my bad experience
Got rain checks for sale item and out of 8 stores locally none sell on a regular basis only as sale item was out on 2nd day of sale what kind of scam is this all 8 stores out by 2nd day, the product was charming bath tissue 12 pack the basic design. All the eight stores had al the other kinds and packages of all charming but not the basic brand. Why would your stores only sell this product in that brand on a sale flyer, and then issue a rain check to purchase the sale item at another time?

closed ten minutes early
Rock Hill, S.C. CVS Pharmacy - Sign says they close at 6:00 pm. At 5:50 pm on April 27, 2008, the pharmacy drive-up window was closed. When I saw the window closed, I went inside --- after driving around the building and getting out in the rain. No one was in the pharmacy. This prevented me from picking up my prescription. I complained to the CVS manager, who confirmed that it was not 6:00 pm yet and the pharmacy was closed. No one would go into the pharmacy to get my prepared medication. Shame on you, CVS.

don't wait till last min if its so important. if pharmacist is not there then no one goes into RX. its the law.
By law, the pharmacy is not allowed to be open without a registered pharmacist inside it. If the pharmacist had a family emergency, or a personal emergency or what not, they can't just leave the techs alone to lock up for the day. The entire pharmacy had to close. Whether or not this is what happened in this case is unknown, but be responsible. Pharmacy workers hate customers that come 15 minutes before closing to pick up a prescription that's been waiting for you for 6 days...
that last post was for leonard. As for the original poster, i think if it were THAT important you would have went to the store much much earlier in the day! Your procrastination is not the employees problem!
What time did you think the store closed? CVS's are just small stores, not open at all hours of the night like grocery stores like walmart! Advice-PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS AND LOOK AT THE HOURS THAT ARE CONVENIENTLY POSTED AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE STORE!
I was in a cvs on jones road last night 10/20/09 at about 5 or 10 minutes before 10 pm.
I never even realized the store closed at 10 pm .I had parked my car right in the front by the main door.I went in to buy some allergy medication.i am on that aisle for quite a while trying to decide on which one to buy since there is as most of you know quite a bit of choice on these. At about 10:15pm I finally make a choice and went up to the counter to check out .As soon as I got there and set my items on the counter the main stores lights shut off.I saw no one around and I yelled out Is anybody here? No reply so I decided to walk out the automatic door. When i did an alarm went off. The next thing I know the police arrive put me in cuffs behind my back and put me in the back of an uncomfortable police car.He stated that he had to call the manager of the store.About 15 minutes later the manager arrives goes inside the store and calls his employee who told him that she even saw my car out front when leaving .Iwas finally released out of the back of the police car and out of the hand cuffs. The whole scene could have been avoided if the employess would have done their job and made sure everyone was out of the store before closing instead of being n such a hurry to leave.
Humiliated in Houstn
Don't wait until the last minute to get your prescriptions. Pharmacy staff have lives also and they are dying to get out of the pharmacy on time. We close our drop-off counters at 545PM, so we can actually get out of the store at 6PM. I've had instances before where I didn't get to go home until 6:45PM, because people kept coming in.
Legally, you cannot pick up your prescriptions if the pharmacist is not in the pharmacy, so the store manager or anyone else in the store is not allowed to help you by going into the pharmacy to get your prescription. The store manager doesn't even know the security codes or has the keys for the pharmacy.
Also, in the state of SC noone is allowed in the pharmacy part without a registered/licensed pharmacist there. Its the law. A manager would not be able to open the door and sell it to you even if he had the key (which they dont for this reason).
Did it ever occur to you that maybe the time you had set you clock for wasn't the authority? Companies are run by global satellite time-obviously you were 10 minutes behind the rest of the world-Fix your clock and act like a responsible adult and don't wait until the last minute to get you medication.
for one i work in a cvs and sometimes the pharm. has to close early. and the manage doesnt have a key to get into the pharm. i guess you should of been there way before 10 minutes until they close.
almost arrested!
