On Nov 3rd at 5am IST, I received an email regarding my temporary account disabled and I was asked to submit my details on persona link (OTP on registered mobile and my National ID which I submitted during account application initially) within 48 hours.
First, my money was going to be available from Nov 4th and they disabled it before that. I knew their intention was not right.
Secondly, the given persona link was already expired on the Nov 3 itself when I checked their email at 11 am IST how am I supposed to complete the process. So, I complained them regarding expiry of the link that I have only 42 left to complete the process. I have screenshots of the 20+ emails that I have done within 48 hours. But I got no response. I have proofs of all the emails. Then I complained on complaints board and Emily from Tutor support team replied me stating that I have used VPN during document verification.
Firstly, I know English and it was written clearly don't use VPN so why would I use that. Secondly the link is expired so I cant even proceed to steps to use VPN
She provided me a second persona link for verification on Nov 7th at 5 am IST and within 10 minutes I completed the verification process of OTP and National ID. I have screenshot for the same.
I 1000% certain that I have not voilated any rules of the platform and the course hero team has not been transparent and did this so that I cannot withdraw my amount.
Today I received an email that my account is permanently disabled for no valid reason. I have attached screenshot.
I have dedicated my 11-12 hours daily on this platform and didn't receive a single cent.
My pending balance was 253$ and available was 11.5 dollars and 15 questions were yet to be rated which was around 30 dollars so total was around 293.5 dollars.
I have all the proofs and I will file a case on course hero for exploitation and fraud. This is really disgusting and unacceptable.
I had submitted correct details and I have proof of the same and I had also submitted within time frame of the second link which Emily from Tutor Support provided on Nov 7th. Luckily I submitted it otherwise that link was also not working after half an hour only while stating that the link is valid for 1 day. This is clearly fraudulent activity on their end.
Claimed loss: 290 Dollars
Desired outcome: Reinstate my account as soon as possible
Take necessary action for the tutor community who got robbed by Course Hero and ask them to re-enable my account and pay me my hard earned money back.
I have contacted on tutor-support@coursehero.com but Mr Jess from Tutor Support Team responded that they permanently disabled my account and will not provide any additional information. This is called transparency . I am 1000% sure that I have not done any unusual activity. I had even completed re-verification process within 12 minutes then also permanently disabled. My 295 $ should be paid for solving 148 questions of students whom course hero charged for posting questions.
This is shameful and unethical.
I am losing trust on this platform if this is what company represents.
Re-enable my account asap or pay me $295 for working 11-12 hours daily .
No action has been taken till now . It's been 10 days . And I have done 10+ emails at tutor-support@coursehero.com in last 10 days But received no response yet from support team .
Complaint Board please look in the matter . Please get my account re-enabled so that I can withdraw my hard earned money . I am ready to provide any additional information required.
It has been 16 days now since my account has been disabled for no valid reason . And I was asked to contact on tutor-support@coursehero.com and +[protected] and I have done all and even re -verified on the given persona link from Ms Emily from Tutor Support Team and still they disabled my account and said we will not give any additional information. I really don't want to work on such fraud platform any further but I earned my $295 by solving 148 questions which Course hero charge from students for asking questions. I want my $295 and want to file case against such people who are exploiting young individuals. Please make sure people get to know about such scam .
This company has 12 reviews of 1 star each then it is rated 4 stars on Complaints Board. Fooling people to contact on tutor-support@coursehero.com where noone is helping doesn't mean they are replying and solving queries and complaints.
Complaints Board I have lot of faith and expectations . Please help me and make students and teachers aware of such scam and exploitation.
It's 22nd Nov today and still no action has been taken yet . Complaints Board please look into the matter. This scam needs to be addressed. They charge students but don't pay tutors to solve questions rather disable their accounts just before withdrawal and appoint new tutors.
Please help me get my $ 295 back for solving 148 chemistry questions.
