'T HAVE AN OPTION FOR AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS? AND YOU'RE A BANK FOR THE LARGEST RETAIL BRANDS?! THIS IS EXTORTION AND GOUGING AT ITS BEST.
No stmts then cgs late fees/personal info given to offsite vendors
I was one of the unfortunate people that had their identity stolen in the Home depot data breach. Since then, identity theft has plagued me often and I have learned to never, ever pay a bill without reviewing it.
Comenity bank had sent me three statements in a year and half. I switched to e-bill, and my bank confirmed that they were not receiving the electronic statements on a timely basis either. I had been calling Comenity monthly at this time explaining that I had not received my statement ( again). It had been going on for 11 months and it was getting old. Each time, they promised they would send one and each month, like clockwork. I did not get one and they hit me with a late fee. They used every excuse in the book, even saying the post office must not be delivering them because "They mailed it." ( Sure..you remember each and every statement you mail to your "valued" customers, eh, Comenity?)
Finally, a letter arrived from a collection agency working for Comenity. I started getting harassing phone calls from a landline in Ohio that traced to an individual by the name of Clemmeshya Owens . My best guess is that Comenity outsources their collection calls to vendors, who make the calls out of their own home. Keep in mind folks..that all your personal information is possibly being kept in someone's home, that could be broken into and your personal and financial data stolen. Or at the least, be used as discussion at a Friday night party, or even just have coffee spilled on it. The possibilities are endless. Let your imagination run wild. They robo -called up to 15 times a day, starting at 7:30 in the morning, calling me at work, and called late into the evening until 9:30 or 10:00 pm at night. If you called the number back, no one answered. There was no menu to get to get anyone. And the calls kept coming.
Since there was no way at this point to identity the call, and I had to be careful due to the identity theft from the Home depot scam, I ignored the robo-calls. By law, robo-calls are a violation of the fair credit act. I really didn't know if this Clemmeshya and I would hit it off like old friends anyway, or if it would be like making a call to that relative we really don't like. A month later, another number started robo- calling me, this one from Colorado. Same story.. landline registered to an individual, robo-calls harassing me up to 15 times a day, no menus, no person on the other line if you returned the call and long distance charges if you did. Are they seriously too cheap to have an 800 number? Or were they just trying to introduce me to new friends?
I digress. They have one job. Send out statements and post the payments. I am the customer, they, not I, are responsible for mailing out the bills. My job, is to review them for accuracy and then pay them. I have a life. I am busy. And I expect service in the form of a monthly statement over having to chase them down like irresponsible juveniles to remind them a chore was due to be done. Its not like I was asking them to mow my damn lawn. I have choices, and it doesn't have to be them.
Now for the Jerry Springer-ish ending to this story: I finally ran a credit report and found that Comenity had turned me over to collection agency number one in Ohio, which caused Clemmeysha to start robo-calling. The actual bill with Comenity was $325.00, Collection agency number one showed the debt was $900.00. Two months of robo-calls later, Collection agency number two got into the fray, and turned me over to collections listing $1100.00 in total debt...Three companies trying to collect for one 300.00 bill. And to make them happy, they want me to shell out a total of 2300.00 to clear my credit report. Not going to happen.
I filed a report with the FCC asking that all late charges be removed, the credit reports be corrected, and that they send a statement as per law each and every month. I requested no contact per phone. I requested credit monitoring since they have given my personal information to two off site collection vendors where my personal information was most likely not secured. I have a medical condition that requires me to take meds and get adequate rest, as recovery time during during attacks is aided by being able to sleep . This medical condition is covered by FMLA and ADA and these ###s robo-calling me are affecting my health. In fact, They have failed to do anything but continue to harass, nor have they responded to my complaint in writing as requested. They have this "Trust-us-you-owe-this-much-statements-are-not-necessary" attitude. They can't even get their act together to send a statement. Wonder if it would help if I sent them some reams of paper to help defray the cost of printing statements?
This week, they started calling my private, unlisted landline non-stop from ( as of now) five different phone numbers and three different area codes. How they got the number I don't know, but I did discover something. You can have all calls blocked except certain ones from your landlines and it cost zero dollars. Save yourself from paying the unlisted phone number fee. Trust me, it doesn't work.
Do yourself a favor...DO NOT DO BUSINESS with Comenity Bank. Ever. Since I cannot get satisfaction from that company to do business in an ethical and fair manner, I will take every opportunity to warn any consumers that might be considering doing business with these buffoons. Its pretty hilarious that they are in such dire financial straights that they will turn a $300.00 bill over to collections so quickly, knowing they were not sending statements, and then pursue aggressive collections against it. They could have sent a thousand statements out for the cost of the wages they are spending trying to collect a measly $300.00. Its pitiful but funny as hell, and every get together I share the story, it never fails to cause obscene amounts of laughter. I could write a comedy routine based on their business practices alone.