I entered the CVS pharmacy on 500 Grand Street in Manhattan N.Y. and said good morning to the manager and the employee at around 8:40 this morning (3/10/08). I went to pick up some baby wipes for my 3yr. old daughter for school. They had a display for an 80 count of wipes that read WOW $2.99 so I checked them out. I then seen another pack for $7.99 that had 232 counts of wipes so I asked the pharmacist if she had a pen and she said that she didn't and I should check up front. After I received the pen from the employee, I decided to compare the two to see which was the better value and if I should get 2 or 3 packs of the 80pck. As I was standing there, this man came up to me (he wasn't wearing a name tag or badge - the same person I said good morning to) and told me that I could not write down the price for each item, he then proceeded to tell me that I was not supposed to be writing the bar code for the items - which I wasn't. After I explained to him what I was doing he still insisted that I better stop. He came back again and then after I told him that I didn't know what his problem was, he called the police. There were some items already on the floor and then he blamed them on me. I walked up to the counter and asked the young lady for the store # and he yelled at her not to give me anything. After the police came and seen how ridiculous the call was they said that he was wrong and that I could frequent the store later on that day or the next day but I had to leave the store because the manager didn't want me there. I would like to know where it is written that a consumer cannot compare prices in order to make a sound purchase. I feel that because I am a black man being singled out and stereo typed and yes, even by another black man, that this is insane. That was discrimination at its best. The officers even gave me his name "Tony Johnson".
I am making this complaint because of the harassment and the stalking by Tony Johnson as well as the blatant violation of my rights as a consumer to tell me that I don't have a right in this here time in America to shop and compare prices as I please. I had to take my business elsewhere and walk 2 or 3 long blocks just to buy some baby wipes and I also found them for less. Thank You Tony Johnson for that Humiliating experience!
None of you porch monkeys make any sense.
WTF dude?!
Yes, I agree with the black man who is simply trying to buy
baby wipes for his kid. These days discrimination against minorities is coming from other minorities who believe that if they sell out in some big ways that they will make it big or something. Maybe the manager in CVS thought that his big white boss may hear about how he harrangled a black customer and may make him regional director of all CVS stores in Manhattan.
Minorities must fight discrimination no matter who is doing it. Discrimination has nothing to do with what race the perpertrator is, but how he or she is using his power to humiliate, treat unfairly, or put someone in a state of disadvantage in a situation for no other reason but who the victim is. I have a message to these type of "sick pup" minorites who behave like this: You sell out, slave minded, brainwashed self-hating minorities, will always be a member of the minority race that you are. Picking on your own race because of jealousy, yeah sometimes these minorities who are sales people in these stores make no money, and you go to buy something, and they look at you because they know that you are also a minority but you are a high ranking manager across the street at Deloitte and Touche, honey and they get jealous of another minority.
So anyway, you jealous minority members who work at CVS,
Rite Aid, or Duane Reade, and only make 6 dollars an hour, and hate on me because I am also a member of a minority race and I am shopping in your store and everything I have on that day would take you two years to purchase, so you act like you think I am stealing something, cause you would have to steal it since you make no money...pllleeeaseee!
Go to school get an education, so that you can get a real job!
here we go with the race card. thats all YOU people are good at and stealing . YOU as a black man in black race bring this on to your race. nobody did. 9 out of 10 time its black people whos steal from CVS. whenever a shaddy black person being polite like its their last day on earth meanings they're about to rob you cold.thats 9-10 time . and u're not fooling with anybody by thinking ur race is any better when over 85% of population in prision is black. i think u were acting suspicious for a black man who shouldn't be shopping for bargin instead of knocking up more babies so the rest of us have to pay for it. so the picture doesn't fit right so what manager did was right. hes trying to send u back where u came from which is prision or africa
Cracker factory is worse
poor customer relations!
My complaint is a long time coming, I was shopping in the store around a year ago, I noticed one of the employees following close behind me, it was around closing time so I didn't give it much thought. When the announced the store was closing in 10 minutes, I proceeded to check out, The same employee, a young man name Patrick began to help the man checking me out. He began to may several rude remarks to me, I finally had enough, and told him he shouldn't treat his customer this way. As I headed to the door to exit he stood between me and the exit, I thought he was going to unlock the door and let me out, instead he looked at me and asked me if I was Through. I was so humiliated by this, I finally burst into tears, while another store employee watched and also the two other customer who stood behind me in line. As I cryed he stood there, finally he let me out. I couldn't get out of the parking lot quick enough. I know I should have reported this right away, because I was so humiliated I didn't. I hope by writing this email, I can put this terrible experience behind me. I was a loyal customer who sang their praises. I will never step foot back in any CVS store, hopefully one day i will be able to drive past one with out these bad feeling arising. Former customer!
