never received gift card I paid for
I ordered a Fandango Movie gift card on December 6th 2017. I received tracking info on the next day. Problem was, when I clicked on it, I was given an error message saying my email or the tracking was incorrect. It was not incorrect. Neither the email nor the tracking number I entered were incorrect. I tried copy and paste. I tried to enter everything manually. Nothing worked. So, I contacted the Fandango customer service line to ask about it. I waited over an hour on hold only to be told the girl didn't know what the problem was so she was escalating it to someone higher than her. Problem was I was within a week of needing that gift card for the Christmas gift for a family member I bought it for. I told the lady that and she said she couldn't give me a refund and I would have to wait to hear back in 3-5 days. I asked business days or just days? She said just days. Well after the 3-5 days came and gone I called back and this other person told me it was 3-5 business days and she couldn't give me a refund either. Now we are within a couple days of me needing that card and I still haven't gotten a response, 12 days after it supposedly shipped. I checked the mailing address and it's all correct, the payment was charged to my card. It seems after looking into customer service complaints online, Fandango is running a scam and taking money without providing any service or products. Buyers beware!
"free" justice league poster.
While purchasing my Justice League ticket I was offered a "Free" Justice League poster. I paid shipping and handling of $6.95 and the poster is only 13 inches tall. While shopping at Walmart I notices several full-size Justice League posters for under $5.00 those posters were at least twice as wide and long and had a few different varieties to chose from. I feel like I git ripped off for obvious reasons.

This website and this service, in general, have the worst reputation among similar ones. Honestly, it's very hard to believe that having a rating like this they are still operating. They keep people's money, sell expired tickets, don't stand behind their service, have no customers' protection. And moreover, they ignore all of the inquiries angry people have. Unprofessional.
I totally agree. After paying a service fee for purchasing tickets online, the customer service person at my theater said I should not have been charged a fee because I had a rewards card from the theater. They gave me the number to call Fandango for a refund. When I called the following day I was told a credit would be issued for the service fee and it would appear in a couple of days. I completely forgot about it (October 13th). Today (October 30th, I realized that I had never received my credit. When I called Fandago, they told me they were unable to credit my account since it had been so long since the original purchase. Whose fault is that, since they assured me that a credit would be posted? Now since they drug their feet and failed to issue the credit in a timely manner, the window has closed. Unacceptable customer service as far as I'm concerned. I'll gladly stand in line at the theater to purchase my tickets in the future!

Same story as everyone else. I tried to purchase two movie tickets, but the website said my zip code was wrong and showed my purchase as an error. I tried again and it worked. I noticed later on my credit card there were two transactions. When I called Fandango to correct the issue, the online chat said they can't do anything because it was after the show time and disconnected my chat.
I just want to be charged the correct amount! I was charged twice for the same movie!
If they won't refund you, you can try to dispute the charge with your bank.

I purchased a new movie on my fandango account over a week ago. I can watch anything on fandango with out a problem even the trailer for the movie i purchased but not the actual movie it continues to buffer. I am not asking for a refund but i refuse to pay twice for the same movie. it is not my internet nor any of other options listed on various websites. please either fix the issue by making it available or credit my fandango account so i can repurchase with the same amount already spent. i am growing more and more impatient and upset with the fact i have never encountered this issue on my account before and love using the fandango site for all of my rentals and purchases but I just want to watch what i paid for! please help! my email is ashley.george.[protected]@gmail.com

Something is wrong with my payments.
I purchased several tickets, but my payment was declined each time I tried. My bank account is ok, it works, I have no problem with my card.
I checked the account and saw that I was charged thrice by the Fandango.
So it means I bought 6 tickets for the same movie.
Called them, explained everything, they promised to refund.
It's been a week, there's no money. Or any notification about it. I understand they will never refund faster than charging, but they don't answer anymore and I have no idea whether they are going to refund at all or not...
monopoly movie tickets
Hi! I am not writing to complain but to ask for help. I had earned/won 25 dollars in Fandango credit thru the Monopoly game. I was told or had read that I had a year to use the credit. And I still have not received the products or a response to when I can expect them. I will be calling the Better business bureau if I don't get a response asap. My order number [protected]. Not very happy with them as the poster I ordered as a gift for my young cousins was never received by them. Their customer service email system is awkward and they entered the problem as "resolved" because they didn't hear from me in 48 hours. Their customer service is terrible and I am not happy about the way they handled this. I'm glad I'm only out $6.95, but I'm also out what was supposed to be a Christmas present for my cousins.

Friend gave us a Fandango gift card. Thought I could use like ANY other gift card I'd ever received. Just take it to the business & redeem it. Figured a couple tickets & some food from the concession stand. Wrong. Can only be used for tickets, and those have to be bought online. Okay, so today I buy tickets online ( as they require )& they hit me with a $3.00 convenience fee.
NEWS FLASH Fandango, since it's a movie & I'm going there anyway, it is not inconvenient to redeem the card at the theater, AND save the $3.00 rip off charge.
This card was a gift. But I intend to let the friend that gave it to us know they did not get all they paid for.

Earlier today (09/16/17) I purchased two tickets to the movie It at 10:25pm. I was on the way to the theater and my front tire on the passenger side decided to pop. Being more concerned about my tire, I was distracted trying to get my car towed. After the problem was solved. I then contact them about possibly getting a refund. I was finally able to speak to an agent (Alan) and I asked him if I could get a refund. He told me because it was after the time I was not able to get a refund. He then asked me if I need help with anything else. I'm the middle of me typing another question he just logged off. Did not give me time to respond whatsoever. That was just so rude, I'm trying to talk to you about getting a refund on tickets that I PAID FOR and he just left the conversation. If that's how fandango let their customer service workers treat their customers then they have no business having me as a customer them and I use their app ALL THE TIME.