Life is simple. You reap what you sow. And if you sow dochebaggery, ye shall reap [censored]baggery. Victim I may be to Comenity's unethical business practices, but I have hella funny, never ending updates to share with a rapidly growing audience.
Letter requesting to open a paypal credit account
Today I received a letter in the mail indicating that my husband's first deceased wife had recently requested to open a PayPal Credit account. I don't know how that is possible since she has been six feet under the past 10 years. I understand that she had once had a serious spending habit and maxed out most of the credit cards but I'm pretty sure Amazon doesn't deliver to her current address. How does this happen. Anything I need to do at this point to assure this does not happen? The letter indicated that her request was denied but what's to say somewhere along the line it is approved in the future.

Ripoff bank
I opened accounts with Comenity Bank beginning in July of this year. I received a total of 30 credit cards with this bank and had so many cards they gave me, I had to close around 10 of them on my own. For whatever reason, every time I applied for a card, it would go to their “fraud” department.
I was required to answer 3 simple questions from public record and they would almost always approve me. I used maybe 10 or so cards giving this back at the very least 3, 000 dollars always paying on time and always paying at least the minimum payment. I applied for a Game Stop card, and that’s when the fun begins. I got a very nasty, sarcastic and disrespectful supervisor who didn’t do a thing for me when I told her when I call and I correctly answer your 3 questions to verify it is in fact myself who applied, then got declined anyway. I had asked for a supervisor who IMO thought could get me approved anyway she did absolutely nothing for me at all. I yelled at her not screaming or cursing at her mind you, just raising my voice, and after I was done, she goes, “that’s ok, I’ll fix your a*s”. A couple of days later, ALL 30 of my accounts were closed. They “claim” they needed to verify that I was, in fact, the one who applied for the cards. They advised me to send them a copy of my drivers license, social security card and utility bill.
I did this immediately priority mail. They received it according to the USPS records and I heard nothing back from them. I kept calling them to see what happened to the paperwork and all they could do was humor me. I finally got a very nice supervisor on the phone who re-opened my accounts, But they only stayed opened for about a couple of days, then they were all closed again. About 3 weeks go by, again nothing, so I re-send the paperwork again priority mail (were going over ten dollars just in mail) FINALLY almost 2 months go by, they tell me the address I sent the paperwork to is only their mailing address and they forward the paperwork to the correct address. Finally after almost 2 months, I called them and they told me they tried calling me (which they never did, caller ID doesn’t lie) and tried to contact the electric company and they couldn’t verify my information.
When I called the electric company they immediately verified I had an account and it was in good standing never late once in the 2 years I had service with them. Next thing I know, I get 20 letters that my accounts are being permanently closed because of “security issues” despite I have already proven time and again to them I am indeed who I say I am not only verifying this in the initial application process, but also sending them copies of my drivers license, social security card and utility bills. I was so proud of these cards, used them properly doing the right thing paying them on time and STILLED got screwed. You know, sometimes you wonder if doing the “right” thing is the right thing. I always thought you were suppose to have a relationship with you bank, but in this case, it is the bank who screwed me! To add insult to injury, I have to pay these #s back, otherwise they will really screw me!
DO NOT USE Comenity Bank! They also charge 26% APR, but I didn’t care because in the beginning I thought they were the best bank in the country. The bank is garbage, the people who work there are garbage and worse than that they use a PO box for all their correspondence and have no street address. Just remember every single card I have with them is being treated with responsibility and maturity
Some one is using my address to try to open an account on 7/24/14
I received a letter in the mail yesterday with with the name Danish Khan with my address. Don`t know this person. the letter said this person was trying to make a purchase or open an account. There was no phone # on. the letter
Have no idea how they've got my card details
I recently found out that the company Comenity Card Pay charged my account for $25. They did it without my authorization and warning me. I haven’t used the services from this company. Also the company didn’t provide the contact information, so I have no idea how to track them. They are liars and scammers, and I want to find other deceived customers, who...

I recently found the website of the company Comenity Pay SB Web. They provided free apps, but also apps for charge. But I downloaded only free apps, but after that I noticed two withdrawals from my account. This company charged me for free apps, and they took about $30 in total. So be careful if you use this website or leave comments if you had horrible experience with this company.
I did not authorize a charge on my bank account for $30.00 paid to “Comenitycard pay check payment” on 12-27-2022! How do I get my money back & cancel any further charges?