I experience a very bad experience today too. The store number is 9609 located in El monte, CA. I feel very discriminated by the store manager with the last name Ramos. I went in to get my free item from a coupon that I saw on their facebook website. I read online and known that I can use more than one coupon and get multiple items. I walk into the store and get 5 bottle of body wash for the coupon that I found. When I went to check out, the cahsier which also is the store manager told me that i can only use one coupon and do I know how to read the coupon. Then she going on and told me that it was unfair for other people that didn't get their chance of getting the free items. I told her, I"m okay with one item and walk out. About a few minute later, I remembered that I have a purchase that I make at another store and wanted to return back to them because the cashier was overcharge me. I went back into the store again and wanted to return the items. then this manager just told me that "so you went around other store just to get a free items? " then i told her that other people online did the same thing too. Then she said " but it was unfair for other people that you went around get the free product." I told her "why don't you go and told other people too instead of just me". She just ignored my question and I told her I want to return the Colgate toothbrush that I over paid for . then she keep going on about the free products and fairness instead of processing my return. She keep going on with her fairness attitude and rudely told me "next time don't go in for free stuff anymore". I just don't get what the matter what her. CVS is the one that give out free coupon to customer and now told me not to go get it. I feel very discriminate during my first transaction when she told me that I didn't know how to read and looking down on me because I used a coupon. I feel that she have been discriminate again me because of my Asian look therefore she keep yelling at me about the fairness issues ignore the fact that I'm a consumer too. If other people want to get the free items then go ahead and get it. I didn't prevent them to get the items. Why did she have to give me an attitude and she is the store manager?
A pharmacists job is very stressful. That being said it does not excuse his behavior and he needs to be reported. I work for a cvs also and I would have been embarrassed and in tears and would have appreciated a witness calling corporate on this man. the corporate number is 1-800-shop-cvs.
There is a CVS in Weatherford, TX where there is a pharmacist named Mike Finley, this man is a monster of the lowest class. I saw him treating a technician employee a young girl so bad it made me want to go in there and tell him off. I believe this man is the most insecure person ever to scream non-stopping and humiliate this girl. I'll be completing a charge on this pharmacist and I hope he gets fired for the lack of his professionalism and the incredible rude character he displayed.
The CVS Store in Dedham, MA Eastern Ave. sells a 20 oz. Diet Coke for 1.79, I can get this same item at my local convenient store for 1.29. Why is it that a company as big as CVS charges $.50 more for this one item. How many more items are priced higher that a local store?
Thank You,
Paul R. True [protected]
THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME AT STORE#5250 BUT MY STORY WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT.
AS A VERY WEALTHY AND FASHIONABLE WOMAN I WEAR BIG PURSES. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT BIG PURSES ARE IN STYLE...IN STORE #5250 ARI GONZALEZ FOLLOWED ME TO EVERY SINGLE AISLE LOOKING AT ME AND MY PURSE CONSTANTLY. I WAS SO DISTURBED BY HER LOOKS THAT I JUST PUT ALL THE ITEMS DOWN AND WALKED OUT AND DROVE ACROSS THE STREET TO FAMILY DOLLAR TO GRAB THE SAME EXACT ITEMS...I HAVE NEVER EVER EVER BEEN TREATED THAT WAY. AND THEN AS I WAS WALKING OUT SHE SAID "WHEN YOU WATCH THESE WOMEN WITH BIG PURSES THEY GET INTIMIDATED AND THEY PUT THE THINGS DOWN AND LEAVE THE STORE BECAUSE THEY KNOW WE'RE WATCHING"...I COULDN'T BELIEVE SHE SAID THAT. I MAKE AT LEAST 5 TIMES MORE THAN SHE WOULD EVER MAKE YEARLY AT THAT JOB. SO WHAT REASON WOULD I HAVE TO STEAL SHAMPOO AND ETC?...THAT WAS SOOOOOO UNCALLED FOR!
I WOULDN'T DARRRRRRREEEEEE STEP FOOT BACK IN CVS EITHER!...I WOULDN'T SUPPORT THEM IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT...I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING A SMALL CAMERA TO HIDE IN MY CLOTHING AND EXPOSE THE WAY THAT ARI GONZALES OPERATES IN STORE # 5250...I AM STRONGLY LOOKING INTO THAT!
four mistakes with my prescriptions
I moved here four months ago and this CVS has made at least four mistakes with my prescriptions - the last and final straw was yesterday, when I was given someone else's medication with the label on the bag indicating it was my medication. There is a weak link at this store's pharmacy and they seriously need to find it before something dangerous happens.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I suppose you know then that CVS Caremark is not an insurance company, and they also do not decide the price of your medication. Your copay is decided by your insurance company -- the function of CVS Caremark is to manage the plan that you have, not to increase, or decrease, your co-insurance charge for prescriptions. It seems as if you have misunderstood who is actually deciding the cost of your prescription.
Had a script for Levaquin 500 mg, 21 days. Brought script to CVS and requested only 7 dispensed, as they are so pricey and I was hoping that 1 week would be sufficient. Got 7/$89.35, got another 7/89.35 got the last 7/98.07. Pharmacist told me it was insurance carrier fault, insurance carrier told me what I knew, this is not covered, all costs have been out of pocket. Called CVS/CS they spoke with pharmacist he said price went up, this was in 3 weeks time. Never ws told there was a change in prices So CVS/Caremark I just cut up my card, and being a Senior Citizen and involved in Senior activities, this message will get around. CVS Pharmacist you are a liar and a thief..
