I would like to complain regard to my current situation, I have been a resident of UAE from September 2012. I was working as a Nurse on a Hospital here on Abu Dhabi. for 9 years, I have loan on FAB bank with total of 120000AED paid already for 2 years and the remaining balance was 60000AED to be paid for another 2 years. At around January 25, 2025, I resigned from my previous employer and my salary for the month of January, my annual leave salary and my gratuity has been given as one End of service settlement amounting of 51000AED, which is 23000AED is my gratuity and the remaining 28000AED was my annual leave salary and salary for the month of January. And it will be only release once joined a new company. During this time the bank automatically hold my account, and my monthly payment to the bank was deducted from the withholding account or money, this time which I understandable because it was the law. At around March 09, 2022, I joined my new employer. I requested and submitted all required documents that the bank requires to unfreeze my account on April 15, 2022. My first salary was deposited on April 20, 2022, and the process started of unfreezing my account will take 2-4 days as per the customer representative. Upon these days of processing. I called their customer service to inquire regarding the possibilities of the bank un releasing my Money, and their sole answer is " It will be under review by the management" and it will be based on 2 criteria. 1. It depend on the salary 2. If the company is listed to them. And then the following day, I called up to them to inquire if my recent company is listed. according to them it is listed. Base from those criteria I think I have no issue. Because my salary went up from 11500AED to 13000AED. In this time 9 days have passed and there is no update from the bank regarding the status of my request. Upon inquiry recently [protected]) on their customer service (FAB) I was informed that they will not release the full amount because my company is not listed (Burjeel Medical City Abu Dhabi) and the money will be kept on hold to adjusted from my loan balance. Unfortunately, during the time of unemployment, I borrowed money so I can survive without my salary. I need to pay also house allowance and my son’s visa. And I’m in great stress thinking all money matters to pay for debt to other people. And considering that I submitted already all the necessary documents (New Visa, Emirates ID, Transfer of salary Account letter). Despite of all they will still not release my money?. But considering my annual leave salary and my salary from January is included on that money and still you don't have any plans on releasing it. these circumstance is really unacceptable because I earned that money. I have been banking with FAB since the start and this how I have been treated. It is really disappointing that I will be great debt to other people because of this situation and to deal a lot of stress because I need to pay other debt. Even I cannot pay my credit card dues because I don't have money to use. I don't even have money to pay for my sons visa and its already expire fro 2 months. I don't even miss to pay monthly due on my loan. In this event I already escalate this matters to the central bank of the UAE and waiting for your proper justification. And in this matter I also want to complain about your customer service despite of 9 days of waiting there is no feedback from your side to update me regarding the status, no one bother to call until now.
Desired outcome: Release my full amount of my End of settlement pay, considering I have joined my new employer and provided all necessary documents to unfreeze account.
False commitment to reach sales target by disha and meher abu
21April I was contacted by sales lady Disha from FAB requesting to restructure my existing loans on my card so that I can avoid unnecessary interest but she forced me that I need to have an insurance and a quick cash loan with this as a package. She sounded like a robot and kept repeating same conditions but never informed that the money of insurance will be debitted at one go from my card. Next day when I started contacting her, she is no longer there and I could not reach out to her. After trying for 2 hours with no luck I reached out to call centre requesting her manager to call me. Some one named Meher Abu reached out and promised latest by 23rd April 14:00 hours money will be in my account for quick cash. When I called to follow up with him on 23rd April morning he said I have to wait till Monday and he has only 6 mins left to do that. He was more aggressive and impolite and not at all professional as he kept interrupting me and said he will not give me any explanation why the money got debitted from my card. He is not at all professional for customer services. When I reminded him he promised to get the credit he kept saying he as 3 mins left over and now I have to wait for more 3 days. Later I received a call from bank stating Disha and Meher made a mistake in the rate of exchange and thus it was not processed and now its in higher interest and also without my consent Disha debitted AED 2033 from my card which I have no information. I need this to be fixed out immediately
Desired outcome: I need an urgent apology with the explanation why AED 2033 was debitted without my consent that it will be deducted at one shot for insurance and also I need a compensation for giving wrong interest rates and thus my transaction is ON HOLD
fab services are very bad , i am also applied one credit card before one month but still my card not Recieved. All documentation finished before one month. Still waiting card. Once i will call the sales person he is lagging the date. now i am calling to cancel that card but they are told me its not possible to cancel one card will deliver then you cancel . It’s been 2 yr since I am begging for the settlement of my card and no action has been taken,
Today when I m was sleeping and sleeping I got a call from a lady from collections to discuss but her approach was so negative. There was no willingness to help at all. She was acting like a police officer. I mean this is what customer service is?.
Pathetic experience
Any way I would like to receive a call from someone who is responsible and willing to help to finish this ASAP