I purchased 2 tickets for a Sunday show, then my husband told me he couldn't go today..I called within 30 mins to exchange for Tues...they told me they would give my a Fandango credit and I could repurchase, which I did..
The problem is there is a credit on the acct of 5.50 and when and if I buy tickets in the future there is another service charge...We do NOT go to movies often. Only went to see Close Encounters of the Third Kind for the special engagement.
I was told by LiveChat that it could not be used for food or drink, ONLY tickets.

I tried a month ago to purchase tickets using a gift card and found out the movie theater we use you can't purchase the tickets online. So we decided we would try a theater that participates in the online service. I tried 5 times to purchase tickets online and kept getting an internal error. Then I tried calling 4 times. Twice I was disconnected or hung up on. I even asked not to be hung up on the second time. The 4th time I called I asked if I could purchase the tickets via phone and couldn't. I refuse to go to another theater using fandango. They are awful!

I purchased tickets for planet of the Apes we were not going to make the 340 show I called in enough time before my showtime I was on hold 45 minutes all I wanted was to switch from the 340 show to the 440 they said they had to send something to corporate, and I would hear something in 24-48 hours I then purchased 2 more tickets for the 440 show now Im waiting now 2 weeks just to get a refund of the first tickets I purchased. Ive called over and over talked to over 6 reps with no solution to the problem. Please dont download the app or use their service they are a complete rip off and they have your card info and can do whatever they want and not refund you terrible company

On 7/21/2017, I bought three tickets online for Dunkirk at AMC Schererville Showplace 12, (Confirmation number A0177074469). When printed out it says to take the "Print at home ticket directly to the ticket taker". Your policy was not followed by that theater, we were told to go to the back of the line because we needed printed tickets before we could enter. Your process as advertised is false. It was no better than standing in line to purchase tickets. No benefit in buying from Fandango. Please tell me where I can go to post reviews of our experience so that others will know that it doesn't benefit them. All of us are senior citizens, we bought the tickets through Fandango so we wouldn't have to stand in line so long, as your advertising suggests, but we now know that isn't true. This is just a bait and switch.

- Oh! Theater was on hold *TwentySix Minutes* till a rep came on the line. All I am getting is a massive run around. Put on hold; briefly. Because I am unable to access my Promo Code numbers, they cannot resolve this problem.
Note: Vons/Safeway stores had a deal for the Monopoly game. I "won" the maximum Fifteen Promo Code discounts for $5 off. I only used about 4 Promo Discounts. AMC contracts with Fandango. Total of THREE companies pretending to "value customers". If this is not resolved, maybe this is ***FRAUD***. Promise made to customers and not honored.

Yes, I missed the movie and was not allowed a refund or exchange due to a harsh policy...so, they just steal your money and it's okay? "Massage Envy" did the same thing and they were hit with a "Class Action Lawsuit." This is outrageous! I tried talking to them by phone...the phone just puts you on hold then after you are on hold after 45 mins...they hand up. It took me 45 mins on the computer chat line were "Amber" told me there was nothing I could do because it was after the allow time frame...what a joke! I will never use Fandango again... and will Yelp my disappointment!

I had a good experience with Fandango up until my very first time missing a movie because the parking lot of downtown Long Beach was packed and congested. We spent a good 30-45 min past the show time looking for parking while I tried to get tickets refunds because I knew we wouldn't meet the timeline of the movie even with previews. Downtown Long Beach was packed... We picked the wrong day and time to go. I thought we'd be able to get a refund from Fandango for this unfortunate incident. I immediately called them in the car but waited super long on the phone, so I chatted with their live chat support. I spoke with a girl named Andrea who was not providing a good customer experience... I was abruptly disconnected by her as I was trying to type a response back. The girl had little patience and did not wait more than 5 seconds for me to explain my situation when she asked "how can I help you?"... and I type pretty fast. Anyways, she submitted a request to corporate to review the case after telling me about the policy that says the only way to get a refund is to cancel the show before the showtime. That makes sense but in my case, we tried to make the show but was met with an unfortunate time delay. Anyways it's been 5 days and we have not heard back from corporate for a refund or credit. I'll have to give them another call.
In summary, if you miss your show for any reason, you will more than likely never get your money back or you might have to go through quite a process to get the back. Now that I experienced this about Fandango's policy, I will no longer buy movie tickets using Fandango and will not recommend it to any of my friends and family. I think it's important to have the option for a refund for legitimate and verified reasons of canceling past the show time.

Today I bought tickets to see a movie at 1230 on fandango and checked out as a guest. Once I realized I wasn't going to make the movie it said it was too late. This was my first time missing a movie and wish I would have known sooner so I wouldn't get ripped off. I got home and had to get help to login to this account that it made me create to look into getting an exchange. We noticed the statement of movie ticket policy and think it's unfair that we were unaware of this before and during purchasing tickets. I figured with a popular website like this it would give you the option to exchange if tickets not scanned/not used and I definitely didn't know I was on a time limit. You can see that my tickets weren't used and they are still telling me I am unable to even get credit back to see a different time and date. I wish there was a bit more leonience in this since I'm not very tech savvy. Please help make this fair all I'm asking is for my money back or credit.

I went to the theater and couldnt find confirmation # in. My phone and didn't have debit card with me that I purchased tickets with. So I called the customer service # no answer. I went ahead and purchased tickets to wonderwoman for a later time. And my phone died in the process of calling again so I had to call the next day. This was june 3rd today is june 17th im so frustrated . all I wanted was more tickets in exchange for the ones I couldn't retrieve at kiosk. I spoke to about 4 cust serv reps. All said they have to escalate to corporate office and it will take 5 business days I so far got no response at all . I assume i have no choice to take a $33 loss I will NEVER use fandango again.!