I phoned my prescriptions in to the automated line on last Friday.I noticed 2 calls from cvs on caller id on sat...but no message was left. Today i stopped by to pick up my prescriptions. As happened again as 2 months ago...no prescriptions for me were found. After calling a number for a regional manager was posted in the front of the store(which was very unusual)I left a message that the CVS on Georgia avenue in the Seminary shopping center in Silver Spring, Md is a mess unless Daniel the head pharmacist is there. Finally, I got a call from the store manger( after resubmitting my scripts via automated system) to come in later this pm to pick them up.Upon arrival, there were 7 others ahead of me in the line.I got scripts 2/3...upon my inquiry I was told that the 3rd had been ordered and that I could come to pick it up tomorrow night. That will be my 3rd trip..my time, gasoline and I still do not have all my scripts.afer patronizing this pharmacy for almost 50 years I am livid.Obviously no training is given for the clerks...also at least one seasoned clerk should be in the
pharmacy at all times.
get a life
Believe me this is absolutely common among all CVS store. I thought South Carolina must be the worst so I started looking on the internet to see if others were complaining. Rude, rude, rude and bad service. Top management doesn't care as long as you are still purchasing in their store. Take your business elsewhere--all pharmacies and pharmacists are not like this! Go to consumeraffairs.com and look what is said about his company.
I went to the CVS pharmacy to get a container to put a stool sample in as my doctor instructed. I asked the two pharmacists for such an item and they did not seem to understand me. So I patiently told both Vietnamese pharmacists that I had salmonella poisoning and needed to get a stool sample to see how my medications were working. I was very close to being hospitalized as I was very dehydrated and losing great quantities of water. The pharmacist took me to the laxative counter and offered me a bottle of magnesium citrate laxative for my problem. I knew that I couldn't take a laxative as I was going to the bathroom every 20 minutes. I left and called my nurse and she couldn't believe it. She suggested that I go immediately to the emergency room for a fluid IV for dehydration. If I would have taken the laxative could I have died? I complained to CVS risk management and was 'dismissed'. Be careful out there.

Read full review of CVS and 10 commentstotally out to lunch!
I have had the absolutely worst experience at the cvs pharmacy in montvale. I called the automated phone line to renew my prescription, then followed up with a phone call. I was assured by the pharmacy that my prescription was there. When I arrived, I was given only 12 pills (It should have been 60) and was told that was all that could be filled even though the bottle I was given the previous time it was filled said "1 refill remaining." nonelthess. I was assured that the remainder would be filled the following day. Again, I called to make sure that the filled prescription was there and was told that it was. Again when I arrived the prescription wasn't there and now they told me I needed a new prescription. These people are totally out to lunch! I strongly recommend that no on uses this pharmacy.
A second complaint about the CVS in Montvale NJ. Not only did they tell me twice that my prescription was there and filled when it wasn't, but the one time they did fill the prescription, which should have been for 60 pills, there were only 30. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY--THEY ARE TERRIBLE. The CVS in Old Tappan is even worse, if you can believe that. Twice I was told that my insurance didn't cover my medication and that I should call my insurance plan. I did and they indeed did cover it. When I went to another pharmacy, it was filled immediately. These people have absolutely no idea what they are doing. They are grossly incompetent. I even was as far as to call the CVS regional manager and that I would get a reply back. I never did. DO NOT USE CVS PHARMACIES!
Drs write for a certian # of pills at a time. You get a differant amount at a time because the insurance only pays for so many at a time, you cant afford as many as that at one time or perhaps you only got a small amount on your first refill to see if you could take them. Anyway the last refill will almost always be a partial refill because the #s don't match. Pharmasists can not give more than the rx was written for they fill rx's they don't write them. The bottle indicated you had a refill left and you got a refill. It just wasn't as many as you had gotten in the past. There is not enough room on a rx lable to explain all this. I know many people might say "then say .5 refills" if only half is remaining. Well Did you notice the (.) If you are 70 years old you may have missed it and thought it was 5 refills. You see it does not matter they are always complaints. The world is not perfect. Grow up, If you don't know how something works ask, liston and learn. Don't just yell about it.
pharmacy issues problems
I had an issue several years ago when this pharmacy gave me the completely wrong prescription and shrugged it off as no big deal. My husband needed something filled due to oral surgery.