Complaint about Mr Sharik Khan - Mirdif branch
I was contact by Mr Khan to buyout my loan which I did. The information given to me was wrong in regards to the loan rate and when I was asking him clarification, his what’s app message where very aggressive.
I then lost my job on the 28th of February and I sent him so many messages as when I joined FAB, I agreed to take insurance but when I went to the branch in emirates mall they told me the insurance didn’t cover the job lost for the loan.
I sent again another message to Sharik to confirm if the insurance covered my loan without any reply.
They only time he contacted me is when I asked for liability letter and he just wanted to know as he told me he could do something to help me so I don’t change bank.
He also told me he would call me when I lost my job which he never did and eventhough I sent him messages for his help, he totally ignored me.
This is not professional nor acceptable. I contacted him as I need help and I won’t have the money to pay for my loan in March as my company allowed me to keep my visa and the end of benefit will come only after I cancel my visa with them.
I went to the branch in emirates mall and the staff sent an email to Heretohelp for someone to call me.
Sharik should have been the one dealing with me and helping me by calling, texting or any other way but he completely Ignored me. When they want us to change bank with them, they contacted you one million times but when we need help they completely ignore us. Your staff customer service is beyond zero and it doesn’t look professional .
Desired outcome: I would like someone to brief me sharik and other staff that they must be here when customer needs them not when It’s suitable for them as they are happy when they buyout loan as they get Commission out of it
Money online transfer in mobile app
I would like to raise my complaints regarding the online money transfer to mobile app..i transferred money to another bank and it shows system maintenance failure and it is automatically deducted to my account even without asking the otp..Please send some email or notification to inform your clients to make as aware so we can avoid it..because we badly need the money and we dont know if could have it back...I feel that my account is not secured.

Credit card
Dear Friends, please try to use any other credit card other than FAB. They will not sent you OTP with how much amount and to whom they pay. I have ordered something online for AED 20 and received OTP without amount or to whom Pay. Within seconds received a message AED 7,575 is charged to your card. Informed bank same time, filed dispute that i have not approved this amount but the bank will support the Fraud by not informing us amount and payer name in OTP message. I have asked them where is the OTP which you send to me for AED 7,575, they do not have answer but only reply you have to pay. We approved AED 20 and FAB pays AED 7,575 to fraud. i have contacted them around 40 times by visiting Bank and through online and toll free channels since 5 months but bank will not listen our request and say we have to pay and no other chance to reverse. Then i have requested them to reverse at least AED 1,750 which was charged as Billed Finance Fees for this charge, bank is not ready to reverse even this as it is their Fee. So finally i have paid AED 7,575 to fraud and fee of AED 1,750 to FAB.
It is a request, Please use other banks credit cards as they will send OTP with amount and Payer name and be safe on your transactions.

Many times I complaint against my insurance charges by emails and called customer service
Without any information without my permission they took insurance charges this is clearly cheating
Desired outcome: I'm asking to return my amount or cancel my card without any fine I'll pay my outstanding balance only

From last two months, the FAB is deducting AED 175 each month from my account without any notice and reasons. I am not receiving any text messages for these deduction.
I consider these deduction as cheating and fraud by the FAB.

Account Closure
A request to close my current account was submitted a few years ago. The balance was zero at the time I gave the requested documents but they still did not close it. Every time I call, they always say they will pass the request on to the concerned team and despite numerous emails and calls I do not receive a response. I would like to receive some help resolving this issue (which shouldn't really be an issue in the first place).

First lie was the card is free for life and now I am getting a statement which shows card has membership fee plus other insurance plus some more charges and all this is by default if you sign the document.

He opened an account on 09/10/2007 at First Abu Dhabi Bank in Jumeirah Beach. He received yearly statements until you merged banks but has not received a statement since 2018.
As he was only a few days in Dubai at the time he never activated the account and when he was in Dubai recently at a branch he was told the account doesn't exist any longer and to get in touch with you.
I would apricate if you could advise how we can locate his account.

I went to that brach on December 21, 22.23 to follow up with the matter . Today we are on 16th of January, still my account is not active. My credit card was blocked in Aug 2021, and i have been following up for 6 months now.. in the past 2 monhts i have been promised at least 4 times that this will be fixed in 24 hours (by head of customer service department, customer service agents and complaints dept!) .. nobody bothers to call back and every time i get the same response - pending with collections team.. Clearance/Settlement Letter not provided after multiple follow-ups
Hello Bank Officials,
I would like to raise a complaint against existing FAB employee Mr. Sajjan Steven Dsouza (Collection department [protected]) for sharing wrong information with me.
I have been following up with him for my clearance/settlement letter and he is sharing incorrect information with me every time and delaying my clearance letter.
Due to FAB app issue, there was overcharge on my credit card which I came to know after 6 months and immediately we end up in solving and I was assured that once I will pay AED 700 my account with FAB will be settled and bank will provide me clearance letter after 30 days(i cleared on 27-Oct-21 and was promised over email that after 30 days i can expect my letter and unfortunately today is 3-Jan-22 and i haven't received anything. There is a huge difference between FAB treating me(customer) before payments and after receiving payments.
Due to your employee, I am going to recommend anyone to use FAB services in my circle.
Request you to look into this and share my settlement letter ASAP and take necessary against Mr. Sajjan for spoiling brand value of FAB.

Personal loan interest rate type – cheating during approach
Before NBAD now FAB staff, approached for personal loan and promised for the Interest rate 5.49% Fixed and Reducing Rate, according that they prepared a PDF file with EMI, Number of months, Loan start and Completion date and Rate of Interest rate. Finally I agreed that offer and signed the loan offer letter. In the offer letter which is mentioned 5.49% ROI, I asked about what is ROI, they replied were reducing of interest. In the second EMI, the Interest rate was mentioned 5.99% again I rushed to asked why it was changed, they replied please follow your Loan calculation PDF and you will not pay more than that agreed amount. At present, I lost my job and I have 3 months remaining EMI, but in the system which is showing 6.99% interest rate and I need to pay 2 more installments amount more. Finally, I inquiry Dalma Mall branch customer care, the interest rate type is VARIABLE.
I don't have an idea to take a loan from FAB, but these guys forcely approached by using Brand Name and promising the words. Really, I feel shame like using untruthful words, prepared false documents and approached from Branded Bank.