Attempting to charge me $43 as we speak for downloading free apps which I uninstalled shortly after when they turned out to be junk. I'm going through a divorce and don't have the extra cash for this BS
This is the thrid time that this company has deducted $35.00 from my bank account. I want them to cease and desist. Causing me all kind of trouble. How can I stop them from taking money out of my account without my authorization? Please help me.
Harassment and lack of information
I have been receiving harassing phone calls from a Mr Mosley from Comenity Bank stating that a troubling issues has come across his desk and in order for there not to be legal action I must contact him before end of day. I called and Mr personality was rude and ignorant and refused to explain to me how he got my name and number, what company he was calling...

I have been a loyal customer of JCrew my entire adult life and have turned on many other friends and family to the brand over the years. I have the highest credit score you can get overall, and always pay my entire balance every month. I also make purchases almost monthly.in March 2012, my laptop and luggage was stolen while on a trip on top of a very busy work month, and I missed my JCrew payment by a few days. I immediately paid the balance and asked for late-fee forgiveness, which I was granted.
I am now having marital problems, and my husband and I are separated, causing mayhem in my home and problems with my daughter. I missed the October payment by a few days due to reasonable preoccupations, and was again charged the $25. I paid the balance, then contacted the new credit servicer, Comenity, and requested they credit the charge, explaining my issues, and my history as a customer. They refuse to do it, citing that I was already given a credit in March. Well, I say “so what.” Late fees are for people who abuse credit– I am obviously NOT one of those people, and should be given a break due to my continuous loyalty, regular spending, excellent credit history, etc. However, Comenity are a bunch of inhuman robots, who cannot show a little understanding and compassion, and would rather risk losing a lifelong customer for JCrew than credit a paltry $25.
quit using them.
I cannot logon to Comenity Bank to pay my Peebles credit card. This has been going on for weeks. An error box tells me over and over that my account is closed, or information not found.
Their "Easy Pay" does not work either.
They charged me $57.00 in late fees and the Supervisor Called me a liar. I told him I was charged $20.00
late fee and $2.00 interest she waved the late fee of $20.00 and I paid the $32.90. Then I was charged $35.00 late fee. Cancel any credit card you have with them plenty of honest companies!
payments sent by my bank for auto payment sent down to a PO box for you to receive on the 6th of the month the check is not cashed to the 12 th of the month and posted on the 12th so you could charge a late payment.
Took money from my account. I have no idea who they are. I want my money refunded to me immediately.

FIRST COMENITY BANK TAKES ADVANTAGE OF AND THREATENS
SENIOR CITIZENS. WORST BANK EVER! Do Not Accept Any
Cards or Offers You'll Be Sorry.
I'm so sorry Mark. Comenity is the WORST financing company EVER! They never post your payments on time, so they can charge you a late fee. Their supposed "same as cash" financing is NOT the case at all! They charge you interest right from the beginning, even though they aren't supposed to, and then tell you that you didn't pay the correct amounts, so they switched you from "promotional" to "revolving", to cover their butts on why they are charging interest on a "12 months-same as cash" deal. (and then have the nerve to charge you $400 for THAT!) Stay FAR, FAR, AWAY, from Comenity Bank, and all of the cards that they finance. Some of their stores are: Gardner-White Furniture, MOST of the Jewelry stores (Kay's, Zales, Charles Warren, JTV, etc...) Pier1, Meijer, Abercrombie & Fitch, Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Big Lots, Crate & Barrel, David's bridal, DSW, Fashion Bug, Forever 21, Game Stop, HSN, JCrew, Marathon gas, Pottery barn, and SOOO many more! Just beware, and pay them off COMPLETELY as SOON as you can! If they tell you that your balance is $300, then send them $350, because if you are short even a PENNY, they will charge you a $35 "late fee", for EVERY MONTH, that you let that penny slide! Good luck to you and your mom!
scamming people, time to get the BBB involved. They even have their phone solictiers being rude, causing harrasement.
Comenity Pay has a recurring withdraw from my checking account, causing over draft fees, and other banking charges. This company preys on people who think they are receiving free gift card and free gas cards. Please be aware of them.
We have the same experience with Comenity. We pay all our bills, via bill pay, on the last day of the month or first of the new month. It takes 2 - 3 days to post. We get hit with a $35 late charge for being one or two days late. It is the norm with all other providers to have a 5 day grace period and allow you to move your payment date to, say, the 7thof the month to account for bill pay processing. When I called their customer support, they knew exactly what I was asking for, saying, 'you are not the only ones asking. We'll have it [ability to move your pay date] soon enough.' This seems like a way to use late fees as a revenue center, not a way to guide payment behavior.