So I gave them our insurance card since he never gets anything filled. 40 minutes of phone calls and the Pharmacists says we are not covered. I am speechless. I know we are covered =) I just got statements in the mail from the company so it just didn't make sense. He hurried me along saying that he was done contacting them and I need to make a decision of either buying the medicine or going elsewhere. Now I have my husband bleeding profusely from the mouth in the car God only knows what he is doing since I walked into the store so I suck*ed it up say I know that I am covered and that I would be back to get a refund once I got it straightened out.
I first call the office of the job to see whats up, they get back to me in 20 minutes saying there is nothing wrong, he is in the system, they double verified it and everything. So I am like ok, I call the company 2 times and both reps said ya you are covered and oh by the way that pharmacy never filed anything (they keep record of every attempted claim instantly). Oh ok, so now I am a bit upset to say the least because I stood at CVS for 40 minutes thinking that they were calling my insurance but obviously they weren't.
Well I go in and get the store manager because I felt that when I had left I was more of a bother to the pharmacist then anything so I wanted to have her deal with it. So she shook her head saying that I am the 4th complaint of the day (this was at 1030am). Ok so we go back I tell the guy what my insurance said, and you know what he said? I was lying and asked if he got them on speaker phone would they say the same thing to him? What? I really attract the crazies lately. Where did that come from?
So well after him being upset and the manager thinking that I am full of crap they get the company on the phone, so embarrassing since he was speaking really loud saying things like, you are not right about this and having me give info in front of everyone like a social security number. I felt humiliated. Finally he got them on and they said I wasn't covered, he is all happy and said tell this customer this. So I get on, this is Tricare I am speaking with. WHAT?! I don't have tricare! It says evolutions right on the card. I don't have a federal job either. He was calling the wrong company and he was giving them the wrong information. Of course I wasn't covered, its not my insurance! So I really felt that I didn't do anything wrong, I still don't but this is how it ended. He "DID ME A FAVOR" and credited me for what I have to pay for over my copay. No apology but I did get this. " Ill take responsibility, The customer is never wrong, the doctor is never wrong it is always the pharmacist who is wrong!" He said it so loudly twice that customers were rolling there eyes and the tech was too.
To top it off in January I had a rx filled there that was new they told me my insurance didn't cover it come to find out they do and I have spent in the last 7 months, $400 over what I should have spent. So now I have to file a claim to my insurance company. So this isn't the first time they messed this up its just the last time they told me a lie. Its so bad with CVS in general that my insurance company told me one of the gazillion times I called them that they are thinking about removing CVS from there network in 2008 because this is a nationwide issue... go figure.
ridiculous store!
CVS Store
4040 Prarie Ave. Miami Beach, Florida 33140
This store has been ridiculous since it opened. The lines are always forever and the pharmacy always has an issue. After a while you just learn to except it until something just has to give. My mother dropped film off for the one hour developing service. They demand that it will have to be 24 hour service. After waiting for 15 mins. She says that is fine and gets her ticket. The next evening I drop her off and wait out side while she stands in line for 20 mins. only to be told to come back the next day. The associate "Jo" tells her he doesn't know if anyone's film has arrived and he is too busy to look. She tells me this and it angers me. I go in and stand in line for 15 mins. while he and the manager walk by and ignore me. I finally scream, "I want to see a manager now!" The manager (I didn't realize it was him until "Jo" calls him) is in the back room after passing me three times and not acknowledging me once. He comes out and has the nerve to ask me to wait a little longer. I wait another 5 mins. He walks over and says "You have a problem?" I am boiling and start explaining that I wanted 1 hour service and was made to wait 24 hours. No one can find the film and no one has bothered to help min in 25 mins. He is aggressive and starts to tell me that I haven't been standing there. He asks "Jo" if this is true and he says it is. I demand "Duval's" manager's name and number. "Duval" the manager, starts being nice. He goes behind the counter and glances down and says, "I'm sorry, I can't find your film. Wait, what is your name." He hadn't even asked me yet. I say just give me the information so I can leave. He does. I call the manager's manager. No reply. The next day, I call again and leave another message. No reply. That night I email their site. The next day, no reply. I finally look up complaints on google. BAM! A million of them pop up. I find the number and they get me on the phone with the store's assistant manager. She tell me the film turned out blank and has been there since an hour after delivery on the first day. She didn't know why they couldn't find it and said she would give me another role.
There is a week of my life I can never get back!
poor you
tragic experience!
My name is Gary Bishop and I live here in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I am a man of 47 and have never in all of my lifetime had an experience so tragic as to what happened to me on May 19. 2007. It was a Saturday and I had spent most of the day over at Lakeforest Mall shopping center. I had my mom with me and she wanted to stop at the CVS drugstore located at 546 North Frederick Avenue. I drove her there and go inside. I tell my mother that I am tired from the shopping and I would wait in front by a patio display. CVS had set up a patio table and chairs and they looked very inviting to a shopper who had spent the day on his/her feet. I sat down and my mom walked into the shampoo isle just a few feet away. No sooner had I sat down when my cell phone went off and so I took the call. I talked with a friend for maybe one minute when Joy, the store manager comes inside with 4-5 shopping cart baskets. She eyes me and immediately comes over and shouts, "these chairs are for display only and you must get up." She sounded off like Marine Sergeant. I was really taken aback at her nasty tone of voice to me and so I rushed through my phone call but before I could get off the phone this "manager" circles the front end of the store and immediately returns asking me if I was with someone. I found that to be none of her business but I told her I was in the store shopping with my mom, who by the way was standing there witnessing the whole sorted ordeal. Once again she leaves my presence and does her little walk over the front of the store and returns asking me if I had prescriptions to be picked up. I ignored her question that time and decided to go up front and purchase some candy and wait outside until my mom ended her shopping. I then see this Joy at a cash register so I side-stepped her line and go to another cashier. Once I got to the front of the line I noticed that the man was an assistant manager. I began explaining to him what hell this Joy woman was dishing out to me and he just shook his head but said nothing. His actions spoke volumes to me as to how he was relating to Joy from the past. Well, as I began to detail how badly I had been treated Joy stops her transaction with a customer and comes over to us and begins shouting "if you have a problem come to me. I am the manager" She is also pointing at her badge ..like that's going to impress me. Not only was she shouting at the top of her lungs at me I then find out she is a manager. I didn't know that at the time while I sat at the patio display. If she is a manager I am wondering how on earth that can be. It makes no sense. Well, after she shouted it out to me she was a manager I then turn to her in a cool and calm voice telling her I was going to file a harassment suit against the CVS for her attitude. I plan on doing that after I have spoken with top management. I wrote in my complaint letter I just mailed off that if she is this demanding and nasty to an adult customer I am wondering what her rapport is with small children who come into this store and the parents let them move about the store freely. This woman is the devil. Plain and simple and I would hate the thought of having a boss like her. Being that said I am indeed going to make her life as miserable as she made mine this past Saturday. Thank you readers for reading my post. If any of you have had similar experiences like this please feel free to write me.
oh yes and I just bet you were all calm and nice and sweet. Notice you never see a comment where the perp was ticked off and angry. Perhaps you gave some attitude when asked to please stay off the displays because you were upset at having to hull your mom all over town. Remember stores do have to sell this stuff and I as a consumer do not want to purchase an item you have had your nasty butt on.
I am so glad you wrote a complaint to those above her. I would have been very angry & upset being scolded like a child from this so-called manager. I guess she is proud of herself since she feels the need to scream it to anyone within ear shot. Hopefully she is humiliated by her boss so she knows what it feels like.
photo processing overcharging!
My wife bought a 'one-time use' CVS brand digital camera for our son just prior to this past Christmas holiday. The price was $19.95 plus 6% sales tax for a total of $21.20. The price did not include the cost of processing but the signs on the wall behind the photo counter indicated that the price was $.25 per print. The camera shot 25 pictures so the cost of processing should have been $6.25 plus 6% sales tax for a total of $6.63, give or take. When I picked up the pictures, I was told the price was $12.99 plus 6% sales tax - a total of $13.77! This was more than twice the advertised price! This price was posted nowhere on the camera package or on the sign age within the photo counter area. We paid a total of $34.97 for 25 prints (plus, according to the store, a 'free' photo CD). Just to drive home the point, that was $34.97 for 25 photo prints! To me, this represents a major ripoff for the unsuspecting who believe the prices posted on the walls behind the counter are the actual prices you pay. This was my last visit to CVS -EVER! And I will make sure I post this on every available website I can find and tell everyone I come within earshot of.
Our local CVS in Whitehouse, Texas, as all the others, advertise flu shots available - every day - there are signs on every aisle and in the store front windows claiming this. My husband called up there today to make sure because he wanted to get his shot. Finally you get the pharmacy and the pharmacist, who can just bare speak and understand English, told him, no they were not available today. They would be available on Tuesday. Then talked to the Store Manager. She said the same thing. Pharmacist did not know how much they were either. Got in the car and drove up there. Sure enough plastered in the front window "Flu shots available EVERY day". I found the manager and asked her if they were giving flu shots today. She said she didn't think so because there was no one working today to give them. That person would be available on Tuesday, but she would check for me. Came back and said no, not today. I said, "well your sign states they are available EVERY day. " She said I know, Corporate doesn't consider these little country stores." I said, "Well, then your sign is false advertising and should be taken down". Also found out they are $29.99 if you have no insurance. Wouldn't you think they would also advertise that? I am so frustrated with CVS. There is always a problem with them and I will never use their pharmacy again. The last time I did, I called in my refill three days in advance. When I drove up there to pick it up - IT WASN'T READY! Can you believe it?