Commenity bank is nothing but a bunch of thugs. They have an "entrapment" method of offering a card for a new store, (they own many store accounts, e.g. talbots, j.crew..) and I fell for accepting cards and charging at several stores. Well I am a foolish victim, but am determined to retaliate. I warn all; if you are offered a card, DON'T accept it. You too, may be a victim. I mean this from my heart. Be careful. No item is worth being a victim over.
they slap on late fees and then don't send email bills. This is the third time Comenity has not sent an emailed bill for one of their companies for 2 months. I depend on email bills, as I have many cards, so I choose paperless. Comenity purposely doesn't email a bill then calls after two months demanding late fees (which go up $5 each time). And each time they do this, I not only demand refund of fees, I pay off the $25 balance and end the card, after which I call the store and inform them they have lost a customer because of the bank they use. So, Pier 1, Crate and Barrel -- NOT in my shopping world anymore, after many years. As long as they use Comenity, and Comenity uses these shady practices of "silent" late fees and no emailing of statement -- we're done, as customers.
Card Program discontinued, all accounts closed
Went to pay my bill online as I always do, and noticed that the "available balance" was zero, even though I hadn't maxed out the card. Emailed via the website's contact link, and got a message back saying that my account had been closed, and that it had been reported to the credit reporting agencies as "closed". When I rang the Customer Service line, I was told that the Credit card program (that's right, the ENTIRE CREDIT CARD PROGRAM) for Domestications had been discontinued, so ALL customer credit accounts had been closed, although we all still must continue to pay on the accounts. My concern is the report to the credit agencies...when I asked the Domestications operator just what kind of report had gone to the agencies (since none of their customers had ANYTHING whatsoever to do with their decision to discontinue the card program) she wouldn't tell me the nature of the "report" to the credit agencies, except to say that it was reported as "closed" by WFNNB, the parent company. Typically, any account marked as "closed" by vendor is listed as a "negative" on a credit report...but it's not very fair for customers to find a negative on their credit report just because WFNNB decided to discontinue the program...and if I find a negative on my report (the account had never even been in arrears...it had always been paid, and always on time!) then I'm going to see an attorney about suing them, and about having the suit certified for Class Action, as I'm certain there are many people in the same boat. WFNNB and their parent company, Alliance Data, are hiding from their customers on this one...and I'd sure like to find SOMEONE from one or more of these entities who will be responsible to their customers for their decision, and who will tell me directly just HOW this was reported to the credit agencies. IS THERE ANYONE AT DOMESTICATIONS, WFNNB OR ALLIANCE DATA WITH THE BALLS TO CONTACT ME ABOUT THIS? If not, and if the report to the Credit Agencies is listed as a "negative" on my (and others') reports, prepare to get sued BIG TIME. NOTE TO DOMESTICATIONS CUSTOMERS FINDING THEMSELVES IN SIMILAR STRAITS...CHECK YOUR CREDIT REPORTS RIGHT AWAY!
Server was not loading for payment and had to jump on laptop to get it to go through even though it was through a checking account. I'm displeased with this experience, and it not only affects my credit score, but future loans as well. Also, was unable to get any one on the phone beforehand to make payment or fix the issue, only automated.

Worst customer servicing in the banking industry. New account opened for 4mos. Closed credit line abruptly with no explanation. A ton of autodialing, calls from their account representatives. Borderline harassment. Will never use another service that this bank underwrites for.

It took more than 4 months since i have filed a dispute of unauthorized charge on my Sony visa credit card , my card number is [protected] and my name is Misa Tran , my email is mickeybrown3ye@yahoo.com , please help me to contact to Comenity Bank to solve the problem , thanks
I am receiving multiple late fines for my BonTon credit card, even though I have paid it in the past. The interesting fact is that BonTon stores closed in our NJ town a few years ago, so I definitely have not used the card. The Comenity late fee was posted on January 2, 2023.
I got the same notification letter last week. As long as your account was in good standing (i.e., not 60 or more days late on payments), your account will simply show as "closed" or "closed by lender". This is far different from an account being closed for non payment.
If the credit limit on your Domestications card was a significant part of your total credit limit across all cards, and you maintain balances on other cards, then your score might take a 1 or 2 point hit. This is because consumers are rated, in part, on how much of their total credit availability is actually being used. Most private label cards have notoriously low limits, especially after the credit crunch a few years back. Because of this, the vast majority of cardholders will not see their credit scores affected.
If you are really concerned, then go to www.annualcreditreport.com and request your report from each of the three bureaus. Under the 2003 Fair and Accurate Credit Act, all American's are entitled to a free annual report. I'd recommend waiting a month to allow for your account to show as closed on your credit reports. Most creditors only send updates to credit bureaus after each monthly billing cycle.