They should not be allowed to advertise flu shots available every day.
I cannot believe people are this stupid. I actually work for cvs, I am a manager, photo associate, and cashier. I get these complaints daily, and the only customers who leave still mad, are the ones who are too hard headed to listen. The part about them having to pay a butt load for a OTU digital camera, well they have no idea the distance we go for them, just to get those pictures off of that camera. And then if they complain about the price, we explain what the charges are. IF they still don't get it, then we just simply say "okay, well I apologize it wasn't what you were expecting, but these are our marked prices. The prices you saw were for this product, and as you can see, you didn't get this one. I can give you a slight discount for your troubles, and I'll make a note of it on your account." and if they aren't satisfied with that, then simply send them on their way. If it was important enough, than they will take the discount. Our corporate stores shame us for sending some people away. But I would rather stay level headed and smiling, and still helpful, than be insulted, lose my temper, and embarrass myself as well as the customer in front of others. You can only do so much for people before you need to walk away.
You were not over charged. The sign behind the counter for 25 cents is for digital prints from digital cameras, yes. However, you bought a OTU (one time use) camera which is processed through the pure digital machine and is completely different. Its your own fault you paid $20.00 for that disposable camera. Go out and buy a digital camera for $100.00 that you can keep using and then you can pay 25 cents a picture, until then read the sign correctly and check with the photo lab technician before you assume anything.
How about you idiots ask before you presume all these ridiculous claims? People are so "selective" as to what they "believe" should be the correct price. You paid to process a camera, not make reprints from a digital kiosk with a REUSABLE digital camera (that's the 25 cents). One requires labor from the staff (like film), the other doesn't. They are completely different services.
Because of people like you, everyone must put 50, 000 line disclaimers on everything or idiotic hazard signs you see on failblog.org. Try informing yourself next time instead of agreeing to whatever feels right to you.
Ok first of all the sign behind the counter that says 25 cents each is for digital prints that are printed from YOUR own digital cameras card on the kodak picture machine in one hour they are 29 cents if you want them instantly however if you get one of those one time use digital cameras it is a completely different story because the time it takes to hook it up to a special machine made just for those cameras the only way I know all of this mess is because I work for cvs and people really need to calm down before they jump to all of these conclusions
u didn't read the fine prints that its for film not digital. people make the fool out of themself by jumping to conclusion. thats why we don't give a S$#% what u think cause we deal with it everyday. customers always wrongs and thats the fact, get ur head out of ur ### for once. ur one buck isn't god give to us
For the idiot with the passport complaint, there is no such thing as a 4X6 passport print. Could you imagine how stupid that would look? You would need a photo album to carry it around in. Passport pictures are 2inch and CVS is more than half the cost of having your picture done at the post office. There are guide lines that are programmed into the machine that they are printed on, so you crafting your own passport picture at home is not acceptable no matter where you shop. How about knowing what you are talking about before blasting complaints.
I was at a dallas texas location at the corner of skillman and kingsley rd. I encountered Bernetha a manager on duty who was assisting me to get mp3 headphones. She was the most rudest unprofessional person I've encountered in retail. Her attitude was like she was doing me a favor. I will never shop there again.
I just got back from CVS. i did not complete my transaction and left with nothing. The 'people' they hire to be cashiers are idiots. The supervisors are barely any better. Nowadays, expecting any decent front line customer service is futile. People dont know how to listen and think. Supervisors are just too lazy to do the same.
You are just plain stupid. I have used those cam's at cvs. The prices are posted at the film counter. The posters on the wall are come ons for FILM developing. Digital cameras are not FILM cameras.
very unhappy with this predicament
I am very disappointed in the CVS ExtraCare card program. My fiancé and I are very regular customers, and both look forward to receiving the Customer Care coupons. However, I am very disappointed since I had filled 2 new prescriptions at our local CVS pharmacy totaling $55. I was expecting to receive a great coupon afterward, since I assumed that the...
Read full review of CVS and 9 commentsruined my film photo processing!
I gave them a roll of aps film to develope... the photo technician could not find the proper equipment to develop my roll. instead of calling me to tell me to pick it back up and take it somewhere else, for some reason known only to the heavens she opened up the film, unrolled it, and exposed it to light which is the number one thing anybody who remotely knows anything about aps film knows not to do. so she ruined my film/pictures for no reason... if she didn't know what to do she could have not just done anything, but instead she ruined my pictures. and I had nothing to pay for, so it's not like I could ask for a refund. they've lost my business for life.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I just left this CVS waiting 2 hrs just to pickup 1 tynelol and a cream prescription. The workers there are so racist, no respect for customers forgetting that customers we pay them to fix their dirty long nails. So rude and stinking communication to customers is their job description.
I keep getting phonecalls for c vs. when inquire about the nature of th call they hang up.
done is mulltiple times. i'm a heart patientb don't need the stress.
it's harassment
Store number 3004. I never ever been turn down by a pharmacy because they have 49minute left in the shift and won’t fill a prescription. The worker stop focusing on going home and focus on customers then I think they rate would be better. That is unacceptable. 2/27/24
I am not impressed with the new TV ads in SPANISH! This is the United States of America, and we speak English! Not Spanish! How dare you make your ads Spanish when the Spanish population is so little. The majority buy far are English speaking Americans.
Change your ad, we will not shop in your stores if this continues. It is a real turn off!
clerk said he was too busy to help me, said he knows nothing about
what CVS dos or doesn't do.
This happened @ 3.00 pm on1/2/24
They are very bad. They should close down. Moving out of there to Rite aid. The whole pharma industry knows CVS DOES NOT PICK UP THEIR PHONE. shame on you!

You can't just suggest something to Corporate and expect anything to happen. You're dealing with a giant inflexible Frankenstein monster of a company and no one knows what anyone else is doing across the levels of management. When we try to access corporate we hit their customer service wall and a tiny simple problem takes a ludicrous amount of time to fix. I would estimate that it would take several years to get something big like delivery and order days changed -- I'm not joking. Ex: it takes them months to fix small problems like putting an item into our system so we can sell it. We got a call in August once saying that they fixed an item and we can sell it now -- it was a Christmas item that we threw away half a year ago.
Wow is this sight governed by CVS or what. Sound like there is a big problem with communication in your company. If the adds and ordering days do not compliment each other, it makes things harder on the customers and emplyees. Employees should not have to answer the same questions all the time about why they are not stocked up on a sale item, and waste time issuing rain checks. Customers should not have to waste their time looking for products that are not on the shelves and come back at a later time to use a raincheck. Maybe you should make a suggestion to corperate to change the sale cycle to compliment the order cycle and be the company savior. Lighten up on the customers...She was not nasty or derogitive in her complaint. You should pass this complaint on to management, not attack the customer. She went to 8 stores.
Charming? Try getting the name right, first off. Second off, our adds are written 6 months in advance, and we don't get them until the week prior to the sale. It takes us a week in advance to order the product, and most stores get their trucks on Tuesdays. Ordering day is on Thursdays. If we receive the paper on Tuesday before the sale, we can't order it until Thursday before the sale. The sale starts Sunday. We're out by the second day, because our truck hasnt come in. and won't until the next day. Hence the RAINCHECKS. Ask the associates when they will be getting their truck in, and ask for a raincheck. and know what product you're looking for before you complain about something you can't even pronounce or spell. Most people would be more than happy to help you out on that, so long as you're understanding. If you're too busy complaining to hear what they're saying, why would they want to help you? would you want to help someone who's yelling at you for something that's out of your hands? I don't think so.
Toilet paper and paper towel items on sale tend to go very quickly because of the good deal. The rain check never expires, I don't see what the point of your complaint is.
@Vicki: Cashiers make mistakes, I'm sure the clerk trying to honor your raincheck looked at the previous week's flyer and realized that was not the correct sale. Don't over react because you didn't get your way and had to wait for a few minutes. Cashiers do not have authorization to void transactions over a certain amount/# of items and I'm sure you didn't make their life any easier.
My daughter saw an ad in the CVS flyer Naked Juice Smoothies 5 for $5.00. There were none in the refrigerated area and she was told and given a "rain check" for that item. A week later we went to the CVS, brought the 5 Naked Juice Smoothies to the register and were told that they made a mistake in the flyer and that the price was 2 for $5.00 ! The clerk said he would check with his manager and took the rain check. When he returned he said sorry but they could not honor the rain check. The clerk had already rang up 5 smoothies at $2.99 apiece on my bill, and we told him we did not want them, and to take them off the bill.He said he did, but as we were about to leave I look on the bill and there are still 2 smoothies on the bill! NOW the clerk has to call the manager over who has such a horrible attitude and makes such a fuss because he has to scan the item. OH MY GOSH ! I will NEVER go to a CVS again.
